Live on PPV from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA
The show opens with a video package set to “I Put A Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. The video runs down the lineup for the show and primarily focuses on the growing animosity between Nick Bockwinkel and Killer Kowalski.
Announcers Bill Mercer and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome fans from ringside. Mercer runs down some of the key matchups while Heenan comments that he can’t wait to see the main event and wishes Bockwinkel luck. Mercer sends things over to ring announcer Howard Finkel.
Open Challenge: The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs. ?
• Sheik & Volkoff make their entrance waving their respective flags. Volkoff starts to sing the Russian national anthem, but The Killer Bees interrupt and make their RWF debut!
• Volkoff is irate, but the Bees take turns working on him. Bee #1 halts Volkoff with an airplane spin and goes for the cover! Volkoff powers out!
• The Bees nail Volkoff with the Killer Dropkick! Bee #2 hooks the leg! Volkoff powers out again!
• Volkoff feels the Bee Sting! Bee #2 makes the cover, but Volkoff somehow gets the shoulder up! Mercer mentions that Volkoff is one tough son of a gun.
• Volkoff manages to reverse an overhead suplex and makes a quick tag to Sheik. A wound up Sheik spits at Bee #2 and sinks on a nasty abdominal stretch!
• Sheik transitions to the Camel Clutch! Bee #1 jumps in to break it up!
• Bee #1 catches Sheik in an airplane spin and goes for the pin attempt, but Sheik kicks out with force!
• Sheik feels the Bee Sting! Sheik barely gets the shoulder up!
• Bee #2 leaps off the turnbuckle for a crossbody, but Sheik ducks and Bee #2 crashes into the referee! As Bee #2 attempts to help the referee, Sheik sneaks in a few kicks from his loaded boot! Sheik makes the cover, but the referee is still out! Bee #2 surprises Sheik with a flying head scissors and goes for a cover of his own! The referee is still unresponsive! The crowd is going crazy!
• The ref recovers just in time to see Volkoff eat a second Bee Sting! Bee #2 makes the cover and the ref counts to three!

“Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews Red Bastien backstage about his upcoming matchup. Bastien admits that it won’t be an easy night, but he’ll do anything to get his hands on Buddy Rose.
Red Bastien vs. “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy(w/”Playboy” Buddy Rose)
• Bundy dominates the early action hitting Bastien with a powerslam and a backbreaker as Rose cheerleads at ringside.
• Bastien surprises the big man with a flying body press and his patented flying dropkicks! Rose is animated and starts pounding on the apron to encourage Bundy!
• Frustrated by his quicker opponent, Bundy gouges the eyes of Bastien and tosses him to the floor!
• As Bastien exchanges words with Rose, Bundy sneaks up from behind and smashes him with a steel chair to the back! The referee calls for the bell!
Winner: Red Bastien by DQ
“The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase vs. Bobo Brazil
• Before the bell rings, DiBiase walks over to Brazil and attempts to pay him off with a large wad of cash. Bobo takes the money and seems to consider the offer before he angrily throws the money in DiBiase’s face! The crowd is going wild!
• Brazil immediately throws DiBiase out of the ring and the men engage in a wild brawl around ringside and the announce table. The referee lets things go until DiBiase gets his hands on the bell and manages to smack Brazil in the temple!
Winner: Bobo Brazil by DQ
Afterwards, referees had to pull DiBiase away from the fallen Brazil – DiBiase laughed and could be heard calling Brazil an idiot.
Another teaser video airs. This time the camera zooms into an empty hospital room with a heart monitor. The monitor beeps a few times then suddenly flatlines. A graphic pops up that says “Next Week.”
The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy & Johnny) make their entrance and introduce the crowd to their new manager – Captain Lou Albano! Albano said he was there to lead an already good team to greatness. Before Albano could say much more, The Road Warriors storm the ring!
The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal) vs. The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy & Johnny) (w/Captain Lou Albano)
• Hawk sends Johnny inside-out with a boot to the face! Hawk ducks down for a back body drop, but Johnny turns it into a piledriver! Johnny climbs up top and downs Hawk with a flying clothesline! Johnny poses like the Warriors and the crowd boos!
• Jimmy flies from the high rent distract and connects with his Top Rope Elbow! Hawk easily powers out of the pin attempt!
• Animal joins in on the action and the Warriors execute a spike piledriver on Johnny! Albano is pacing at ringside!
• Hawk starts to get some momentum going against Jimmy and hits a gutwrench suplex. Jimmy bails to the floor to receive council from Albano. A frustrated Hawk jumps out of the ring, hoists up the steel steps, and runs them into Jimmy as he turns around! Albano runs from Hawk as the referee calls for the bell!
