As seen this month the existing top contenders to the belts from Centra were totally ignored as Cordanus gave his team immediate title shots. He was met with incredible success as Bloodline managed to grab the big one by beating a lethargic Paragon who was apparently hamstrung by fear of being shot by the Hitmen. He knows only too well what happened to the Terrorists and even thought he could die out there. Before that happened Blacklist nabbed the tag belts from Titan Attack after a devastating performance from Mensar which Cordanus took all the credit for as he was the one who pinned Ursa Major. The only one that came up short was Encubus but he’ll get another crack at the IP belt next month. Means Takeover already has 3 out of the 4 belts in its possession. For sure Cordanus will try and stack things in his teams favour again and again. It is likely they will dominate the titles until Cordanus is deposed as commissioner. At least for the next month a more realistic set of top contenders has been established apart from Encubus who gets another stab at Archon. Purely because Cordanus will have to pick them from outside of his team.

Talisman has returned to the GWF part-time. He is calling himself independent and brings with him a belt from an underground organisation that went belly up during the ban. He has doctored the design and renamed it to the TWL title which stands for the ‘True Way of Life’ and gives a few hints as to where he’s been hiding out all this time. At first the GWF refused to recognise it but now Cordanus realises it is irritating many of the wrestling traditionalists he has sanctioned it. Talisman even defended it on a couple of dark shows. Apparently one of those he lost but the opponent (not known) actually refused to accept the belt as it was too weird. Now Talisman has been ordered by Cordanus to defend it on TV next month against Mensar to try and give it credibility.

Out of retirement matches are now going to be an occasional possibility. We had one in Centra as Sam and Thantos wrestled. Now we have Killer Queen challenging Sir Ender to shut the undercarder up. Sir Ender is going around claiming he will reform the legendary Royal Court and make it better than before. Of course nobody wants to join this loser and Queenie doesn’t want this legendary group associated with this bumbling idiot.
 
Very busy month for newcomer Mensar as he is honing his skills in early singles matches against what Cordanus arrogantly refers to as jobbers. That was certainly true of Sir Ender and Antak but the Soulwatcher won’t have been too pleased to hear that. In any event he destroyed them all and looks extremely capable of delivering the gold that Cordanus craves. At the moment the target is the tag belts but it’s only a matter of time before the Heavyweight belt becomes the focus. With Cordanus pushing him it’s almost inevitable.

All the big feuds have started hot. Particularly between the new look Centaurians and Brymstone Burning Already every bit as hardcore as we imagined. Anarchy and Blazing Skull brutally attacking and injuring Vyper to set a marker. They didn’t care one bit that it left them suspended for the rest of the month. It’s probably not what the GWF needed though to have such a bloody incident in the very first card back.

The Gladiators have not had a happy homecoming. Already playing catch up in their villain leadership battle with the Colonizers after Mandrill blew Thunder away in their first meeting. Malice and Overkill weren’t much better as they slumped to a bad loss against Blade and Rising Sun who had never even been a team before. At least they recovered from that setback to beat Rebel Empire to salvage something from the month. Vengeance has already commented back on Aethra that they all need time to adjust to being back in Dimension K. What he says and what he thinks are two different things though. They will be hauled back for punishment if it continues like this. Plus we might just see Vengeance back in the GWF sooner than expected.

Probably the most one-sided feud even at this very early stage is the ROC against Murdok’s World. Murdok’s team have looked like lost puppies in this dimension as they all suffered losses against all the key members of the ROC team. Corporal Aegis was the inspiration behind it all. He and Max look about ready to move up a level. In fact Max will have that opportunity immediately. His hot form has elevated him into the top contender spot for the Heavyweight belt. Can he finally win it after over a decade of trying?
 
Everyone has been shocked after now being fully filled in on the events of the last 2 years in Centra. Some have even already binge watched the entire video library that has been brought back. The stories of Massacre’s murder, Murdok and the Ravagers and supposed plague are of the most interest. A loud cheer went up when it was learned that Twin Blood smashed the longest tag reign in history record. Then a groan when hearing about how Pegasus and Wolf both headed over to the villain side. Except luckily Wolf is back among the heroes now and taking the fight to the hated Takeover team as part of the Avenging Warriors. It’s amazing to think his last union with Star Warrior (or Avenging Warrior to be accurate) was way back in 2091. Everyone hopes he will be able to get his claws into the Takeover team very soon. Maybe as soon as next month as Avenging Warrior wants to test the confidence Cordanus and Thantos have by challenging the entire team to an Aethran Ultimate Escape match. Cordanus refuses to answer so far and just says any match considerations are done in the best interests of the GWF and the fans. It might get booked or it might not.

WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
 
MENSAR -  wondering if Cordanus has also got his hooks into GWI magazine who give these awards. Mensar was impressive with several victories but he didn’t really wrestle anyone of too much calibre. Special mentions must go to all members of the ROC team as they enjoyed an incredible month of dominating wins over Murdok’s World.

TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
 
LIGHT SPEED - would have been Blacklist if not for the rule no single person can win both monthly awards. Instead Light Speed get it purely for the excitement and hype they are generating rather than actual wins.

Card 1201 – Achernar Technodrome:
 
1. Tocsin over Grovel by DQ (outside brawling led to Grovel trying to bite an official)
2. Sniper gunned down Taechon (close match ended by TARGET PRACTICE)
3. Mensar obliterated Antak (running elbow spear. Two minute SQUASH)
4. Off The Wall easily beat Transformer (Mad Dash Clothesline on Nth Degree)
5. Stars and Stripes grind out a win over Society of Death (winning debut after PATRIOT MISSILE on Splatter)
6. Anarchy battered Vyper (deathjump to win and then a brutal attack as Blazing Skull joins him to leave Vyper injured)

Card 1202 – Deimos Intergalactic Arena:

1. Supernova over Thrash by DQ (Supernova got bullied but escaped with the win after Thrash pulled up mats outside and tried a Gladiator Piledriver onto the exposed concrete)
2. Light Speed live up to their billing and easily beat Animen Invasion (Prodigy gets Son of Ram with THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER)
3. Mensar wins against the Soulwatcher by count-out (powerfully clotheslines the Soulwatcher over the top rope)
4. Blade and Rising Sun upset Malice and Overkill (Blade catches Malice out with a Spring Huracanrana)
5. Corporal Aegis in brilliant form to beat Terminus in a Cosmic Cage match (CORPORAL PUNISHMENT allows Aegis to escape in style by going over the top)
6. INTERPLANETARY TITLE MATCH - Encubus defeated Archon by DQ but fails to win the belt (Commando Sam attacked Encubus when he was outside the ring in retaliation to Thantos interfering earlier)

Card 1203 – MENSA PERENNIAL – Mensa Galaxy Dome:
 
1. Wraith easily beats Dreadnaught by count-out (Dreadnaught falls out the ring after an Invisible Death Dive)
2. Amazon Brawlers overcome the Hellions (Amazonia pins Serpentine after RUNNING SABRE)
3. Skinhead defeated Maelstrom by DQ (very good match although the managers were a pain in the arse, only got better once Mangus was ejected)
4. The Ravagers go over SWAT Team (RAVAGER FACE DROP on Trench)
5. Pegasus handles Wolf (a hint that Pegasus might not be ready to merge into the background just yet with a major win. PROJECT PEGASUS did the damage)
6. Malice and Overkill beat Rebel Empire in a Titan Death match (TURNBUCKLE TRAP on Nefarus)
7. Vyper defeated Dark Justice in a Torture Chamber match (close match but the injured Vyper triumphed after VYPER’S SIDESHOW)
8. Mandrill destroyed Thunder in a Four Weapons of Destruction match (total domination as Thunder did not get one offensive move in, COLONIZER CLAW SLAM is the move that keeps him down for a count of ten. SQUASH)
9. Max Shield defeated Genocide in a Barbed Wire Cosmic Cage match (extremely bloody affair which Max wins after a Shield Shoulderbreaker)
10. LADIES TITLE MATCH - Anaxis beats Maxine Babe by count-out (Maxine takes a walk after getting beaten on too much)
11. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Blacklist upsets Titan Attack to grab the tag belts (nightmare scenario as Cordanus gets immediate personal glory. He takes all the credit as he pins Ursa Major after TOTAL MASTERY)
12. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - Bloodline makes Paragon submit to win the belt (CETUS MASTERLOCK which gets kept on even after the bell. All ends with an ugly scene where members of both teams have a stand off with weapons)
 
