CARD 1192 – THE MEGA SHOW – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Dragonmaster on commentary kicks off the show but it’s clear he’s not happy about no Titans being on the bill at a major event as he says “I hope you folks enjoy the show even though there are no matches involving the Titans. I don’t understand why. Just because they don’t start brawls, trash talk, flagrantly break rules or conduct sneak attacks. Doesn’t seem right to me”.
Heavyweight champ, Thunder, loses to Paragon by DQ after the Gladiators storm the ring. Paragon might regret calling Thunder a coward after their last match. No way the Gladiators are going to change their gang attack approach. If anything his words were more likely to increase the ferocity of any potential attack. It has meant that this unexpected feud is really capturing the fans. They don’t really support either of these guys but are enjoying the rivalry. As before all the hallmarks of a possible appearance by the other Gladiators were present. Ring curtain was twitching a lot as they grappled. Brute was also gazing to the back a lot. Such stuff might easily of unsettled Paragon but he is determined not to miss this big chance to become the Heavyweight champion once again. He maintains focus on Thunder and does everything he can not to give an opportunity for any disqualifications and never leaves the ring at all even when he was getting pounded on. Even Johnny Rocket was on best behaviour by choosing not to interfere. Just to try and help Paragon was a non consideration as the DQ risk was not worth it. Unfortunately such a hands off approach gave the Gladiators free rein to do what they wanted as they knew nobody would oppose them. Paragon was in great shape and controlling Thunder with big boots and choke slams. He tried one early cover hoping the quickness of it would catch any plan to rumble it out. Even if it needed a snake eyes roll to succeed. However Brute was immediately there with a distraction. His physical pulling back of the ref ought to of caused the DQ there and then. The ref knew their game though and let things continue. Trouble was the Gladiators were now on high alert to move in. Just a couple minutes later Paragon had an opportunity to cover again after a choke slam. The ref had barely got past 1 when Mayhem and Spike stormed in. Johnny Rocket was meanwhile assaulted by Brute. Mayhem wrapped his chain around Paragon’s throat from behind and yanked him off Thunder. That was the automatic DQ but they didn’t stop there. Mayhem dragged Paragon around the ring with the chain still wrapped. Spike was also firing kicks as this was happening. In the final act Thunder recovered and used THE TEMPEST several times. Paragon was left in a very bad way by the time they’d finished and had to be stretchered away. A lengthy injury lay off expected. The Gladiators laughed as they were booed away. They didn’t care one jot. The objective was to come out of the night still occupying the Heavyweight belt and they’d succeeded. The only thing we could all hope for is that Commissioner Morpheus might throw the book at them and issue long suspensions. Mandrill and Murdok steamrolled Corporal Aegis and Max Shield in a Hardcore Titan Death match. Had to be a special match as no ref fancied officiating this. Plus Massif is on holiday. So the workaround was a special match. Just needed a ref outside to call the end and they could keep a safe distance. The four combatants all meet in the centre just looking at each other for what seemed an age. Who was going to blink first? The silence at the time was deafening. Only broken by a fan in the front row impatiently shouting out “get on with it”. That was the catalyst for a flurry of action as all four move in to grapple. Hands on each others throats as we got a brawling start. Taking a good couple of minutes before anyone backed off to leave Max and Murdok as legal men in. After a few minutes of jockeying and tags in and out things settle into a period of domination for Mandrill and Murdok. Corporal Aegis is caught in the ring and cannot find a way out. He takes many big moves and is thrown out of the ring several times where he was assaulted with a stun rod found under the ring and also collides with the ring stairs. Back in the ring Mandrill starts to do most of the heavy lifting and uses his finishers a few times on Mandrill. Aegis does well to survive a few and Max was able to disrupt one pin attempt. However it is clear that Aegis needed to get a hot tag soon. Max reaches several times but it never comes. Aegis is just too weak. It’s probably the first time anyone has heard Murdok speak as he urges, maybe even orders, Mandrill to end it “finish him off monkey man”. If anyone else had called Mandrill monkey man they’d be sucking their food through a straw by now. Murdok gets away with it though. Could it be Mandrill secretly fears him too? Anyway Mandrill obligingly uses COLONIZER CLAW SLAM on the struggling Aegis again and this time he cannot find a kick out. Max was frozen on the apron. He knew this was hopeless and it was kinder to let this just end. It’s a dark day for the ROC as another battle is lost. The success of the Ravagers and Warfare earlier on couldn’t really make up for this crushing defeat. The Ravagers beat Malice and Overkill again only this time it was in a Cosmic Cage match. The Gladiators are looking for revenge against the many teams that have beaten them. One of those was the Ravagers. Ventross has publicly expressed regret in the build up for the way he wrestled too many singles matches just as the Ravagers were gathering momentum. He said “I can understand why Rankor was cross with me”. They were taking a big risk by entering into a cage match with the Gladiators though. Almost playing into their hands. Upon entering the cage and the door being shut behind Rankor appears to be claustrophobic and demands that the official demonstrate that it is not locked. He then wants to test it himself but the Gladiators, who were already inside, don’t let him. Instead Rankor is grabbed by Overkill and immediately eats metal to set the match in motion. A tough start for the Ravagers and they are on the back foot for the early part. Rankor got out the line of fire and it was Ventross taking most of the bombardment. He accumulates lots of damage via UNSTOPPABLE FORCE and TURNBUCKLE TRAP. It was only because the Gladiators were hell bent on both exiting the cage to win that saved Ventross. Giving just enough time to recover or for Rankor to stop them. Ventross eventually managed to tag Rankor in and despite all the criticism he wrestled a great match. Giving Ventross plenty of time to recharge. A match they looked very likely to lose turned as Rankor got a decent run of offence and initiated RAVAGER SACK on Malice. Although it didn’t lead to victory it did put Ventross back in as legal man. Despite being a bit bloody from the earlier beating he smells a chance to get an unlikely win and goes for the far more potent SEVERED TIES. Not an easy thing to do with someone the size of Malice. He manages it though and rather than try and exit the cage afterwards opts for the simplest way of winning via a pin. Overkill’s lack of mobility means he cannot break the pin up and the Gladiators suffer another humiliating loss. All I can say is the Gladiators are very lucky they are on Centra as all these losses would not be tolerated on Aethra.
Code Enforcer has the measure of Euritar in a Milky Way Falls Count Anywhere match. Euritar got creamed by the Code Enforcer at GALACTICON and it’s only in the last few weeks he’s gotten over it. Taking on this type of match against him was a bold decision. He looked a different guy here though. Relishing it in fact as he grappled his way through a series of rooms and locations with the cameras obediently following behind them. The most significant location was out in the main foyer which was largely empty (most fans were in the main arena). They smashed through a merchandising stand before ending up near the turnstiles at the entrance. Both of them went crashing into those possibly losing some teeth in the process. Remarkably the match found its way back to the ring which is where it ended. Code Enforcer nailed CODE CROWBAR a couple of times in a row and was able to get the pin of the back of it. Euritar may of ended up losing but he was far more competitive this time around.
Genocide makes a comeback to beat Wolf in a Castor Chain match. What a match up. Wolf won their last meeting in a Nightmare Matrix match. However Genocide would surely be far more dangerous in this more conventional type of hardcore match. There was a tug of war with the chain to start. No prizes for guessing who won that. However as Wolf got pulled right into Genocide from that he latched straight on with SAVAGE FACE CLAW aiming for a shockingly fast win. Genocide just about shook him off. It set the early pattern though as Wolf was far more aggressive with the chain and performing much better. Another attempt with his claw a bit later on came close. Then Genocide made a sudden comeback. Using a turnbuckle charge by Wolf to change the tide after getting a foot up. Genocide sparked into life after this. He smashed Wolf with a monster choke slam and then went for CORPUS GENOCIDE. It rarely misses and this was no exception. Genocide snatches victory from the jaws of defeat. They will definitely square off at least once more before the year is at an end. There was a kind of healthy respect between them at the conclusion. After the match Wolf was interviewed and asked whether the novelty of being a Brymstonian has worn off yet. Wolf snarled into the camera “the Brymstonians have been cool with me, sometimes they are misunderstood. Maybe I’ll stay with them next year, or maybe I won’t”. So that cleared that up!
Warfare defeats Trench in a Titan Death match. One of the most popular feuds in the fed is back in the spotlight. Both guys have had mixed results since splitting and both are keen to get the latest bragging rights. Expectations were that was could be a bloody one with the Titan Death rules and they didn’t disappoint. Warfare dwarfs his old partner as they size up. Although Trench quickly brings him down to the same level via a punch to the gut. They took it to the extremes after that. However it is pretty tame move that actually decides it. Warfare executes a backward head slam and covers more in hope than anything else. He looks quite surprised when it yields the three count. The good news for Warfare is he is being considered for a potential shot at the Centra belt along with guys like Archon and Blade. Winning this will only enhance those chances.
Tortured Soul beats Dreadnaught in a crazy Centra Coffin match. Poor Dreadnaught must deal with the coffin again. The latest trend is to make him wrestle zombie like guys or creature types. Tortured Soul fits the bill perfectly. It says nothing as usual on trooping out. Totally numb to everything going on around it. Doesn’t even give the coffin a second glance and just hones in on Dreadnaught. We were all praying and hoping this wouldn’t be the one where Dreadnaught finally conks out and loses all his breathing privileges. Mercifully it does not come to be despite one roll on the death chart. It becomes one of the craziest matches ever as 27 fatigue tokens are shared before Tortured Soul finally wins after ROTTING CLAW for probably the twelfth time. Dreadnaught just kept clinging on. He even received help from Thantos at one point. Once Dreadnaught reached 15 tokens he woke up and went on a brilliant offensive run that brought Tortured Soul up to 10 and offered him a chance of winning. Sadly it wasn’t to be and Dreadnaught went limp enough to be placed into the casket after picking up his 17th one. He lives on though!