Winners: The Valiant Brothers by DQ
As The Road Warriors stay near the ringside area and argue with the referee about the disqualification loss, Albano tosses the Valiants foreign objects and they attack the Warriors from behind. Albano joins in on the beatdown as both Animal and Hawk are left laying.
During intermission, Mercer and Heenan recap the card so far and have a discussion about the abundance of disqualifications. Heenan blames it on the Pittsburgh water. Hawk suddenly makes it to his feet and angrily tears the microphone away from Heenan! Hawk shouts into the camera and challenges The Valiant Brothers to meet The Road Warriors in a rematch at the next PPV!
No-DQ Match: The Sandman vs. Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
• As the opening bell rings both men rush towards one another and exchange heavy blows as the crowd cheers on!
• Sandman scores with a White Russian Leg Sweep and makes the cover, but Valentine powers out!
• Sandman brandishes his trusty Singapore Cane and cracks it over Valentine’s skull! Sandman looks for the pin, but Johnny Valentine jumps into the ring and levels Sandman with the Atomic Skullcrusher! Johnny throws his son over the body of the Sandman and orders the referee to count! Sandman somehow manages to kick out!
• Johnny helps his son get to his feet and then fires him up with an encouraging slap to the face.
• Greg executes a piledriver and a weakened Sandman rolls to the floor. Johnny smashes Sandman into the steel post and sends him back inside the ring!
• Greg continues the assault with a neckbreaker, Valentine chops, and yet another piledriver. Sandman convulses on the mat as the announcers question if this needs to continue.
• Greg sinks on the figure four leglock and the Sandman attempts to fight, but passes out from the pain!
Winner: Greg “The Hammer” Valentine
Afterwards, the Valentines cracked beers and poured them over the unconscious Sandman.
Harley Race, “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers, & Gorgeous George(w/Cherie Dupre) vs. The Detroyer, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, & Frank Gotch
• George orders Dupre to heavily sanitize the mat where the Valentines poured beer onto Sandman.
• Race grabs a headlock on Destroyer. Destroyer reverses free, hits a sensational suplex, and rolls over for the quick cover! Race kicks out!
• George and Snuka now facing off. George has his running shoes on and wants nothing to do with the Snuka! George manages to lock on a figure four leglock, but Snuka breaks free!
• Gotch and Rogers are battling now. Gotch sinks on the dreaded Gotch Toehold! Rogers reaches the ropes to break it up!
• Snuka finally gets his hands on George! “Superfly” connects with a headbutt then a leap frog and chop combination before making the cover! George barely gets the shoulder up!
• Rogers gets a nearfall on Gotch following a jumping knee smash!
• Destroyer and Race square off again. Destroyer looks for a hiptoss, but Race counters with a headlock. Destroyer slips free from the headlock and executes a sensational suplex out of nowhere! Race kicks out!
• Destroyer immediately locks on the figure four leglock! Race withstands the pain as long as he can but eventually has to tap!
Winners: The Destroyer, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, & Frank Gotch
Mercer and Heenan talk about next Sunday’s episode of “Wrestle Weekly TV” and hype up a huge announcement! Heenan also brings up those mysterious videos that have been counting down to February 12th. Mercer previews the main event and a short video recaps the recent happenings between Kowalski and Bockwinkel.
MAIN EVENT
Killer Kowalski vs. Nick Bockwinkel
• Kowalski charges at Bockwinkel! Bockwinkel shoots in and immediately hooks on a Boston crab looking for a quick victory! Kowalski easily powers out!
• Bockwinkel nails a piledriver and then executes a bridging back suplex looking for the pin! Kowalski powers out again!
• The action spills to the floor where Kowalski bounces Bockwinkel’s head off the apron. Bockwinkel sells it bigtime as the crowd goes ballistic!
• Back in the ring, Kowalski lands Bombs Away and makes the cover! Bockwinkel gets the shoulder up!
• Bockwinkel Irish whips Kowalski to the corner. Bockwinkel rushes in, but Kowalski moves at the last second! Bockwinkel crashes into the turnbuckle and Kowalski schoolboys him! Bockwinkel kicks out at the last second!
• Both men are countering each other left and right! Kowalski snags a headlock, delivers a big punch, and hooks the leg! Bockwinkel barely kicks out!
• Kowalski looking for a big kick – Bockwinkel avoids it and rolls him up with a handful of tights! Kowalski powers out!
• As Kowalski makes it back to his feet, Bockwinkel blindsides him with a knee smash to the back and quickly makes the cover! Kowalski is pinned!
Winner: Nick Bockwinkel
Afterwards, Bockwinkel locks on his signature sleeper hold until Kowalski passes out! Referees and officials pour out from the back to stop the carnage, but Bockwinkel manages to keep it locked on for several minutes! EMTs tend to Kowalski and begin loading him onto a stretcher as the screen fades to black.
