CARD 1198 – RUINS OF ANTILIA: Heavyweight champ, Thunder, lost to Genocide by DQ. Thunder is not happy Commissioner Morpheus has forced this title defence upon him and then at the FINAL EXPLOSION send off he has another one against Paragon. Of course that depends on whether he succeeds tonight. Brute may of been suspended but for sure the Gladiator plan would be another gang attack or to try and lure Genocide into getting himself disqualified which is something he is very likely to do. Genocide rampaged into the ring as usual. Such a high energy entrance that he might of gassed himself out. Thunder wisely vacates the ring and lets Genocide do his thing. Lorelei implores Genocide to calm down but gets ignored. Thunder watches for a while until he gets distracted by some heckling from the fans. As soon as he turns to trash talk with them Genocide reaches through the ropes and grabs him by the hair to drag him into the ring. Thunder didn’t like that and tried to fight back. He copes for a few minutes until Genocide eventually overwhelms him. A berserk pounding assault sets up CORPUS GENOCIDE which almost missed. The Gladiators had been watching all this unfold and were already on their way to ringside before the finisher had even hit the mark. Vengeance, Spike and Mayhem circle the ring. Lorelei is powerless against them and thrown several feet down the runway to get her out the way. Genocide comes out to confront them and is immediately attacked. It’s even too much even for him and he goes down under the bombardment. The Gladiators stop short of causing an injury. They just wanted to beat him enough to keep the belt on Thunder. It means the upcoming match between Thunder and Paragon will be a title match. What’s more it’ll be Lepus Stun Rod match and that should prevent outside interference unless the Gladiators find a way to interfere. With this outcome it has moved Thunder into the top 10 longest Heavyweight belt reigns as by the time he faces Paragon he will of reached an impressive 30 cards as the champion. He will also match Spike’s mark that was reached back in 2090-2091. Wonder how the legendary Spike feels about the fact he could soon be passed as the longest reigning Gladiator in history? Might of regretted helping Thunder out tonight. Ladies champ, Anaxis, comfortably defeated Taechon. Anaxis building a decent run as champion. When she beat Thrash nobody expected her to hold it long. Especially with Supernova, Amazonia, Thrash and Sniper lurking and all hungry for the belt (which isn’t always the case). However so far she has held firm and reminded what a good wrestler she is. Taechon was not expected to trouble her. They’ve already met this month and Anaxis smashed her bowl over Taechon’s head. This explained the head bandage Taechon was wearing. It didn’t take long for this to come off and be used as a choking weapon. Anaxis easily snuffed out Taechon’s enthusiasm and needed just a few minutes to pin her after CALL OF THE SIREN. Blazing Skull rapidly disposes of Blade. Reacting to criticisms that Lorelei smothers Blade too much and is way too protective she does NOT come out to ringside with him. A bold move. Could Blade repay that faith by delivering a win over long-time enemy Blazing Skull? It was extremely dangerous what with Blazing pledging to up the explosive force of DEATH BY FIRE against all opponents in this likely final month on Centra. Mercifully for Blade the match didn’t go long enough to pose such a risk. Blade was really lethargic and Blazing looked surprised as anybody when having given Blade a taster of what might come via BURNING TOUCH he then inflicted a bite to the head and got the pin that way. As Blade rolled out the ring well beaten Blazing taunts “can’t cope without your mummy, bet you’re still breastfeeding”. Murdok takes plenty of time to beat Grovel. Antilia versus Primus. Seemed a cool match to book. Nobody expecting Grovel to achieve much as it is led out by Lorelei. However it has managed some significant wins so you never know (definitely has beaten Wolf, maybe even twice - cannot quite remember). Murdok shows no change of confidence despite recent losses against Genocide and Archon. Standing like a ruler and looking at anyone around him like they are peasants. Even through those vacant eyes. He does manage to win as expected but it took a long time and was not comfortable. If Grovel had a proper finisher it could master it might well of won. Instead Murdok kept getting opportunities to comeback and eventually got it together to use a Head Spear Takedown for victory. Ninja Assassins chop down Team With No Name. Top contender match. The Ninja Assassins cop all sorts jokes about their recent shock loss to the Hellions. Reynard B. Guile ignores all this and brags how it didn’t matter as the Great Comeback won TEAM SUPREME to prove he is the best manager and now he would mastermind winning the tag belts. To facilitate this he tries to bribe the Jesters to walk away and forfeit. He offers them a lifetime supply of ketchup. The original Jester takes the symbolic bottle that B. Guile offers up. The two Jesters look like they are then leaving the ring only to suddenly swivel with one of them taking B. Guile down with a leg sweep. His top hat goes loose so the cloned Jester squirts almost the entire bottle into it and the sticks it back on his head. All very amusing although their fun and games now get broken up by an assault from the Ninjas. It took a while for the Jesters to get a foothold and even then they didn’t really get into L3O. Whilst the Ninjas always looked dangerous. It wasn’t surprising when they prevailed after DOUBLE EDGED SWORD on the cloned Jester. Despite the win B. Guile was dying with embarrassment and complains to the ref over his treatment but even the ref laughs. He just cannot take B. Guile seriously as the ketchup drips down his face and suit lepels. Then there is even more laughter as B. Guile slips on a pool of it on the floor. I suppose if anyone had tuned it just at that moment it would have looked like a bloodbath rather than realise it was ketchup all over the place. Only B. Guile could come out with winning TEAM SUPREME and now securing a tag title shot looking like a bigger nincompoop than before. Maxine Babe beats Nora Pelf again. Nora vows not to make the same mistake against Maxine this time. She even lays out Maxine’s cheerleading friend with her own loaded pompom to render her finisher useless. Thankfully there is no repeat of that 10 second loss but Nora still doesn’t win. She used her finisher RAGS TO RICHES twice only to see Maxine show surprising endurance to kick out. Then out of nowhere Maxine came back and caught Nora with a dropkick which seemed to cause more damage than it would normally have done. Maxine had put on stiletto heels to increase its potency and the ref just let her do it. As if he had a crush on Maxine. Maxine pins Nora and proclaims this feud over as she had now proved she isn’t just better looking but also a better wrestler.

CARD 1199 – TERRONAUT TOWERS: TRISIS SHOWCASE WITH LANCE AT-LAS … The show has kept a low profile in recent months but with the likelihood of the GWFC returning to Dimension K it is staged again. Possibly for the last time. Trisis managed to snag Lance At-Las as her guest. Outside of Corporal Aegis he’s probably the most popular man on Centra. He may even of surpassed him. Gets a massive pop as he speaks of his love of Centra and its people. He feels so at home and confirms his intention to stay no matter what happens with the GWFC. His goal will be to establish a new wrestling federation in its place and he hopes some of the current roster might stay with him. However he will also be giving new talent plenty of opportunity to join and put themselves in the spotlight. Obviously he needs a fair amount of financial backing which shouldn’t be a problem given how wrestling has risen in popularity to become the number one form of entertainment and sport. Several large corporations have already pledged their support. Lance ends by pointing to Trisis and saying “I hope you’ll stay too. You have done a great job of putting over wresting here even though you knew nothing about it at first. You are one of the chief reasons why the GWFC succeeded”. Trisis says nothing but gives an appreciative smile. Lance doesn’t put any additional pressure. He knows her heart lies elsewhere. At this point Lance leaves. Everyone is on their feet cheering inside this small venue. Tag champs, Titan Attack, in dazzling form yet again as they see off the Ninja Assassins. The Titans would love nothing more than to return Dimension K as tag team champions and bring joy to their great people who they have missed greatly. Between Titan Attack and Rising Sun they will have some great stories to tell what with Rising Sun also briefly holding the Heavyweight belt and winning OTB. Keeping everything crossed they wouldn’t stumble here. DM on commentary isn’t the most impartial of guys when the Titans are wrestling. He’s pretty excited that Titan Attack might be leaving Centra as the top tag team. The only worry is the minor injury Ursa Major is carrying courtesy of the Gladiators. Lord Nexus nervously watched on. Worrying the injury might get targeted or Reynard B. Guile might do something dastardly. When B. Guile gets too close the fans urge Lord Nexus to give him a Titan Drop. Tempting as it is Lord Nexus is too noble for that. Instead choosing to fire his team up with words of encouragement. These have the desired effect as Titan Attack deliver another superb performance. The Ninjas don’t really get a look in. Scion does most of the work due to Ursa Major’s injury and almost pinned Daeman after THE RISE AND FALL. He then tags out and Ursa Major builds on Scion’s work by coming in to finish Daeman with his SHOTGUN CRADLE. It was a big relief as B. Guile would have been insufferable had he manage to snag the tag belts on top of recent success. Rouser squashed Johnny Rocket in a Cosmic Cage match 😢. One of the oddest main events you’ll likely to see (this wasn’t on last but got top billing on the promotional posters). The fans have loved this offbeat feud though. Johnny was like a dog with a bone, just wouldn’t let it go and now he’s got Rouser into the cage. Unfortunately nobody stopped Rouser bringing his sign in. Johnny should have hidden his mic inside his singlet to balance this out. However if Nora Pelf could beat this irritant in one move then surely Johnny could beat him too. Sign or no sign. Trouble is Nora actually wrestles and keeps herself in condition. Johnny does not. It’s very clear he is not as strong or quick as Rouser. Out of his depth even against him. Rouser didn’t even need any help with his sign. After just a couple minutes he picks Johnny up and clumsily delivers a Protest Piledriver. He then spits on Johnny, casually picks up his sign which has a message about Nora that is too rude to print here and exits the cage out the door. A real shame how this turned out. Later Johnny quietly decides enough is enough. Time to move on. Bloodline gets the better of Paragon in a non-title match. Fans have been craving a rematch between these two. Paragon has been very involved in his pursuit of the Heavyweight belt and feud with Thunder but this rivalry hasn’t gone away. Last time they fought an epic double DQ which set this up nicely. This time it would be nice to have an outright winner. The good thing was Paragon seemed to be fit as a fiddle. Moving freely and looking confident and strong. Bloodline made sure to give Paragon a real good look at his Centra belt on entering the ring. Paragon scoffs and calls it a second rate title which is a little bit disrespectful but he only has eyes for the big one. He has to do without Johnny Rocket who was busy trying to fit himself into his wrestling gear for the next match up. It actually means we get a good flowing match as Thantos doesn’t feel need to intervene much. Preferring to see how Bloodline can cope. Bloodline comes through with flying colours. It was another very watchable contest between them overall. Bloodline mostly had the edge. Maybe due to Paragon’s ring rust. He got the CETUS MASTERLOCK on a few times. Then almost blew it like he did in the TEAM SUPREME final by missing BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG. Took a while to recover from this. However he repels Paragon’s offence and shows no fear of trying the risky move again. This time it hits the mark and at +3 it’s pretty meaty. Paragon almost kicked out but it was just too late. Paragon didn’t really care that he lost though. In his mind this was all prep for his important meeting with Thunder next week. Draconian Sheik over Dark Justice by DQ. Krakan’s absence from ringside soon gets explained as he shows his marksman skills and shoots both Terrorists with a stun gun from a hidden position near the ceiling. He tried to also hit Drac but missed because he didn’t want to take out his own man, Justice. Both Montrol and Ghengis Khan were hospitalised and Krakan was quickly apprehended. More on this in the news section. The match went ahead though whilst the drama of treating the Terrorists carried on outside. Justice mostly on top. Drac is maybe aware something is really wrong and not as wild and unpredictable as usual. Justice tries a couple of times to finish off with SHOCK PROBATION only to get annoyed at how it was no sold. Resorts to ROD OF JUSTICE and gets disqualified. Then tries to make this night worse for the Terrorists by continuing beat Drac with the rod. His attack was broken off by Vyper rushing into the ring triggering a brawl which didn’t help the medics who were still working on the Terrorists. All very unpleasant. Maelstrom exterminates the Soulwatcher. The Soulwatcher seems to have made enemies of Cygnus Strikeforce by sticking his nose into their business last month. It also doesn’t help that he has Earth origins. Ms. Liberty bravely shows up with her previously blistered arm still showing the fading Cygnus brand. Mangus warns “you will both be branded tonight and while the scars will eventually fade the mental ones will not”. It is a great source of frustration to Mangus that he hasn’t managed to brand this guy. Other victims have been Lance At-Las and of course Ms. Liberty. However he wants the Soulwatcher marked. Malestrom showed they meant business with his finisher after just 2 moves. The Soulwatcher avoided an embarrassingly quick loss and rode out the early storm to build some good offence of his own. He managed to use his own finisher THE REVELATION twice in all. Sadly there was no upset as Maelstrom got going on a second big offensive wave which culminated with ANNIHILATOR EDGE. Mangus entered the ring straight away to prep for the branding process except the heating element didn’t appear to be working. Maelstrom held only the Soulwatcher for about a minute until he recovered his strength and managed to slip away. Max Shield beat Tough Guy after a long unexciting battle. In what is rumoured to be Tough Guy’s last match as his time with the Terrorists team is nearly up. Has milked them for all he can but end of the day he’s been as disconnected with them as he was when one of the Hitmen. Plus his relationship with Sniper hasn’t flourished. Max should really off beaten him easily. Except he takes an age to get it done via Genesis Rocket Launcher. In fact he came dangerously close to losing after being trapped in Tough Guy’s FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK twice. It’s just a baffler with Max. Just unable to consistently show what he is capable of.