Archon goes wild against Pegasus. Thought this match might never happen. They should have faced each other a long while ago until Splatter’s lottery attack on Pegasus ruined that. Finally they meet. Pegasus brags he is far too talented to lose to a midcarder like Archon. Naturally Archon disagrees “talent just like looks fade, you’re past it”. Pegasus remains oblivious to this and despite repeated failures in past few months is still believing another Heavyweight title run is imminent. Calls Archon a mere stepping stone to that right to his face. Commando Sam barks from ringside “make him eat those words”. Sam needed to keep an eye on Reynard B. Guile who seemed to be fiddling with his top hat. As if he was keeping something hidden in there. He decides to take no chances and goes for B. Guile and the hat went flying. B. Guile was horrified as same brass knuckles are discovered sewn into the top. Means Pegasus is going to have to actually wrestle his way through this. Something he has been struggling with these days. Initially he is in control but Archon is determined and forces his way back. Managing to reach his potent L3O which is always bad news for an opponent. First he rattles Pegasus with THE RIOT ACT and then manages to get ARCHON SLEEPER CLAMP on. Pegasus can’t break free and gets no help from B. Guile who is too scared of Sam. He eventually fades and Archon puts him on the deck to pin him for one his biggest career victories. Archon, in keeping with his new found aggression, refuses to release the sleeper hold. It takes a few security guys to prise him off of Pegasus. Some fans cheer whilst others boo the extreme behaviour. As Archon walks away he is given a pat on the back by Sam who says “he had it coming”. Pegasus is furious and later cuts a promo wearing a neck brace vowing revenge for such disrespectful behaviour. For the record Pegasus is injured for 1 card.
Terminus digs deep to see off Blade. A rankings match more than anything. However a match with great potential to be a classic considering the talent both possess. Terminus is frustrated that he cannot quite manage to reach the top again. He knows Bloodline could easily replace him as the main guy on Team CPC and he’ll be downgraded to pursuing the Centra belt, once Bloodline has finished with it, if he doesn’t get back to being successful. After a slow start Terminus had some early domination. Then Blade has a great spell. Terminus looking bamboozled by his speed and having to survive BLADE OF RETRIBUTION. Blade’s failure to finish with the move signalled the end of the upset possibility. Terminus gathers himself and comes on strong again. He managed to connect with a shoulder breaker of considerable force. It stunned Blade long enough to get him pinned. Lorelei saw the danger but mistimed her distraction and was ignored by the ref. Thantos goaded her failure “you’re out of your depth, go back to breast feeding your brat son”. Unspeakable Horror defeated the Hellions by DQ. Even though women against men match ups are being phased out some were booked weeks (even months) ago and still allowed to happen. Here the Hellions meet their own kind. Not that they have ever had any alliance with them and this shows it. They are ahead of the game to deal with Malpeh. A large net falls from above the ring entrance as Maleph flies out and traps him. Took until the match was over for Blazing Skull to use fire to burn through it and release him. For someone so akin to violence Maleph surprisingly holds no grudge “they did what they had to do”. As for the match itself, Blazing Skull threatened to turn the ring into a furnace. His skull was pulsing red and creating mini explosions from the get go. Perhaps because of what had happened to Maleph his anger was being reflected in this way. He gave Serpentine some pretty tough treatment after BURNING TOUCH soon followed by a dose of DEATH BY FIRE. Maybe he took pity on her because she was a Brymstonian for it was the watered down +3 version. He may then of wished he’d put more into its explosive force as she embarrasses him with a kick out and a hot tag. Hunger then comes in and uses her speed to give Blazing a torrid time. However in her haste to punish him shows no stealth in using ABDOMINAL HUNGER and gets disqualified. The ref seemed pretty keen to call it as he was in the middle of all this and in very real danger of getting burned himself. I suppose a DQ outcome between all these Brymstonians was fitting and nobody loses face. Mike Fortune defeated Tough Guy after a comeback. Tough Guy makes a rare appearance. He’s hardly made an effort this year. It was actually a surprise to see him make the curtain call for this one. Is totally alienated as not even the Terrorists are with him. His old partner, Mike Fortune, looks fearsome as he holds with him a huge replica gun waiting for him. At least we hope it’s a replica. Tough Guy didn’t look intimidated though and actually bosses most of the match. However he cannot finish Fortune off. Fortune is able to make a comeback and wins after THE HANGMAN. As Fortune pushes Tough Guy into a corner and stands over him he gets surprised by Sniper attacking him from behind. She had just wrestled and stayed close by to watch this. Krakan failed to stop her. Even he didn’t want to hurt his own daughter. Sniper has a rifle of her own and strikes with a lot of force to take Fortune down. Tough Guy joins her after a while and they really put the boot in to leave Fortune injured.
Thrash mauled Sniper. Both with something to prove. Sniper’s made no secret about wanting to hold the ladies belt again but stumbled in her last match with Supernova. Whilst Thrash continues to struggle for respect among her own kind because (a) she is female and (b) she just cannot match some of the other women in the fed such as Sniper, Amazonia and Supernova and have a period of dominance in the ladies division. Maybe things are about to change for her though if tonight is anything to go by as she absolutely mauled Sniper and won in just a couple of minutes after FEMME FATAL. It’s madness how things can change for a wrestler. Sniper is unbeatable for almost two years and now looking very vulnerable since dropping the belt.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1189 - 1192)
Champions
*GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Thunder (Top Contender: Rising Sun) *GWFC Tag Champs: Titan Attack (Top Contenders: Disorder X) *GWFC Centra Champ: Bloodline (Top Contender: Warfare) *GWFC Ladies Champ: Anaxis (Top Contender: Supernova) Latest News: Phantast’s appearances with the ROC team have been sporadic since aligning himself. He’s been more of a symbolic manager than anything else. Now they have become non-existent as rumours of a return to the known dimension sweep through the fed. Phantast has been devoting his time to exploring the possibility of a return journey. The return is said to be even more dangerous.
Bit of a niche item but GWFC merchandising has released a set of stress dolls based on Rouser. He is that hated at the moment that there is a market for something people can pull and just generally take out their frustrations on. Rouser doesn’t think its funny and has had several run ins with fans who wave the doll under his face.
More signs that Wolf’s union with the Brymstonians could soon be at an end. After another team building trip to Primus where the plan was to cause carnage the team set upon a group of wandering primitives. Several of whom were burned 🔥 badly by Blazing Skull’s DEATH BY FIRE. Wolf immediately abandoned the trip and says destroying stuff is fun but they went too far this time.
Dreadnaught has almost survived another year despite his terrible health. Renewed calls for him to retire before it’s too late go unheard. He’s a stubborn old mule that accepts his fate to be a likely death in the ring. The chance of it happening set to increase in 2112 whether that be here on Centra or back in the known dimension.
The hideous gang attack by the Gladiators on Paragon has gone largely unpunished. A mere 1 card suspension for Thunder, Spike and Mayhem will barely register on the richter scale. Some people think Commissioner Morpheus is intimidated by the Gladiators and in their pockets. Perhaps he fears another murder taking place if they get too ticked off. Their victim, Paragon, suffered bad injuries set to sideline him for 6 cards and at risk of missing TEAM SUPREME next month. He vows to be back for that and to wrestle through the pain barrier. He also won’t be dropping his pursuit of the belt and knows he can beat Thunder if he can just get him into a special match environment. For now though he must step aside for someone else to allow his injuries time to heal and hope when he’s fully fit that the fed still recognises him as the top contender.
Sniper is trying to mend her on/off relationship with Tough Guy. She took a big risk by attacking Mike Fortune on the last show. He seemed pretty ungrateful though.
INJURED – Pegasus (1), Mike Fortune (2), Paragon (6); SUSPENDED – Thunder, Spike, Mayhem (1) WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: MURDOK - This guy has an aura about him all the time and is now getting some significant results albeit with some help from Mandrill. He is only going to get more dangerous as his experience of wrestling increases. If he does make the trip back to the known dimension those there will be pretty shocked. A new super villain in the making. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: DISORDER X - Despite detesting each other they have creeped into the top contenders spot and actually won the majority of their matches this year. The latest of which was a very impressive performance to see off Theatre of Pain and rubber stamp their title shot.

CARD 1193 – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS: Murdok gets the better of Corporal Aegis again in a Hydra Lumberjack match. Another lumberjack match is booked. Fans can’t get enough of them. Mandrill is one of the lumberjacks again. He has been taking credit for the previous outcome. Once again a security team sits between the two sets of lumberjacks but that might not be enough to keep the two warring factions apart this time. Things did threaten to spiral out of control several times. Murdok was overall the stronger of the two and had many pin attempts. Although he did get lucky when Corporal Aegis had some joy and launched into Opening Salvo to set up CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. Murdok fell through the ropes and landed near his allies though. After that Aegis couldn’t build much noteworthy offence. He just looked leggy and when Murdok caught him with a guillotine on ropes he was done for. Twin Blood defeated Disorder X. Mace and Grunge are in a better position than Twin Blood for once as they have an opportunity to go for the titles very soon. They just needed to try and keep their sh*t together in what is a massive month for them. Alas arguing with each other comes so naturally to them. They have a brief shoving match before the bell as they disagree over who should start off. Thantos has head in his hands as Dreggs casually walks over and smashes their heads together and then makes the decision for them as he grabs hold of Grunge. Despite that bad start Disorder X do get it together to give Twin Blood a tough match. They even gave Dreggs a scare with DECIMATION. Twin Blood have still got too much class though and eventually close out the win via SEEING DOUBLE on Grunge. They then try to continue laying into Grunge after the bell. It’s not very heroic but when a feud is as intense as this I guess it’s understandable. Maybe they were hoping to injure him ahead of Disorder X’s tag title shot. They don’t succeed though as it was only a 1 card injury. Mace cut the attack short even though doesn’t like Grunge. Guess he has got eyes on the gold and an injured Grunge is no good to him. Enigma over Painmaster via DQ. Two under appreciated guys on their respective teams. Both keen to remind everyone how good they are. At least Enigma seems to have more support from within his own team as Johnny Rocket is at ringside. Painmaster doesn’t have the same luxury as Rouser (for unknown reasons) is not with him. Not the first time this has happened. Anyway it was all Enigma. He was zipping around all over the place. However ENIGMA SUICIDA almost cost him dear with a big miss. Painmaster cannot capitalise and just ends up stupidly getting disqualified for dissenting the ref.
