GWF Ringside Report
GWF Galaxian champion Omega continued his nearly 2-year dominance over the GWF roster with his victory over Commander Sam at GWF 38. Before reaching that anniversary, however, he’ll be defending the title at GWF 40, the final card of 2077. His opponent will be determined at GWF 39, via a match between former GWF Galaxian champions K.O. Keller and Torin Caelum, both of whom were victors in their respective matches at GWF 38.
Speaking of dominance, Dorado Sundown has dominated the GWF tag team ranks during 2077. They will defend their GWF Tag Team Titles against CrossCurrents at GWF 39 in a rematch of their battle at Galaxi-Cade.
Rivals Commander Sam and Mangus each got involved in the other’s match at GWF 38, making it clear that their Cosmic Cage encounter at Galaxi-Cade solved nothing in their feud. The two will face each other again at GWF 40 to close out 2077.
Morpheus announced that he has signed two new competitors to GWF contracts, with both scheduled to debut in 2078. Unlike recent years’ signees, Morpheus stated that the two recently signed wrestlers are both experienced and likely to be in the GWF Galaxian Title hunt in the near future.
NOTE: GWF Ringside Reports will now appear after every other event instead of every event, unless breaking news demands a special report.

Those dice stay busy. Wow, Keller put a pounding to Caelum. And Caelum kept bouncing back... hard not to root for the guy when that happens, but the dice weren't to be for him.

GWF Ringside Report
Omega’s successful title defense against K.O. Keller at GWF 40 means that Omega has now held the GWF Galaxian Title for 2 years. His next title defense will occur at GWF 42 against Torin Caelum. However, he will take part in a different sort of title match at GWF 41, after recent comments by GWF Tag Team champions Dorado Sundown.
Blacklash and Bullwhip have dominated the GWF tag team scene since winning the GWF Tag Team Titles from Paladin Power at GWF 31. After their dominant title defense against CrossCurrents at GWF 39, the duo was heard loudly complaining in the locker room about the “lack of competition” they’ve been facing. At first, GWF co-owners Omega and Morpheus brushed off their comments as simply frustration on the champs’ part. However, when the tag champs later moved their complaints from the locker room to the media, in an attempt to once again undermine the roster and scheduling decisions of the co-owners, Omega and Morpheus quickly acted. They announced that Dorado Sundown would defend the GWF Tag Team Titles at GWF 41… against The Guardians, Omega and Morpheus! Omega and Morpheus agreed that they would immediately vacate the titles if they should win, as they are not a regular tag team, and immediately schedule a tournament to then determine the next GWF Tag Team champions.
Morpheus provided new details about the two new competitors signed to GWF contracts, Hechilles and Caiman. Hechilles, from Omicron, is a skilled grappler along the lines of Torin Caelum, while Caiman, from Mangrove 25 in the Vega system, is a fierce brawler similar to K.O. Keller in ring style. The two will debut against each other in a series of matches, with the first to occur at GWF 41.
The PWMA (Professional Wrestling Media Association) has voted for their 2077 year-end awards and announced the winners in a special ceremony. The 2077 Wrestler of the Year, for the second consecutive year, was Omega. The 2077 Tag Team of the Year was Dorado Sundown. And the 2077 Match of the Year was Torin Caelum vs. Morpheus from GWF 32.

Caiman would then get the advantage, with Hechilles surviving his HANDICAPPER finisher (a press slam into a backbreaker) twice. The action would go back and forth until late, when Hechilles hit the ring floor hard after a back body drop from Caiman. Caiman rolled Hechilles back in the ring and hit a shoulder breaker for the winning pinfall.

Morpheus would finally get fed up with this, as he would grab Blacklash off the ring apron and brawl with him on the ring floor. In the ring, Bullwhip would throw Omega into the ropes for a back body drop, only for Omega to counter with a piledriver, setting up his finisher and a pin save by Morpheus for the win and title change. After a couple of quick photos with the tag team titles on their shoulders (and the GWF Galaxian Title on Omega’s waist), Omega and Morpheus grabbed the microphone and announced that they would indeed vacate the tag titles, setting up a tournament to crown new champs which would begin at GWF 42.