CARD 1200 – FINAL EXPLOSION – CENTRA PALLADIUM: This is it. The last GWFC card to take place on Centra as news filters through that the wrestling ban on Dimension K has been officially overturned. A return trip is imminent. It’s a pretty stacked show to send things off and there are TWO major title changes. Paragon dominates Thunder in a Lepus Stun Rod match to claim the Heavyweight belt. Is this the blow off to a great unexpected feud? The Stun Rod has been added to make it more exciting and try to keep the interfering Gladiators out. Thunder disrespectfully throws down his belt and enters the ring before eyeing up the rod. He gives it a disappointed look as if to say ‘I wish that was an even more dangerous weapon’. If and when he receives a shock from that thing his opinion will surely change. After the early grappling Paragon was the first to get a chance with the rod. I wonder if the juice got turned up even more than normal as Thunder went several feet up in the air on contact. Then never really got a look in. On the rare occasions Thunder did get hold of the rod Paragon managed to either counter or get it off him. There was no way Thunder was going to get away with giving Paragon so much time on L3O. Although an earlier attempt had failed Paragon manages to use FINAL OVERTURE. Thunder was already carrying several fatigue tokens and needed an unfeasibly high roll to survive. There was also no saving him by the other Gladiators as outside attacks were prevented. A big wall of the security was put up at the end of the runway. Paragon is able to win the Heavyweight belt and end Thunder’s march towards the longest Gladiator reign in history. Something tells me that wasn’t the blow off though and the Gladiators will be going all out back in Dimension K to get revenge against Paragon. Archon show’s his mental toughness to beat Bloodline and win the Centra belt in a Nightmare Matrix match. Archon’s push for the Centra belt could be ignored no longer. His complaining may not of been appreciated but any guy that can dominate a feud with a legend like Pegasus and then also easily beat Murdok has to be taken notice of. He’d have to be really switched on though because Bloodline is looking like he could be a really decent champion. There have been some duff ones in the lineage (including when it was the Interplanetary title). Plus Bloodline only recently beat Archon at TEAM SUPREME. If this match was to be even half as good as that one it would be a classic. Just days before it was turned into a Nightmare Matrix match. Bloodline boldly agreed despite Archon’s incredible unbeaten record in them. It was actually his idea. He soon realises it might be a mistake as he deals not only with Archon’s dangerous submission style offence but also the images the matrix can cast. A spider 🕷️ infestation cause the most trauma. Archon doesn’t have an easy ride either but he deals with things much better. Always looking the more likely winner and managing to come out on top as Bloodline gives in to an abdominal stretch. It meant Archon ends his stay in this dimension as the Centra champion. He’s had a strong year and despite his extreme moralistic style deserves his first ever singles title. I wonder if Bloodline might set his sights on the Heavyweight belt next year rather than try to win this back. Especially if Paragon ends up holding it. Bloodline knows he can beat him. Mandrill and Murdok defeated Max Shield and Rankor in a Turnbuckle Shock match. Max steps in for Ventross. Rankor looks pissed off. Still blaming Ventross for getting himself injured and stopping their path to a tag title shot and also knocking him off the main TEAM SUPREME show and relegated to one of the filler matches. It didn’t bode well that he wasn’t speaking to Max as they really needed to be working together to stand any chance here. Not that their opponents seemed to be working together any better. Mandrill was trying to call the shots but Murdok was indifferent to him. Despite the differences there were was quite a bit of tagging in and out. It was very satisfying to see those turnbuckles fizz and pop everytime they were impacted. Overall it was quite even until Mandrill managed to snag a pin against Rankor after COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Rankor later criticised Max for not even attempting a pin save “Ventross would have had my back”.
Vyper downed Splatter in a Milky Way Falls Count Anywhere match. A chance for Vyper to claim victory in this feud if he can beat Splatter again. Their last major meeting was at GALACTICON when Vyper won a Circinus Cell match. He also beat Splatter by DQ in an OTB qualifier. The heat was already high and has only been turned up higher after the shocking events involving the Terrorists on the last card. It’s clear that Vyper has aged the better of the two. Splatter is a little bit older and has put his body through much more abuse over the years. He struggled to do much damage to Vyper. As they grappled near the railings Vyper launches him into a seating area with a reverse suplex. Luckily the fans scattered just in time. Vyper then jumps over and pins Splatter on the spot. Wolf goes over Genocide by DQ in a predictably wild encounter. The frenemies meet again. Outside of Mayhem it is probably Genocide who is Wolf’s favourite opponent to wrestle. They have a healthy respect for each other and Wolf is looking more and more like his time with the Brymstonians could be up. His behaviour has gotten better although the heelish tactics that were commonplace a few months ago are still in evidence occasionally. Both have a tendency to jump curtain calls due to their wild characters. Here was no exception. Only this time they both ran into the tunnel before the curtain at the same time. They burst through the curtain and onto the runway already grappling. Wild start. Lorelei was at ringside trying to assist Genocide but she was knocked over by him during the initial melee. She just looked out of her depth amid all that testosterone in that ring and trying to help Grovel earlier probably left her both physically and mentally exhausted. On this occasion it’s Wolf that comes out on top. After a few minutes frantic battling Genocide throws Wolf over the top rope. He reacts to a chair shot by picking up Wolf by the throat and slamming him down into a table and breaking it. Then tosses Wolf back in the ring and barrels into him with CORPUS GENOCIDE. The brave ref taps Genocide on the shoulder after refusing to make the pin count. He had disqualified him for the broken table incident. Genocide rages and looks like he might assault the ref. Lorelei can see him losing control and desperately screams out not to do it. Genocide just about controls himself. He later let off steam by heading out the back of the venue to the garbage area and pounding every trash can he could find. He created a terrible mess and one poor garbage droid that was dropping litter off got ripped in half.
Rising Sun and Titan Attack overcome Dark Justice, Mike Fortune and Mutant in a 6 Man Elimination match. The Hitmen-Titan feud hasn’t really had much time in the spotlight this year. Plus with the latest unsavoury incident involving Krakan and the Terrorists it’s overshadowed the Titan involvement. However time to give it a chance. Better late than never. It was good to see Lord Nexus looking relaxed at ringside knowing Krakan was suspended. Although he obviously doesn’t condone how it had come to be … Rising Sun eliminated Dark Justice after a waistlock suplex. Early Titan domination and Justice is the first to fall … Mutant beats Ursa Major. Surprise outcome as Ursa is beaten with TEMPLE GRINDER … Mutant sees off Scion Nexus by DQ. Uncharacteristic for a Titan to suffer a disqualification. Scion claims self defence for his actions during an out of ring brawl but the ref ignores … Rising Sun knocks off Mike Fortune via SUNSET SPECTACULAR … Rising Sun defeated Mutant after a tough match with waistlock suplex to win for the Titans. Malice and Overkill manhandled the Rigel Warriors. The Gladiators won’t miss Centra. The whole murder saga along with Malice and Overkill struggling has not been good. Thunder has been the one shining light although it even took him a while to get going. At least Malice and Overkill seem to finishing the year stronger and were expected to easily see off the Rigel Warriors here. As usual Lance gets a big pop but he was powerless to stop the Gladiators. He gave a reasonable account himself only for Meteor to get into strife. The Gladiators showed no mercy as they finished him off with UNSTOPPABLE FORCE.
Mace and Terminus upset Twin Blood. A slap in the face for Disorder X. Thantos can’t trust them and pulls them out the match to pair Mace and Terminus up against Twin Blood instead. It’s a master stroke as they grab a surprise win. At first they looked uncoordinated only to grow as a pair. Terminus was the one who shone the most and he managed to get Dreggs with HAMMERLOCK SLAM for the pin. Despite the result I cannot see Mace and Terminus becoming a regular duo.
Enigma defeated Euritar by DQ. What a difference a month can make. Euritar hasn’t enjoyed the best of years yet was part of the winning team at TEAM SUPREME and the MVP. What’s even more satisfying is he has risen above Code Enforcer in the Centra Wrestling Illustrated rankings for the first time. It’s a shame he’s not wrestling him here as he might be confident to finally beat him. Unfortunately the Code Enforcer is still on crutches. Instead he faces Enigma who is another guy in really good form. Someone’s winning run had to come to an end and it was Euritar’s. They served up the excellent match expected which Enigma just shaded. Although he was denied the more valuable pin kind of victory as after hitting ENIGMA SUICIDA for the second time Reynard B. Guile ruined things by entering the ring and trying to hand Euritar a foreign object. The ref was on the ball and detected this and issues a disqualification.
Blazing Skull squashed Grovel. With this possibly being the last ever Centra card Blazing seeks to end with the max ferocity of DEATH BY FIRE. Figuring that any suspension might just get forgotten in the reset phase. Poor Grovel was the one put up against him. Did it really know what it was letting itself in for? Lorelei does her best to offer guidance and protection. All the while she has to look out for her own safety with Maleph flying about too. Mercifully it was over too quickly for Blazing to contemplate such an atrocious act. He didn’t think Grovel would be so weak as to go down after 6 moves via a Skull Head Crack. Lorelei was quick to act to get Grovel away before anything else could happen. Using food to tempt it out. Blazing looked annoyed and someone is sure to pay for this missed opportunity.