Card 1204 – Meizner Stadium:
 
1. Terminus and Velar over US. Male and Ms. Liberty by DQ in mixed tag action (too many cooks outside and American Guy eventually triggers a wild brawl)
2. Talisman returns to beat Mike Fortune (AMULET DROP)
3. Mensar steamrolls Sir Ender (deathjump/cross body block)
4. Euritar wins a classic over Wolf (Euritar shows just why Cordanus was so desperate to have him as he tames Wolf with a flying body press)
5. Corporal Aegis crushed Murdok (lethal jump kick)
6. Next Generation beat Twin Blood in a match refereed by Massif (win with surprising ease after Encubus caught Dreggs with SECOND COMING)

FED FLASHBACK

EPISODE 18 – LEGENDARY OLD VILLAINS ERUPT (LOVE) – PHOBOS SUNDOME:
 
To celebrate the return of the GWF let’s dig into the dark match archives again. It’s 2096 and a strange acronym of LOVE is given to the episode. It centres around the main event of Thantos against Krakan. Arguably the two biggest villains of the immediate post code era. They initially shared a power struggle in 2087 which Thantos won and then shared a brief alliance (remember the Unholy Alliance and Warmongers?) but in the main they just coexisted. Now it was time to meet again as legendary old villains erupt!
 
Krakan defeated Thantos by DQ in a match that proved nothing. What a match. As arguably the two foremost villains of late 2080s/early 2090s they always had an uneasy alliance. The minute Thantos made his shock return to the hero side Krakan challenged him. Thantos was more than happy to oblige as he always disliked Krakan. Shame it was off camera (until now). Krakan was winding down his wrestling so he wanted it to take place on a dark show. The fans had immediately taken Thantos to their hearts and gave him a massive pop as he trooped out for the match. He looked very serious but did stop a couple times to acknowledge them. This was a match he badly wanted to win. Only problem was he was still injured from the brutal attack on him at the press conferences by the Matador and Chaos. Sadly the meeting ended up proving nothing and showed that two legends against each other isn’t always the recipe for a great match. Thantos did try to wrestle a bit initially. Although it was obvious Krakan just wanted to brawl. He was also trying to grab Thantos is plenty of headlocks to exacerbate the neck injury. Thantos held on through these and managed to nail Krakan with a DDT. A high impact move that might be able to give him a chance to move towards the MASTERLOCK. Krakan was groggy and rolled under the ropes to get some respite and break the momentum. That proved a frustration for Thantos. Maybe if he’d been used to being a hero he might of held back. Instead Thantos joins Krakan outside. Krakan backs off until he reaches his huge replica gun. Thantos fears he might try and use it against him so grabs the nearest weapon which is a chair. Always lots of these dotted around a ringside area. Charges at Krakan with it and putting him on the deck. It was a case of strike first for his own safety. Sadly Thantos paid the pride with a disqualification. He didn’t seem to mind though. Seeing Krakan down left him with satisfaction and Thantos felt he’d still proven his superiority even in defeat.

Fury humiliates Vengeance in less than a minute. The early days of Vengeance. Nobody could have expected what a prominent player he would become and certainly not that this was the future minister of war. He faced the unpredictable Fury here. Even though Fury was liberated about a year earlier by the WAR team he always had a chip on his shoulder. Never able to relax or cope with his freedom. However this might just of been his greatest moment as a WAR member. Too bad for him that it was in a half full venue and lost to the archives for all this time. He just exploded with rage on sight of Vengeance. After using a Screaming Skullraker he pressed Vengeance into the mat with FACE REMOVER. Vengeance could not push up to relieve pressure and ended up getting his face paint taken off by the friction. Suffice to say he had lost the match but the greater humiliation was losing the face paint. Oh and the fact this was just the third move of the match. Yes that’s right Fury had beaten Vengeance in less than a minute. For all Fury’s faults, as he said a lot of stuff, he didn’t even mention this on live TV. Maybe he secretly feared there might be ramifications further down the road. Or maybe being a mere dark show he understood how insignificant this might be seen to be.

Dreadnaught over Wolf by DQ. You can never get enough Wolf matches. Even ones that took place over 15 years ago. Seems kind of sad to watch Dreadnaught coming out to face him. Looking so strong and confident. No idea that in a little over 10 years time he will be a shell of his former self as the effects of the Transevolver come back to haunt him. Anyway such thoughts were far from his mind for this. The Galactic Rebels had just lost their SUDDEN DEATH feud to the Animen and Dreadnaught had made sure to let everyone know in the press conferences that he was far from accountable. Probably true. Such claims well backed up by how he goes about business here. It takes a lot to dominate someone like Wolf. Though that’s what he did after dodging a turnbuckle charge and taking control after that. After a relentless bombardment culminating in Heavy Artillery Wolf sees fit to try and get back into the match by rolling outside the ring. He figures he can outbrawl just about anyone. Dreadnaught was more than willing to follow and they start to exchange blows. The fans in the first row are thrilled to be getting such action right under their noses. Trouble is Wolf sometimes goes too far. The temptation to bodyslam Dreadnaught onto the middle of the ring steps was too much and it draws the ire of the ref who disqualified him. Wolf angrily reacts to the verdict by howling and running off. He sent Doomsayer in his hovering chair flying in the process.
 
Dragonmaster beats Vanity in a flash. Maybe the LOVE theme is now more appropriate. Vanity considers himself to be the ultimate lover. He was technically banished but it was a dark show, booked before the banishments were announced and right at the start of the year where they hadn’t officially begun. Dragonmaster was just about to start a singles run after a few years teaming with Pulsar Prime in the very succesful Titan Express. Still to this day the most succesful Titan tag team of all time. DM looked very unimpressed with the three super models Vanity had with him. Vanity offered to loan him one for the evening if DM would forfeit the match. DM fakes an agreeing handshake and turns it into a chop across the face. At this point the bell sounds and just two moves later DM has won the match. Using a Cobra Nerve Stopper to win. Vanity may of lost big but he was still full of self confidence. Blowing kisses to pretty female fans as he departed ready to start his banishment period. There was little doubt he’d be back.

Jungle Fever beat Flesh and Bones by DQ decision. Stalker and Terak were never going to win any titles but they were a fun team that was popular with the fans. Here they faced feud rivals in the form of the dangerous Flesh and Bones tag team comprising the crazed Cannibal and the spooky Death’s Head. Terak was hoping that Savage Kingdom can bounce back from what happened at the end of 2095 to Sectarian and losing the overall feud. With Stalker on board it gave them a chance. Terak certainly looked galvanised by Stalker. He gave a great showing and had Cannibal in all sorts of trouble. Looking like Jungle Fever might win by pin fall. Unfortunately although they did win it was by DQ. Cannibal managed to make a comeback against Terak and immediately went for the vile THROAT SLIT. The eagle eyed ref spotted the thread and disqualified Cannibal. Then Stalker caused a cheer as he cleared the ring of Cannibal and Death’s Head after it looked like Terak was not going to be released despite the bell and match verdict.

