GWF 42 (2078.02) Deimos Intergalactic Arena, Mars
Cosmos vs. Silvar Cosmos defeated Silvar with THE MASTERDROP at 2:29 Tokens: Cosmos 0, Silvar 1 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: A dominant performance by Cosmos, who used a brainbuster to set up his falling elbow drop finisher to get the winning pinfall.
Commander Sam vs. Mimic Commander Sam defeated Mimic with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP at 6:16 Tokens: Commander Sam 1, Mimic 1 Match Rating: 2.75 Match Notes: A back-and-forth match for the duration, in which Sam took advantage of a missed standing dropkick by Mimic to hit a Commander Slam followed by his finisher for the win.
CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) vs. The Mensans (Cordsar and Trotarus) – GWF Tag Team Title Tournament, 1st round match Trotarus defeated Vortex with MENSAN LOCK at 29:51 Tokens: Thetis 1, Vortex 4, Cordsar 1, Trotarus 0 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: A thrilling match of the year candidate. Cordsar nearly won the match in the opening seconds by countering a sunset flip by Thetis, and later almost was pinned himself after being subjected to CrossCurrents’ WATERY GRAVE double team finisher. The Mensans eventually would cut the ring in half and isolate Vortex for nearly the last 10 minutes of the match, with Cordsar’s constant trash talking drawing Thetis to enter the ring and command the referee’s attention while The Mensans double teamed Vortex. Vortex eventually submitted to Trotarus’ finisher as Cordsar prevented Thetis from making the save, allowing The Mensans to move on in the tag title tournament.
Defiance (Blood and Jammer) vs. Rock Solid (Ricken Prince and Screw) – GWF Tag Team Title Tournament, 1st round match Ricken Prince defeated Blood with ROYAL DECREE at 12:24 Tokens: Blood 3, Jammer 0, Ricken Prince 0, Screw 0 Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: With the referee distracted by Screw and Blood in the ring, Prince attacked Jammer ringside early in the match and drove him shoulder-first into the ring post. With Jammer injured ringside, the match essentially became a handicap match dominated by Rock Solid. Blood would bravely fight back, but his two larger opponents would eventually wear him down. However, it still took Prince’s low blow BOW TO THE PRINCE finisher to finally take the remaining fight out of Blood, and Prince quickly followed with his ROYAL DECREE finisher to get the pin.
Morpheus vs. Santon Morpheus defeated Santon with Satanic Skull Smasher at 19:34 Tokens: Morpheus 0, Santon 4 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: A match full of power moves by both competitors, with Morpheus doing the most damage, as he was able to hit his TRIP TO HADES finisher on Santon twice. The finish occurred when Morpheus reversed a sunset flip attempt by Santon and hit one of his signature moves for the win.
GWF Galaxian champion Omega vs. Torin Caelum – GWF Galaxian Title Match Omega defeated Torin Caelum with TOMAHAWK THRUST at 7:32 Tokens: Omega 2, Torin Caelum 6 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: High impact offense was delivered by both men in this exciting match. Both men had early pin attempts, and Caelum was also able to apply his CAELUM’S GRIP finisher on Omega, but the champ was able to break the hold by reaching the ropes. Omega then took advantage after being the first to recover from a double clothesline and hit Caelum with his finishers three consecutive times (TOMAHAWK THRUST twice and COSMIC WAR DANCE once). Caelum rolled out of the ring, but rolled back in to another TOMAHAWK THRUST, which gave Omega the winning pin.

One of these days someone will knock off Omega. It's funny how the dice go... in prior Feds of mine, Omega could win the title but never hold it for more than one or two title defenses. Santon is struggling to string together wins in this Fed, but in prior Feds he always had extended runs as GWF champ.

GWF Ringside Report
The Mensans and Rock Solid both advanced to the semifinals of the GWF Tag Team Title Tournament with their victories at GWF 42. The semifinal matches to occur at GWF 43 are scheduled to be Dorado Sundown vs. The Mensans and Paladin Power vs. Rock Solid, with the tournament final to occur later in the card.
Jammer suffered a minor injury at GWF 42 due to Ricken Prince’s ringside attack during the Defiance/Rock Solid match. The injury will likely keep him out of action for 2-3 cards, adding even more heat to the ongoing feud between the two teams.
GWF fans are still buzzing about the 5-star match featuring the twin GWF debuts of Hechilles and Caiman from GWF 41. The GWF locker room also sat up and took notice, as Morpheus’ claim that these two would soon be in the GWF Galaxian Title picture looks to be accurate. The next match in their series will occur at GWF 43.
The 4th annual GWF 4-man Round Robin Tournament will occur at GWF 44. Four wrestlers will compete in matches against each of the other three wrestlers, earning 3 points for each win via pinfall or submission and 1 point for each win via disqualification or countout. The wrestler with the most points at the end of the night will be declared the #1 contender to the GWF Galaxian Title and will challenge the champion, Omega, at GWF 45. The match order will be drawn completely at random the day of the event. Morpheus, Torin Caelum, and K.O. Keller have already been signed to compete in the tournament. The 4th and final spot in the tournament will be either Commander Sam or Mangus, the spot to be awarded to the winner of their upcoming match at GWF 43.