Team With No Name beat Transformer. Fresh off a win over Desolation Factor perhaps the Jesters are creeping towards a title shot. However this is probably where you need someone managing your affairs as a match against the struggling Transformer isn’t really a way of kicking on. At least they stay hot with a win. Having got away with one as Monad’s SURFBOARD SUBMISSION got foiled they started causing confusion to get on top. It was the original Mad Jester who got them the win after JAGGED EDGE on Nth Degree. US. Traitor has too much for the Soulwatcher. They’d already grappled before this. The Soulwatcher showing what a great human being he is by stopping Traitor from rumbling the previous match with Ms. Liberty. Traitor angrily warns the Soulwatcher he will suffer the brand of cygnus as punishment. Thankfully the Soulwatcher avoided that humiliation even though he lost to TURNCOAT FLYER. Ms. Liberty returned the favour as she rushed down the runway and dispersed a fire extinguisher all over Mangus and Traitor as they set up the branding process. It allowed the Soulwatcher to get away safely. Taechon downed Ms. Liberty. Sadly Ms. Liberty was outclassed and eventually beaten via Dragon’s Claw. It got worse though as Mangus then branded her on the arm. That was bad enough but then US. Traitor showed up laughing and wanted it done again “only this time do it to her face”. Before this terrible act could happen the Soulwatcher, who was due to face US. Traitor next, showed up and grappled with Traitor. He was outnumbered and took a bit of a beating. It was enough to save her though. It was a real act of chivalry.

CARD 1194 – TERRONAUT TOWERS: Very strong show from the Gladiators with three wins out of three.
Heavyweight champ, Thunder, made mincemeat of Rising Sun. Arguably the two top performing wrestlers of this year meet. For Rising it represents a great chance to end on the ultimate high. He is very keen to win the belt again and do himself justice. His previous run didn’t make it past one successful defence. It came during a period when the belt was like a bar of soap and nobody could hold onto it. In fact Thunder was the man that beat him so hopefully revenge was in the air. Trouble is Rising wasn’t just up against Thunder. He had to worry about whether the other Gladiators would bulldoze the match if things weren’t going Thunder’s way. They weren’t needed though as Thunder showed his ability with a fairly comprehensive win. Rising was faster out the blocks and got to his L3O quite quickly. Thunder thwarted the danger and on lifting a knee into Rising’s head having been thrown into the turnbuckle took over. A few meaty moves and then came THE TEMPEST twice in a row. However it was a double undertook DDT which yielded the pin. Thunder is looking like he’s going to be extremely tough to beat for the title. It’s a long, long way off breaking any records but I feel any title reign that goes past 20 cards is noteworthy. This one is already up to 24 cards. Ladies champ, Anaxis, goes over Supernova by DQ. Everyone hoping Supernova can return to the top of the ladies division. Feels like so long since she’s had the belt (almost 3 years). She’s had to conquer a few demons whilst on Centra. Sadly she’ll have to wait a while longer. Looked in great form and was putting together some really decent moves. Anaxis was struggling to get any foothold. However after a spinning back kick put her down near the ropes she rolled outside to break the momentum. Supernova was incensed as was about to go for her finisher. She knew Anaxis was trying to cause a DQ outcome to keep the belt. So Supernova set about getting her back in the ring straight away. The ref wanted her to stay put so he could lay a count on. Supernova wasn’t about to let that happen. She gave him a light shove and leapt over the top rope. As she was then grabbing Anaxis by the hair to force her back in the bell sounded. Supernova couldn’t believe how pernickity the ref had been on hearing the official announcement.
The Ramparts crushed the Betrayers. The relentless schedule of Corporal Aegis continues. This time teaming with Warfare. Aegis doesn’t believe in pigeon holing ones self as a singles or tag wrestler. He says of teaming with Warfare that if they click then a raid on the tag belts might not be out of the question. The fact they have gone so far as to name the team adding weight to that. However the Betrayers are a difficult opponent and have proven themselves to be a very useful team. So it makes the fact the Ramparts ended up crushing them pretty significant. Corporal Aegis and Trench didn’t get a look in as the two powerhouses Warfare and Wraith went at it. Warfare proving the stronger of the two and pinning Wraith after THE BIG PAYBACK. Wraith got double the satisfaction as Trench’s pathetic pin save attempt ended with him being sent flying over the top rope and colliding with and breaking Rouser’s sign. Nothing was going to stop Warfare tonight. Can he take this into his big shot at the Centra belt next week? If Bloodline was watching he will surely be worried.
Vengeance beat Grovel by DQ. The final decision on Vengeance’s murder case looms. He could soon be incarcerated in a Centra jail for life. Maybe this was on his mind. He wasn’t at his best. Didn’t have to do much though for Grovel started going crazy outside the ring for some reason. Lorelei couldn’t calm him down. Eventually Blade, who was still exhausted after the last match, came out to help his mother. Anarchy defeated Blade by count-out. Blade’s journey towards a shot at the Centra belt stumbled at THE MEGA SHOW after losing to Terminus. Needs a win here but that’s easier said than done against Anarchy. He takes a hell of a beating including CRUCIFIX DROP twice. Lorelei kept him going through those. There was only so much she could do though. Later Blade takes an Anarchy atomic drop followed by a Brymstone Bludgeon after which he rolls under the bottom rope and lays in a heap. Lorelei fears for his safety if she tried to get him back in the ring to beat the count. She just crouches over him to protect and lets the ref finish counting. … Lorelei’s intervention proves a valuable time saver as the match was descending into a stalemate Malice and Overkill obliterated Society of Death. The misfiring Gladiators trying to look strong again. They have been awful with a losing run on TV stretching back to GALACTICON and including a failure to even make it into ONLY THE BEST. Here though they show things might be about to change with a devastating win. Mutant got set upon before the bell by Malice whilst Overkill took care of Splatter. It assumed the foetal position in the corner but the punishment did not stop and at the point of the bell ringing got dragged up and subjected to the Wasteland and pinned. Officially it was all over in two moves and less than 30 seconds. In truth far more bombardment had rained down on Mutant. Krakan didn’t look happy but he knew better than to confront Brute over the heavy handed actions of the Gladiators.

CARD 1195 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Tag champs, Titan Attack, successfully defended against Disorder X. The Titans are loving life as the champs. They make a huge deal of posing for selfies with fans and letting them touch the belts. Their ring entrance takes a long time. Disorder X impatiently jumps their curtain call and starts brawling with them on the runway. After a ropey first few minutes the Titans begun to find a rhythm. Ursa Major managed to catch Mace out with SHOTGUN CRADLE to keep the belts safe. In true Mace style he blames anyone but himself for the loss. His main target is of course Grunge who he says should have tried a pin save and not been daydreaming. Could be the final nail in the coffin for Disorder X. They’d done surprisingly well this year despite their problems. However this has been a disastrous month with 2 major losses. Centra champ, Bloodline, digs in to see off Warfare. Ahead of this Archon, who had just wrestled, was making lots of noise to lose the FDF even more fans. He was convinced he would be challenging Bloodline and thinks the Commissioner unfairly favours ROC wrestlers because we are on Centra. The two combatants ignored all that noise and served up a decent match. Bloodline had it hard for many parts of the match as Warfare made his power and size work well. But when the going gets tough the tough get going and Bloodline showed a great ability to adapt. He managed to stop the momentum with an awesome Avengers Cannon. Then his CETUS MASTERLOCK did a great job to weaken Warfare. It probably played a big part in the finish. Warfare took a risk by trying a deathjump. Not looking comfortable as his leg was bothering him. Suffice to say he missed big time and shook the ring on impact. Bloodline scurried across and covered him to retain the belt. Thantos looked very happy. He’s already got the Centra and Ladies belt in his team. Could very well be adding the tag belts before the night is through.
Wolf went over Corporal Aegis. In his short wrestling career Aegis has already faced most of the top heels (with mixed results). Now that Wolf is one a meeting was inevitable. It was a topsy turvy match. Both had many moments of coming strong without any of the really big moves coming out. The fans were very behind Aegis but not giving Wolf too much hostility. Probably because there have been signs of late that he might be about to drop the Brymstonians. However the way he eventually won this was extremely heelish. A dastardly chair shot doing the deed. Aegis got split open by it and then tied up in a pin that he was unable to burst out of quick enough. Sadly it becomes one of many losses members of the ROC have suffered this year. The Ravagers overcome Rebel Empire by DQ. With a win over the Gladiators last month at CLASH ON CENTRA the Ravagers are fancied to maybe grab an upset against Rebel Empire. They took that confidence into this and looked strong against Rebel Empire. Doing a particularly good job on the hulking Vendetta. Unfortunately they were denied the pin victory that would have really helped boost their ranking. Vendetta triggers a brawl with Ventross amid which he grabbed Rouser’s sign. He broke it over Ventross’s head. Ventross later calls it a cowardly act “he knew he would soon be pinned and preferred to lose by disqualification”.
Archon wins a heated battle with Lance At-Las. Lance signs a match against Archon because “this is a message to Sam that I am no longer part of the FDF”. To be fair the match began in a good spirit. Sam was at ringside although he stayed pretty quiet and never tried to approach Lance. Then out of nowhere Archon turned up the heat by smashing Lance into ring steps and taking things outside more and more. Lance tried to fight fire with fire and his moments. However Archon had too much for him in the end and used THE RIOT ACT to win. Genocide pulverised Sir Ender. Poor Sir Ender freaks out when he sees Genocide rush through the curtain. He shouts “I was duped, I was told I’d be facing that weakling Buck Steele”. As expected Genocide dismantled him although Sir Ender did get a roll on his L3O after managing a clumsy piledriver having been thrown into the ropes and Genocide dropping for a back drop too early. Naturally he bungled the advantage and not long after was smashed with CORPUS GENOCIDE.