Dark Side embarrassed Titan Power. Lord Nexus has always acknowledged that Titan Power underachieved massively back in the day. However he never regrets a minute of it. Billy Jo Boxer was and still is the best friend he ever had. They still had many great moments in the GWF in their time and backed down from nobody. This was a case example as they faced the newly formed and deeply unpopular Dark Side. Mesmer was at the beginning of his notorious villain run having been a beloved hero for years. His partner was the equally notorious Bishop Hell. A very dark and evil team indeed. The Titans hoped their experience as a team would see them okay. Sadly it was a match Lord Nexus has been hoping to forget. Just 3 moves in and Billy Jo Boxer misses a deathjump against Mesmer consigning Titan Power to defeat. Shortly after this fed flashback episode aired Lord Nexus went online to Spacebook and commented “I must of wrestled hundreds if not thousands of matches in my career but I’ll never forget that one. I was shocked. Just one of those things that can happen in wrestling. Regardless of what happened I like to think things turned out much better for Titan Power over Dark Side in the long run. Bishop Hell is rotting in the CPC I think and Mesmer is missing, presumed dead. It just shows fighting on right side of good and evil will always prosper”.

CARD 1205 – CAPELLA STAR GARDENS:
 
Cordanus may not have any male Takeover wrestlers on the bill but that doesn’t stop him making his presence felt. He is immediately spotted in a VIP section of the venue. He’s so full of his own self importance that he has a lackey beside him feeding him grapes. Some of the crowd makes their feelings known by throwing drinks and food up at him. Unfortunately he is behind reinforced glass and just gives a smug smile when that happens.
 
Supernova beats Anaxis to finally win the ladies belt again. The first chance for anyone on the Avenging Warriors to try and wrest a title away from Takeover. Although Cordanus and Thantos clearly don’t place great value on the ladies belt. Neither are at ringside. Avenging Warrior is and his movements are watched very carefully by Cordanus from the VIP area. Cordanus will need little excuse to suspend him and laying a finger on a woman will give the perfect excuse. In the end there were no flashpoints and everyone was on their best behaviour. Although Anaxis had the better of what proved to be a long match it was Supernova left standing at the end with the title. She rode out all of Anaxis’s offence and managed to catch her with a perfect cross body block to get the pin. Supernova looked thrilled. She’s shed a lot of tears in recent years. It was great to see her with a smile on her face and become champion after a drought of over 3 years. Onwards and upwards 🤞.

Light Speed get the better of Rebel Empire via count-out. Loads of excitement and hype for Light Speed. Their first major test as a duo comes against Rebel Empire. Match proves to be an exciting one with Enigma trying his high risk finisher but also having to survive EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT. There was even a dramatic spot where Avenging Warrior tried to attack Nefarus with his crowbar. Nefarus ducked and the crowbar went loose. Poor Enigma ended up being the one struck with it. The ref let it all go though. Ultimately Prodigy proved to the difference between the teams. Once he got on a longer run in the ring he just looked different class to the rest. Giving Nefarus the run around and picking him off with not only his finishers but all sorts of moves. Eventually he executes a beautiful drop kick that sends Nefarus tumbling through the ropes straight into where the annoying Rouser was standing. Nefarus failed to recover in time and got counted out.
 
American Guy over Ruin by DQ. Heart attack moment for American Guy as he saunters through the ring curtain and sees both Rack and Ruin standing in the ring. He rushes back through the curtain making everyone think he’s done a runner. Not so as after about 30 seconds returns with US. Male. With both partners present this was unlikely to end cleanly. Ruin had the better of it and could have won with RACKED AND RUINED if US. Male hadn’t intervened. Those early minutes the action stayed largely in the ring. However as things got more heated things spilled outside more and more. Ruin crosses the line first as gets Rack to try and hold American Guy so he can spear him with the Cygnus flag pole. US. Male gets involved to help his partner out and everyone brawls to the back. Could have put money on that happening.
 
Draconian Sheik wins a bloody battle with Blazing Skull. Getting ready for the feud between Unspeakable Horror and Deadly Sins to explode 💥. Surely this had very little chance of ending cleanly. Lorelei bravely led Drac out even though he is just as likely to attack her than he is Blazing. She had some kind of light device in her hand to help focus him. As a means of intimidation Blazing has created a ring of fire around himself as he stood waiting in the centre of the ring. Drac saw this and just ran through it to get at him. The fire was a hologramatic illusion and evaporated but Drac didn’t know that. The wild tempo was immediately set after this. Nothing held back from either one. Blazing managed to burn Drac with DEATH BY FIRE only for Lorelei to bravely cause a distraction. Blazing keeps up the pressure with BURNING TOUCH but Drac managed to force a release by biting his arm. Although Blazing was closer to victory with such moves Drac was also adding fatigue onto Blazing with his add 1 moves. Not for the first time Drac stabs Blazing with a sharp object. The final one was in the head and it caused Blazing to go down. After quick instruction from Lorelei Drac managed to cover Blazing to win. Lorelei jumps up in celebration only to suddenly be smashed from behind with a hard object. Assumptions would be it was either Anarchy or the Hellions. Unfortunately it was worse. It was Splatter. He’d hung around after the last match to select a lottery winner. Angry at how it went and wanting to blow off steam. For Drac it was probably a case of wrong time, wrong place. Splatter enters the ring and repeatedly bashes Drac with Arsenal. Goes without saying that injury was inflicted. I rolled for a suspension from Cordanus. Of course he’s biased for Splatter as he is a client of the Hitmen at the moment. No surprise that Splatter gets away with no punishment. It wasn’t good for Drac as key matches lie ahead and he is now hamstrung (Draconian Sheik injured 6 cards).

Titan Honor fortunate to beat Society of Death by DQ. The new Titan tag team gets going sooner than expected after Titan Attack lost the belts to Blacklist in an upset. Ursa Major is confident Blade can be every bit as good as Scion Nexus was as a partner. Hopefully the start of a new legendary Titan team. On the evidence of this though they need more time to click into gear. Struggled against a team they’d be expected to beat. Splatter was like a man possessed and gave both Titans a hell of a beating. He ended up smashing Blade twice with MEET ARSENAL. The second of which drew the DQ. The Titans had been fortunate to win their debut. They didn’t look much like winners. Blade actually had mild concussion after this and must’ve been wondering if putting him up against the Hitmen was any safer than being against Brymstone Burning. The phrase out of the frying pan and into the fire comes to mind.
 
Velar pinned Nora Pelf. Velar reminds everyone that she will be in the mix for the ladies belt. Just needs a few wins to get her ranking up. Nora tried her best and did muster some offence. She’s not on Velar’s level though. Survived in the match longer than she should after Johnny buys her some time and takes a bump after HAMMERLOCK SLAM. Velar actually ends up getting the pin through a reversal. Nora getting some moves going only to go for a turnbuckle charge and running into Velar’s boot.

CARD 1206 – CAPELLA STAR GARDENS:

Encubus easily beats Archon to claim the Interplanetary belt in a Titan Death match. A chance for Takeover to sweep the men’s belts if only for a short time. That’s a bleak scenario but a very real possibility. Encubus is totally undeserving of the rematch much less the title shot in the first place. However he showed he is very capable in his last match with Archon. His chances are boosted by the Titan Death stipulations applied. Cordanus justified it by saying it’s not good for the crowd if we have another DQ. The real reason was to keep Commando Sam out of this and give Encubus a slightly greater chance. Only problem is it meant Thantos would not be at ringside either. Encubus would now need to show he could, in the words of DM, “wipe his own arse”. He does way more than that as not only does he win the belt but also completely dominates the whole match. It was shocking to see Archon, one of the best wrestlers of the last year, so second best. Any hopes he might ride this out after surviving SECOND COMING twice faded as Encubus then wiped him out with a top rope clothesline just a few minutes in. The Prince of Darkness made such a casual cover with a demeaning foot across the chest of Archon. He didn’t even remove it as the ref completed the pin count. Choosing to accept his belt still stood on Archon. It was a strange sight. Almost like deja vu as his similarity to his father rekindled memories of Thantos standing inside a ring many times holding a belt aloft in one arm. Not sure even he went so far as demeaning his beaten opponents in such a way. Maybe he did. Was a long, long time ago. The saddest thing about all this is Takeover now has all three men’s belts. It’s taken little over a month to do it. If Anaxis hadn’t of dropped the ladies belt on the last show they’d of had the lot.
 