After a barrage of offense by Santon, Mimic would counter a back body drop with a piledriver and then climb to the top turnbuckle for a high-risk maneuver. Santon recovered and threw Mimic off the turnbuckle into the ring, followed by his finisher for the winning pinfall.
Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. Rock Solid (Ricken Prince and Screw) – GWF Tag Team Title Tournament, semifinal match Solar Flare defeated Ricken Prince with a shoulder breaker at 3:10 Tokens: Moonstrike 0, Solar Flare 0, Ricken Prince 1, Screw 0 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: While Solar Flare and Screw had the referee’s attention in the ring, Blood would interfere and attack Moonstrike and Prince on the ring floor, clotheslining both men as they brawled. Blood would then whip Prince into the ring post, as payback for Prince’s similar attack on Jammer at GWF 42. Moonstrike would chase Blood away and roll Prince back in the ring, where he quickly succumbed to a shoulder breaker from Solar Flare. The Titans advance to the tournament final.
Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) vs. The Mensans (Cordsar and Trotarus) – GWF Tag Team Title Tournament, semifinal match Blacklash defeated Cordsar with RUSTLER’S STAMPEDE at 5:20 Tokens: Blacklash 0, Bullwhip 0, Cordsar 3, Trotarus 0 Match Rating: 2.50 Match Notes: The Mensans took an early advantage, using quick tags to isolate Bullwhip. However, Bullwhip was able to regain the advantage and tag in Blacklash, who proceeded to punish Cordsar, first with his SUNDOWN finisher and then, after knocking Trotarus off the ring apron, the double-team finisher for the pin.
Hechilles vs. Caiman Hechilles defeated Caiman with THE END at 12:41 Tokens: Hechilles 1, Caiman 3 Match Rating: 4.00 Match Notes: Another solid match between these two competitors. The match began with several holds and counterholds with neither gaining an advantage. Eventually both competitors were able to have periods of sustained offense until Hechilles was able to avoid a running shoulder dive by Caiman that sent Caiman crashing to the ringside floor. Hechilles rolled his opponent back into the ring and hit his finisher for the victory.
Commander Sam vs. Mangus Commander Sam defeated Mangus with a double fist at 14:20 Tokens: Commander Sam 1, Mangus 4 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: A match full of reversals and counters, which saw Mangus twice survive his opponent’s SAM’S ATOMIC DROP finisher. Mangus would gain the advantage and get a near-pinfall on Sam after using his Alien Romp signature move. However, another counter by Sam would lead to his stunning Mangus with a Commander Slam followed by a double fist for the winning pinfall and the 4th and final spot in the upcoming Round Robin Tournament.
Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) vs. Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) – GWF Tag Team Title Tournament, final match Moonstrike defeated Bullwhip with PALADIN DROP at 16:10 Paladin Power wins the GWF Tag Team Titles! Tokens: Moonstrike 1, Solar Flare 2, Blacklash 0, Bullwhip 2 Match Rating: 4.75 Match Notes: Another thrilling match between these two teams, featuring many quick tags from both as they attempted to keep themselves fresh and their opponents off balance. Solar Flare survived TWELVE O’CLOCK HIGH from Bullwhip early, barely lifting his left shoulder off the mat in time to avoid the three count. After a period of back-and-forth action, Moonstrike would also survive Bullwhip’s finisher and appeared to be in trouble. However, he countered a sunset flip attempt by Bullwhip with a piledriver and, as Solar Flare prevented Blacklash from interfering, hit Bullwhip with his finisher for the win, making the Titans 4-time GWF Tag Team champions.