Corporal Aegis crushed Rouser. Don’t know how anyone managed this but Rouser steps into the ring with Corporal Aegis. He’s like a lamb led to slaughter. None of the other Colonizers could be bothered to be at ringside to help him out. Aegis looks like he cannot wait to get started. Gives his knuckles a quick crack and then sets about getting hold of him. It’s like a game of cat and mouse as Aegis closes in several times but Rouser evades him. He cannot run forever though. Is almost a carbon copy of the previous match as once Aegis gets him it’s a mauling. Over in just 4 moves. Aegis used CORPORAL PUNISHMENT twice at the behest of the crowd who wanted to see Rouser take an extra one. Aegis knows this could be the last time he stands before Centra in the ring. He gives the each section of the crowd a salute. He’s a tough man but it must of been very emotional for him. Spike battered Sir Ender. Spike’s wrestling swan song? This guy has had so many last ever matches that you cannot take it seriously when it gets suggested. However this could be it. To ensure he goes off in winning style he’s fed Sir Ender to knock around. Sir Ender’s courage soon leaves him once faced with Spike and he tried to evade him for a while. Once Spike got a piece of him it was almost instantly over. Taking merely 3 moves with an Atomic Spike setting up MEGADESTROYER. Sir Ender picks himself up a little while afterwards and insists on being handed the mic to address the crowd “farewell to Centra, I know you’ll miss me. I’ve touched so many of your lives with my acts of bravery but I must now bid you adieu”. He was totally ignorant of the boos and rotten food being pelted at him. At one point what looked like a rotten tomato struck the back of the head. He carried on regardless. Wonder what will Dimension K will make of this buffoon?

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1197 – 1200)
Champions *GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Paragon (Top Contender: Genocide) *GWFC Tag Champs: Titan Attack (Top Contenders: Team With No Name) *GWFC Centra Champ: Archon (Top Contender: Euritar) *GWFC Ladies Champ: Anaxis (Top Contender: Maxine Babe) Latest News: First to deal with the year end awards. The terror Murdok has invoked in Centra since his awakening made him a shoe-in for most hated even though his actual win-loss record in the ring was pretty average. Some brave (or perhaps foolish) Centran Archaeologists tried to raid some other tombs on Antilia after his emergence to prevent other historical figures rising up. They are still AWOL. Trench came in second which shows the people of Centra don’t take to traitors kindly. Rouser also featured very highly. It’s worth mentioning that Wolf and even Rankor garnered quite a few votes in this poll too. Who would of thought Wolf could ever be so high in such a category? In the main categories there was a surprise as Titan Attack pip Twin Blood to the become tag team of the year. In fact the Titans came close to winning both as Rising Sun only just got edged out by Thunder as wrestler of the year. Special mentions must also go to Painmaster, Genocide, Archon and Wolf who were all knocking on the door of the top 2. It was great to see Lord Nexus get honoured as the top manager for the first time. He was a deserving winner. There were unofficial polls run for worst wrestler, tag team and manager. For what it’s worth these were won by Pegasus 😆, Transformer and Reynard B. Guile respectively. The Great Comeback may of won TEAM SUPREME but nobody was fooled by this. As seen on the Trisis Showcase Lance At-Las confirms his plan to stay in Centra no matter what happens in the next few days/weeks “I’m nervous about stepping into the unknown and possibly losing contact with friends forever. At the same time I am excited. The people of Centra are wonderful and have adopted me as one of their own. We will build a great new federation together”. The people of Centra showed their admiration for him for voting him as the most popular wrestler which takes some doing considering how much Corporal Aegis is loved by them. Voluntarily staying behind with him is Meteor who says his career in the GWFC is going nowhere. Maybe the challenge of building a new fed with his closest friend Lance will be something he needs in order to progress and also kick that drug habit once and for all. Sadly Trisis herself will not be staying. Lance wanted her to hang around and be the main face of the new fed presenting all its main shows and events. Trisis said “it’ll be hard to leave Centra but Corporal Aegis and I are forming a romantic attachment so I will follow him to Dimension K. Plus I heard they are pretty big on social media which will appeals to me as I like think of myself as an influencer as well as a presenter. Maybe also once they see my work in the GWFC they’ll give me a job doing some presenting”.
The returning Heavyweight champion to Dimension K will be Paragon as he finally got the better of Thunder to win the belt. It had seemed that nobody was going to get the belt off Thunder due to all the gang attacks. Especially after seeing what happened to Genocide earlier in the month. However with Brute being suspended and special match rules applied Paragon was able to show his ability and get what he has probably deserved. He won’t have much time to rest as the Gladiators are already making plans to get the belt back as soon as possible. Plus Genocide has a very strong case for being named as the next top contender which is a very daunting match possibility. Another thing to worry about is whether the GWFC champions will carry over into the GWF. Commissioner Morpheus is considering a reset and scheduling tournaments. Surely Disorder X cannot survive as a team. Mace and Grunge haven’t spoke in weeks with Anaxis acting as a go between. The uptick in their form apparently did nothing to help their relationship and things have soured even more now their decent run has ended. The loss to rivals Twin Blood and failed title shot against Titan Attack did most of the damage. Then they ended up brawling with each other during TEAM SUPREME. Krakan has been suspended indefinitely for the attack on the Terrorists. They have been hospitalised and suffered damage to their central nervous systems leaving their careers in limbo. Commissioner Morpheus acted swiftly and said “Krakan has crossed the line, we cannot allow terrorist acts to take place. He will be suspended indefinitely and possibly permanently”. Krakan was upset by this but perhaps even more upset that he failed to hit Draconian Sheik too. He said “Drac and Khan tried to kill me five years ago and deserve whatever happens to them. This is war! Montrol by joining forces with them got what he deserved too. If I am to be banned for life then I went out in full Krakan style!” Sniper is on a warpath after being stood up for a dinner date by Tough Guy. She had hoped he was ready to put an end to all his extra curricular activities and that they could try and get their relationship back on track one last time. She says “f*ck men, they are scumbags. I would love a match with that jerk to make him pay”. Not much chance of that as (a) He’s gone AWOL and (b) Commissioner Morpheus has declared TEAM SUPREME was absolutely the last time, whilst he is in office, that women and men can compete against each other”. TEAM SUPREME recap. In what has been a difficult year for many of the hero teams it was good for them all to see the two most dangerous villain teams embarrassingly exit in the first round. Both the Colonizers and Gladiators failed miserably. Unfortunately none of the hero teams capitalised and it was impressively won by the Great Comeback in an all villain final. Commando Sam and Thantos made history by coming out of retirement and facing each other in a match as a result of the Code Endorcer’s injury at the hands of Splatter. Sam has been retired a lot longer than Thantos and it showed as he was quickly beaten. Maybe this will set a trend for future cards. Despite this exciting moment Sam still seemed to rub a few people up the wrong way by bragging about the efforts of his FDF and suggesting they are the only hero team capable of taking it to all the villain teams. He is now fed up of his team not being loved and getting due credit and says “maybe the return to the known dimension will be a good thing. From my POV the fans needed us to step up and take the fight to the villains. We have been putting fires out all over the place but maybe we should have been allowed a greater run at the Colonizers instead of the ROC team doing it. We are not appreciated here like we should be”. Strangely Sam chooses not to dwell on the brutal lottery attack Splatter inflicted on the Code Enforcer during his rant. Maybe that’s a score to be settled back in Dimension K. Another hero team deserving plaudits outside of Sam’s blinkered world are the Rocketmen. Considering they were missing a major player like Paragon they had a fantastic run in the tournament that evoked memories of 2103. They just came up short in the semis against the eventual winners the Great Comeback. It took a tie breaker to split the two teams. That’s a rap for Centra. A fun diversion from the norm but looking forward to getting back to the GWF proper and using the classic venues/return of some characters. The ROC didn’t really do themselves justice here and will hope for better without pressure of performing in front of their own people. They didn’t win much. The one title they badly wanted to win was the Centra belt but that was only managed by Tocsin very briefly. They’ll need to improve in Dimension K. Anyway I’ll do a read of the handbook to refresh myself and then a mini write up to set the scene for 2012. INJURED – Ventross (1), Prodigy (1), Code Enforcer (7), Terrorists (unknown); SUSPENDED – Brute (1), Krakan (indefinite) WRESTLER OF THE MONTH: ENIGMA - five wins in a row including four this month. Often on the fringes of the Rocketmen team but has quietly shown what an electrifying wrestler he still is and completely owned Pegasus when they met. Surely a shot at the Centra belt beckons. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH: TITAN ATTACK - seems mad to suggest that Lord Nexus might be thinking of switching things up as and when this title run ends but the Titan team is a conveyor belt for great tag teams. All we can do is honour their achievements after another excellent month of performances in the ring.
GWI - End of Year Awards WRESTLER OF THE YEAR – Thunder (runner up: Rising Sun) TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR – Titan Attack (runners up: Twin Blood) MANAGER OF THE YEAR – Lord Nexus (runner up: Johnny Rocket) MOST POPULAR – Lance At-Las (runner up: Corporal Aegis) MOST HATED – Murdok (runner up: Trench) MOST INSPIRATIONAL – Corporal Aegis (runner up: Nora Pelf) BEST NEWCOMER(S) – Ventross (runner up: not announced) BEST FEUD – Corporal Aegis-Murdok (runner up: Thunder-Paragon) BEST MATCH – Thunder-Code Enforcer #1170 (runner up: Rising Sun-Dark Justice #1153)

2112 INTRO:
I’ll try and summarise as much as possible. Some of the handbook stuff has already been written about in my fed. Here are the main headlines though.
*Vengeance found not guilty on Centra. Detective Quidun spent months programming in the evidence but it did not reach the 95% likelihood necessary for a guilty verdict. It’s relief for the Gladiators but they are still angry that the real killers are loose. Doomsayer proved a key factor in the verdict by saying the poison used was only found in Andromeda and would have been unavailable to Vengeance.
*As we know Phantast brought news that the wrestling ban was overturned and after lots of planning the dangerous return trip happened. As expected Lance At-Las and Meteor voluntarily stayed behind. However poor Painmaster also got left in Centra. After challenging Mandrill over his status on the team it got dealt with in a cruel and controversial way. On the day of departure Mandrill visited Painmaster in a motel room and told him he was considering his requests. However as soon as Painmaster turned his back Mandrill knocked him unconscious with a blow to the back of the head. On entering the ship Mandrill lied to officials and said Painmaster was onboard. He simply sniggered and said “I must of made a mistake when counting heads”. Nobody realised Painmaster was gone until the trip had been completed. Mandrill’s official stance is that Painmaster must of elected to stay behind and help Lance and Meteor build the new fed. Privately though he has laughed and bragged so the truth is very clear. Just when you thought Mandrill couldn’t get any lower.
*It was a long 2 week journey which is particulary tough for all these characters to share close quarters. Several of the hardcore wrestlers engaged in boiler room matches to let off steam and pass time against the orders of Commissioner Morpheus. Rumour is a few of these were classics and caught on video. After finding a safe location to enter the known dimension the journey continued onto Deimos where thousands of fans including Omega, Star Warrior and Alpha Force excitedly awaited the arrival. There was massive cheering as everyone stepped off the ship although there had been a boiler room match in progress as the ship landed. So Anarchy and Vyper came out still fighting with the battle continuing down the ramp and then through the crowd. There were some speeches although they did not last long as everyone was tired. Morpheus said everything has been recorded for posterity and all the stories would be revealed soon. He did mention the tragedy of Massacre which caused shock. The plan would be to commence the press conferences in a few days which will give everyone time to reunite with families, put their lives in order and rest up.
PRESS CONFERENCE SUMMARIES:
Trisis gives an intro and along with Qualitar (yes he’s back) covers most of these. She lets slip that her and Aegis are an item and they are both living close to each other in the Omicron system (hopefully this won’t be part of a GWF jinx when it comes to romances) although she’s more concerned about setting the scene for the forthcoming press conferences. She’s very keen to meet the first family of wrestling and wonders whether Bloodline will be among them.