Blacklist toil to beat Animen Invasion in non-title match. Animen Invasion looking to put a bump in the road for Blacklist and at the same time make a name for themselves. They are not a popular duo (especially on Andromeda) but the crowd are behind them here. The truth is if they can try and isolate Cordanus even they have a chance of winning. Trouble is Cordanus only tags in when he feels the danger has passed. He feeds off Mensar’s crumbs. Blacklist don’t even wear their belts here. Cordanus says of this “no point, titles aren’t on the line and it keeps them safe and away from thieving hands”. Match turns out to be a long one. Mainly due to the insistence of Cordanus of being tagged in so he might have the chance to finish it and satisfy his deluded ego. Most of the time he lost the momentum which gave chances to the Animen to get some offence in on him. They fail to capitalise like a better team would though and Cordanus is able to scramble out for a tag every time. Eventually Blacklist were able to finish things off. Cordanus again insistent on being in the ring with Antak down and vulnerable. He finally gets his distraction right so TOTAL MASTERY can be used. Mensar having done his thing then smashes Son of Ram off the apron so Cordanus can pin Antak without any hinderance.
 
Malice and Overkill defeated Deadly Sins by DQ. The Gladiators cannot believe their luck. Drac is badly injured thanks to Splatter. For a while it was suggested that Vyper might have to go out alone and wrestle a handicap match. That would have been suicide though. Maybe Drac is too unintelligent to understand his pain sensors. He doesn’t hold back despite a very noticeable limp. Vyper tries to induce fear into the Gladiators by throwing a snake at them. It just hits Overkill and slides down his chest. He shows no emotion. The snake 🐍 slithers back towards Vyper who gathers it up. The poor ref was petrified at the snake and took plenty of convincing to get back in the ring. It’s at this point the wild Sheik cannot be held back any longer. He storms across the ring attacking both Gladiators before it settles into him against Malice. Despite the injuries Drac is more than holding his own and has a good battle. Vyper eventually convinces him to tag out and picks up the baton. He was already walking a tightrope with the ref for releasing the snake earlier. It didn’t take much for him to get disqualified and the ref goes down that route citing Vyper’s incessant brawling on the outside. It was frustrating as it deprived the fans of what was shaping up to be a good battle that could have gone either way. It may not of been a dominating win but things have improved for Malice and Overkill since Centra. Despite a surprise loss to Blade and Rising Sun a few weeks ago they’ve now won two on the spin including a huge victory over Rebel Empire.

Wolf crushed Nth Degree. Whilst Wolf waits to get hands on Mensar (or Next Generation) he keeps himself busy with another match. This time against the monstrous Nth Degree. Hoping for a better outcome than the ones he had last month against Euritar and Pegasus. Although he ends up working harder for the win than the opening minute suggested he manages to avoid another slip up. Taking advantage of Nth Degree’s clumsiness to get fully on top. When the time comes to apply SAVAGE FACE CLAW you could see Wolf sizing up what head to apply it too. In the end he adapts it and does it to both. Not sure if it double the pain for Nth Degree but he does crumble quite quickly. If Doomsayer was still on the fence about restoring Nth Degree into the Cosmic Forces via the Transevolver surely seeing another inept effort like this will help make his mind up.

Pegasus squashed Dreadnaught. If Pegasus is wanting to build on his last win against Wolf and be back among the elite then a match against the ailing Dreadnaught is not really the way to do it. I suppose all you can do is beat what’s put in front of you. Pegasus doesn’t string it out. Sees facing Dreadnaught as a chore and wants it done quickly. Managed to get it down in 7 moves with PROJECT PEGASUS. He then shouts to all the fans as well as sending Cordanus a message a familiar cry from his time on Centra “I’m still the GOAT, the Heavyweight should be around my waist”. The fact he has to keep reminding anyone makes him look insecure to be honest.

Scion Nexus easily polished off Rouser. Low key start to Scion’s singles push. His opponent Rouser likes to adapt his protest signs for the matches in question. The BAO he often used on Centra is now irrelevant. Today it displays BAIT to stand for ‘Ban All Imbecile Titans’. Scion never needs much motivating to beat an opponent and all that has done is make him even more motivated. As anyone would have expected he completely dominates Rouser. Takes his time doing it. Maybe prolonging it as punishment for the disrespectful sign. The move that brings it to a close is Scion’s Springboard. Obviously very hard to gauge Scion’s chances of making it as a singles wrestler based on this. He may not be strong enough to contend for the Heavyweight belt but perhaps can set his sights on the Interplanetary belt at some stage. His former partner, Ursa Major, managed it once a long, long time ago. Scion is generally recognised as the slightly better wrestler of the two so no reason why he can’t emulate him.

CARD 1207 – MENSA GALAXY DOME:
 
Sir Ender comedy sketch ahead of next week’s match with Killer Queen although he believes it to be a serious interview. He thinks his new hat with ridiculously oversized feather looks particulary dashing and will be a symbolic image of the new Royal Court. During the interview the producer has superimposed silly comedy nose and glasses onto Sir Ender. None the wiser to being made to look a fool Sir Ender says Killer Queen just wants to test him before giving blessing to form the new Court and believes Queenie will act as a manager or advisor. He rambles on for a few minutes before ending. As he walks away there is laughter. One of the camera crew has clowned around and managed to pin a note with the words ‘idiot’ to his back.
 
Max Shield finally reaches the summit as he beats Bloodline to become new Heavyweight champion. Can Max finally win the big one? So many years of underachieving. All he’s got in terms of belt success is when he won the Interplanetary belt from Splatter way back on #742 which was during MEGATOURNAMENT 2102 but he lost the belt immediately to Nefarus which means he’s not even in its lineage. It was going to be very tough though against the ultra talented Bloodline paired with the cunning of Thantos. Max is not alone though. Trisis had got her manager’s license just in case she was ever needed. With the blessing of Corporal Aegis she is able to accompany Max. He’s more relaxed about allowing it as guys like Bloodline and Thantos are not dangerous in the same way as some other villains are. Trisis is never going to be able to physically help although maybe she’ll be able to help with a key distraction. As it turns out she doesn’t need to do anything. Max is more than up to the task. He wrestles a magnificent match and exposes some of Bloodline’s inexperience. Bloodline wasn’t getting too much joy against Max and perhaps should have stopped trying to go toe to toe. A more experienced villain like Thantos was would have gone on the defensive and tried to stifle things. Perhaps of played for the DQ to protect the belt. Nobody wants to lose a match but sometimes accepting it might happen is the wisest thing. He just left himself way too open and Max managed to nail him with THE OMICRON FORCE. It could have been a much more devastating impact. Thantos was still concerned and tried a distraction only to get ignored by the ref. This one wasn’t falling for his tricks. Max went for the cover and made sure to hook the leg. It was just enough to keep Bloodline pinned for three. Max jumped up with joy on realisation. Trisis then rushes in to hug him. She knows how hard he has worked for so many years. Max accepted the belt and milks the moment. The sight of him finally holding it must of been driving his old enemy Mandrill green with envy. What must be even more frustrating for Mandrill is it might not be that easy to come after Max as he’s got his hands full with the Gladiators right now. For Takeover it’s not been a great night. They are still in a very strong position in the fed but so far they’ve had everything their own way so it’s been tough to swallow.
 
Talisman hands Mensar his first loss to defend the TWL belt. Weird match. Nobody quite sure what to make of Talisman. Cordanus enters the ring and takes possession of the mic and directly addresses Talisman “so you think you got all the answers with this true way of life you are preaching, well answer this”. Mensar now takes the sham title belt off the announcer’s table and smashes it to bits with a hammer to the great amusement of the watching Cordanus. Talisman screams “noooo” and rushes out to try and retrieve the bits. He’s lucky he didn’t get a hammer on the head. Instead Mensar discards the weapon and starts pounding two handed onto the back of Talisman and throws him into the ring. Talisman is distressed and probably wants the ground to swallow him up. Unfortunately he’s still got a match to honour. To be fair to him he weathers the initial storm and fights back well. It’s often forgotten he’s not a bad wrestler who posted some high profile wins in his previous run. After somehow finding energy to kick out of WRECKING MACHINE Talisman gets some momentum. Mensar is not used to having someone stand up to him. It’s all been too easy so far. He struggles to fend off the offence and Talisman goes opportunistically for AMULET DROP. Looking as surprised as anyone when it actually yields a pin. Not as surprised as Cordanus though who fully expected Mensar to kick out powerfully without any assistance. Talisman has no interest after in even having his hand raised in victory. Looks distressed that his precious belt was in bits. Gathers what few shards he can find and then leaves as fast as he can.
 