K.O. Keller vs. Morpheus – round robin tournament Morpheus defeated K.O. Keller with TRIP TO HADES at 14:26 Tokens: K.O. Keller 4, Morpheus 1 Match Rating: 4.25 Match Notes: A solid match that featured plenty of back-and-forth action early. Morpheus (the 2077 round robin tournament winner) would gain the advantage and hit his finisher twice on Keller, only for Keller to kick out of both pin attempts. Keller would then take control and take the action to the ring floor whenever he could. After Morpheus escaped a pin attempt following a Keller falling fist to face, Keller would climb the top turnbuckle for a high-risk maneuver. Morpheus would recover and throw Keller off the top turnbuckle and follow it with his finisher twice consecutively for the winning pin (3 points for Morpheus).
Torin Caelum vs. Commander Sam – round robin tournament Commander Sam defeated Torin Caelum with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP at 3:41 Tokens: Torin Caelum 2, Commander Sam 2 Match Rating: 2.25 Match Notes: Plenty of action was packed into this brief but exciting match. Caelum would take control early, earning himself two quick but unsuccessful pin attempts on Sam. Sam would take the action to the ring floor, both to recover and to use his brawling skills to his advantage. This would pay off for Sam, as he narrowly avoided being disqualified after slamming Caelum’s head on the announcer’s table and, rolling Caelum back into the ring, hit his finisher consecutively to get the win (3 points for Commander Sam).
Commander Sam vs. Morpheus – round robin tournament Morpheus defeated Commander Sam with a sunset flip counter into a pin at 1:46 Tokens: Commander Sam 2, Morpheus 0 Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: Sam unluckily drew consecutive matches and remained in the ring following his match with Torin Caelum. Mangus would come to ringside just after the match started and distracted Sam after he whipped Morpheus into the ropes, which led to a quick pin and the win for Morpheus. Mangus jumped in the ring and attacked both men afterwards with a steel chair prior to being chased away (3 points for Morpheus, 6 points total).
Morpheus vs. Torin Caelum – round robin tournament Torin Caelum defeated Morpheus with CAELUM’S GRIP at 2:56 Tokens: Morpheus 3, Torin Caelum 1 Match Rating: 1.50 Match Notes: Another short, but thrilling, match, in which Morpheus drew the short straw for back-to-back matches and appeared to be laboring due to the steel chair shot from Mangus after the prior match. Caelum twice was able to put Morpheus into his submission finisher, and while Morpheus was able to reach the ropes to break the first one, he was forced to submit due to pain the second time (3 points for Torin Caelum).
K.O. Keller vs. Commander Sam – round robin tournament K.O. Keller defeated Commander Sam with a K.O. heart punch at 13:26 Tokens: K.O. Keller 0, Commander Sam 7 Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: Keller dominated the match, but Sam refused to be pinned, even after suffering two heart punches. Keller would continue to wear down Sam, and eventually hit Sam with two additional heart punches consecutively to finally get the pin (3 points for K.O. Keller).
K.O. Keller vs. Torin Caelum – round robin tournament K.O. Keller defeated Torin Caelum with THE TEN COUNT at 27:08 Tokens: K.O. Keller 3, Torin Caelum 6 Match Rating: 5.00 Match Notes: A match of the year candidate, in which both men were fully aware that a pinfall or submission win for either meant a tiebreaker match would occur for said winner against Morpheus. Caelum would have a couple of early pin attempts on Keller, but Keller would get the advantage after stunning Caelum with his finisher and a near three count. Keller would then wear Caelum down with his K.O. heart punch and other moves. Caelum would fight back and nearly get a submission from Keller after a Boston Crab. Keller would recover and hit his finisher again along with a flying knee, but Caelum still refused to be pinned. After an extended scuffle on the floor ringside, both men would return to the ring, where Keller would hit his finisher for a third time and finally get the winning pin (3 points for K.O. Keller, 6 points total).
Morpheus vs. K.O. Keller – round robin tournament tiebreaker Morpheus defeated K.O. Keller with Natural Disaster at 16:27 Tokens: Morpheus 6, K.O. Keller 3 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: A great match that was completely dominated by Keller, who started the match with some wear after the prior match, but it was Morpheus who garnered the win in a shocking turnaround at the end of the match. Morpheus missed a running clothesline early and was hit by Keller’s THE TEN COUNT finisher three consecutive times, barely escaping the pin attempts each time. Keller would continue to wear down Morpheus, countering every counter by Morpheus and using his K.O. heart punch to good effect. However, a failed moonsault by Keller led to Morpheus quickly hitting Natural Disaster out of seemingly nowhere to get the three count for the overall tournament win, repeating as tournament winner (3 points for Morpheus, 9 points overall).

