Don Leo Jonathan opened the festivities with a bruising win over Harley Race thanks to the MORMON SWING.
Card 42 – Akron Armory:
(In a stunning turn of events the Headliners attack Nick Bockwinkel during an in-ring interview as punishment for failing to win the Heavyweight strap. Bobo Brazil makes a run-in to save Bockwinkel. After a frosty moment Bockwinkel realises what happened and embraces Bobo. After this and the heinous beating dished out to Frank Gotch on the previous card the Headliners have been hit with a 3 card suspension but this has been criticised as being too lenient. Bobo Brazil has said it’s fine, “Means we can get em’ back in the ring and beat their sorry behinds quicker!”)
Non-title match, Cowboy Bob Orton scored an upset win over Bobo Brazil. Earlier in the card Bobo had been involved in an incident with the Headliners which probably drained him for this match
Submission match, Sabu beat Dick Hutton with a CAMEL CLUTCH and refused to relinquish the hold. Having prolonged Hutton’s agonizing torture he then produced a blade from inside his boots and hammered at Hutton’s face. There was blood everywhere. Fans were shocked at the incident and some were even sick
In a Sleeper Match, Ted DiBiase bounced back to beat Brutus Beefcake
Air Assault defeated Pomp & Circumstance in an entertaining tussle with Bastien scoring the decisive pin after hitting Buddy Rose with the ATOMIC DROP
Animal defeated Bobby Eaton by DQ after Stan Lane interfered in the match
Valiant Brothers beat Killer Bees after Blair succumbed to Johnny’s TOPE ROPE ELBOW.
Card 43 – Akron Armory:
(Following from the shocking events on the last card Nick Bockwinkel scheduled a press conference before the night’s action. Flanked by his new pal, Bobo Brazil, he revealed that is joining the CAC to lead the team into battle against the hated Headliners who have since recruited the Iron Sheik & a returning King Kong Bundy. Further drama occured when the Valiant Brothers issued the Road Warriors with a challenge for the belts after their failed previous attempt accusing them of running scared. Never ones to back down Animal & Hawk instantly take up the challenge)
Non-title match, Bobo Brazil avenged his previous defeat to Cowboy Bob Orton with a quick win following the famed COCO BUTT. He was really pumped up for the match
Iron Sheik used his loaded boot to soften up Mil Mascaras before using the CAMEL CLUTCH to force a submission
Killer Bees won an epic against Pomp & Circumstance by DQ. Both teams had their moments in the match. Eventually there was a sour end as the action spilled outside the ring. As Blair pursued Buddy Rose he got a face full of diet powder which the ref saw. Blair wants a match with Buddy Rose one-on-one to see who the ‘bigger’ man is
Jimmy Snuka outfought Ox Baker using the SUPERFLY LEAP to get the job done. Snuka is determined to win a belt in this fed and sees the tag straps as his best opportunity
The Sandman scored an upset win over Johnny Valentine after whacking him with the SINGAPORE CANE
Midnight Express outclassed Brutus Beefcake & Jim Duggan after hitting Duggan with the VEG-O-MATIC. Buoyed by their victory they arrogantly proclaimed in a post match interview that their ascent to a title match against the Road Warriors is only a matter of time.
Card 44 – Cobo Hall:
(Pre-card notes: Nikita Breznikov and Nikolai Volkoff are spotted lurking around outside the venue spouting all sorts of anti-american propaganda. Buddy Rogers took less than a minute to beat Virgil with the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE on his return to action
B. Brian Blair won a lengthy tussle over Buddy Rose eventually using a SLEEPER to put Rose to bed. Captain Lou Albano had managed to unsettle Buddy Rose by stealing a box of diet powder that Rose had brought down to ringside.

Latest News:
Some major shuffles after the shocking attack on Nick Bockwinkel. A huge twist as Bockwinkel is now leading the CAC charge against the hated Headliners. Down a member the Headliners have recruited the Iron Sheik and a returning King Kong Bundy to bolster their ranks. Both groups are attempting to dominate the fed and control the belts. Bobo Brazil and Harley Race will go to war over the Heavyweight strap but not before locking horns in a tag match at the next LEGENDS LIVE show.
The US. Belt has been held up because of Frank Gotch sustaining a major leg injury at the hands of Killer Kowalski and Harley Race. In a subsequent hearing Kowalski demanded the belt be returned to him but it was ruled that it should be held up and another tournament run to fill the vacancy. Fed bigwigs are desperate credibility is brought to the belt and will be thinking hard about who will be allowed to compete.
Ted DiBiase was humiliated by his defeat to Virgil. The Million Dollar Belt he lost has been remade but he has not been wearing it to matches choosing to keep it locked up in a safe. This added to team member Greg Valentine being forced to depart the LWF for at least a year all but spells the end of the Million Dollar Corporation. They have been soundly beaten by the Underdogs! DiBiase isn’t taking it all lying down and promises to return with a bigger and better Corporation in the very near future.
Despite all the above nothing could compare to the revolting blade attack Sabu unleashed on Dick Hutton. The damage to Hutton’s face was awful. But both the Grapplers are now on the sidelines and wondering whether their style of wrestling is actually suited to the LWF. Promoters and networks alike are wondering if the fed is becoming a cauldron of violence despite a rise in attendances and viewing figures.
Buddy Rogers made a low profile return to action on the last card easily defeating Virgil in a quick match. He has been warned that there will be no second chances.