Stars and Stripes over Desolation Factor by DQ. Commando Sam was really cracking the whip. Leading his new tag team out early military style and singing “the alien connection will pay the price, they know that Commando Sam don’t play nice. We’ll kick their butts all over the ring, Stars and Stripes are the new tag team kings”. US. Male and American Guy obediently repeat. The song goes on until it is broken by the heavy metal entrance music of Desolation Factor. It’s a real tense atmosphere once everyone reaches the ring. An early brawl plays out before we get a bit of wrestling. Neither team making huge inroads. The two managers are probably worse than the wrestlers. Using every opportunity to lay the boot in. The referee gives one final warning but Mangus doesn’t listen and tried to attack American Guy outside the ring. The bell goes meaning a DQ. Sam now piles into Mangus and an ugly scene sees all 6 brawling. Resembling a street fight. The crowd shows support for both teams during this. When things eventually settle down and the two warring teams are pulled apart Sam looks at the crowd and gestures his arms as if to say ‘why?’ He cannot understand why anyone would want to cheer Alien Connection over his FDF. It’s clear this is going to be one intense feud!
 
Ninja Assassins win a thriller over Twin Blood. No question Twin Blood are one of the greatest teams ever. Although for the first time they find themselves on a bit of a cold streak. No better way of bouncing back than beating your main feud rivals. Sadly they stumble again. Although they do play their part in a thrilling match. It was literally the last move of the match before I was going to call time when Daeman manages to lock his Daeman Death Grip onto the heavily fatigued Dreggs and nick the win. Before that happened both teams had numerous near misses with their finishers. I think Dreggs must of been on the end of DOUBLE EDGE SWORD about three times.
 
Lorelei blows away Velar. Lorelei tests herself for the first time in singles action. Velar is a big test though. Velar herself looking to move up the rankings quickly with her third match in as many weeks and sees Lorelei as a decent scalp. Amazonia is with Lorelei. Velar could probably of done with someone in her corner as it transpires. On paper she was the favourite but cannot cope with the furious offense of Lorelei. It was as if Lorelei was taking years of pent up rage out on her. Four times MATERNAL RAGE was used. Velar kept clinging on until a missile dropkick finished her off for good.

Tocsin downed Tortured Soul. Tocsin doesn’t want to be in the shadow of his more illustrious teammates. Since his remarkable albeit brief run with the Centra belt he’s kind of been forgotten. He vows to crush Tortured Soul and move onto bigger fish like Murdok. DM on commentary suggests Tortured Soul might want to think twice about using ROTTING CLAW on Tocsin “otherwise his arm could stink forever”. That conjures up quite an image. Never gets anywhere close to happening though. Tocsin is mainly on top and manages to beat Tortured Soul with SENTRY STUNNER. Then suddenly Tocsin is attacked from behjnd. He falls to the deck and is surprised to see Splatter instead of the Colonizers before being struck again and passing out. Splatter hammers him over and over again before Max Shield runs out to help him. Splatter ends the attack before Max gets there. He looks very happy with himself for claiming his second victim of the month. Tocsin looks in bad shape and is stretchered away. The sad thing is Splatter is again going to get away with it scot-free and that’s just encouraging him to do it more and more (Tocsin injured 7 cards).

CARD 1208 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – MENSA GALAXY DOME:
 
TRISIS SHOWCASE … CORPORAL AEGIS … Trisis is delighted that she’ll be able to host her talk show from time to time. Her first guest is none other than Corporal Aegis. No hiding their relationship for the cameras. Aegis strides onto the set and gives Trisis a long kiss. She looked a bit taken aback and even said “easy tiger” before composing herself and getting the interview underway. She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face though. She allows Aegis most time on the mic and only asks occasional questions. Significantly Aegis admits “it was tough on Centra. Both Max and I felt the expectation and pressure. Coming to this dimension was like hitting the reset button. We went back to basics a bit and the results so far speak for themselves. I couldn’t be happier for Max winning the Heavyweight belt at long last. He’s a great wrestler and a great friend. Nobody deserves it more”. I won’t go on and on but overall this was a cool interview and fans were able to get under the hood of Aegis with this. He even revealed some personal secrets such as how he is very superstitious with his pre-match rituals. For example he always puts his left wrestling boot on first and he will never ever drink tea on the day of a match. It’s clear by the end that he is very passionate about wrestling even though he’s only been doing it a couple of years and has thanks to the GWF for introducing him to it. This maybe Mensa but plenty of fans cheer Aegis as goes to leave. If he’s even half as popular in this dimension as he was on Centra then he’ll be just fine. Just as he steps off the set Murdok emerges from the shadows to block his path. Aegis warns “this is not the time for trouble, this holy war you preach should only be fought in the ring”. Murdok refuses to budge “a war isn’t fought in a wrestling ring, a battle can happen at anytime and any place. You and your team are invaders. It doesn’t matter if we are in this dimension or on Centra. I intend to rule both dimensions and that all starts by beating your team here”. Then Murdok looks over at Trisis and adds “when I win this war you’ll either by my Queen or my personal slave. I haven’t decided yet”. Aegis’s blood boils on hearing Trisis being used as a pawn. He floors Murdok with a lethal jump kick and then jumps on him and continues kicking and punching. Murdok recovers from the shock of the move and the pair roll around like schoolboys having a fight before security swarms all over them. The ROC-Murdok’s World is now fully thrust into the public consciousness.
 
Tag champs, Blacklist, just about escape with the belts against Off The Wall. Not wanting to downplay Off The Wall’s right to a title shot as they are among several teams that were in the mix. However it seems Cordanus has picked the easiest one for his team. He looks very smug as he is announced as a tag team champion and the belt glistens round his waist. There is some cheering for Blacklist as this is their home venue although large portions of the crowd still boo. More directed at Cordanus than at Mensar though. They have been deprived just as much as the rest of the cosmos in the last couple years. When Off The Wall is announced Cordanus looked distinctly unimpressed at the nutty Jesters. One comes cartwheeling through the curtains and the other bounces out on a space hopper. Couldn’t tell which one was which at this point. Cordanus orders Mensar to put a stop to the silly show. He leaves the ring and meets them in the runway. Kicks the space hopper from under one of them and then grabbing both Jesters and smashing their heads together. Leaves them on the runway and walks back to the ring as if nothing had happened. Both Mensar and Cordanus wait for the Jesters to recover and get into the ring. Fatally Cordanus starts to trash talk with the some of the crowd whilst they wait. Mensar also gets distracted by this. It means they are unaware of the Jesters recovery. They pair up and use all their might to knock Mensar out of the ring and then grab Cordanus. The cloned Jester starts to wrestle him whilst the original heads to the apron. They’ve managed to get Cordanus as the legal man in and set about annihilating him. Cordanus is no match and soon finds himself tied in the ropes awaiting A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. Mensar is just quick enough to save him from being pinned. Then there is a ref bump where he was briefly down. Only 5 moves but everyone was fully expecting the ref to DQ the Jesters given the influence of Cordanus. It doesn’t happen though and Cordanus looks in big danger as he gets struck with JAGGED EDGE and Mensar’s pin save is cut off. Somehow Cordanus kicks out and shortly after manages to roll himself outside the ring. He then fiddles with something stored inside his suit. It looked to be brass knuckles. So when the cloned Jester tries to fetch him in he gets struck with them. Cordanus finds some speed and scrambles to finally tag Mensar in. The hulking Mensar puts the cloned Jester into the ring and basically destroys him from this point on. The Jester threatens some offence a couple of times. Doesn’t last long though and Mensar ends his suffering after a falling head rammer. Blacklist keeps the belts. Only just though and it’s very obvious the key to beating them is to try and get Cordanus into that ring. Easier said than done though.
 