CARD 1196 – THE THURSDAY NIGHT TUSSLE – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Colonizers of Centra destroyed the Ramparts of Centra in a Circinus Cell Battlezone match. Massive meeting with 6 guys in each side. This was going to be a long one. Would the Colonizers be the same threat without Murdok? His mere presence sends chills down the spine. Despite this Mandrill is extremely confident. The Colonizers have had the edge over the ROC overall. Poor Corporal Aegis was looking exhausted. He’s so in demand that he’s had a big match every week for the past 6 weeks. Probably taking on far too much which explains the past losses. The Colonizers were hoping to rub more salt into the wounds and boy did they do just that. It was almost a sweep, Order of wrestlers was randomly drawn, here’s how it went down … Wraith eliminated Rankor. Really long first match. Wraith battered Rankor at first but unable to finish him off. Rankor stirs and makes a comeback of sorts. Then Wraith gets back on top and finally wins after PHANTOM JACKHAMMER. He’s blowing though and on 3 tokens. A brief rest means he can shed 1 for the next opponent … Corporal Aegis managed to defeat Wraith via CORPORAL PUNISHMENT. Aegis puts recent setbacks behind him to give an inspired performance. He even fights off Nefarus who joined in when they were grappling on the top of the cage … Painmaster disposed of Corporal Aegis. Frantic action. Both abused their bodies big time. At one point Aegis walked Painmaster round the cage to smash him into all four sides and then performed his finisher twice. Still not enough to win. Painmaster surged back with THE TORTURE RACK twice but Aegis wouldn’t give in. Eventually something had to give and Painmaster managed to pin Aegis after an Impale clothesline … Painmaster overcame Warfare. Painmaster on the brink of collapse by the end after a long and draining battle. So much fatigue. Only his better ring skills kept him in it as long as he did. He managed to get Warfare with an Impale clothesline … Painmaster sees off Max Shield. Incredible showing from Painmaster as he brushes off all his fatigue to win after THE TORTURE RACK. He did get some help from Wraith who came out again and climbed to the top of the cage. He waited for them to climb through the hole at the top and attacked Max … Painmaster injures Ventross by throwing him off the top of the cage onto the concrete floor. It’s a shocking moment and Ventross was in bad shape … Painmaster seals the entire match by easily beating Tocsin. One of the all time great performances as he wins his fifth match up against his former partner. He actually tried to do the same to Tocsin as he did to Ventross. Thankfully Tocsin fought him off. However once back in the cage Painmaster was all over him. Having looking on verge of collapse a few matches ago he now seemed to just be getting stronger. Tocsin is put into THE TORTURE RACK and submits pretty quickly. This was bad for the ROC. They’d lost big with only the one victory. Genocide mauled Murdok. A long time coming ever since their skirmish at GALACTICON and the immediate aftermath. Murdok arrived first and eerily stands in the middle of the ring with a vacant look. It’s the calm before the storm. His concentration soon gets broken by the cacophony of noise that always accompanies the announcment of Genocide. He bursts through the curtain running like a lunatic. He doesn’t slow down as he hits the ring and lunges into Murdok with both fists together. Murdok is almost as powerful but still not at the level of Genocide. He cannot withstand such a ferocious impact and tumbles through the ropes. Genocide stays in the ring and shakes the ring ropes with excitement. Murdok takes some time getting up and realises he might be outmatched. He needed to find a chink in the armour of Genocide. Trouble is he lacks wrestling experience and Genocide is hardly the sort to be gripped by fear at this undead ruler being that was stood before him. Murdok climbed back into the ring and tried a few moves with very little effect. Then pulling with all his might he managed to throw Genocide into one of the turnbuckles. He succeeded and went to follow up with a shoulder charge. Genocide easily moved away though and Murdok met with the buckle and also the post. Then a huge cheer goes up as Genocide gives the signal for CORPUS GENOCIDE. He rarely misses and this was no exception. Murdok was taken out. Before he could cover though he was distracted by a disturbance on the runway. It was Mandrill coming down to rumble things. No way Genocide was going to take any risks. He waits for Mandrill to try and enter and unloads with violent stomps and punches. Mandrill immediately regrets what he has done as Genocide drags him up and smashes his head into Murdok who had literally just made it back to his feet. It was two for the price of one. Genocide then mounted the turnbuckle and did the move again. An even heftier impact perhaps. No surviving that and a brilliant win attained. Beating Murdok is never going to remove the fear factor but it was still a little reassuring for everyone to see. Archon heaps more misery onto Pegasus. Making up for lost time. They square off again. Even more heat this time as Pegasus vows revenge for Archon’s thuggish behaviour last month. Commando Sam was driving Pegasus round the bend outside with his militaristic instructions. Several times Pegasus broke off Archon to trade verbals with Sam. Reynard B. Guile for once is the voice of reason and urging Pegasus to ignore it and get on with wrestling. It must of had an effect though as when Pegasus did he was second best to Archon. Struggled to reach his own L3O at any point. Archon had no such problems and once he gets going on it can be very difficult to disrupt. He was going to town on Pegasus with his finishers. B. Guile was working overtime with various distractions. Could only do so much and when Archon used THE RIOT ACT for a second time in the match it was over.
Ninja Assassins defeated Desolation Factor by DQ. Despite Reynard B. Guile mismanaging them the Ninja Assassins are back among the top contending tag teams. Their non-title DQ victory over Titan Attack has a lot to do with that. They manage to grab another DQ win here. Key to beating a team like Desolation Factor is just hang in there til they make a mistake or get frustrated and go and do something silly. Ruin does exactly this as he ‘ruins’ the contest by triggering an out of ring brawl and wildly throwing Daeman across the announcer’s table. B. Guile was very influencing of the ref as he was complaining through most of the match and urging him to disqualify Desolation Factor for their roughhouse tactics.
Maelstrom beats and then brands Lance At-Las. Lance remains a huge hit with the fans. As part of a building rivalry with Cygnus Strikeforce we see the Soulwatcher show up at ringside. Mangus warns him that he is on the list for branding. He also points at Lance and says “you are also a viable target for your humanoid appearance and be a neighbour and friend of Earth”. That gets the match heated right away. Ends up being very evenly matched. Maelstrom did win it though after ANNIHILATOR EDGE. Then as promised Mangus enters to commence the branding. The Soulwatcher was rendered unable to help as US. Traitor came from behind and used the Cygnus flagpole to smash his legs from behind. Lance was unable to break free of both members of Cygnus Strikeforce and Mangus branded his torso.
Dreggs overcame Prodigy. Change of environment for Dreggs. Wrestling solo. He’s pretty capable though and in command. Prodigy probably underestimated him and is left red faced as he loses to TWIST AND SHOUT. Prodigy needs a fresh start perhaps back in Dimension K. He is a legend in the ring but has struggled to push himself above Terminus and Bloodline in the pecking order on Team CPC and won’t feature as part of its TEAM SUPREME line up. Unexpected defeats like this haven’t helped.
Maxine Babe beats Nora Pelf in the blink of an eye. Nora vows to mess up Maxine’s pretty face after she was branded ugly by her a few days ago. In her haste to get at her she mistimed the first move of a match which was a knee lift. Maxine then took advantage of her defences being down and hit a Babe Blockbuster for a shock win in 2 moves. Ironic that so soon after Nora posted the fastest ever win over Rouser she then gets beaten in what is the second quickest match of the entire year. Timed at about 10 seconds.
Meteor pinned Sir Ender. It’s amazing that Sir Ender was even able to recover from last weeks mauling from Genocide. He clearly fancied his chances here and was blowing kisses and throwing roses into the crowd. However he was well beaten. Although Meteor is considered a jobber he’s still well above Sir Ender’s level. Needed a few minutes but eventually got him with a CHICKEN WING SUPLEX. Sir Ender later claimed he was in fact still nursing injuries and couldn’t give his best or else he would have easily won.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1193 - 1196)
Champions *GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Thunder (Top Contender: Genocide/Paragon) *GWFC Tag Champs: Titan Attack (Top Contenders: Team With No Name/Ninja Assassins) *GWFC Centra Champ: Bloodline (Top Contender: Archon) *GWFC Ladies Champ: Anaxis (Top Contender: Taechon) Latest News: The Circinus Cell Battlezone match between the ROC and the Colonizers took all the headlines and rightly so. Painmaster was incredible as he went through the entire ROC team himself. He’d had such a draining match with Warfare early in that run that nobody thought he’d survive another match let alone three of them. Rankor rages as Ventross was hospitalised and knocked out of action for the next 5 cards ruining a potential shot at the tag belts. He seems to be blaming Ventross himself for being weak and allowing himself to get thrown off the top of the cage by Painmaster. Doesn’t visit him at all. It all means the ROC is in a bad place and all they can do is try and claw back some respect in the final month of the year.
All the champions safely finished the month still holding their belts. Not too many times that has happened. I see this as a good thing to get some stability. Especially with the most prestigious Heavyweight belt that Thunder holds. He’s done a good job of making it hard to win again as he is now up to 26 cards which is just over half my game year. Although the gang attacks used by the Gladiators to keep him as the champion are deeply unpopular with fans. He will be severely tested next month though. Commissioner Morpheus and the championship committee have clashed over the identity of the next top contender. Morpheus wants it to be Genocide due to the way has mown down opposition. They want it to be Paragon. You cannot argue against him deserving another shot which was cruelly denied this month due to the Gladiators injuring him. The solution is sure to not go down well with Thunder. First he must defend against Genocide. Then and only if he is still the champion he must face Paragon in the last card of the year with the belt on the line. They are booked to square off anyway in what will be the blow off to their feud. It may end up being non-title if Thunder loses the belt though. Paragon will be in the strange situation of supporting Thunder when the match against Genocide takes place.
Unexpected rivalries could be brewing. Lance At-Las has had enough of Commando Sam and even wrestled a match with Archon which he lost. It was done to prove the ties have been cut. The good spirit it was supposed to be fought on went down the pan as Archon started getting all hardcore. Lance was not happy about that and calls Sam a hypocrite. Preaching the code and then not following it. Sam has always said the FDF only goes hardcore as a revenge act. Against Lance there was no cause for revenge. Archon threw out the rule book unprovoked.
