GWF Ringside Report
Omega was successful in his most recent defense of the GWF Galaxian Title at GWF 30. Now, he awaits his next challenger, which will be decided by the 3rd annual 4-man round robin tournament to be held at GWF 32. Two of the four entrants have been finalized: K.O. Keller and Torin Caelum. The final two spots will be determined in two matches occurring at GWF 31. In one of the matches, Keller will face Santon – if Santon wins, he’s in, if he loses, he’s out. The other match will be Morpheus vs. Screw – both men are in if Santon loses to Keller, but if Santon wins that match then the loser of this match is out.
The above two matches to be held at GWF 31 add to the previously signed GWF Tag Team Title Match between Paladin Power and Dorado Sundown and the first match between Commander Sam and the debuting Mangus. Also, Jammer will take on Ricken Prince, as Defiance attempts again to get revenge on Prince for his attack at GWF 29.
The matches signed for GWF 31 are:
Paladin Power vs. Dorado Sundown – GWF Tag Team Title Match K.O. Keller vs. Santon Morpheus vs. Screw Commander Sam vs. Mangus (GWF debut) Jammer vs. Ricken Prince CrossCurrents vs. The Wind Riders

Kinda hoping Santon steals himself a tournament spot... Just to see the stakes raised in the Morpheus - Screw encounter... Stoked!

Don’t remember seeing the Wind riders before. Good to see new blood win. Big win for the Prince and Caelum. And I’m just keep hoping Omega loses but it doesn’t happen. Always a fun read

Yeah, I'd like to see Omega drop the title but he's really tough.

As always, thanks for the comments everyone. Pariah, I hope for the same as well. But only the dice know how it'll turn out. I should be able to roll the card and post tonight after work. TTX and Drew, I'm surprised by Omega's year plus title reign thus far... in my previous fed, which ran from 2074 through 2085 before I decided to reboot, Omega couldn't put together a reign longer than 2 defenses. Keller, Caelum, and Santon, meanwhile, all had multiple title reigns of decent length. Funny how things change!

GWF 31 (2077.03) Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Mars
CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) vs. The Wind Riders (Rama and Tano) Vortex defeated Rama with WATERY GRAVE at 2:25 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Thetis and Vortex made quick work of their opponents, hitting their tag finisher for the win.
Jammer (w/ Blood) vs. Ricken Prince Jammer defeated Ricken Prince with BAD NIGHT at 1:30 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: Blood tripped Prince as he was coming off the ropes, leading to a quick win for his tag team partner. After the match, Prince would lunge at Blood, only to be clotheslined by Jammer. The duo would lay Prince flat with a pair of double team maneuvers before leaving the ring.
Commander Sam vs. Mangus Commander Sam defeated Mangus with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP at 5:24 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Sam would get the win by using his Commander Slam to set up his finisher, but still lost the battle, as Mangus viciously attacked him with a steel chair following the match. Security would prevent any serious damage from being done to Sam.
Morpheus (w/ Cosmos) vs. Screw Morpheus defeated Screw with a cobra grip at 17:50 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Morpheus, usually one to absorb punishment during a match, took the offense to Screw here (4 tokens for Screw). Screw survived multiple Satanic Skull Smashers and TRIPs TO HADES, but was weakened enough for Morpheus to eventually get the win. Cosmos was a surprise addition to Morpheus’ corner for the match, as Morpheus sees promise in the youngster and invited him to ringside in a mentoring capacity.
K.O. Keller vs. Santon K.O. Keller defeated Santon with a K.O. heart punch at 17:55 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Santon was game in this match, and nearly had Keller beat on multiple occasions. However, he was unable to put him away while he had the chance, and this would cost him. Keller would stun Santon with the heart punch after Santon missed a leg drop, stunning Santon enough for Keller to get the pin.
GWF Tag Team champions Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) – GWF Tag Team Title Match Blacklash defeated Solar Flare with RUSTLER’S STAMPEDE at 10:29 Dorado Sundown wins the GWF Tag Team Titles Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: A thrilling match between these two teams ended when Solar Flare was caught on the top turnbuckle and hit with a superplex by Blacklash. Moonstrike attempted to interfere to come to his partner’s aid, but the referee prevented him from entering the ring. Blacklash and Bullwhip took advantage of the distracted referee by throwing Solar Flare out of the ring and hitting him with dual steel chair shots. Solar Flare was quickly thrown back in the ring, where he was easy prey for Dorado Sundown’s double team finisher.

Sam wins the battle but Mangus is here for a war! Good win by Morpheus and the Tag titles remind me of the Steiners and the outsiders. One team wins the belts and they other takes them right back! Great work

Some seriously wicked action... Especially in those final three bouts... Too bad Santon couldn't snag a spot in the top contenders tourney, but Morpheus and Screw both looked strong in their head-to-head... Can't wait to see who earns the coveted title shot... Awesome show!