Paragon and Skinhead against Next Generation ends double DQ. After the drama of MENSA PERENNIAL this was always going to happen. Who would of thought Paragon and Skinhead would stand shoulder to shoulder like this. They’ve had their differences but Paragon is now indebted to Skinhead for his actions. Tonight could be first time we see a hired guns attack as Cordanus is keen to test it out and he’s not going to be in the ring as Next Generation is always accompanied by Thantos. Being a coward he doesn’t want any risk of getting caught in crossfire as Krakan has told him hitting the target is not easy when in an awkward hidden position. Thankfully we were spared the sight of both members of Next Generation parading both the singles belts. We only had to endure Encubus and the IP belt after Bloodline dropped the Heavyweight belt on the last show. Paragon teases Bloodline “that belt run doesn’t count, you got lucky to beat me and my good friend Max Shield showed you are not ready to be a champion. You never will be”. With all this jockeying everyone was hoping the match would live up to things. Never got much chance though. Skinhead was building a decent momentum against Encubus in the first minutes so whoever was tasked with the hired gun hit decided to strike. It was attempted earlier than planned and Encubus wasn’t ready for it. He got in the line of fire and went down. Skinhead then tried for the pin and failed. Encubus seemed to shake off the effects quickly and played his part in the wild brawl that then broke out. The referee suspected there was a shooter in the crowd and fears for his own safety. Wanting an early end he sees the brawl as a perfect excuse to DQ both teams. Cameras later identified the shooter as being from within the crowd. Looked like Mike Fortune doing the evil deed disguised very badly by a ladies hat and frumpy dress. Encubus reportedly had lingering effects from the shot that hit him in the back. Later in the night he went downhill and needed hospitalisation. He will recover but it might take some time.
 
Mandrill beats Thunder by DQ. Nobody could quite believe how easily Mandrill had won their 4 Weapons at match at MENSA PERENNIAL. For sure it wouldn’t be so easy this time. Thunder has had enough time to heal up fully since then and hasn’t been quiet in the build up. Warning Mandrill that his vow to lead the villain team is pure fantasy as “no race or team is superior to Aethra, under our great leader Vengeance we are stronger than ever and subservient to nobody. Malice and Overkill have already owned Rebel Empire and I will do the same to Mandrill. He got lucky in our last match. I have since returned to Aethra and demanded to be punished. I feel even stronger now after what I call mini cleansing”. That actually leads in quite well to Thunder’s special edition card in 2112 with an ever so slight improvement in the stats. Mandrill has said nothing in response. Refusing to get drawn in which some have interpreted to be fear. We’d soon find out. When Mandrill hits the ring he doesn’t look fearful in the slightest. His confidence is sky high after the last meeting. The one who has to watch himself is Rouser. He would be expected to do what it takes to assist Mandrill although by doing so he risked getting wiped out by Brute. Luckily for him his workload is low as Mandrill continues where he left off against Thunder and controls the match. After several minutes of this Thunder takes to the outside and drags Mandrill out with him. Then loses head by picking up a chair to threaten Mandrill who backs off. Within moments Rebel Empire shows up to give the Colonizers a numbers advantage. This only lasts a minute before Malice and Overkill surface. We have a momentary stand off before they all explode into action with a brawl. Security moves in but it’s too dangerous to intervene. Instead they form a perimeter to prevent endangering the crowd or officials. The brawl went to the back and is said to of burned itself out shortly after disappearing from view. The conflict between the Colonizers and Gladiators will continue unabated next month.
 
Splatter upsets Code Enforcer. Finally a chance for the Code Enforcer to get revenge for the lottery attack he suffered at the hands of Splatter late last year on Centra. He was stricken with a really bad inury and it feels like he’s been out a long time. I wouldn’t have wanted to be Splatter at this time. Surely his ageing body would not be able to stand up to this. He is bit like Dreadnaught though. Still writing cheques his body can’t cash. He’s been a busy boy and just made another enemy of the Centaurians for attacking Draconian Sheik too. Commando Sam suggested beforehand that if Splatter dares to try and use Arsenal then they will not hesitate to use a crowbar in response. Sam has many rivals from his long history and Splatter’s manager Krakan is one of them which adds some extra heat. There was no dilly dallying from either guy. Straight in even before the bell to start the match can sound. As expected Code Enforcer was dominating. Giving Splatter no chance to breathe. There were numerous pin attempts. Splatter survived them all including one after HEADS WILL ROLL. Then Splatter starts to show some occasional offence although it still looks like only one winner. However the Code Enforcer fatally dithers for a moment after a loud noise sounds. Perhaps worried that Mike Fortune might he shooting from within the crowd. Splatter quickly grabs his weapon and connects with MEET ARSENAL. Code Enforcer goes down like a lead balloon and gets pinned. Sam fumes when he realises what has happened and jumps onto the apron with crowbar in hand. However he is forced to take evasive action and jump down again as Splatter swings at him too. Sam knows this is a battle he cannot win especially with the Code Enforcer still seeing stars on the mat. All he can do is reach into the ring and help drag him out and depart before anything else happens. If Sam is wise he’ll park this whole thing and focus the team energies onto Alien Connection and also trying to win the fans back.
 
Unspeakable Horror over Deadly Sins by DQ. Sixth sense that something sinister would happen before this. Four of the most hardcore and dangerous characters in GWF history. You just felt very sorry for Lorelei in the middle of it all. Although it’s been her choice to go down the hardcore route and surround herself with dark and unpredictable individuals. At least she would not be attacked or dive bombed by Maleph outside the ring. Maleph’s replacement, Tortured Soul, just stood there vacantly watching. Barely moving the entire time. Before this all began Blazing Skull had created that ring of fire again. He dares Drac and Vyper to test out whether its real or not. Drac, who is still hobbled by injuries, charges towards Blazing and Anarchy before anyone can stop him. His headdress ignites and terrible screaming rings out. Blazing quickly extinguishes him and laughs “i’m not that sick in the head … or maybe I am”. Mercifully Drac is not burned as he stepped through it so quickly and the flames hadn’t had time to burn through the cloth of the headdress. Drac leaps out of the ring and needs calming down which Vyper achieves by holding out a snake. Drac is encapsulated by its coiling moves and strokes the snake. Amazing that such a thing can have a soothing influence. Blazing taunts them all from the ring and at that point the snake gets put away in the bag. Down to business. Vyper tries to carry the team and builds some great offence. Drac is too wild to be kept back though and ends up in the ring at some stage where he struggles on account of his injuries and earlier scare. Manages not to get himself beaten though despite CRUCIFIX DROP and BURNING TOUCH being used against him. Vyper then gets his time back in the ring and lifts the level of the team. Having a very even battle with both Blazing and Anarchy until the action spilled from the ring where Vyper shows his dark side by going for the snake again. As he holds the snake out it almost sinks its fangs into Anarchy. The ref has seen enough and issues the DQ. Both teams then need separating by a wall of security. No risks being taken after all the fire and snake antics we had just witnessed. Deadly Sins is already building a reputation of a tag team that is going to get disqualified a lot.

Rising Sun wins a fluid contest with Euritar. No question Euritar’s star is on the rise. His form in recent months has been excellent and he’s getting some very big matches. It might be a pain but the fact Cordanus is in a tug of war with Reynard B. Guile for his services shows how highly he is thought of. This had classic written all over as both are among the most agile and best technical wrestlers in the fed. Certainly the way it started suggested so as for the first few minutes there wasn’t so much as a cheap shot or a closed fist in sight. Just pure wrestling. Then there was a ref bump and it took quite a long time for him to recover. In the time he was down Rising was exceptional with all his finishers and all sorts of other moves like Titan Drop that could have ended it. Typically once the ref was back in the game Rising lost some of his momentum and Euritar comes into it. However Rising was not to be denied. Eventually he gets Euritar with SUPER DRAGON DROP. Strangely Reynard B. Guile made no attempt to distract or interfere. Almost as if he had been transfixed just watching the feast of wrestling taking place before his eyes.
 
