it is now official as (I expected) Edmonton eliminated Los Angeles and will now take on VGK in the Second Round. Edmonton honestly might be the best team in the Western Conference, but I think VGK with their superior depth can take them, lets do this! Best of luck to your Knights but I have to admit I'll be rooting for the Oilers. Even though they're a rival of the Canucks the Canadian Stanley Cup drought has got so ridiculous now that I'd be happy to see ANY Canadian team win it.(except for the Maple Leafs!) I do have to agree with you though that the Golden Knights have better roster depth. I also wonder if the Oilers expended too much energy in that series with the Kings. Should be a fun series.

Edmonton definitely was the better team in Game 2 as they had a decisive 5-1 victory. But tonight in Edmonton, VGK returned the favor with a 5-1 victory of its own.

Nice win by the Knights. The Kraken are looking tough in their playoffs could be an interesting match.

VGK wins tonight to take a 3-2 series lead and we get Pietrangelo back from suspension for Game 6!

I believe whoever wins this series will win the Cup with Boston gone. Secretly, however, I am hoping for a Florida vs. Seattle Stanley Cup Finals. A battle of the underdogs (and probably the lowest rated Finals in history which will drive Bettman up a wall).

congrats to the Edmonton Oilers for having a good season this year, thankfully though that season is now over VGK defeated the Oilers 4-2 tonight in Edmonton to win the series 4-2 and advance back to the Western Conference Finals for the 4th time in their 6 years of existence. VGK will have home-ice advantage in the Western Conference Finals (and in the Stanley Cup too if they make it there.)

A battle of the underdogs (and probably the lowest rated Finals in history which will drive Bettman up a wall). With all the Canadian teams gone, 30 years and counting without a Cup for this country, I'm officially rooting for the Panthers since they've eliminated my two least favorite teams so far: The Bruins and the Maple Leafs. As a Canucks fan I DEFINITELY don't want the Krakan to win the Cup. The last thing I'd want to hear from their fans is how they were able to put together a Cup winning team in just 2 years while my teams hasn't been able to do it in 53 years.

It is now official, Dallas eliminated Seattle tonight so VGK plays the Stars in the Western Conference Finals. Dallas went 3-0 against us this year but 2 of those 3 wins were by shootouts after still tied overtime periods so it was definitely not as onesided as 0-3 might indicate at first glance.
Game 1 is Friday.