OMEGA, MORPHEUS AND SOLARIS
The feel good factor was sky high and Commissioner Morpheus immediately announced plans for a tournament for the new GWF belts culminating at DEIMOS PERENNIAL. That was a very exciting prospect. Then Star Warrior, Alpha Force and Supernova emerge to reunite the family. Star Warrior was happy and fist pumping. He hopes this could be a chance for his younger brother Bloodline to join them and make everything perfect. Although when Bloodline then shows up Star Warrior looked surprised. His comment was more one of hope than expectation. It was very quickly clear Bloodline wasn’t in a reconciling mood as he orders his family off the stage. He informs them it is pointless to resist as it is an order from the true owner of the GWF. That’s the cue for Cordanus to enter and he drops a bombshell as he tells that he was named the owner in 2110 so the GWF could be disbanded which never legally happened. He had taken advantage of a technicality. Things got very heated and Star Warrior had to be restrained as he tried to make a lunge for Bloodline and Cordanus. The first family did the sensible thing and left. Cordanus addressed the crowd after this to say the real press conferences start tomorrow and gave a teaser that he will managing the most powerful team in GWF history too.
TAKEOVER
Qualitar covered this and he uncovers some dirt on Cordanus who had tried to dispel some rumours. It’s revealed that Cordanus is a failed wrestler that showed up way back in 2104. He wrestled as Tyranny under a mask and was soundly beaten in three matches with Enigma, Thunder and Draconian Sheik. The last of which had left him badly injured after which he was let go for being so out of his depth. Cordanus was clearly bitter at not being given a fair shot and fed to the wolves. Of course that was not true as he’d gotten the same treatment as any other rookie. Cordanus then admits he does want revenge and reveals he was a keen fan of wrestling when he was younger and idolised his heroes. However when he failed in his bouts he didn’t receive any help or advice from the likes Commander Sam and Star Warrior. He’d been left to rot in the garbage in his mind and now he was having the last laugh by getting the GWF and the second rate CPC shut down for two years and now becoming the owner. Qualitar, who is still a CPC guy, didn’t like that last comment. Cordanus goes on to reveal he is more than just an owner though. He’ll be the Commissioner, a manager and also a wrestler and make up for lost time by winning the tag belts. Trisis is sharing the questions with Qualitar and wonders how, having never won a match before, he intends to achieve this. This was the moment for Cordanus to unveil his new team called Takeover. It was no surprise that Bloodline trooped out although Thantos following him caused some whispering. Thantos quickly announced Team CPC had become a shadow of its former self stuck in a pointless feud with Johnny Rocket. The other members could all go rot because the only one worth any salt and that he enjoys managing is Bloodline. Of course the fact it honks off the Omega clan was a big motive. There was more though as he then declares he is managing another individual and calls him ‘the second coming of Thantos’. The young man looks like a younger version of him and is introduced as his son of Thantos. He is called Encubus. Together as a team they’ll be called Next Generation. After all this dies down Trisis stirs the pot wanting to know why Cordanus calls himself a manager as Thantos is clearly the manager. Cordanus chooses this time to introduce Mensar. A huge hulking man from his home world who he intends to manage to singles belts and also win the tag belts with. That’s right, Cordanus will be teaming with Mensar as Blacklist. It’s pretty obvious who’ll be carrying the team (although I am sure Cordanus will let Mensar do the work and try to come in for cheapshots and to finish matches for all the credit, it’s just his style). The shocks keep coming as Cordanus finally reveals the team insurance policy. As Commissioner he’s lifted Krakan’s suspension and they’ve gone into business together. Krakan and his Hitmen will watch the backs of Takeover and receive ‘proper’ payments in return. That will come in the form of preferential treatment like title shots and money no doubt. One extra thing to ponder on all this is how long can the union of Bloodline and Encubus last? Maybe in a few years we will revisit the classic feud of Star Warrior and Thantos in the form of Bloodline and Encubus.
THE AVENGING WARRIORS
Tense. Star Warrior arrives in a mask much like the one he wore as Avenging Warrior when the original Galactic Code was broken. He carried a crowbar which is becoming a symbol of the GWF establishment against the forces that try to destroy it. He goes on a destructive rampage with it. Suffice to say he’s pretty upset. He announces the return of Avenging Warrior and is going after Cordanus with everything he’s got. He would have to make do without Alpha Force and Chaos though who are both happy in WGX. Instead he has got a dazzling new tag team that he hopes will put New Generation to shame. They are Prodigy and Enigma. Together they’ll be known as Light Speed. Signing Enigma is interesting as he was one of the guys that beat Cordanus in his run as Tyranny. Enigma recalls it as his easiest ever match and says “even as jobbers go, he was lame”. Suddenly the press conference gets called off by two lackeys wearing ‘Cordanus Rules’ T-shirts shouting “the man with the power has said this over”. Before they can forcefully remove everyone a figure dashes into the room and takes them out with a double clothesline. It was Wolf. What a signing. He isn’t back with Amazonia but at least he is back among the hero team. He couldn’t hang with Brymstone Burning any longer and cannot wait to get his fangs into Mensar. Before any more drama could unfold the room was plunged into darkness and a loud piercing tone emitted to bring an end to proceedings.
GLADIATORS OF AETHRA
Would Cordanus dare to try and disrupt the Gladiators? First the official retirement of Spike is announced. Then in a shock Vengeance is declared the new minister of war in accordance with Aethran Rules of Ascension. Then a rude interruption from Phantast as smoke fills the stage and he steps out of the mist. He promised to reveal the truth behind Massacre’s murder. There was a lack of trust from everyone although he says “I am a sorcerer but in the service of good against evil”. Although Vengeance was the conspirator the actual killer was Mayhem. He certainly had motive as Massacre had blamed him for the loss of Sudden Death in 2095 and had him banished. Of course Mayhem will get away with it. A murder in a different dimension meaning Aethran Law wouldn’t touch it and since Vengeance is top dog now nobody cares. He will likely promote Mayhem to a high ranking position. It’s just the way this warrior race works. Strangely Brute accepts what had happened but Spike won’t stand idly by. He shouts “maybe if I kill Vengeance I’ll be the next minister of war” and tried to attack. He is intercepted by the other Gladiators and held back. Seemingly to suffer a grisly fate as Vengeance declares he’ll be punished on returning to Aethra. The last twist was Phantast revealing Doomsayer playing a big part in assisting the murder with lies about the poison origins. He was the one who created it for Vengeance. The reason for his involvement becomes clear as we learn Vengeance had promised him a top Aethran fighter. This is worrying enough that a dangerous new Gladiator is poised to enter the GWF next year. It gets worse when the possibility that he will go through the dreaded Transevolver is floated. Surely an unstoppable force. At this point once again Cordanus ends the press conference. Pretty obvious that he’s going to do it to all of them regardless of who it is.
THE COLONIZERS
Mandrill justifies his decision to leave Painmaster on Centra as being a warning for anyone who dares to challenge his power. He doesn’t think the villain team is splintered as he still has the support of Brymstone Burning, Murdok’s World, Guile’s Great Comeback and Alien Connection. It had been assumed Murdok would be part of the Colonizers but Mandrill says he needs to be with his own kind and fight his own battles. The support of the Colonizers will remain as long as Murdok remains on the side of the villains. Mandrill then gets a shock as Thunder invades the press conference and proclaims Mandrill doesn’t have the support of the Gladiators. They intend to run the villain team now. Mandirll is angry at the intrusion and turns to see Thunder flanked by the other Gladiators. He warns Thunder that not even the legendary Thantos could topple his regime and the Gladiators have many enemies. Gives them one last chance to join forces with him. The offer is refused and just as tempers rise on both sides we get the usual interruption. Cordanus booms over the speakers how seeing two of his most despised enemies at each others throats brings him great pleasure. With Avenging Warrior considering himself as leader of the hero team and these two teams fighting over the lead of the villains it is time to remind everyone who runs the federation. It doesn’t matter who the heroes or villains because Cordanus is the man with the power and all should bow in servitude.
ALIEN CONNECTION
Taechon was missing. Mangus says he/she has left the team as they didn’t fit in. He reiterates his hatred for humans and especially those from Earth. Then says a change of role for Maelstrom as he will be a primarily a singles wrestler set to feud with Archon. This left Trisis wondering where that left US. Traitor. That question was left hanging as new recruits Terminus and Velar are brought out. Terminus said there was a huge bidding war for his services which Mangus won after giving promises of a big singles push. I guess it was pretty obvious to him that on Team CPC Bloodline was the favoured one. He and Velar could have signed with the CPC but they admonish it for being too weak compared to the GWF. Mangus looks confident and says there is a war to be won “Terminus gives me a top contender for the Heavyweight belt, Maelstrom a top contender for the Interplanetary belt, Velar a top contender for the women’s belt and now my next signings a chance for the tag belts. This will make Sam cringe”. Of course that means Desolation Factor has switched sides and joined Mangus. It’s at this point the question from earlier is assessed as US. Traitor enquires “what about me?” Mangus gives a sinister answer of “you have a role too … as an example of what we are going to do to all humanoids”. The entire Alien Connection then beats him to a pulp. His shirt is ripped off and his chest gets branded. Mangus finally spits on the human trash and the team departs. This was the only press conference so far that Cordanus hasn’t ended early. Maybe he finds the intense blood feud between Sam and Mangus entertaining!
MURDOK’S WORLD
This was a strange one. Murdok seems like a fish out of water as he struggles to cope with being reawakened after centuries in a coma. He still blames the Ravagers for the death of his race and is obsessed by revenge. Since he was the ruler of Antilia he is accustomed to giving orders and commanding armies. He walks to the mic like a king approaching a throne. His exchanges with Trisis are hostile as he commands Aegis and eveyone else to join his world and bow down before him. Murdok says their fate is sealed when Trisis speaks on behalf of Aegis and refuses. His team will be called Murdok’s World and he invites his loyal kingdom to enter the great hall. Trench, Warfare and Grovel are the members and referred to as the pure Centran race who will be led to the promised land. Trisis cannot believe this fantasy at which point Trench pipes up and mocks Trisis and the rest of her team for believing the Ravagers baloney about some Plague. The big shock is Warfare being among them. Murdok says he is a wayward soul in need of direction and he longed to be back with Trench who was the only true friend he ever had. Grovel was easy to get on board being from Primus. Murdok believes he/it will be a loyal follower. He has all the tools to go after Aegis and the Ravagers now in this holy war. Trisis asks “what about Max Shield as he is part of ROC?” Murdok says Max means nothing. He might be an enemy but Murdok lacks the manpower to include him in this war. Then a big moment as someone shouts “oh yes you do!” Out of nowhere Genocide runs out and jumps onto the big stage. He points at Murdok and screams “I want a piece of that worm Max. He’s held me back for years. He likes Buck Steele and not me”. Murdok makes him promise to swear loyalty and servitude I order to join up. Genocide is kind of “yeah, whatever” but it seems he is onboard now. The feud for the ROC team has suddenly got much tougher. Murdok now ends the press conference as he tires of tolerating the blasphemers. It’s an interesting team that the ROC will face as strangely Murdok has managed to unify Centra in a way they cannot by having representatives from each part of it.
BRYMSTONE BURNING
Starts of like some horrific Halloween show which only ends when Trisis asks if there is any point to all this spooking. Anarchy says that there is and a bit announcement is to be made. When he asks Maleph to tel everyone he looks as confused as everyone else “tell them what?” At this point Blazing Skull invites Maleph to come and see what Wolf left for the team. He flew down to the stage and as he got close Blazing turned on him and burned his face with fire. It was a trap and Maleph fell to the ground in agony. Anarchy declares that the team has had enough of managers and only stands for anarchy and destruction. Blazing tells everyone not to worry about giving Maleph medical attention. It was only a dose of synthetic fire but next time he might not be so lucky. The freak show then continues as the Hellions are inducted as new members finally bringing all the Brymstonians together. Would their joining the team finally entice Lorelei into the ring?