Another little rivalry surrounds the Soulwatcher and Cygnus Strikeforce. Mangus did the vile act of branding Ms. Liberty and it could have been worse had the Soulwatcher come to her aid. She then returned the favour for him in the next match. Sadly the Soulwatcher was unable to save Lance At-Las from the same humiliation later in the month. Mangus is now vowing to get the Soulwatcher branded as punishment for his sticking his nose in where it’s not wanted.
Final rivalry is between Maxine Babe and Nora Pelf. Ironically Nora suffered the second fastest loss of the year and one of the fastest ever at the hands of Maxine. Just weeks after Nora set the record herself. She is humiliated and also angry at Maxine’s boasting on Centra Spacebook. Add to that all the unflattering things Maxine has been saying about her looks and we got a grudge match brewing.
With a return to Dimension K looking imminent this final month is being seen as a farewell tour. It will be dramatic especially with TEAM SUPREME up next. Who can forget last years show where Team CPC and the Colonizers shared the win? Mandrill claims Thantos never did share the trophy. Anyway this cannot happen again. Commisioner Morpheus says in the event of everything being tied then the decider will be one more match. The twist being is if additional team members exist that were not selected then they must be the ones chosen. Mandrill, showing he has no respect for his own team, offers Murdok a spot on the Colonizer A team. Murdok takes him up on the offer with the likes of Wraith, Trench and Painmaster frozen out and put on the B team (which at the time of their non-selection it wasn’t known the event would be so big as to be able to include an extra B team). It’s stirred up old feelings of resentment from Painmaster who says “I’m not happy, he casts me off and then just clicks his fingers and expects me to come running. Well one day I may not come running”. He certainly has a right to feel hard done by given the excellent year he has had. Mandrill says very little by way of response except for “Painmaster has a habit of making mountains out of molehills. He better watch his tongue”. There was discontent also on the Rocketmen as Paragon wanted to wrestle despite still being injured. Johnny Rocket had a hell of a tough time persuading him that he should sit it out and let Enigma replace him. As it could very well be the last ever event held in Centra it is going to be bigger than ever before. 16 teams instead of 8. Special dispensation for females to compete. Mainly so the likes of the Centaurians and Terrorists can field full teams. There’s even a separate team called Girl Power where Supernova, Ms. Liberty and the Hellions have been brought together. Just don’t expect them to get along. Plus a couple of independent teams going into it that I might rename to something more catchy come the event itself. There will be a marathon of 45 matches across the two days. So why not round it up to 50 by having 5 supporting matches. Almost the entire roster will be involved in one way or another. It’s the biggest event ever held! TEAM SUPREME FIRST ROUND DRAW (Team Captains in bold): Rocketmen (Enigma, Twin Blood, Skinhead)-Colonizers of Centra B (Rouser, Betrayers, Painmaster) … Hitmen (Dark Justice, Society of Death, Mike Fortune)-The Terrorists (Vyper, Living Dangerously, Draconian Sheik) … Girl Power (Supernova, Hellions, Ms. Liberty)-The Great Comeback (Pegasus, Ninja Assassins, Euritar) … ROC (Max Shield, The Ramparts, Tocsin)-Independent Villains (Nth Degree, Cygnus Strikeforce, Monad) … Independent Heroes (The Soulwatcher, Theatre of Pain, Lance At-Las)-Team CPC (Bloodline, Disorder X, Terminus) … Fighting Titans (Meteor, Titan Attack, Rising Sun)-Gladiators of Aethra (Thunder, Malice and Overkill, Vengeance) … FDF (Archon, Desolation Factor, Code Enforcer)-Colonizers of Centra A (Murdok, Rebel Empire, Mandrill) … The Centaurians (Grovel, Cutting Edge, Genocide)-Brymstone Burning (Wolf, Unspeakable Horror, Tortured Soul) ADDITIONAL MATCHES: Taechon-Anaxis … Team With No Name-Animen Invasion … Dreadnaught-Prodigy … Spike-Rankor … Mayhem-Sir Ender
INJURED – Paragon (2) Ventross (5); SUSPENDED – none WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: PAINMASTER - one of the all time great performances as he single handedly carries the Colonizers to victory over the ROC in a Circinus Cell Battlezone match. Add this to his Centra belt run a few months back and he’s had a brilliant year. Despite this Mandrill still doesn’t rate him and discards him from the Colonizer A team that will compete at TEAM SUPREME. Absolute madness. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: MALICE AND OVERKILL - may seem a strange one given how wretched they have been this year. However they way they pulverised the Society of Death suggests things might be about to change. If the return to Dimension K happens they might be fearing Aethra finding about their failures. They may just have time to rescue the situation with this dominating win and then a strong showing at the forthcoming TEAM SUPREME.

He made him submit to THE TORTURE RACK)

CARD 1197 – TEAM SUPREME – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Previous Winner – Colonizers of Centra and Team CPC shared the trophy Rules refresh. This event takes place over 2 days. Generally don’t carry over fatigue as long breaks. Not unless someone was totally beaten to a pulp in a previous bout. All regular matches. Managers are still allowed at ringside although I may change this in the future. Judges award points to each side for every match up to a max of 4. Team captains score a bonus point for their matches so long as they score. So the highest score a team can attain is 13. Very unlucky for any opposing team if that happens. Added attractions: Taechon defeated Anaxis by DQ in a non-title match. A rehearsal for their title match later in the month. Anaxis looks repulsed by Taechon whose gender neutrality is not popular among the female roster leaving him/her largely alienated. Guess its no surprise Taechon hooked up with the Cygnusians. Not that he/she has any support her. Mangus has greater priorities. Despite that Taechon comes close to an upset with CONTACT POINT after only a handful of moves. Clearly that riled Anaxis as she responded with CALL OF THE SIREN almost immediately but Taechon just kicked out in nick of time. After that frantic start things settle down and it’s very even with not too much happening. That was until Anaxis decided to break yet another bowl after burying over Taechon’s head during a brawl which led to the DQ. Guess she decided she’s got nothing to lose by doing so and it might injure Taechon ahead of the match that matters. Team With No Name made fools of Animen Invasion. Not much backstory for this. Son of Ram tried to generate a bit of heat by calling the Jesters freaks of nature not fit to grace the ring with Animen legends such as he and Antak. Nobody was really interested and he got so worked up that loads of steam started coming out his nostrils which gave the zany Jesters a big laugh. He was so worked up that he tried charging them immediately. Missed and flew through the middle rope. This left Antak having to start and he is even weaker than Ram. Got absolutely owned and polished off in little over a minute after A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. To add insult to injury the Jesters then squirted the barely conscious Antak with condiments. They decided mustard would be better this time around and gave Antak a yellow moustache and beard before giggling and skipping away. Prodigy pinned Dreadnaught. Prodigy will be aggrieved to not of been part of the main competition for Team CPC. Instead relegated to this filler match and having to face a health liability like Dreadnaught. He said in the build up “I don’t want a dead body on my conscience”. It took Thantos to persuade him to do it. Thantos wants to help his old comrade out and feels bad that Dreadnaught keeps getting thrust into cheesy coffin matches so gives him a good old regular match instead. Out of respect Thantos chooses not to manage Prodigy and stays away from ringside. Dreadnaught actually gave something to think about with a good opening minute. Prodigy then took over and a cross body block won the match. Turns out Dreadnaught was lucky to lose. The reason was a lottery attack was planned and that might of killed him. Prodigy took quite the beating from Splatter until his fellow Team CPC members ran out at which point Splatter backed off. Normally I summarise injuries and any suspensions separately but instead I’ll do in this match report. Prodigy was injured 4 cards and Splatter got off with no action being taken. I would normally try and setup a revenge match or something off the back of this. However the year is nearly up and we’ve got a dimension jump coming so we’ll just let Prodigy ride out the injury and say no more about it. Spike in total command against Rankor. The ROC members are treading on egg shells around Rankor at the moment. The fear is he could turn villain anytime. Especially given the way he has reacted to the injury of Ventross. He feels his partner has held him back and now Rankor has no sympathy for the current plight. As for the rest of the ROC he has even less respect for them and has always seen them as outsiders. The way this went won’t have helped his mood much either. Totally outmatched and easily finished in just a few minutes after a second consecutive MEGADESTROYER. I don’t think even managed one offensive move. Mayhem demolished Sir Ender. Poor Sir Ender is going through it at the moment. A match against Genocide a couple weeks back and now facing another looney like Mayhem. However he is so far away in cloud cuckoo land that he still thinks he is this valiant knight that can vanquish all foes. He backs down from no challenge. As if to show his bravery he tried with the first move of the match an overhead toss and immediately buckles as he lacks the strength. Mayhem toys with him a bit after that although on two occasions he threw Sir Ender over the top rope and got a jolt. Sir Ender got himself on L3O both times by using cowardly punches into the groin each time Mayhem went to pitch him back in. He did nothing with those opportunities though and Mayhem made him pay with a devastating LEAP OF DOOM (+5) which would have finished virtually anyone off let alone Sir Ender. Some of the crowd even cheered this moment which shows how unpopular Sir Ender is. At least Mayhem doesn’t try to pretend he is something that he isn’t. First Round: THE ROCKETMEN GO OVER THE COLONIZERS OF CENTRA ‘B’ BY A 7-5 SCORELINE. Away we go with the first tournament matches and the Colonizer B team is being given little chance as they were carrying Rouser. The only tactic they might employ, along with a few other teams, is to try and have Rouser lose by DQ to minimise the points deficit. One annoyance for the Colonizers was a last minute ruling to prevent Rouser being allowed at ringside for any other matches because he is classed as a competitor for the event. Indeed he does prove to be their downfall as the Rocketmen won with a match to spare … Enigma defeated Rouser after a head butt with mask off buckle. It was one way traffic