Killer Queen teaches Sir Ender a lesson. Sir Ender thinks this is his big moment. By beating and proving himself to Killer Queen it was to herald the dawn of a new and improved Royal Court. Queenie is still in mint condition and gives him a wrestling lesson. The only offensive moves Sir Ender made went wrong as he makes a right pig’s ear of most of them. It does take Queenie a little while but it’s good to see all the favourite moves again. WARP SPEED was used a couple of times even though it’s lost its potency and is just an add 1 move. Eventually Queenie used a Throne Strap to get the match won. Sir Ender, with his dream of leading a new Royal Court shattered, looks for some afters and pulls a sword from his belt but Queenie is armed with an atomizer and skilfully disperses it into his face. Sir Ender has had enough and tries to leave. He cannot see very well and bumps into many things. Eventually finds the curtain at the start of the runway only to walk into a shelving unit beyond it which comes crashing down on top of him. Sir Ender was apparently pinned and needing rescuing. The camera crew didn’t spare his blushes and sent footage back into the big screen so everyone could see. Clearly for Sir Ender this weren’t no fairytale and nobody lives happily ever after. Queenie’s post match promo was brief “Sir Ender calls himself brave but as we now know he is afraid of his own shadow. I got no plans to come out of retirement. All I wanted to do is make sure that buffoon didn’t soil the good name of the legendary Royal Court”.
 
Bust Up beats the Soulwatcher by DQ. A new part-timer graces the GWF. He’s well known to quite a few though as Drawoh from Lacerta. For his run as a wrestler he is using the ring name of Bust Up. For those unfamiliar he is a comic and entertainer whose look is based off the Three Stooges from mid 20th century Earth. Entertainment and crazy antics are guaranteed. Ironically he is facing the Soulwatcher who despite often being announced as from parts unknown is thought to originate from the same time period, albeit an alternate one, as the Stooges on Earth. Doesn’t mean Bust Up was going to go easy on him. He wanted to make an immediate mark and show he can fight as well as entertain. Unfortunately it was immediately obvious he was a level below the Soulwatcher. Struggled to get any offence although he was good at taking what was dished out as he kicked out of a few pins. Only time he was able to get on offence was by dragging the Soulwatcher outside and sticking him into a post. That gave him an opportunity to almost win after WILD HYACINTH which is basically just a splash. When that fails he tosses the Soulwatcher over the top rope. Something the Soulwatcher didn’t take too kindly too as he reacts by dishing the same treatment he received earlier. Controversially the ref called the DQ. Unfathomably the Soulwatcher was disqualified. It was so harsh. Bust Up is delighted to win his debut match and wants to entertain the crowd so he grabs a beer bottle he was keeping in a corner and smashes it over the Soulwatcher’s head. Bad night for the Soulwatcher. Wondering if this might be a cool undercard feud now.

Talisman has reacted to the humiliation of seeing his True Way belt smashed to pieces by Mensar by immediately resigning from the GWF despite eventually beating the gigantic wrestler to go 💯 since returning. Instead he will join the CPC and set up his True Way group there. The fans won’t miss him. He was rubbing a lot of them up the wrong way even in just the few weeks he was back for.
 
Speaking of Mensar. His easy start is now over and things will well and truly get turned up a notch soon. It’s still a couple of months away but at FESTIVAL OF WRESTLING 2 the main event will be the Avenging Warriors against Takeover in an Aethran Ultimate Escape match. It won’t be the only one either as the Gladiators face the Colonizers in the same match type. A couple of weeks before that happens Wolf and Mensa will finally meet one-on-one in the first ever Mensa Table match. Finally the feud will fully crank into gear.
 
Dreadnaught makes an audacious bid to become part of a team again. Approaching his old friend Thantos to see if he can be a part time member of Takeover. Thantos has a soft spot for Dreadnaught and would like to help him. However the real power lies with Cordanus and there was no way he was going to let a liability like Dreadnaught anywhere near the team. Thantos has to politely let Dreadnaught know there is no spare capacity.
 
Looking for an early reward for the loyalty of the Hitmen Krakan enquires about the possibility of a Heavyweight title shot for Splatter because he beat the Code Enforcer. Considering Krakan bodged the first planned hit and took out Encubus instead of Skinhead it was probably over optimistic to expect much come of this but I rolled on the biased chart and the title shot was granted. If the roll hadn’t of come up in Splatter’s favour it would have been Mandrill. In fact Mandrill is also going to get a shot at the belt and face the winner. Purely because it potentially brings him back into conflict with his old enemy Max Shield. Also if Mandrill ends up wearing the belt by the end of all that I quite fancy a Mandrill-Thunder feud over the belt to add an edge to the battle for villain leadership. For what it’s worth Encubus has suffered some nasty after effects of the poisoned pellet and won’t be fully recovered for 6 cards. It could very well end up costing him the Interplanetary belt.
 
Cordanus had offered Rising Sun a shot at the IP belt after he beat Euritar but he only has eyes for the big prize nowadays and turns down the opportunity. Rising might be his own worst enemy as such an opportunity might not come again. Not under the regime of Crodanus anyway. So instead Euritar gets his shot at the big time. Even though Encubus and Euritar are part time teammates Cordanus thinks this looks good and promotes ‘fit and healthy competition’. Of course this suits him as it’ll keep the belt within his team. At least for another month.

As for the titles. For a brief moment Takeover had all the men’s belts. All achieved in little more than a month. However Bloodline showed he still has much to learn as he dropped the Heavyweight belt almost immediately to Max Shield. An incredible moment for Max as for so many years he has not been able to achieve the heights expected of him. Could be forgiven for thinking it might never happen. However there was hint of change in the air as Max finished his last month in Centra strong and then went and beat Genocide at MENSA PERENNIAL when nobody gave him a chance. Now he’s gone and beaten Bloodline and won the big one. He just needs to try and now hold onto it if only to get his name into the record books. The rest of his team (along which large parts of the cosmos) are made up for him. Of course they are queueing up to dethrone him. Cordanus will be thinking of ways to get the belt back and there are many other hungry villainous contenders lurking. Secretly Cordanus might not be too bothered about the loss of the title anyway as he will be confident of reclaiming it soon enough. He’s already achieved a huge objective with all his team has already won. Plus it clears a path for Mensar to go for it if the tag belts reign ends. He might even pursue the title whilst holding the tag belts too. Have to see.

Avenging Warrior has had a brush with the law which the first family were hoping to hush up. Unfortunately news leaked that he got into a brawl on Mensa last month with some Cordanus supporters and spent 48 hours in a jail before being released. A large fine was paid and he must now spend the next month doing community service on Mensa. Which means he won’t be at any matches. Omega is worried about his son and has apparently said to Lord Nexus that something might need to be done soon for his own good.

Splatter still making enemies with his lottery. The Hitmen are tight with Cordanus so he got away with no suspension after his latest selected winners Draconian Sheik and Tocsin got left badly injured. If they come after him he will be confident having just dealt with the Code Enforcer’s attempt to get revenge.

Hold onto your hats as the GWF is returning to the Aethran War Dome next month. One of the most dangerous places alongside the Brymstone Battle Dome to visit. Naturally the feud between the Gladiators and the Colonizers will come into stark focus with matches between them likely to dominate the shows.

ENCUBUS - might of been fast tracked to a title but no doubting his ability. Anybody who can own Archon like he did needs paying attention to. He’s also looking good in tag competition too with Next Generation. Special mentions to Draconian Sheik and Splatter for springing upsets and being involved in compelling storylines.
 