THE CENTAURIANS
Lorelei came to the podium with Amazonia. Blade nowhere to be seen. Lorelei vows to fight fire with fire in her quest for revenging the death of her son almost a decade ago. Lorelei worries about the recent defections the team has suffered and enquires about the absence of Blade. Lorelei admits he has left. She loves her son and realises this is not his kind of feud. He is an athlete and although he has wonderful qualities they are not right for the kind of street fight style needed against Anarchy and Blazing Skull. Thankfully he still wants to be a wrestler and is joining Lord Nexus and the Titans with immediate effect. He fits in much better there and can hopefully realise his great potential. Am sure he may still occasionally sign a match against the Brymstonians though. The plan is for Blade to form a new tag team called Titan Honor with Ursa Major so Scion Nexus can have a singles push. Of course that will be on hold until Titan Attack drop the tag titles. To fill the void Lorelei has gone hardcore with the new recruits. Vyper and Draconian Sheik come out. Vyper holds a large snake whilst Drac is unintelligible as usual. They are to be called Deadly Sins and will be able to fight Unspeakable Horror on their terms. Vyper says he is tired of fighting other people’s battles like the Terrorists with their vendetta. He’s a loner that trusts nobody. Lorelei says “I am free to do my thing but I like Drac. For some reason Drac seems to like him even though he’s never uttered a sentence he can understand. They just seem to click on some level. Of course the next question is how Amazonia would cope against the two Hellions in a feud. Lorelei now reveals the worst kept secret that she is ready to enter the ring. They will form a team called the Amazon Brawlers to combat the Hellions. It seems strange that Lorelei persist with the overall team name of the Centaurians with only one member being from there. Perhaps she should change the name to Lorelei’s Revenge?
OTHER RELEVANT NEWS:
*Watch out for when Bloodline wins matches with MASTERLOCK. Cordanus and Thantos want him to keep the hold on and injure opponents. It has the potential to backfire!
*Cordanus has introduced the Mensa Table match this year. It should be a speciality of Mensar’s.
*The Hitmen could be a potent outside weapon for the Takeover team. Using their marksman skills they will be taking occasional pot shots against wrestlers on order of Cordanus via the Hitmen Hired Gun Charts.
*Avenging Warrior’s crowbar won’t just be symbolic. He is so enraged that he will be using it against enemies outside the ring if he gets too worked up. The mask he now wears is different to the one from 2086 as the original one was deliberately tossed into the ocean. He never believed he would be needing one again.
*There is a bit of splintering within the hero teams. People like Omega, Lord Nexus and Max Shield are disturbed by the trend of hero teams to fight fire with fire. Examples of this are Avenging Warrior, Commando Sam and Lorelei. They all seem as guilty as anyone on the villain team of violating the spirit of the Galactic Code.
*Vengeance has promised Overkill a long overdue cleansing in 2113 but will the new minister of war tolerate the performances of the Gladiator tag team until that time? They were woeful in Centra. Had the performances been seen live there might have been a bigger backlash against them on Aethra.
*Trisis is lobbying to bring her succesful talk show to the GWF. Thus far Cordanus is refusing her airtime.
*Commando Sam has reacted to the loss of Desolation Factor by recruiting US. Male and American Guy (the two top wrestling prospects on Earth). Collectively known as Stars and Stripes. Sam says he shouldn’t ever of trusted alien scum and that the only people he can trust is humans. However Sam’s extreme behaviour isn’t going down any better here than in Centra. Sam is showing more and more that the man who shocked us all in 2104 by turning on Omega is the real Sam. The fans are not comfortable with these types of heroes. Whilst they still support Avenging Warrior and his team in some venues the fans actually root for Alien Connection against the FDF. Mangus is a much greater force this year with several power moves. Maelstrom will be the biggest representation of that as he seems to hate humanoids more than ever before (if that was possible) and calls himself the ‘human exterminator’. His aim is to use BRAND OF CYGNUS on all humans. Although he never thought that the fans may actually cheer the act if it happens. *US. Traitor tried to rejoin the FDF and change back to his old name soon after the Alien Connection attack. He asked for forgiveness but Sam and Ms. Liberty would have none of it. Ms. Liberty slapped him in the face and Sam booted him in the midsection followed by a knee lift. He was left on the floor with Sam’s words of “once a traitor always a traitor” ringing in his ears. It seems he has burned his bridges and since announced his retirement. A sad end to a noteworthy career. He held every major GWF belt at one point or another. The Interplanetary belt was round his waist numerous times. He even had a decent run as the CPC Heavyweight champion. But he will always be best remembered for his traitorous turn and shocking behaviour towards his then wife Ms. Liberty. Some now worry for his safety and his whereabouts are unknown. There are fears that he may resort to suicide.
*Johnny Rocket is claiming total victory over the CPC. His claims maybe exaggerated but in his mind his team had run Team CPC out of the GWF and he had taken Magnus Colby’s women. He’s now exasperated to be mired in a feud with Guile’s Great Comeback saying “I defeated the most powerful man in the galaxy and now I’m challenged by a total wimp”. A big loss is the departure of Enigma to the Avenging Warriors but he was having trouble controlling all his stars anyway. Johnny is still having issues with Skinhead and Paragon as both want to be the top guy. Skinhead was given a chance last year albeit briefly. His near miss in the GALACTICON main event was the big opportunity that got away. Now Paragon is clearly top dog again. He’s the Heavyweight champ after all. Can Rocket keep them happy? He is still managing Twin Blood who are one of the greatest teams ever. So his team is mega strong. A potential developing story is rumour that Nora Pelf is getting sweet on Paragon and been seen flirting with him regularly. Developing fireworks?
*Reynard B. Guile is another guy exaggerating by claiming victory over the FDF and now he’s lowering standards to Johnny Rocket’s team. His Great Comeback team were awful last year but the team did finish strong and stunned everyone as they won TEAM SUPREME. *Now the GWF has returned to Dimension K Euritar was contractually obliged to return to the Code Enforcer role he hates and Sam intended to enforce it! However Cordanus stepped in to declare it null and void but only if Euritar helps him. It means Euritar will also be a part time member of Takeover. B. Guile doesn’t like sharing him but has little choice. Seems Euritar will have a little monkey named ‘Cordanus’ on his back this year.
*We know the Titan plan is to refresh their main tag team as and when Titan Attack lose the belts. Blade and Ursa Major will be become Titan Honor. It’s being done to keep things fresh and give Scion Nexus a run in singles. Lord Nexus has also recruited Sniper after she approached him and wanted to be on a team she could trust. Lord Nexus was only too happy to have her. He is glad to keep hold of Rising Sun who was offered a chance to join Takeover with a massive pay rise dangled. Rising showed his loyalty and refused. However can Lord Nexus keep this incredibly popular and talented man satisfied in a mid card feud with the Hitmen? A team that is more concerned with shooting guys and indebted to Cordanus. The fact Society of Death is still a tag team is seen as joke. Rising might, in time, think he’s destined for bigger things.
*Doomsayer has many irons in the fire. He’s signed Wraith and put him through the Transevolver resulting in a truly ghostly apparition. Practically invisible but Cordanus is allowing it. Then there’s the offer of a top Aethran fighter in 2113 promised by Vengeance for his help in the Massacre murder conspiracy. A Gladiator that has been in the Transevolver represents possibly the most unstoppable force ever. Then there is an offer Doomsayer has made to Genocide to put him in it and split him into two people. Genocide hates the Buck Steele side of himself so much that he might just do it. The catch is that Genocide must become a member of Transevolver for three years. It’s an ominous thought that Doomsayer could be managing a transevolved Gladiator and Genocide next year. On top of this he wants to put Monad in it and bring back the Cosmic Forces. Someone better get control of him before all this comes to fruition. Doomsayer is cleverly staying out the crossfire of other major teams this year so they don’t interfere by chiefly feuding with independent teams or wrestlers.
*Dreadnaught is still ticking but at greater risk of death as the likelihood of a roll on the death chart increases.
*Ghengis Khan and Montrol both plan to leave and return to their respective home worlds and recover. It’s clear that Krakan is being given leeway to do what he wants so it’s leave now or the next attack maybe more deadly. Maybe for Khan that factory job back on Earth isn’t so bad after all.
*Tough Guy is AWOL. After standing up Sniper back on Centra he actually showed up at departure time and snuck on board. Kept himself more or less isolated from the entire group and then just headed off into the sunset as soon the ship landed.
*Disorder X. No surprise to hear they’ve split and have headed off the CPC to start a feud. Presumably over who was the worst member of the team. Sure they are going to love Mace’s winning personality over there.
*Other retirements from action are Maleph who is presumably licking his wounds back on Brymstone and Mayhem. A high ranking position in Aethran Society awaits Mayhem. His career was actually far from being one of a loser when looking back. The SUDDEN DEATH failure aside he won TEAM SUPREME once and was a MVP. Won the OTB Hardcore bracket in 2100 and also wrestler of the year in 2098. Didn’t do too bad on an actual titles either with the Heavyweight belt (3), Interplanetary belt (2), Heavy Metal belt (3), WAR GAMES singles belt (1) plus a brief holding of the CPC Heavyweight belt although that isn’t recognised due to the controversial rule in modern wrestling where you have to make at least 1 succesful defence to go into the official lineage.
*Moral Majority (Varsity and Sabre) is a mixed tag team that have moved over from CPC. As we know Morpheus put a stop to matches between men and women when he was Commissioner. Cordanus has made no announcement on his stance but it could be they see limited action, certainly as a pair.
*Rather than retire Morpheus has offered to act as an advisor to the Avenging Warriors.
*The Mad Jesters continue in their zany off the wall manner. In fact that’s what their new tag team name will be Off The Wall.
*Omega is horrified over all that has happened. As he is still serving his term in UFSP office he is trying to lobby for a bill to get Cordanus’s powers removed.
*Phantast comes and goes as he pleases. He kind of sees himself as a Guardian Angel of the GWF. Some think he may attempt a humanitarian mission to rescue Painmaster from his purgatory on Centra.
*Savage Kingdom has no reps. The planet was quarantined in 2010-11 so scientists could study the mysterious disease that had entered Neptune from another star system. Seems the Creeper was the carrier having contracted it probably during a wrestling match where it is easy for perspiration, blood and saliva to get into a beings system. The virus has been given a name of Etimasia and can lay latent for years. Unless discovered early results can be fatal. Fortunately very few species are susceptible. Sadly a few of the Savage Kingdom Zoo are. The Creeper will survive but the fate of Sectarian is less certain. Scientists have called for inoculations in the GWF and Cordanus has complied. There will also be screenings as it is possible someone in the fed is carrying. Most likely Mutant who may of given the disease to the Creeper during one of their many slobber knockers.
*Solaris was asked to resume his Kronos duties but has flatly refused to work with Cordanus or be associated with the GWF whilst he is at the helm. He has returned to his home in Proxima Centauri.
*Sir Ender and the Soulwatcher will continue in the GWF. The former should provide plenty of comedy value just like he did on Centra.
*Vengeance will not be active in 2112. He has returned to Aethra to solidify his new power before considering a return. He is, after all, still in his prime and could be a top contending wrestler for a few years to come. For now he has realised his dream to become Minister of War. The telltale sign for his ruthless ambition was there from the start. When he entered the GWF in 2096 he said to Massacre in the Gladiator press conference “you might of made a big mistake, I wouldn’t trust a sick dude like me, maybe you shouldn’t either”. So Massacre might of unwittingly unleashed the force that eventually killed him!

CARD 1201 – ACHERNAR TECHNODROME: Here we go. Wrestling officially returns and the grand honour of staging this first card goes to the Achernar Technodrome. Home of Darkos. Wonder where he is now? Anyway it’s a big deal and plenty of dignitaries as well as thousands of diehard fans are in attendance. Keen to catch a glimpse of newcomers from Centra as well as see their heroes in action again. It’s not a particulary stacked show but there’s a couple of debuts. One of which is Mensar which creates a fair amount of interest.
