Looks like Donovan Dijak is the next ROH guy moving to NXT. Dijak left a while ago (February?). He's been in that EVOLVE, no-tampering holding pattern WWE has been using. yeah, I believe ACH is about to get signed too by the WWE

Disappointing either way that they can't seem to hold on to anyone who doesn't fit whatever Delirious is trying to book there. To be fair, WWE (and tangentially EVOLVE) have that big carrot they can dangle that, to some guys, money and booking aren't going to be enough to get them to stay. I think this fact gets overlooked when it comes to ROH's talent woes. Are football players going to keep playing in the arena league when the NFL comes calling? Not a chance. (Jim Ross' analogy, not mine)

Yeah but there are guys that see GFW as a more viable place to work right now.

I think Delirious has a ton of problems as a booker, but the issue ROH has now that they didn't have before is the WWE actively courting indy darlings. At ROH's peak they could create a point of difference because the WWE was only concerned with developing big monster and musclehead types from the ground up.

They also don't pay at all. Cedric Alexander was still working a day job when he was with RoH. They also only sign guys that go through their camps which is a pay to play scheme.

Dijak certainly has the size WWE loves, although he's not a musclehead. I saw him live a couple weeks ago against Marufuji and he was pretty impressive. I need to figure out how I want to bring him into my fed...

Ring of Honor is doing a Global Wars show in Columbus. Now don't get too excited. We're getting treated to some elite New Japan talent like Yoshi-Hasi and KES. So I figure, hey it's usually $35-$45 for second row at these shows. Nope, $75 for anything decent, it's at a shitty venue where you can be second row and get charged those prices and be further from the ring than someone that paid far less. These motherfuckers want $30 for standing room only tickets. Pass.

The only real highlight of the New Japan lineup for that show is Hiromu Takahashi and they've got no real appealing matchups left on that roster.

There's some serious anger towards ROH in this thread. Maybe change the tithe to GRRRRROH.

To be fair, that was before business started to slide upward to where they felt comfortable handing out gigantic contracts to guys they wanted to keep. Granted they clearly didn't want to keep Cedric (or really any of the guys they've let walk), they are at least more willing to pay a little more now in certain circumstances.