but Enigma didn’t quite max out in points because it took him a while. Had Rouser not shockingly kicked out of ENIGMA SUICIDA earlier it would have been. Nonetheless it’s a 3-0 lead … Twin Blood defeated the Betrayers after Dreggs gets Wraith with a Maxus Moonsault. It was a good effort by the Betrayers but Twin Blood are just so good. It always takes a hell of a performance to beat them. Means the match is already over and the final one is just a dead rubber … Painmaster adds respectability to the overall scoreline by beating Skinhead. He doesn’t deserve the way Mandrill treats him at all considering the excellent record he has this year. This was another win chalked up as Skinhead gave him little trouble and got beaten with a Colonizer Claw Grip. Maybe with the match already won Skinhead subconsciously had taken his foot off the gas. THE TERRORISTS ARE SAVAGE IN ALL MATCHES TO BEAT THE HITMEN BY A 6-3 MARGIN. Feud rivals thrown together straight away. I love it when a draw does that. Krakan ominously warns the Terrorists that whatever happens tonight will be the least of their worries. His final words in the pre match promo was “revenge is near”. His lust for such revenge will only of increased after this nightmarish contest eliminated the Hitmen … Vyper wiped the floor with Dark Justice. Things start badly for the Hitmen as Krakan is ejected from ringside for interfering after VYPER’S SIDESHOW and he won’t be allowed back for any of the remaining matches. Justice was hopeless. The only thing he was good at was kick outs. He managed a few of these until Vyper’s finisher was used against him for a third time to finally end it. Judges withhold max points though as Vyper just took a bit too long to win but 3-0 is a pretty handy lead … Living Dangerously wins a wild match over Society of Death. So much happening. The main highlights see Sniper come agonisingly close to pinning Splatter three times which would have been very humiliating for him. He survives that and comes back with great violence against Tough Guy. Twice smashing him with MEET ARSENAL. Would have won if not for the Terrorists doing their thing. One to distract the ref and the other to use a billy club on Splatter. They also nailed Mutant for good measure. Tough Guy then crawls over to an already heavily fatigued Splatter and slaps on his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK to steal the win. It makes it now impossible for the Terrorists to lose this match … Mike Fortune beats Draconian Sheik by DQ. The Terrorists may already have this sewn up but they refuse to allow the Hitmen to have any success. Fortune was looking strong and about to win after THE HANGMAN. They do the same job as done on Splatter only this time a whip is used to choke Fortune. Drac then throws Fortune outside the ring where the continue attacking causing the disqualification. It could have been worse but for Justice coming down the runway with his rod forcing them to back off. THE GREAT COMEBACK TAKES CARE OF GIRL POWER WITH A 7-3 WIN. Reynard B. Guile couldn’t help laughing when he learned his team would be facing Girl Power and teases even he could enter the ring against any of them and win, in fact he says he’d seriously considered getting into a wrestling suit to do it but that wouldn’t of been fair on his team. Supernova warns him not underestimate any of them, including the Hellions, and suggests Pegasus might be in for a hell of a shock “especially after the way he’s been wrestling”. As it turns out B. Guile’s do prevail as expected but it was not easy and went down to a decider … Pegasus over Supernova by DQ. Pegasus cannot wait. In his last interview before the match he said “I found her super annoying when we were teammates (lovers perhaps?) and now I get to knock her about with breaking any laws”. He gets a rude shock though as Supernova gives it a really good go and even has a pin attempt. Something Pegasus didn’t manage against her until the disqualification. Unfortunately a power disadvantage is no excuse for using weapons but Supernova got carried away by grabbing a chair. Pegasus later says “I felt sorry for her in the end and took it easy, I could’ve won that match in 10 seconds if I tried”. Poor excuses for another lame performance. At least he puts his team in the lead with his status as captain nabbing an extra point to get them 2-0 ahead … The Hellions upset Ninja Assassins. The Hellions can scrap like men and they manage to pull off a stunning victory which causes the Ninjas huge embarrassment. They heaped early pressure on Serpentine with DOUBLE EDGE SWORD twice leading Hunger to make pin saves. Only seemed like a matter of time. That was until Serpentine got the hot tag. Things got much better for the Hellions and after a few minutes Serpentine was able to come back into the match and they pin Daeman after WOMEN’S SUFFERAGE. Reynard B. Guile now looks very nervous as this now goes to a deciding match with the scores tied at 3-3 … Euritar ensures there is no shock exit by crushing Ms. Liberty in 2 moves. She tried to power slam him straight away. Euritar easily resists and simply pushes her to the ground before delivering a Euritar Elbow Slam for the pin. Timed at 8 seconds. RAMPARTS OF CENTRA KNOCK OUT HATE BY A NARROW 5-3 SCORE. Doomsayer and Mangus concoct a clever name. A kind of acronym of ‘humans are to be exterminated’ if you ignore the ‘be’ word. He warns the ROC that they may not be humanoid (apart from Max) but they are still scummy do gooders that could do with a branding … Max Shield makes a comeback to beat Nth Degree. An unexpected 5* classic. Max nearly comes a cropper as Nth Degree mauls him for several minutes with numerous pin attempts mainly from PIN USING ROPES. Max got to 5 tokens when he suddenly woke up. Once he did his own offence was devastating. Puts the same amount of tokens on Nth Degree before finishing with THE OMICRON FORCE (+4) and give the ROC a 4-2 lead … The Ramparts beat Cygnus Strikeforce by DQ. Frustration for the Ramparts that they didn’t manage a pin fall victory despite both using their finishers. Pin saves and Mangus put paid to that. They have to settle for the single point margin a DQ win always gives. This was triggered by Mangus attacking Warfare outside. I suppose it was a shrewd move by Mangus as it still keeps his team in it. Although Monad needs to max out in the last match which is pretty to tough. Match has to be almost a squash for for that to happen usually … Monad beats Tocsin by DQ. Monad tries to wear a nose plug but soon discards it due to affecting his breathing. The pungent aroma given off by Tocsin has him almost vomiting. Probably responsible for his wretched performance. Tocsin needing only 3 moves with SENTRY STUNNER. It was a calculated risk as the DQ loss it triggered still sees the ROC go through. It’s the lowest scoring match of the tournament so far. TEAM CPC DEFEATED THE NOMADS 8-3. Lance calls his team of misfits the Nomads. Kind of fits for both he and the Soulwatcher. Theatre of Pain not exactly fitting the image but Lance needed a tag team and they kind of switch between hero and villain as much as the wind changes. Thantos bragged they would be no challenge and his team would have preferred a better to team with which to warm up against … Bloodline makes the Soulwatcher submit. Was a very quick match. The Soulwatcher gives Bloodline a scare with some of his early offence. That lasted about a minute until Bloodline got a reversal in and latched on with an Indian Death Lock right away to win. Was interesting to see how the judges viewed this as it was short and sweet but the Soulwatcher showed some attacking endeavour. It would of been harsh to ignore it to and they do award him a point. Trouble was they awarded Bloodline 4 … Disorder X and Theatre of Pain slug out a double DQ. Even match until a wild brawl breaks out. Fatally Grunge accidentally strikes Mace with his guitar whilst taking a swing at Comedy. They come to blows and ending up brawling to the back. Mace on Grunge “it’s been wasted time helping him. He never trains and I’m always holding the fort. That’s why he never gets those guitar swings right. Well he’s gonna pay for that”. The only silver lining for Team CPC is they are now in a strong position to win the match overall. It’d take quite a collapse from Terminus … Terminus beats Lance At-Las. Herculean effort by Lance but he comes unstuck missing a deathjump. Terminus then humiliates Lance At-Las by pulling up his top to reveal the brand of Cygnus. Still red raw on his torso. FIGHTING TITANS SHOCK THE GLADIATORS OF AETHRA WITH A 6-3 VICTORY. It’s already been an unbelievable year for the Titans. It could get even better if they could go far in this tournament. They are up against it though with an extremely unfortunate and tough draw. Plus they’ve got Meteor in the line up. DM on commentary says “unfortunately you are only as strong as your weakest link and I don’t give them much chance”. Rumour was that he was so worried about Meteor he considered coming out of retirement to help the Titan team but after just a few days of training sustained a back injury as his ageing body waved the white flag … Thunder took a while to beat Meteor. Fair play to Meteor. He didn’t just roll over and make this easy. Hung in there for several minutes before he started flagging. Thunder then managed to finish him with THE TEMPEST. Unfortunately the early deficit is 0-3 for the Titans but it could easily of been worse … Titan Attack beat Malice and Overkill by DQ. Epic match. The Titans have the Gladiators chasing shadows initially. However then Scion gets caught and takes a beating that included TURNBUCKLE TRAP and UNSTOPPABLE FORCE which amazingly he survives. The Titans then manage to wrest back control and Ursa Major is dominating Malice. In quick succession uses TITAN VICTORY ROLL and SHOTGUN CRADLE twice. Brute eventually storms the ring and violently attacks Ursa Major with the casque after knocking Scion Nexus off the apron. An automatic disqualification is given but the Gladiators continue the attack until Lord Nexus and some security intervene. The good news is the outcome gives the Titans a fighting chance in the last match. The bad news is Ursa Major is injured for the rest of the tournament and the next 2 cards. Commissioner Morpheus is at the event and immediately shows the Gladiators he is not prepared to tolerate their actions much longer and suspends Brute there and then plus the next 4 cards … Rising Sun shocks Vengeance with a fast win. As Rising Sun trooped out DM on commentary confesses “I got butterflies in my stomach, I so hope the Titans prove me wrong”. It was a tall order but Rising Sun had the advantage of banking the bonus point as captain so long as he scored and at least Brute was now suspended. He rises to the occasion with a win in just 5 moves to max out on the points. Vengeance just couldn’t cope. He was nearly pinned even sooner than he did after a wasitlock suplex. Rising then went for SUPER DRAGON DROP and then SUNSET SPECTACULAR to win and send the Titans through. Brute had watched the whole thing from behind the curtains and looked mystified by what he’d just seen. It was a little surprising he didn’t try to break the terms of his suspension and rush the ring. It had