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
 
BLACKLIST - pains me to say that they are delivering in the ring, team is of course carried by Mensar but the fact is they are still 💯 and they are the ones holding the belts. Special mention goes to Ninja Assassins for their thrilling win over Twin Blood.

3. Dragonmaster beats Vanity in a flash (Cobra Nerve Stopper ends it in 2 moves. SQUASH)
4. Dreadnaught goes over Wolf by DQ (decent tussle which Dreadnaught was winning until Wolf body slammed him into the middle of the ring steps)

3. Draconian Sheik defeated Blazing Skull (bloody battle ends after Drac stabs Blazing in the head with a sharp object only to get attacked by Splatter in the aftermath)
4. American Guy over Ruin by DQ (Rack and Ruin double team American Guy outside the ring. End up brawling to the back after US. Male joins in)
5. Light Speed defeated Rebel Empire by count-out (Prodigy is the difference as he dominates Nefarus and drop kicks him through the ropes)
6. LADIES TITLE MATCH – Supernova pinned Anaxis to win the belt (emotional moment for Supernova as she finally becomes champ again after a cross body block)

4. Malice and Overkill defeated Deadly Sins by DQ (Vyper guilty of incessant brawling, he was already walking a tightrope for releasing a snake at the start)
5. Blacklist toil in their beating of Animen Invasion in a non-title bout (Cordanus gets the honour as he manages to pin Antak after TOTAL MASTERY)
6. INTERPLANETARY TITLE MATCH – Encubus easily beats Archon in a Titan Death match to win the belt (top rope clothesline ends a very one-sided match)

1. Tocsin downed Tortured Soul (SENTRY STUNNER but Tocsin then suffers a lottery attack from Splatter)

4. Stars and Stripes beat Desolation Factor by DQ (this is going to be one intense feud, Mangus costs this one by attacking American Guy)
5. TWL TITLE MATCH – Talisman hands Mensar his first loss (AMULET DROP after the gimmick belt was earlier smashed to smithereens)
6. HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH – Max Shield finally reaches the summit by beating Bloodline to become the new champion (THE OMICRON FORCE sparks scenes of jubilation)
  
Card 1208 – SATURDAY NIGHT STARSLAMMERS – Mensa Galaxy Dome:
 
1. Bust up beats the Soulwatcher by DQ (unfathomable outcome as the Soulwatcher is harshly disqualified)
2. Killer Queen teaches Sir Ender a lesson (Throne Strap wins it)
3. Rising Sun pinned Euritar (nice fluid match ended by SUPER DRAGON DROP)
4. Unspeakable Horror over Deadly Sins by DQ (Vyper’s snake almost sinks its fangs into Anarchy)
5. Splatter upsets Code Enforcer (sudden turnaround sees Splatter smash Code Enforcer with MEET ARSENAL after he’d fatally dithered)
6. Mandrill beats Thunder by DQ (Mandrill stays in early control of this feud as Thunder loses his head)
7. Next Generation against Paragon and Skinhead ends double DQ (crazy match that descends into chaos after a hired gun attack goes wrong. The hit misses Skinhead and gets Encubus instead. A wild brawl immediately follows)
8. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH – Blacklist just about escape with belts against Off The Wall (Mensar finished the cloned Mad Jester with a falling head rammer)

CARD 1209 – TRITON PAVILLION:
 
Couple of newcomers from America on the show. Sabre and Varsity (originally from Cetus) are collectively known as the Moral Majority and were competing in the underground CPC last year. Wonder whether they will try and get close to Commando Sam? Although Varsity has distanced himself slightly by saying “we are patriotic and always support our countrymen although I am not sure I agree with Sam’s methods. Its not something Sabre and I intend to follow. We will forge our own path”. They’ll have plenty of support as Triton is only a stones throw from Earth. An unexpected treat for the fans in this part of the Solar System as there will also be a title defence taking place. They were just pleased to see the GWF roadshow back and never expected a match of that magnitude.
 
Heavyweight champ, Max Shield, handles Splatter. Big month for Max. Can he get through it still holding the title? In the past self doubt has crept in once he’d reached the top of the card. Something just feels different this time though. His opponent, Splatter, can scarcely believe he has a title shot. He’s only ever won the IP belt which was almost 500 cards ago and ironically he lost it immediately to Max Shield. For sure he is lucky, it’s only because Krakan is in cahoots with Cordanus that this is happening and he’s not being given much chance. To be fair to Splatter he gives it a decent crack. Worrying Max a few times before the gulf in class came through. Max absolutely obliterated Splatter three times in all with THE OMICRON FORCE. Krakan instrumental in keeping Splatter going. However the final one was unsurvivable (+6) and gave Max the win he desperately craved. His name now goes into the official lineage and nobody can ever take that away from him. Dauntingly his next defence will be against Mandrill. The feud between them hasn’t cooled off despite both waging different wars at the moment.
 
Next Generation makes a big statement by beating Malice and Overkill. Encubus is still suffering the effects of being accidentally shot by one of the Hitmen. He is told by his father, Thantos, to wrestle through his sickness even though he is really poorly. Tough love. Not ideal when you are facing a couple of Gladiators. Although it’s a gamble that pays off. Malice and Overkill were using this to prepare for upcoming matches at the Aethran War Dome where they will be under immense pressure. It doesn’t go to plan though. It was a very long and even match that was in danger of becoming boring. Finally the tempo rises. Bloodline took TURNBUCKLE TRAP and UNSTOPPABLE FORCE in quick succession and has Thantos to thank for a vital distraction. Encubus then drives the team on. Overcoming his sickness to put Malice in a precarious position after SECOND COMING. He handed off to Bloodline who weakens Malice with CETUS MASTERLOCK. Was a clever move as he was going for BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG next and that setup made it less likely for Malice to move. Bloodline connects perfectly and is able to pin Malice after Brute’s distraction attempt fails miserably. Next Generation has already beaten Twin Blood and the Gladiators in their short existence. If Cordanus decides to push them as a tag team at some point they’ll be difficult to stop.

Lorelei quickly beats Sniper. Trying to keep this civil as both are on the hero side. There is more onus on Sniper to play by the rules what with how being a part of the Titan team. It’s amazing that having been such a dominant womens champion her form in the past few months has been so patchy. The downturn traced back to when she was having problems with Tough Guy. Hopefully now she is with the Titans there is a positive outlook although she does suffer another alarming loss here. Lorelei’s aggression seemed to catch her by surprise. Barely a minute gone and Lorelei used MATERNAL RAGE to win the match and earn herself a shot at the ladies belt held by Supernova. The match will take place at the end of the month.
 
Animen Invasion frustrate the Ravagers and grab a DQ win. The Ravagers look to stay hot after already dealing with the SWAT Team at the MENSA PERENNIAL. Of course the two teams will square off more than the once. Here Ventross just wants the win to rack up some easy ranking points but they stumble. The Animen sneak a DQ win which is amazing considering they almost lost in less than a minute after Son of Ram is planted with RAVAGER FACE DROP. After that high intensity start the Ravagers look disjointed and Rankor even had to kick out after ANIMEN FINISH. He’s the one who then costs the match as he lets his unpredictable temper lead him into a needless chair attack on Son of Ram. Kind of sums up the Ravagers really. They take one step forward and then one backwards all of the time.
 
Varsity pinned Mike Fortune. Two American residents from different time periods and with very different principles. Having just wrestled Sabre wanted to hang back and watch her partner closely from ringside. Varsity doesn’'t think it’s a good idea with predators like Krakan around and convinces her to leave. He copes perfectly fine on his lonesome. After a few minutes of trading offence he starts to really control things. Numerous pin attempts with his finisher P.C.D. which fail to yield victory. Just when DM on commentary bemoans his lack of killer instinct Varsity pulls off a belly-to-belly suplex and bridges for the pin attempts with. This time it does the job to give him a winning debut.
 
Sabre has it easy against Maxine Babe. Sabre looks an impressive female specimen. She doesn’t have to work too hard to win via a pump kick and am sure there’s much more in the locker.