Anarchy left Vyper a bloody mess. Almost a continuation of their boiler room match that was in progress when the ship touched down. That eventually got broken up by police. They wanted the chance to finish things in the ring. Lorelei nervously hopes her decision to move Blade on and go down the hardcore route will immediately be vindicated. Vyper’s new long haired look was cool and he must of had about 4 different snakes all coiled around his body and limbs. It was quite a sight and one that even made Anarchy hesitate. It actually took Vyper and Lorelei quite a while to remove them all so things could commence. Once it did though it was pretty disastrous for Vyper. His early attacks were repelled and Anarchy took control. Piling on the fatigue straight away and taking some unusual risks by going for several deathjumps. It was one of these that led to the win. Lorelei showed too much faith in Vyper to withstand these and failed to interfere. As if the loss wasn’t bad enough things get worse as Blazing Skull puts in an appearance. He warns Lorelei to stay back unless she wants her features burned. She has to watch as Anarchy picks up Vyper so Blazing can deliver a blast of synthetic fire. Not too much as to badly injure him. They don’t want to spoil their fun for the year ahead. Enough to lay down a marker though and leave Vyper injured for a few cards. Cordanus was swift at dealing with the issue. Within a few hours he reported Vyper was not too badly hurt and injured for 3 cards. He decided that Anarchy and Blazing Skull should be suspended for the same duration. Not that they’ll care.
Stars and Stripes grind out a debut victory over Society of Death. First look at Commando’s Sam’s new team. He leads them out wildly waving the American flag and shouting all manner of insults towards Desolation Factor and Mangus. DM on commentary doesn’t approve “he needs to calm down and focus on their actual opponents, I’ve lost count of number of times he’s said alien scum already”. American Guy is not much better. He’s very loud and also a hothead whilst US. Male seems much quieter. Being this fired up this was likely to end in DQ which wouldn’t have been the best of starts. Fortunately they calm down enough to let things flow at the start. Perhaps moving towards a quick win as they had Mutant running around in circles. Only problem is they couldn’t finish it off despite using their finishers. Sam starts to get agitated as Mutant eventually tags out and from this point on Society of Death starts to make a better fight of it. However they don’t have the ability to maintain a consistent offence. Stars and Stripes manage to get back into a rhythm and eventually pin Splatter after PATRIOT MISSILE. Sam, who had just about resisted getting physically involved throughout, tried to make a big deal of the win and fervently waves the flag. The crowd response is lukewarm. Jury still out on Stars and Stripes after this.
Off The Wall makes easy work of Transformer. If the rumours of Monad going through the Transevolver are true then the days of Transformer as a team are numbered. The experiment hasn’t gone too well with the team falling to mostly losses due to their awkwardness in the ring. The wacky Jesters now sporting a new team name are more than a match for them. They are laughing and playing tricks throughout which annoys Doomsayer. Although not as much as the performance of his supposedly monstrous team. Nth Degree missed clumsily with a knee lift in the first move of the match which just summed them right up. After that they barely got a look in. Nth Degree never tagged out at all. Even when he managed a counter move just decided to keep trying to wrestle and got back into trouble. The cloned Jester then hit with a Mad Dash Clothesline and nabbed the pin. Doomsayer will be thinking the end of the year cannot come soon enough after watching this. He might have some joy with Wraith this year but this team doesn’t look it can do anything much. Mensar obliterated Antak. An easy debut for Mensar. Cordanus stays hidden but am sure he was watching from somewhere. He would of been very satisfied to see Mensar mauling Antak in what was a two minute squash. He showed immense power during this spell and finished things off with a running elbow spear. Only criticism is we didn’t get to see his finisher. That would have been a big way of showing how devastating he is. Also need to remember who he was facing here. Outside of Sir Ender it’s probably Antak who is the weakest wrestler in the fed.
Sniper just about gets the better of Taechon. Lord Nexus being ringside was the most support Sniper’s ever had. She looks happy to have him coaching her. Especially as her form dropped off alarmingly once her record breaking run with the women’s belt had ended on Centra. Hours before the match Krakan sinks to a new low as he describes Lord Nexus as a dirty man who is grooming Sniper. Neither gives him the satisfaction of a response over social media or when they see Krakan at ringside. Instead Sniper does her talking in the ring. Making a strong start. However Taechon then finds a surge of her own and almost wins after CONTACT POINT. Sniper just about hangs on and turns it back around her way with TARGET PRACTICE (a few times) eventually stopping Taechon. She attributes the win to Lord Nexus encouraging her “a few months ago if she’d done that move on me I’d of lost but I could hear Lord Nexus willing me on and it spurred me on”.
Tocsin over Grovel by DQ. Messy match. Grovel dominates large chunks of with its instinctive primal style. Tocsin gets better as the minutes pass by and ultimately prevails by DQ due to an out of ring brawl which saw Grovel try and bite a ringside official that gets too close. It’s not a great performance from Tocsin though. Hard to believe this is the same guy who held the Central belt for a short while not too long ago.

CARD 1202 – DEIMOS INTERGALACTIC ARENA:
Usually Deimos hosts the Perennial. This time its relegated to hosting a regular show. It didn’t even get the honour of being the very first card of 2112. Commissioner Cordanus makes an appearance. He has to soon take shelter as missiles get thrown at him by many fans. Loads of bad feeling. He is now considering a plan to try and get the famous arena dismantled over security concerns or at least struck off the list as a viable wrestling venue. For now the owners don’t want to make a big deal out of it and know that the show must go on. Interplanetary champ, Archon, lost to newcomer Encubus by DQ. A chance to immediately win a belt for Encubus despite only a handful of dark matches wrestled. Clearly hasn’t paid dues but that doesn’t matter under Cordanus who has afforded himself the same opportunity for the tag belts with Mensar at the MENSA PERENNIAL. He proudly follows his legendary father to the ring. The announcer also refers to him as the ‘Prince of Darkness’ which kind of suits him. If he turns out to be even half as good as Thantos was then he has a big career ahead. The match brings Thantos and Sam into close quarters again. Thantos reminds Sam of how he beat him on Centra in a match and not to try any funny business. Famous last words as both managers become very pivotal. Inside the ring it’s a decent enough contest. Encubus doing well considering his lack of experience. Eventually Archon does start to get the better of him though and after THE RIOT ACT Thantos storms the ring. Archon fought him off but it gave vital recovery time to Encubus and he survived the move. Moments later Archon applied his ARCHON SLEEPER CLAMP. Thantos was undeterred and trying to distract the ref. It didn’t work but Encubus managed to wriggle out. You could see the steam coming out of Sam’s ears at this point. In retaliation he gets involved. Only it’s in a much more physical way. Encubus ends up outside the ring and Sam uses the American flag pole to try and smash him which of course is an instant DQ. Aftermath sees Thantos accuse Sam of cowardly actions to save the belt. Then there is a worrying rumour Cordanus may overrule that titles cannot change hands on a DQ or count-out loss. Thankfully that doesn’t come to fruition. Can you imagine the backlash? For sure Encubus will get a rematch though.
Corporal Aegis in brilliant form as he beats Terminus in a Cosmic Cage match. Potentially two of the biggest stars of the forthcoming years are thrown together in a tasty cage match. Aegis has more to prove than Terminus though. His performances on Centra were okay. Although you could see he had never trained before as a wrestler. He was able to get by because of his combat skills. Now with a couple of years experience he believes he can win a belt soon and stand up to the likes of Murdok and Mandrill better. If this was anything to go by he might just be ready to take that big step up now. It was probably the best match if his wrestling career so far. A few minutes of even tussling when Aegis then shocks Terminus and steps up another gear. The fans were loving his Opening Salvo knowing his big finisher CORPORAL PUNISHMENT was coming. After the first one Aegis was trying to go out the cage door and only to get dragged back quite quickly by Terminus. On the second one Terminus seemed far more out of it and Aegis thinks it will be good to try and win in style by going over the top. He climbs the cage wall and already has a leg over by the time Terminus is recovered enough to try and stop him. He makes a futile attempt to reach up only to be left clasping at thin air. Aegis managed to get fully over and comes down the other side. No showboating as jumps the last few feet for a major win. Maybe being away from the pressure and expectation of Centra has made a huge different. DM on commentary even suggests the blossoming relationship with Trisis might have a lot to do with the improvement “a happy and settled private life can make a huge difference. I should know”.
Blade and Rising Sun link up to upset Malice and Overkill. Baptism of fire for Blade as a Titan member. Paired up with Rising Sun against the might of the Gladiators. Surely the Gladiators would be rejuvenated after struggling for the past couple years. Unfortunately Blade’s intended tag team run with Ursa Major as his partner will be delayed until Titan Attack loses the belts. However Lord Nexus felt it was important for him to get used to tagging again and Rising Sun was more than willing to help. Perhaps after this Lord Nexus might want to keep this as the pairing 😆. They manage to grab a surprise win. It hadn’t looked that way though when Blade was on the of UNSTOPPABLE FORCE. Rising Sun ran the gauntlet by making pin save there. Blade recovered well and had a thrilling battle with Malice which he won after catching him out with a Spring Huracanrana. Blade looked thrilled as he’d been desperate to impress Lord Nexus. The opposite must be said of the Gladiators. They know they are unlikely to be cut much slack by Aethra and its new minister of war. They have to be much better than this.
Mensar beats the Soulwatcher by count-out. Mensar had an easy debut against Antak that was hard to measure him by. However he comes into this on the back of a reported ton of crushing victories in dark shows. The claim cannot be confirmed but once he starts here against a better wrestler it is clear he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Especially with Cordanus as the puppeteer pulling the strings. An early attempt to catch Mensar out by the Soulwatcher with a sleeper just goes wrong. Jumping on his back and getting crushed backwards into the nearest turnbuckle. One way traffic after that. When Mensar powerfully clotheslines the Soulwatcher over the top rope he doesn’t return and a count-out is the outcome. Cordanus looks delighted and suggests the Soulwatcher was “very wise to feign injury just so he didn’t have to get back inside that ring”.
Light Speed show their potential by blowing away Animen Invasion. Much is expected of Light Speed. Two of the greatest aerial superstars in history. Allied to Prodigy’s experience as one of the greatest tag wrestlers of all time. Avenging Warrior had stayed out there and was still being intimidating with his crowbar. Even against such a weak team as Animen Invasion he felt the need to threaten them with it. Not that there was ever going to be a need for it as Light Speed were vastly superior here. Dazzling moves and quick tags aplenty until Prodigy finished Son of Ram with THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER. There will obviously be much sterner tests ahead but Light Speed has the look and feel of a brilliant team.
Supernova over Thrash by DQ. Avenging Warrior was with Supernova stomping around the ring with his crowbar. Supernova didn’t look too comfortable with that. In fact neither did Thrash who wasn’t afforded the same luxury from Brute. Not that she was in any real danger. Avenging Warrior may of lost the plot a bit but even he wouldn’t attack a woman. He wouldn’t have been too happy with his sister though. Maybe she’s still suffering a Centra hangover as she allowed Thrash to bully her fur large parts. Although she refused to give in as shown by kicking out after FEMME FATAL three times in all. In the end she was probably quite lucky to escape with a DQ win as Thrash grew more angry at the resistance and ended up trying a Gladiator Piledriver outside the ring after pulling up the mat to reveal concrete. Fortunately she didn’t succeed with the move as quick moving officials stopped her.

