GWF Ringside Report
As a result of the pull-apart brawl between Ricken Prince and Screw at GWF 50, a return match between the two competitors has been signed for GWF 52. As this will likely be Screw’s final match before his retirement, he has demanded that the match be a Cosmic Cage Match.

GWF 51 (2078.11) Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Mars
Caiman vs. Silvar Caiman defeated Silvar with a cross body block off the top turnbuckle at 8:01 Tokens: Caiman 0, Silvar 2 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Silvar took a lot of punishment from Caiman but was unable to capitalize on offense. Caiman easily brushed aside a running lariat attempt by Silvar late in the match and hit his opponent with a brainbuster, and he followed this by climbing to the top turnbuckle for a cross body block and winning pinfall.
Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) vs. CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) Blacklash defeated Vortex with SUNDOWN at 6:06 Tokens: Blacklash 2, Bullwhip 0, Thetis 0, Vortex 1 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Thetis and Vortex capitalized on Blacklash’s aggressiveness early, forcing him into mistakes that led to pinfall attempts. They were unable to get the three count, however, and Blacklash eventually hit his finisher on Vortex for the win.
Santon vs. Torin Caelum Torin Caelum defeated Santon with Torin Death Lock at 10:07 Tokens: Santon 2, Torin Caelum 2 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: A solid back-and-forth match in which Santon made a point to protect himself against his opponent’s CAELUM’S GRIP finisher, However, Caelum adapted and made continual use of his Torin Death Lock maneuver throughout the match, which eventually garnered him the victory.
Morpheus vs. Commander Sam Commander Sam defeated Morpheus with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP at 9:34 Tokens: Morpheus 3, Commander Sam 0 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: For the second time this year, Sam defeated Morpheus through use of his aggressive offensive style, preventing Morpheus from using his own offensive prowess.
Mangus vs. Hechilles Hechilles defeated Mangus with THE END at 4:34 Tokens: Mangus 2, Hechilles 0 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: Hechilles dominated his Cygnusian opponent throughout the match and fairly easily obtained the winning pinfall after using his finisher to become the #1 contender to the GWF Galaxian Title.
GWF Tag Team champions Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. Defiance (Blood and Jammer) Jammer defeated Solar Flare with BAD NIGHT at 18:55 Defiance wins the GWF Tag Team Titles! Tokens: Moonstrike 3, Solar Flare 3, Blood 0, Jammer 1 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: A match of the year candidate that saw Defiance use several submission maneuvers to wear down the champions. Late in the match, Jammer countered a turnbuckle maneuver by Solar Flare with a running lariat. He and his partner then isolated Solar Flare in the ring and, using multiple quick tags, finally forced their opponent to succumb to Jammer’s finisher to win the titles for the first time.

Always enjoy a Caelum win and nice upset by Sam. Caiman shocks with the cross body victory.

The Mensans (Cordsar and Trotarus) vs. The Wind Riders (Rama and Tano) Rama defeated Cordsar with DEIMOS DRIVER at 6:53 Tokens: Cordsar 2, Trotarus 0, Rama 0, Tano 0 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: The Mensans tried and failed to ground and wear down their high-flying opponents. Cordsar was swarmed by the Riders, who hit their double-team finisher three times on the loudmouth to get the win.
Caiman vs. Mimic Caiman defeated Mimic with a shoulderbreaker at 5:25 Tokens: Mimic 1, Caiman 2 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Mimic started out strong and surprised his opponent with a flurry of moves and attempted pinfalls. However, Caiman countered a cross body block off the top turnbuckle with a power slam, and then hit a succession of moves of his own to get the winning pin.
Morpheus vs. Santon Morpheus defeated Santon with TRIP TO HADES at 8:37 Tokens: Morpheus 0, Santon 1 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: Morpheus dominated the majority of the offense in the match, as he quickly countered any move that Santon attempted. One such counter occurred late in the match, resulting in Morpheus hitting his finisher twice successively for the win.
Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) Solar Flare defeated Blacklash with PALADIN MISSILE at 2:53 Tokens: none Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Prior to the match, Blacklash grabbed the announcer’s microphone and called out Omega and Morpheus. When they appeared at ringside, Blacklash berated each of them: Omega for no longer being the GWF Galaxian champion, and Morpheus for not being able to win “the big one.” Bullwhip then grabbed the microphone and insulted both Omega’s son, Star Warrior, for being “the son of a loser,” and Cosmos for “having anything to do with that family of losers,” and that “Cosmos’ going to Omega for training only shows how terrible Morpheus is.” At this point, with their attention on Omega and Morpheus at ringside, the bell rang to start the match, and Paladin Power quickly went on the assault, knocking Bullwhip out of the ring and making quick work of Blacklash to get the win. Post-match, Blacklash and Bullwhip furiously stomped around the ring while the victors celebrated ringside with Omega and Morpheus.
Screw vs. Ricken Prince – Cosmic Cage Match Screw defeated Ricken Prince with FREAKISH FACE SLAM at 11:08 Tokens: Screw 2, Ricken Prince 1 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Ricken Prince drew blood on Screw early after driving him face first into the cage. Screw, however, would recover and survive Prince’s ROYAL DECREE finisher and eventually gain the advantage. Prince would survive one FREAKISH FACE SLAM and attempt a comeback, but Screw would hit his finisher a second time for the win in his retirement match. The fans gave Screw a standing ovation, and most of the GWF locker room came to the ring to congratulate Screw and wish him well.
GWF Galaxian champion K.O. Keller vs. Hechilles – GWF Galaxian Title Match K.O. Keller defeated Hechilles with Keller’s flying knee at 10:45 Tokens: K.O. Keller 4, Hechilles 3 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: An incredibly hard-hitting match that brought the fans to their feet to deliver a standing ovation to both competitors after the match. Keller survived incredible punishment from Hechilles during the match, including Hechilles’ devastating THE END finisher, to slowly wear his opponent down with his own punishing K.O. heart punch to eventually get the winning pin to retain his Galaxian title.