GWF Ringside Report Morpheus won his second straight Round Robin Tournament at GWF 44, and it appears that the round robin format fits his ability to withstand punishment well. As a result of his victory, he will receive a GWF Galaxian Title shot against Omega at GWF 45. Morpheus has challenged Omega for the title several times during Omega’s two years plus reign as champ but has been unable to defeat him for the title. Will this time be any different?
Fans were not only buzzing about Morpheus’s repeat tournament victory, but also couldn’t stop talking about the 5-star match at the tournament between K.O. Keller and Torin Caelum. The two men have signed a repeat match to occur at GWF 46, with the winner to be the next in line for a shot at the GWF Galaxian Title.
Mangus lost his chance to compete in the Round Robin Tournament when he lost to his rival Commander Sam at GWF 43. However, he still found a way to get involved in the tournament by distracting Sam during his match against Morpheus and then attacking him with a steel chair afterwards. The two will add another page to their rivalry when they meet again at GWF 45.
Paladin Power won the GWF Tag Team Titles for the 4th time by defeating Dorado Sundown at GWF 43. They will make their first title defense in this reign at GWF 46. Their opponent will be the winner of the #1 contender match scheduled for GWF 45 between Dorado Sundown and Rock Solid. Dorado Sundown let their arrogance get the best of them, which resulted in their losing the GWF Tag Team Titles and then losing the tournament final to regain them. Have Blacklash and Bullwhip learned from their mistakes? Meanwhile, Rock Solid has put together an impressive run during their short time as a team, but Defiance is still breathing down their necks looking for revenge against Ricken Prince. Will Prince and Screw be able to focus on this upcoming match, and, even if they can, will Defiance allow them to do so?
GWF newcomers Hechilles and Caiman have had two impressive matches against each other this year, and the fan and locker room reaction to both competitors has been incredibly positive. They will compete against each other again at GWF 45 and are likely to do so at least a couple more times this year.
Cosmos has continued training with Morpheus during his GWF tenure, but he has yet to take the next step in the ring. His talent and potential have no limits, and Morpheus believes that as Cosmos continues maturing both physically and mentally it’s only a matter of time until it all clicks together for the youngster from Maffei II.

Cosmos trapped Silvar in the corner and eventually felled Silvar with a knee to the gut, which knocked the wind out of his opponent. He quickly followed it with his elbow drop finisher for the winning pin.
CrossCurrents (Thetis and Vortex) vs. The Wind Riders (Rama and Tano) Thetis defeated Rama with WATERY GRAVE at 3:28 Tokens: Thetis 0, Vortex 0, Rama 2, Tano 0 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: A fairly easy victory for CrossCurrents, as they isolated Rama in the ring for the entirety of the match, using quick tags and double team maneuvers (including their double team finisher consecutively) to get the win.
Hechilles vs. Caiman Caiman defeated Hechilles with HANDICAPPER at 3:11 Tokens: Hechilles 2, Caiman 0 Match Rating: 1.25 Match Notes: Hechilles missed a running lunge at Caiman on the ring floor and smashed his shoulder into the ring post. Caiman quickly took advantage after rolling Hechilles back into the ring, hitting his opponent with a shoulder breaker and then his finisher for the win.
Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip) vs. Rock Solid (Ricken Prince and Screw) Blacklash defeated Screw with RUSTLER’S STAMPEDE at 2:03 Tokens: Blacklash 0, Bullwhip 0, Ricken Prince 0, Screw 2 Match Rating: 1.00 Match Notes: As the match began, Defiance came to ringside, pulling Prince off the ring apron and attacking him. A distracted Screw proved no match for the former tag team champions, as Blacklash hit him with a shoulder breaker and a top rope clothesline before he and Bullwhip hit their double team tag finisher for the win. The winners quickly left the ring area, and Blood and Jammer forced Prince to “bow” to them on the ring floor, mocking his low blow finisher BOW TO THE PRINCE. Screw would recover and chase his partner’s attackers away.
Commander Sam vs. Mangus Commander Sam defeated Mangus with SAM’S ATOMIC DROP at 4:35 Tokens: Commander Sam 1, Mangus 1 Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: Sam countered an early onslaught from Mangus, narrowly avoiding being pinned after a cobra clutch suplex. He eventually took advantage and, after stunning Mangus with a Commander Slam, hit his finisher for the win. However, Mangus would win the war that night, as he would attack Sam from behind as he was celebrating with fans ringside, once again using a steel chair as a weapon. Security, already alerted after the prior match, quickly regained control and prevented Mangus from doing more damage.
GWF Galaxian champion Omega vs. Morpheus – GWF Galaxian Title Match Omega defeated Morpheus with TOMAHAWK THRUST at 14:19 Tokens: Omega 2, Morpheus 5 Match Rating: 4.50 Match Notes: Another great match between these two, and another win for Omega. Morpheus survived Omega hitting his COSMIC WAR DANCE finisher consecutively during the match, and later hit his TRIP TO HADES finisher on the champion which appeared to give Morpheus the winning three count. However, Omega had his foot draped over the bottom rope, so the referee correctly ordered the match to continue. Morpheus would hit both his Satanic Skull Smasher and Natural Disaster signature moves on Omega, but the champ would fight back and reverse a sunset flip into a pin attempt and then hit his other finisher on his frustrated opponent for the win.

Looks like Morpheus needs to get Omega in either a best of 3 falls of Iron Man match to have a chance of beating him.