CARD 1203 – MENSA PERENNIAL – MENSA GALAXY DOME: Commssioner Cordanus has really bigged up the event. He is showing the cosmos how Mensa can do things better than Deimos. It’s one big con as Cordanus has secretly doubled ticket prices after claiming the event was almost sold out as soon it was announced. Many fans who were desperate see live wrestling again paid up right away and filled the capacity. The only good thing is despite the corrupt attitude of Cordanus he doesn’t seem to be squeamish as he allows a plethora of potentially very bloody special matches. Bloodline defeated Paragon to win the Heavyweight belt. Bloodline is the only title challenger this month that might have some justification having recently held the Centra/IP belt. It’s still a bit corrupt though as he leapfrogged over Genocide who was supposed to be next in line. Although not to be facing Genocide was probably a relief to Paragon. Bloodline is ultra confident and reminds Paragon that he has beaten him before and will do it again. Late in the day Cordanus finds a way to stack things in his favour by preventing Johnny Rocket from accompanying Paragon for not filling paperwork in properly. Also there is talk that the Hitmen are on their first shooting assignment. Although would Cordanus risk it at such a big event with the eyes of the cosmos watching? It might be better in his mind to lull everyone into a false sense of security for a month or two. Rumoured sightings of Krakan and Mike Fortune give credence to the possibility. Although it could be argued Krakan was present at the venue due to Dark Justice wrestling earlier. Whether they would have carried out the hit remained unknown as Bloodline didn’t need any assistance. He was in fine form from the opening bell. Withstanding Paragon’s early power moves and then taking control after getting the upper hand in an outside brawl (with help from Thantos). He soon rocked Paragon with BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG and although it didn’t lead to victory it certainly set him along the path. Barely a minute later he had slapped on CETUS MASTERLOCK and Paragon tapped out surprisingly quickly to relinquish the belt. Bloodline refuses to release and seeks to also injure Paragon. Fortunately Skinhead had been on the bill earlier and although he has a jealous rivalry with Paragon he wasn’t about to let this happen. He storms the ring with a crowbar and forces Bloodline to release before serious injury is inflicted. Bloodline dives through the ropes before he is struck and returns with a chair causing a tense stand off. Encubus even appears in the runway to increase the intimidation factor. Skinhead might have been armed but he was badly outnumbered and looked mightily relieved when Paragon managed to get to his feet and stand shoulder to shoulder with him. Eventually security arrives to diffuse a potentially dangerous situation. Johnny Rocket rages in the aftermath “Paragon was petrified at being shot by those scummy Hitmen and couldn’t give anywhere near his best. We cannot let Cordanus get away with this. I am urging Avengjng Warrior to smash that team to bits. He now has my full support”. Cordanus isn’t shy about responding to such accusations and said back “what you talking about? Bloodline won the belt fair and square”.
Blacklist upset Titan Attack to become new Tag Team champions. A singles run awaits Scion Nexus but that is on hold until Titan Attack drops the belts whereupon Titan Honor will be the new tag team. Everyone hopes they last a little longer as the champs and keep Cordanus away from the belts. Naturally Mensar does all the work. He really is quite something as he deals with some early offence from the Titans quite easily and then explodes into action. A wave of offence that has Ursa Major reeling. The match is only a few minutes old when Cordanus senses a big opportunity and orders Mensar to tag him in. Mensar takes advantage of the 5 second rule (which seemed more like 10) and stays in the ring. Cordanus then uses TOTAL MASTERY which is just Mensar using WRECKING MACHINE on his behalf. The first time Scion Nexus exercises his right to attempt a pin save and it does the job. After a short brawl Scion is ordered back to his corner. As this happens Cordanus does the finish routine again. This time Scion cannot get to Ursa Major as Mensar side slams him. Cordanus urges the ref to come and count which he reluctantly does. The match was over and we all had to endure the sight of Cordanus with one half of the tag belts. That was bad and it could get worse as his team might be about to get hands on the Heavyweight belt next in the main event.
Ladies champ, Anaxis, easily beats Maxine Babe by count-out. This was the only title that Cordanus hasn’t engineered the top contender because he already inherited it. Quite an easy test on paper considering some of the women Anaxis could potentially of faced. Although it must be said Maxine is the top contender by right after a couple of surprisingly dominant wins back in Centra before the return. Anaxis doesn’t have any problems though. Dominating immediately and never letting up with her aggression. After being forcefully thrown through the ropes by her hair Maxine Bade decides enough is enough and takes a walk. She is heard saying “it’s just not worth it” and gets counted-out. Of course that raises questions that Cordanus had put pressure on her to do so with the promise of some reward. She denies this and says “it’s not worth the risk of tarnishing my beautiful body and looks even for a belt, it was all my decision”.
Max Shield wins against Genocide in a bloody Barbed Wire Cosmic Cage match. No teasing this. Straight in there with this highly anticipated feud. Anyone squeamish might want to look away now. Although if they got through the past 3 matches then they might just be okay. The match was punctuated with both guys smashing each other into the barbed sides which drew blood very early. Max has been accused of not having the stomach for a fight at times. Tonight though it’s very different as he puts on a showing that finally suggests years of underachievement might soon be at an end. Not many can hang with Genocide. Especially in a special environment. Max manages to do that and ends up winning after a Shield Shoulderbreaker topples Genocide causing him to fall backwards into the the cage sides. Shreds his back something rotten. Max then drags Genocide’s huge frame into the centre of the ring and pins him. Maybe Max should have been happier at the outcome but he derives little satisfaction seeing his old friend in this state (Genocide will now be injured for 3 cards).
Mandrill destroys Thunder in a Four Weapons of Destruction match. The battle for leadership of the villain team swings into action fast with the second meeting of the night between Gladiators and Colonizers. There’s also a lot on the line as the winner would have a very strong case for getting a shot at the Heavyweight belt. The four weapons add a dangerous twist. It was shockingly one sided though as Mandrill wins without Thunder getting a single offensive move in. So often in these matches wrestlers fall well behind due to the way fatigue tokens can clock up fast. However usually we get big comebacks due to the frequent consultation of the weapons chart. Mandrill was just relentless with his finisher and exemplary at combining the weapons such as using the stun rod to push Thunder into the turnbuckle that delivers the electric shocks. With Thunder barely able to stand Mandrill chooses to finish with his COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Thunder stays down at his feet and the ten count is reached. Mandrill arrogantly announces “this villain leadership battle will be easier than I thought”. Of course he knows deep down it won’t be. This was a freaky result. Thunder was so poor it made everyone wonder if he might have been drugged in some way before it (Thunder will be injured for the next 2 cards). Vyper overcomes Dark Justice in a Torture Chamber match. Unfinished business from end of last year after Vyper and Justice brawled violently in the aftermath of Krakan’s hideous shooting attack on the Terrorists. It would of been hardcore even without the Torture Chamber setting. Injuries would be an inevitability which might not be ideal for Vyper considering he was already carrying a minor one courtesy of Anarchy and Blazing Skill three weeks ago. In these enclosed matches sometimes the officials remove weapons that notorious wrestlers rely on and sometimes they don’t. On this occasion Justice has his Rod of Justice confiscated. This match would be brutal enough without that. Justice begins strong and a Judicial Forearm does a surprising amount of damage. He couldn’t keep control for too long though. This match type always has swings. Vyper makes better use of the titanium sides and surges back. He looks close to victory when we get yet another swing and Justice having used SHOCK PROBATION was now looking the likely winner. If he could only use his finisher one more time it would surely be enough. Strangely he doesn’t do it. Instead choosing to throw a punch which Vyper ducks. Justice strikes the side and clutches his fist which might well of been broken. Vyper then uses his finishers of THE LEVIATHAN and VYPER’S SIDESHOW one after the other to break Justice’s will (Justice badly injured 6 cards).
Malice and Overkill overcome Rebel Empire in a Titan Death match. Massive meeting. Two supposedly juggernaut teams but guilty of underachieving. Malice and Overkill have already suffered another embarrassing slip up since being back. That might actually make them more dangerous here as they aim to bounce back immediately. It’s not really a very exciting match to roll. Several minutes of nothing with both teams unable climb the rungs on the offensive levels. When it did spring into life it was because Nefarus caught Malice with a spinning back kick and after a failed pin attempt he tried a deathjump. He underestimated how hurt Malice was and got thrown off the turnbuckle. FIELDS OF MALICE comes next which Nefarus survives only to have Overkill then come straight in and squash him with TURNBUCKLE TRAP. Vendetta either failed to see the threat or was daydreaming as he didn’t make any attempt to break it up. Soon to regret it as Overkill is able to pin Nefarus after it.
Pegasus shows he’s not finished yet as he handles Wolf. Frustratingly Wolf is being made to wait before he can get his claws on Mensar (or any of the Takeover team). Pegasus provides the opposition instead. He wasn’t afraid to face Wolf as he goes after as many big fish as possible to force his way back into the Heavyweight title picture. Most of the fans in this dimension are now well aware of how Pegasus fared on Centra and how he isn’t the same wrestler he was when he left. The good thing was that Wolf’s popularity hasn’t suffered despite his villainous run with the Brymstone Burning team last year. He is totally forgiven and being opposed to Cordanus will make him an instant hero. Even here on Mensa as Cordanus isn’t really liked anywhere. Those fans have been deprived too. The vendetta is purely a personal one. As we understand it Wolf will not be making a habit of having Avenging Warrior accompany him as he is still a loner at heart. On this occasion he allows it because it’s a big event and solidifies their union. Reynard B. Guile wasn’t too happy to see him and almost sh*ts himself as that crowbar (still to be used) gets waved around. Despite the intimidation he would have been extremely pleased that Pegasus showed he still might have what it takes to be a major player. He puts the nightmare run on Centra behind him and beats Wolf. Pretty quickly too. The main thing that put Wolf on the back foot was launching himself at Pegasus and missing which caused a hefty collision with the turnbuckle. He got a bit of the post too. Pegasus uses his experience and knew he had to act fast before Wolf could mount one of his legendary comebacks. He goes for PROJECT PEGASUS and it abruptly ends the match. Avenging Warrior didn’t storm in. Maybe it was Wolf”s wish or it just caught Warrior flat footed. He doesn’t hide his annoyance though and smashes his crowbar into the nearest ring post. Pegasus and B. Guile are smart enough to vacate the ring area asap. This was not the time to flaunt a win. Pegasus doesn’t hold back on social media though using Spacebook to describe his win “you’ve just got to know how to handle an animal” and then using Flutter to suggest Cordanus gives him a shot at the Heavyweight belt accompanied with a photo slideshow of his times holding it in the past. The accompanying music … Simply The Best.
The Ravagers go over SWAT Team. Jump starting the feud between the ROC and Murdok’s World in this dimension and it’s an interesting reaction to both these teams. Many of the fans are fully up to speed with all the events on Centra. They give the SWAT Team quite a barracking for being traitors. At the same time they are not exactly behind the Ravagers. Quite wary of them especially Rankor. Match was decent enough. Action went back and forth until Rankor managed to get some sustained control against Trench which led into RAVAGER FACE DROP which was the match winning move.
Skinhead defeated Maelstrom by DQ. Maelstrom is revelling in his big new role as the ‘Human Exterminator’. Feeling liberated to be away from US. Traitor who he never really liked or trusted. Skinhead is keen not to become his first branding victim. He fights very hard to avoid such a fate. Deserving more than the DQ win that he got in the end. It’s just that the managers were a real pain in the arse in this match with all the interfering. Skinhead smashed Maelstrom three times with BRASS NUCKS in all with Mangus spoiling any thoughts of trying for a pin after two of those. The ref ended up ejecting Mangus which did improve things although Johnny Rocket then made same nuisance of himself after Maelstrom had struck with BRAND OF CYGNUS during his strongest period in the match. That was probably the catalyst for the eventual outcome as Maelstrom got angrier and thought f*ck it and took things outside so he could start using chairs. An American flag being waved by a fan a few rows back also hadn’t helped his mood.