been a really bad night for the Gladiators. FDF SEND COLONIZERS OF CENTRA ‘A’ CRASHING WITH A BIG 9-3 WIN. Tie of the opening round. Two potential winners but one team is set to exit early. Commando Sam implores the fans to get behind his team as they face the most unpopular team in the fed. They still get a lukewarm response on each ring announcement. The fans just cannot buy into Sam’s over the top attitude. Although the noise does go up a few decibels for each of the Colonizer team as they show their hostility. Only laying off for Murdok who seems to command an eerie silence everytime he appears … Archon crushed Murdok. Total domination by Archon. He broke the long silence by shouting “to hell with it” and just piling into Murdok. He didn’t have much resistance. Murdok seemed almost in a trance as Archon unloaded with everything he had. All his finishers. Murdok didn’t seem to feel much pain and just kept getting up or staying in the holds. Eventually an ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION won it. Murdok tapped out and without showing any emotion walked out the ring as if nothing had happened. He still created fear and even Commando Sam quickly got out of his way. All very strange … Rebel Empire downed Desolation Factor. This was typical Desolation Factor. Looked very strong having made an explosive start only to lose concentration and get caught out. They’d pretty much knocked Nefarus all over the ring from the opening bell. Subjected him to RACKED AND RUINED which he’d done well to muster a kick out on. Then made the mistake of throwing him out of the ring where upon Nefarus managed to get hold of some kind of undetected object to use on the oncoming Rack and swing the tide. Vendetta then got tagged in and pinned Rack following THE BIG FALL. The FDF could of put this match out of sight. Now it was delicately poised at 4-3 to them … Code Enforcer blew Mandrill away. Any fears that the FDF might of let the Colonizers off the hook are dispelled as the Code Enforcer reminds us how devastating he can be. Barely gave Mandrill a chance to breathe and finished him fast via a throat slam suplex. Mandrill looked shocked by what had happened to his team. It was a mighty impressive effort from the FDF. Still a long way to go but that’s one tough hurdle negotiated BRYMSTONE BURNING EDGED THE CENTAURIANS 5-3. Another great draw as feud rivals are pitched against each other. Wolf expressed disappointment though that the way the pairings came out he wouldn’t get to face Genocide again. Instead he got Grovel who is a bit of a bogey opponent. But don’t despair as I am booking them to face off later in the month … Wolf gets his team off to a flying start as he beats Grovel. Wolf did find Grovel problematic despite dishing out a couple of unpopular chair shots. In the end Grovel’s clumsy attempt at a turnbuckle charge proved its undoing as Wolf sidestepped it … Unspeakable Horror defeated Cutting Edge by DQ. Seesaw stuff. Amazonia held her own for sure and actually came within a whisker of pinning Anarchy after an Amazon Attack early on. The close call woke Unspeakable Horror up and Blazing Skull put Amazonia in a precarious position after BURNING TOUCH and DEATH BY FIRE (in its mildest form). Amazonia needed outside intervention to stay in it. Blade had to pick up the baton whilst she recovered and almost dropped it when he missed BLADE OF RETRIBUTION. Despite this he coped well on his own until Amazonia was ready to get involved again. Trouble is she came back too aggressively and smashed Blazing Skull with THE WARRIOR’S SHIELD to get herself disqualified. An outcome that could be ill afforded as the Centaurians trail 5-1 and look all but out if it now … Genocide over Tortured Soul by DQ. This was always on a knife edge for the Centaurians because Maleph knew a DQ loss would see the Brymstonians through. Genocide had to hit Tortured Soul fast and get him pinned very quickly. Which he couldn’t do. Tortured Soul offered frustrating resistance and managed to get Genocide out of the ring. Once Genocide was outside Maleph needed no second invitation to attack him and force the outcome. Genocide rages on realisation. He turns over a few tables and then flattens Tortured Soul with a clothesline before tearing off down the runway. Hope nobody was standing behind or near that curtain when he come through. Lorelei wasn’t far behjnd. Obviously not wanting to be left out there alone. Second Round: THE ROCKETMEN DO THE BUSINESS AGAINST THE TERRORISTS TO WIN 5-1. Neither team had been tipped as eventual winners of the tournament but their first rounds were impressive enough to grab plenty of attention. Plus shocks do happen. The Rocketmen has won it before with a far weaker team than this way back in 2103 when I seem to recall Brainstorm pulling off some shocks and being the MVP. Unless my memory is playing tricks. There might just be another fairytale story building as the Rocketmen make it into the semis … Vyper defeated Skinhead by DQ. Decent match. Skinhead starts well and it’s not long before he has slugged Vyper with BRASS NUCKS. Doesn’t get a chance to try for the pin though as the Terrorists do their thing and Skinhead is smashed with a billy club. After that Skinhead spends the rest of the match hanging on with a little help from his manager especially after VYPER’S SIDESHOW. The way it was going a DQ to either combatant seemed inevitable. It was Skinhead who fell foul as he ended too close to the Terrorists outside the ring. Fearing another attack he decided to strike first and used his flesh coloured knuckles against them. It don’t matter if the ref saw the knuckles or not. He just saw it as unprovoked attack and instantly disqualified him … Enigma over Draconian Sheik by DQ. Despite the outcomes this tie produces another very watchable match. Enigma was in good shape and thrilling fans with his Feet of Fury several times. Drac had moments too with his finisher being used along with Terrorist assisted attacks. Things come to a head as Enigma takes the thrills up a notch with ENIGMA SUICIDA and connects. The Terrorists spark into action again only this time their attack with the billy club doesn’t escape the attention of the referee. They think about continue with the attack until they realise Drac has run off after a light at the end of the runway catches his attention. Even they know Drac alone and on the loose equals trouble. We had into the final match with a meagre 1-1 scoreline … Twin Blood blew away Living Dangerously. Sniper was out of her depth among the men in this one. Twin Blood never let up on her and finished the match with TWICE BITTEN to send the Rocketmen through.
THE GREAT COMEBACK ELIMINATED RAMPARTS OF CENTRA 7-4. He’ll never admit it but Reynard B. Guile knows this great comeback of his has been pretty disastrous. He is desperate to rescue something from the year by winning this tournament. On paper his team is good enough and they manage to pass this test and deal with the home crowd so maybe it could happen … Pegasus looks a bit more like his old self in beating Tocsin. A strong start for the Great Comeback team. Tocsin thought he could take advantage of Pegasus being low on confidence. Having the audacity to try HAZARDOUS WASTE in only the second move of the match. Pegasus brushes it off and dominates for a few minutes before PROJECT PEGASUS polishes it off. Judges have it a scored at 3-1 plus Pegasus gains the extra bonus point for being the team captain … Max Shield beats Euritar by DQ. Two of the feds biggest underperforming talents let loose on each other. It was a disappointing spectacle with very little to speak of. Ultimately Euritar bumps Max into a ring post which yields a disqualification. Keeps the Great Comeback narrowly ahead at 4-3 going into the final contest … Ninja Assassins back on song against the Ramparts. Could the Ninjas bounce back from the humiliation of losing to the Hellions? They might be thankful for their masks covering up those red faces. The Ramparts end up copping their revenge. In an action packed match they manage to pin Corporal Aegis after DOUBLE EDGE SWORD. Aegis had got away with being on the end of it a bit earlier after Warfare showed the Ramparts can get dirty with a pin save that turned the match around and ended with Aegis using CORPORAL PUNISHMENT (unsuccessfully) on Hydrax. The Ninjas managed to wrest back control though and put the Great Comeback through. The crowd is in stunned silence. The absence of the Ravagers was really felt in this one.
TEAM CPC NARROWLY BEAT THE FIGHTING TITANS 8-7. Thantos in the pre match interview was admittedly surprised his team were facing the Titans instead of the Gladiators. He then started laughing as realisation set in “with Meteor and a crocked tag team they should do themselves a favour and forfeit the match”. Even Mace and Grunge, who had brawled with each other earlier, were now laughing. Lord Nexus recognises the Titans, who have never won or made the final of this event, are big underdogs but says in response “Thantos would do well not to underestimate us. Nobody thought Rising Sun could win ONLY THE BEST and look what happened”. Ultimately it’s Team CPC who prevail though. The Titans gave a great effort and come up just short … Terminus pinned Meteor. Not as easy as Terminus thought it would be. Meteor gives plenty of resistance and even had some decent offence at times. Eventually Terminus managed to counter a headlock takedown and hit with his HAMMERLOCK SLAM to get it over with. Terminus gives Team CPC a 4-1 lead. Whatever happens Meteor has played his part. The Titans had expected to be further behind and they believe Meteor has given them a chance … Bloodline wins a thriller over Rising Sun. Was a magnificent wrestling match. Both taking turns to demonstrate their technical prowess. Failed finishers all over the place to heighten the suspense. It was cruel on Rising Sun the way it ended. He was getting close to the win the Titans desperately needed when Bloodline got out the way of his attempt to follow up a throw into the turnbuckle with a clothesline. On falling back onto the mat Rising Sun then received BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG for the third time in the match. It wasn’t the cleanest connection at +1. Sadly Rising’s fatigue meant he couldn’t muster the kick out. Bloodline raises his arms and then gives the judges a two fingered salute for scoring this only 3-2 in his favour. It meant Rising had actually scored the same as him due to being captain and getting the bonus point. Team CPC leads 7-4 but despite two wins out of two they haven’t got this completely sewn up. Titan Attack still can salvage this but will need to squash Disorder X in the last match … Titan Attack defeated Disorder X. Despite Ursa Major’s injury Titan Attack gives it everything to try and do the impossible. Taking immediate risks. It’s almost the reason they lose as Scion comes close to doing so against Mace via MACE’S LITTLE HELPER and also DECIMATION. However they are such a great team that they still find a way to win with the injured Ursa Major nicking a pin against Mace after being thrown into the turnbuckle but countering with a skull-splitting running lariat. Sadly it’s not enough to win and the Titans are eliminated.
