GWF Ringside Report
The full card for the GWF’s 3rd annual Galaxi-Cade event, scheduled to occur at GWF 37, is now set, with a main event of Omega once again defending the GWF Galaxian Title against Morpheus, who defeated Mimic at GWF 36 to become the #1 contender. Morpheus has yet to wear the GWF Galaxian Title around his waist. Will he be able to take advantage of this opportunity?
Morpheus isn’t the only GWF wrestler to receive a title shot at Galaxi-Cade due to a victory at GWF 36. CrossCurrents’ surprising victory over former GWF Tag Team champions Paladin Power has made them the top contenders for the GWF Tag Team Titles held by Dorado Sundown.
The matches scheduled for Galaxi-Cade (GWF 37) are:
Omega vs. Morpheus – GWF Galaxian Title Match Dorado Sundown vs. CrossCurrents – GWF Tag Team Title Match Commander Sam vs. Mangus – Cosmic Cage Match K.O. Keller vs. Mimic Torin Caelum vs. Santon Rock Solid vs. Defiance Paladin Power vs. The Mensans

Started reading some of this. Really good stuff. Makes me want to play the early years. I did start the early classics with a view to connecting it to my current 2087 onwards fed and got to 2082 ish but lost momentum, maybe will pick it up again and continue it. Just not so easy when classics aren’t on the COTGonline as I can only really effectively play using the game table on there.
Great angle to get Jack Hood in and really relevant at the start of your fed

GWF 37 (2077.09) Galaxi-Cade 2077 Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Mars
Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. The Mensans (Cordsar and Trotarus) Trotarus defeated Moonstrike with MENSAN LOCK at 4:11 Tokens: Moonstrike 4, Solar Flare 0, Cordsar 0, Trotarus 0 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: The Mensans dominated Moonstrike during the match, as Solar Flare was never able to tag in. Moonstrike survived Trotarus’ finisher twice, only to submit when it was applied a third time.
Rock Solid (Ricken Prince and Screw) vs. Defiance (Blood and Jammer) Ricken Prince defeated Blood with BOW TO THE PRINCE at 2:30 Tokens: Ricken Prince 0, Screw 0, Blood 1, Jammer 0 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Prince and Blood began the match, but it quickly turned into a brawl with all four men. With the referee distracted in an attempt to get Screw and Jammer to stop brawling and return to their respective corners, Prince hit Blood first with ROYAL DECREE and, seeing the referee wasn’t paying attention, hit his low blow finisher for the win. The brawl continued after the match until security was able to intervene.
Torin Caelum vs. Santon Torin Caelum defeated Santon with a power slam at 18:16 Tokens: Torin Caelum 4, Santon 1 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: A great match featuring a lot of back-and-forth action. Caelum survived two SPIKE PILEDRIVERs from Santon and was reeling late in the match. Santon attempted a cross body block off the top turnbuckle, only for Caelum to catch him and quickly deliver a power slam for the pin.
K.O. Keller vs. Mimic Mimic defeated K.O. Keller via disqualification at 2:02 Tokens: K.O. Keller 1, Mimic 0 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: Keller missed a clothesline attempt and crashed hard into the turnbuckle. After a quick pinfall attempt, Mimic applied his MIME NERVE SLEEPER. Keller was able to reach the ropes, but the two men fell through the ropes and to the floor, with Mimic still applying his finisher. The referee tried to get Mimic to break the hold as Keller was swinging his arms in an attempt to break the hold himself. Keller accidentally struck the referee, who called for the disqualification.
Commander Sam vs. Mangus – Cosmic Cage Match Commander Sam defeated Mangus by escaping the cage at 17:12 Tokens: Commander Sam 0, Mangus 5 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: A thrilling match of the year candidate, featuring plenty of offense from both wrestlers. Sam would gain the advantage late and attempt to leave the cage four consecutive times for the win. Mangus was able to prevent Sam from leaving after the first three attempts (following an overhead crash, a face into cage, and SAM’S ATOMIC DROP). But a second SAM’S ATOMIC DROP was too much for a bloodied Mangus to overcome, and Sam was finally able to climb over the top of the cage for the victory.
GWF Tag Team champions Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) vs. CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) – GWF Tag Team Title Match Blacklash defeated Vortex with RUSTLER’S STAMPEDE at 8:00 Tokens: Blacklash 1, Bullwhip 0, Thetis 0, Vortex 1 Match Rating: 3.25 Match Notes: The challengers dominated the offense for the majority of the match. However, Blacklash would gain the advantage by hitting Vortex with a running lariat clothesline after reversing a ropes maneuver, followed by the double-team finisher with Bullwhip for the win.
GWF Galaxian champion Omega vs. Morpheus – GWF Galaxian Title Match Omega defeated Morpheus with TOMAHAWK THRUST at 12:25 Tokens: Omega 2, Morpheus 8 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: A match full of high impact offense. Omega survived two early applications of TRIP TO HADES by Morpheus, and proceeded to hit Morpheus with his TOMAHAWK THRUST and COSMIC WAR DANCE finishers a combined seven (!) times. A resilient Morpheus finally succumbed after the last TOMAHAWK THRUST by Omega and required medical personnel to assist him to the locker room after the match.

GWF Ringside Report
Morpheus was once again unable to defeat Omega for the GWF Galaxian Title at Galaxi-Cade 2077, where he put up yet another valiant effort but came up just short of getting the win. While he’s not saying much publicly, one must wonder whether his responsibilities as GWF co-owner and travelling for talent scouting have affected how he prepares and competes in the ring. Unofficial sources noted that his upcoming travels will be taking him to Omicron and the Vega system to sign new competitors to potentially debut in 2078.
Omega, meanwhile, will reward Commander Sam for his Cosmic Cage victory over his rival Mangus at Galaxi-Cade by awarding him a GWF Galaxian Title shot at GWF 38, while Mangus will square off against Torin Caelum and K.O. Keller and Mimic will meet in a Galaxi-Cade rematch.
The matches scheduled for GWF 38 are:
Omega vs. Commander Sam – GWF Galaxian Title Match K.O. Keller vs. Mimic Torin Caelum vs. Mangus The Mensans vs. CrossCurrents Ricken Prince vs. Silvar Paladin Power vs. The Wind Riders