Amazon Brawlers overcome the Hellions. Big cheer for Lorelei as she finally steps into the ring. She’s been training for a long time to be ready and it shows. Not out of place here it all. Even though it’s Amazonia who wins the match after RUNNING SABRE on Serpentine she more than played her part.
Wraith easily beats Dreadnaught by count-out. Dreadnaught still chugging along. At least he’s been spared of those tasteless Coffin matches. For now at least. Sadly he stood very little chance here. His eyesight is just one of many parts of his body failing him. What with Wraith now being harder to see than ever it made it virtually impossible for Dreadnaught. When struck with an Invisible Death Dive Dreadnaught reacted by rolling under the rope and just laying there where was he counted out. It took him a few minutes to get up again. Officials tried to assist but everytime he got up kept complaining of dizziness and laying back down again.

CARD 1204 – MEIZNER STADIUM: Next Generation upset Twin Blood in a match refereed by Massif. Whilst Bloodline and Encubus mainly have designs on holding singles belts they could quite easily capture the tag belts too with what amounts to a superstar team they’ve named as New Generation. They go after one of the best straight away in the form of Twin Blood. Plenty of heat added after what happened at MENSA PERENNIAL. Twin Blood were wanting revenge for their friend Paragon. For the first time in a while good old Massif dons the refereeing togs after being the green light by Cordanus to carry on in the role. Maybe Cordanus thinks Massif can be influenced. It’s happened before back in 2104 after all. There’s quickly no suggestion of that being an issue here though as Massif swats away an attempt by Thantos to talk to him. Even going so far as to shush him with his finger. So after all the faffing about the match got underway. I decided not to afford Next Generation the mechanic of defensive tags working on rolls of 6 or under yet. Instead it would work on 4 or below. I figure they need a match or two more to develop that understanding. That said they looked very smooth and in sync. Things coming to a surprisingly early end without any flashpoints. It was probably one of the easiest refereeing gigs Massif has ever had. The finish came about as Dreggs was trying to step it up a gear against Encubus. He threw him into the turnbuckle and tried to follow up with a shoulder charge. Encubus showed quick thinking to bounce off with a countering lariat. Dreggs almost somersaulted in the air as a result. Encubus then waits for him to slowly get up and introduces us to his main finisher SECOND COMING. It’s an athletic looking drop kick back into the turnbuckle followed by a bulldog. Dreggs partner Sleeze underestimates its potency as he doesn’t try a pin save. Knowing that Massif clamps down on such things more and deciding to save the one and only available pin save until later on. It’s a bad decision as Encubus covers and Dreggs is too stunned to kick out in time. Shock resonates through the venue. In the space of one month Takeover has taken possession of the two major belts and now Next Generation has beaten arguably the best tag team of all time with alarming ease. Johnny Rocket, who has suffered the most at the hands of Takeover this month, later tried to play down the achievement of Next Generation by saying “freak results sometimes happen in wrestling. They just caught us on a bad night. Normal service will be resumed soon”. In the normal scheme of things this result would create a lot of news but it has been somewhat overshadowed in all the GWF broadcasts by the title winning victories of both Bloodline and Takeover. Makes you wonder how Thantos actually really feels. Blood is thicker than water and he would want his son to be the star. Yet after this first month he’s the only member of Takeover without a belt around his waist. Plus Encubus got the winning fall here and the achievement has been underplayed.
Corporal Aegis crushed Murdok. The war from Centra arrives into the known dimension. Murdok has had slightly the upper hand but Aegis is confident things are changing. Especially after recently beating Terminus and seeing not only the Ravagers best the SWAT Team at MENSA PERENNIAL but also Max Shield downing Genocide. As in the press conferences Murdok strides to the ring like he is a king. Even his vacant eyes managed to give a look of contempt for all the fans. He takes the mic and addresses them as soon to become slaves. The boos of the crowd suddenly turn to cheers as Aegis piles into Murdok sending the mic flying. Murdok almost loses in less than a minute after CORPORAL PUNISHMENT twice. Before the second minute is up he almost falls victim to it again but instead he falls out of the ring after the Opening Salvo. Murdok cannot get to grips with the explosive offence of Aegis. A brief comeback is hinted after Murdok throws Aegis down from the top rope after he’d attempted a death jump. It’s only brief though as Aegis counters the very next move and takes control again. A second comeback is again snuffed out quickly as Aegis is tossed outside but manages to then bodyslam Murdok down onto the hard ground. When Murdok eventually ambles back into the ring Aegis floors him with a lethal jump kick and gets the pin. Grovel, who is acting as Murdok’s bodyguard, was useless. Just snarled away whilst watching his master get beaten on but not actually doing anything. With this win the ROC has taken total command of their feud with Murdok’s World even at this early juncture.
Euritar tames Wolf. First duties as a part time member of Takeover for Euritar. He probably wouldn’t of been too enthusiastic about having to face Wolf from the Avenging Warriors and preferred to of been up against Enigma or Prodigy or getting his teeth into one of the Rocketmen. Secretly he’s been assured by Cordanus that the Hitmen will help him out if needs be. It’s a similar vibe for Wolf who would rather be getting stuck into Mensar, Bloodline or Encubus. Cordanus is absent from ringside though. Preferring not to be around Avenging Warrior if he can help it yet. As mentioned previously Avenging Warrior will not often accompany Wolf as he respects his desire to be alone but in this opening month of 2112 he is doing so. Reynard B. Guile isn’t there either after it was strongly suggested to him that he is not Euritar’s manager when representing the Takeover team. Given all his history with Wolf it’s fair to say B. Guile is probably not too fussed. The match itself is a classic and bloody affair. Both had 5 tokens by the end. We see exactly what Avenging Warrior is capable of during it as he attacked Euritar with the crowbar. Remarkably he got away with it but what is even more remarkable is the way Euritar took it. He kicked out of the resulting pin and was soon back on his offence. Avenging Warrior was involved again later as Wolf was probably about to be beaten with HEADS WILL ROLL. Euritar was frustrated and showed no fear as he then grappled with Avenging Warrior and almost got counted out in the process. It sounds like Euritar had all the main offence. That wasn’t the case though as Wolf had many pin attempts. Problem was he never got his SAVAGE FACE CLAW on. One application of that would have spelt doom for Euritar. It was probably Euritar’s exceptional agility that kept him away from it most of the time. In fact it was his exceptional agility that led to victory. Both guys were heavily fatigued after about 15 minutes frantic action when Euritar launched himself at Wolf with a flying body press and hooked the leg. Wolf couldn’t respond and Avenging Warrior didn’t dare storm in knowing he’d exhausted all his lives with the ref. It would have been a DQ for sure and Avenging Warrior wanted the win even though this move made it look unlikely. The ref slid in and made the pin count in favour of Euritar. With this win it’s very obvious why Cordanus was so desperate to have Euritar on his team part time. Am sure he’ll be pushing to get him as a permanent member before long. If that happens I wonder if there is much B. Guile (or Euritar for that matter) will be able to do about it? Mercifully there were no shots taken by the Hitmen. That will happen at some point for certain. I’m reliably informed there was a plan in place to use them had Wolf got his finishing claw locked on.
Mensar steamrolled Sir Ender. Forgetting that he actually started in 2109 GWF Sir Ender reintroduces himself to the known dimension. Cordanus and Mensar let him have the stage. Sir Ender says “hello GWF fans. Let me introduce myself as Sir Ender. I can tell you my life is brimming with tales of bravery. That is why I received a knighthood from my homeland Volans at such an early age. Now I am in the GWF I serve notice that I intend to resurrect the Royal Court. Blah, blah, blah”. A kid in the front row gets a fit of the giggles during it which irritates Sir Ender. Before he can admonish the youngster Mensar cuts him off and hurls him backwards towards a turnbuckle. Sir Ender’s performance in the ring dispels the myth about how valiant he is. First act is to beg off as Mensar comes towards him. He soon gets grabbed and knocked about the ring. However he does give Mensar a couple of embarrassing moments. The first was when he was whipped into the ropes and actually managed to stop himself on the rebound and deliver a clumsy piledriver on Mensar who was waiting to do a backdrop. Sir Ender blew the unexpected advantage immediately by missing a deathjump. Then not long after Sir Ender survived WRECKING MACHINE. Probably not consciously as he crashed into the mat and as Mensar turned him over for the pin one of Sir Ender’s feet was just touching the ring rope. Naturally he paid for that as Mensar unleashes more punishment and finally finishes things off with a deathjump of his own. Cannoning into Sir Ender with tremendous force.
Talisman overcomes Mike Fortune. This was billed as Mike Fortune against a mystery opponent. This led to rumours that it could be a new Titan ready to grace our screens due the opposition being a member of the Hitmen. There is shock (and maybe a little bit of disappointment) as Talisman is introduced. He’s not been heard from in a long time. Strangely he is wearing a brightly coloured title belt with TWL emblazoned on it. After entering the ring he takes the floating mic and addresses the crowd “I have returned to the GWF. All my fans and followers need not worry about where I have been. Just know that this belt I hold before you is symbolic of the true way of life I have been following”. WTF? He didn’t get a good reaction as some of the crowd started heckling him. As he turned to them open armed and shouted “why?” he was then met with a furious offence from Mike Fortune. Not looking like a happy return to the GWF as he was dominated. Fortune tried to end it quickly with THE HANGMAN. However we’d all forgotten how Talisman always had good endurance and was managing to hang on in there. Slowly Fortune ran out of ideas and Talisman began to control it. Managing to keep his bigger and stronger opponent off balance before smashing down onto him with AMULET DROP. It didn’t look it would do enough to damage to get the pin but it did. Talisman then collected his belt and had another go at connecting with the fans with some weird ramblings. Nobody was interested which caused him to strop and storm off.
Velar and Terminus over Ms. Liberty and US. Male by DQ in mixed tag action. Even though Commando Sam and Mangus are already accompanying their respective teams and creating a hostile atmosphere American Guy also comes out. He is the sort of guy who can’t stay quietly in the background. He refuses to leave ringside and the ref is quite weak. Eventually giving up and allowing it. American Guy is in the mould of Sam and was spouting too much anti alien stuff and gets ticked off when some fans object. He shouts at a woman “Sam gives us freedom to express ourselves. I’m doing nothing wrong”. The guy could seriously do with mellowing a bit but when you got Sam as a manager/mentor that’s going to be tough. Mangus looked a bit bemused that the fans seemed to be with him and his team. It was probably 60-40 in their favour. After a while he starts to enjoy it as he sees how much it winds Sam up. When the match begins the females don’t get much of a look in. It’s mainly Terminus and US. Male beating the sh*t out of each other. It soon becomes more clear why American Guy was out there. US. Male is a one dimensional tag wrestler and needed him to help pull off some moves. Eventually with the two men cancelling each other out the females start to see more ring action. Velar finds the ageing Ms. Liberty easy to dominate at first only to see a sudden turnaround that briefly worries her. After evading a pin attempt Velar got her composure back and managed to execute a Velar Vertical Suplex. American Guy reaches into the ring and pulls Ms. Liberty outside. This is where having all those bodies outside was never going to help the FDF duo. Arguing erupted and American Guy took Sam’s flag off him and tries to choke out Terminus who was trying to stop him helping out. Before long we had a big brawl to the back with women fighting women and men fighting men. Even the managers were involved. The FDF had the numerical advantage and seemed to be winning the brawl at the time it went through the curtain and out of sight. Back in the ring the announcer gave the referees decision as a DQ win in favour of Terminus and Velar. He’d pinned the blame for all this on American Guy.