FDF WIN BIG AGAIN AS THEY SEE OFF BRYMSTONE BURNING 11-5. Commando Sam can’t get the balance right as he pretty much ridicules the efforts of some of the other hero teams before this match commences by saying “finally the FDF showed everyone it is possible to stand up against the Colonizers and beat them. I can only apologise to all the fans for not engaging them more directly throughout the last couple of years. Fear not. By now taking care of the Brymstonians and winning TEAM SUPREME once again we will show that good triumphs over evil. For those on Centra who don’t know we did the same thing in 2108 when all the hero teams weren’t up to it so it’s nothing new to us”. At least he delivers on his promises so far as the team wins by a large margin again. Although there’s a twist as you’ll see from continuing to read … Code Enforcer wins a tough match over Tortured Soul. Only just. The Code Enforcer was walking a real tightrope with the ref with all his brawling. He then suffers a torrid period where Tortured Soul just kept on stuffing the disgusting ROTTING CLAW down his throat and barely held on. Eventually he managed to get Tortured Soul pinned after a throat slam suplex to give the FDF a 4-2 lead. Trouble is he then suffered a brutal lottery attack from Splatter which Commando Sam was unable to stop. What made it worse was Maleph and Tortured Soul joining in. By the time the other FDF members got there the damage was done. It was such a bad injury roll of 10 I decided it means he is knocked out the remainder of the tournament. Not even going to try and adjust the stats. Unclear what will happen to his spot should the FDF progress. For what it’s worth Splatter got off so lightly with a mere 1 card suspension. The looming trip back to Dimension K meant Commissioner Morpheus couldn’t give much attention to it. Naturally Sam was furious. Rumours quickly start going round that Sam himself may wrestle if needed. There’s not really anyone else who can step in. Virtually everyone is ‘cup tied’. It could be the first ever usage of the coming out of retirement chart. Guess the dice will decide … Archon makes Wolf submit. Almost seems improbable that Wolf would submit but it happens as Archon beats him with ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION. What’s more it only took 6 moves so we can class this as a squash. Wolf made a horrible start by colliding with the turnbuckle and Archon wastes no time capitalising. He really has the measure of Wolf it seems as it’s not the first time he has beaten him this year. As a result the FDF rocket into an unassailable 8-2 lead which now puts them on a collision course with Team CPC in the next round. Fans are getting excited because it might mean that Commando Sam will step into the ring. Some are even egging Thantos on to come out of retirement too and face Sam. He is actually allowed to make a line up change if he so desires … Desolation Factor beat Unspeakable Horror. Fans were getting restless as this long dead rubber of a match descends into a stalemate. They were hoping for a time saving intervention. Suddenly as the time limit is within just a few moves of approaching things go a bit crazy. Blazing Skull flamed Rack with DEATH BY FIRE but got viciously attacked by Ruin before he could get the pin. In a sudden turnaround he was hit with RACKED AND RUINED and amid the carnage that ensued the ref saw him Blazing being pinned and counted it. It gives the FDF a sweep of decisive victories and the largest winning margin of the whole event so far.
Third Round: THE GREAT COMEBACK WINS ON A TIE BREAK AGAINST THE ROCKETMEN AFTER IT ENDED 7-7. Getting to the business end of the tournament now. Reynard B. Guile and Johnny Rocket have had plenty of run ins in years gone by and they carry it on by engaging in copious amounts of trash talk throughout all three matches. Reynard was mainly teasing about how ugly Nora Pelf is and how she used to smell when he was working for her. Johnny is used to defending his woman’s honour as shown by his reaction to Rouser in recent weeks. The crowd cheers as he pushes Reynard over before the first bout and tells him “better sleep with one eye open as I heard Amazonia is out to get you. Something about a sword and a castration”. That was what really kicked it all off between them and they just didn’t stop with the crossfire of insults after that. It’s the Great Comeback though that ends with the bragging rights. It couldn’t of been closer though. Reynard’s team has been awful this year with Pegasus chiefly to blame. However they are now getting tantalisingly close to winning this thing which would be a major feather in the cap … Ninja Assassins beat Twin Blood in a thrilling battle. Fantastic stuff as two brilliant tag teams just go at each other. It was a long match which almost reached the time limit. Unlike some other long matches this never felt like a chore and nobody wanted it to end. There are failed finishers all over the place plus lots of interfering from the two warring managers. Plus fatigue tokens aplenty. With time almost up and a drawn match seeming a fair result the Ninjas gave one last big push and got rewarded. There was no saving Dreggs as he was on the end of DOUBLE EDGE SWORD yet again. It’s so rare that Twin Blood loses that everyone was genuinely shocked. Obviously this was high scoring from the judges and means Reynard’s team leads 4-3 … Euritar defeated Skinhead. Fast pace of match as you’d come to expect from these two. Euritar just about deserves his win after a springboard moonsault. He’d twice earlier come close to pins after HEADS WILL ROLL. Euritar is a lucky boy as the dreaded lottery roll came up but I figured Splatter had already been thrown out the venue and suspended so I spared him. The outcome puts the Great Comeback in a really strong position as they lead 7-4. Enigma will need to beat very dominant over Pegasus in the last match to turn it around … Enigma hands Pegasus a loss. Enigma keeps his side of the bargain up by winning. Comes after a cross body block. It’s a tense wait as the judges deliberate the match. It was quite dominant but maybe not enough. Eventually the scores show up on the huge screen. It’s heartbreak for the Rocketmen. Enigma outscored Pegasus 3-0. Which means the overall match finished tied by 7-7. The tie break would be which team won the most matches and in that respect the Great Comeback was 2-1 ahead.
TEAM CPC MAXED OUT TO BEAT FDF 13-3. This is incredible as Commando Sam comes out of retirement to replace the injured Code Enforcer and instead of facing Terminus as expected it’ll be Thantos. Commissioner Morpheus hinted strongly that it would be a good idea and despite initial scepticism Thantos just couldn’t resist. It could backfire as Terminus would surely of beat Sam with ease. Thantos arrogantly assures Terminus “let me deal with this crazy old man, you’ll be back in place for the final”. Both he and Sam would assume the role of captains. They are also forbidden from being at ringside in the preceding matches … Disorder X squashed Desolation Factor. Nobody expected this. Desolation Factor wrestled like their hearts weren’t in it. Ruin got done by Total Disorder and then Mace immediately initiated DECIMATION for an easy win. Team CPC already 4-0 up. Lots of pressure on Archon in the next match … Bloodline wins an unbelievable match over Archon. This is what it’s all about. 13 fatigue tokens shared in all. Archon came flying out the blocks and threatens to run away with it as he gets onto his submission finishers. However Bloodline breaks the cycle and fights back hard. He applied CETUS MASTERLOCK seven times but Archon won’t give in. Archon then uses THE RIOT ACT as part of a comeback and is frustrated that Bloodline has a similar will to hang on. Unfortunately Archon then starts to wilt. He manages to survive one more stint in the CETUS MASTERLOCK although that seemed to more or less finish him. He could barely move and was a sitting duck for an Avenger Cannon which finally ended it. Judges all agree it was a classic and give Bloodline 4 points to Archon’s 3. It means the final dream match between Sam and Thantos is a dead rubber as Team CPC has already won … Thantos beats Commando Sam in a 2 move squash. So to the moment everyone was waiting for. DM on commentary excitedly shouts “I never in my wildest dreams thought we’d be seeing something like this, this would be great even if they fought in wheelchairs”. It didn’t matter that it would have no bearing on the overall outcome. Sam was really getting his knickers in a twist over why the fans dared to cheer Thantos. He was too busy shouting at them over their lack of loyalty that he turned his back. Thantos shows he still has that evil cunning as he comes up behind and takes Sam down with a backroll press before applying a Gamemaster Grip. Sam couldn’t endure it long and submitted quickly. Bit of an anticlimax as this can’t of lasted even 30 seconds. It means Team CPC romped this match as they max out on points and win 13-3.
Final: THE GREAT COMEBACK ARE SURPRISE WINNERS OF THE ENTIRE EVENT BY BEATING TEAM CPC 6-4. At long last we reach the final after this marathon of a tournament. There have been many winners of TEAM SUPREME but with the size of the competition this will be considered as the greatest achievement of them all. DM on commentary says “it’s hard to define which team is the greatest in history, so many good ones and so many factors to consider. However whoever wins here will always be among the discussions of who was greatest team. This is a phenomenal thing to win”. This followed hot on the heels of the last round matches so a few of the wrestlers were desperately trying to get some energy back into their veins … Euritar ends the hot run of Bloodline. Goodness me. Bloodline could and should have sewn up this match and the MVP award but twice he missed BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG. Cannot give someone of Euritar’s talent level second chances. Euritar was able to take advantage and wins with a flying body press. Judges put the Great Comeback into a 3-1 lead. Euritar goaded Bloodline for losing and says he bottled it … Disorder X get the better of Ninja Assassins. Disorder X may be on the verge of splitting up but they’ve really found their form again in the last couple matches. They manage to overcome the Ninjas after DECIMATION on Hydrax. Makes for a perfect final match. The two team captains set to face each other in and the scores are dead level at 4-4. Fingers crossed we don’t get another situation like last year which could happen if the last match ends in a double DQ or goes to the time limit … Pegasus grinds out a win over Terminus by DQ. Pegasus has been bragging all year long that he is still the GOAT despite repeated poor results. He hasn’t been all that great in this event either. Here was his chance to at least end it on a high by securing an unlikely team victory for the underperforming Great Comeback team. For such an important match its disappointingly short with an unsatisfying DQ outcome. Terminus threw Pegasus out of the ring. It played into Pegasus’s hands. The ref was partially unsighted as Pegasus then threw himself into the announcer’s table on the slightest contact. Actually injured an official who couldn’t get out of the way. Reynard squeals at the ref who calls the DQ. Totally conned. Thantos had a face like thunder but couldn’t be bothered to argue it. He was never going to be able to change the decision. Reynard leaps about annoyingly celebrating the win. Pegasus is the one who accepts the trophy on behalf of the team and arrogantly says into the floating mic “it’s been a long weekend but to be standing here holding this makes it so worth it. I have proved with this decisive victory that I am still the greatest. When we hopefully return to Dimension K to a properly run fed I will be treated with fairness and respect. Pegasus will be the Heavyweight champion again”. That didn’t exactly get the crowd on side and many of them mock the entire team as they leave.
WINNING TEAM - The Great Comeback MVP - Euritar
