RWF presents “Wrestle Weekly TV” Episode #13
Sunday, April 23rd, 2017
Taped from RWF Studios in Chicago, IL Bill Mercer and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome viewers from ringside. Mercer states that RWF officials have been busy signing matches for the upcoming “Retribution” PPV in Milwaukee, WI on May 7th. Just signed is a tag team bout where “The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy will meet “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody! The fans pop as Mercer announces one more match – a rematch between Gorgeous George and Red Bastien! The fans pop louder. Heenan brings up Bastien’s eye injury and claims it must be some sort of typo on Mercer’s paper. Mercer reminds viewers of the main event featuring taped footage of Frank Gotch and The Destroyer in Japan before sending it to the ring. Sabu & Bobo Brazil vs. Grant Rusk & Bob CrabappleCrabapple looks for a headlock on Brazil, but the big man nails a big hammer punch and a Bobo body slam. Mercer mentions that Sabu and Brazil have accepted The Valentine’s challenge for a Captain’s Match at “Retribution” although they have yet to find a partner. Sabu attempts a Triple Jump Moonsault and Crabapple rolls out of the way. Rusk jumps in and immediately eats a piledriver from Sabu. Sabu executes a slingshot leg drop and tags Brazil back in. Brazil downs Rusk with the Coco Butt and makes the cover. Winners: Sabu & Bobo Brazil
A pretape promo airs from “The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy. An irate DiBiase claims that he would be RWF World Champion if it wasn’t for Bruiser Brody sticking his nose where it didn’t belong. DiBiase hands Bundy a large wad of cash and orders him to squash them like bugs at “Retribution.” “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers vs. Wade SummersRogers is off to an aggressive start with a hip toss and an atomic drop. Rogers viciously sends Summers shoulder-first into the pole and makes a quick cover for a nearfall. Rogers makes another cover with his feet on the ropes for leverage, but Summers manages to kick out. Mercer states that Rogers must have something on his mind. Rogers nails a jumping knee smash and covers Summers for the quick win. Winner: “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers
Following the bout, Rogers makes his way over to the announce table and speaks into Bill Mercer’s microphone. Rogers mentions Harley Race’s interview from last week and states that he wants an opportunity to become the number one contender for the RWF Championship. “If anyone is going to take care of Bockwinkel after Kowalski gets through with him in that cage, it’s going to be The Nature Boy.” Backstage “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. Okerlund welcomes Duggan to the RWF and asks what he has planned after his debut last week. “Gene, I just couldn’t stand by anymore are listen to the anti-American propaganda being spouted by The Iron Sheik. This is the USA – the land of the free and the home of the brave. If you don’t love it, leave it! On May 7th, Ol’ Hacksaw is going to teach The Iron Sheik a thing or two about respecting the red, white, and blue. And Volkoff, tough guy, if you get involved I’ll have this waiting for you – HOOOOOO!” Hacksaw swings the 2x4 and gives a thumbs up. A pretape promo airs from The Road Warriors. Hawk states that fans have probably been wondering where they’ve been since “Gold Rush.” Hawk says that they had to do some “deep comtemplatin’ and thinkin” following their loss. Animals says that they focused too much on The Valiants and admitted to underestimating The Killer Bees. Animal explains that the Warriors are now refocused and have their eyes on the prize. “Bees, see you at Retribution!” Hawk snarls. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan conducts a phone interview with RWF World Champion Nick Bockwinkel from his home in Beverly Hills. Heenan asks him what he thinks about RWF threatening to strip him off the championship if he doesn’t show up to “Retribution.” Bockwinkel mentions the unsafe working conditions and claims that the championship is safe in a beautiful display case above his fireplace. Bockwinkel calls Kowalski a jealous brute bitter over his lack of success in RWF. Heenan mentions that he is worried about what could happen when Bockwinkel is locked inside that steel cage. Bockwinkel laughs and calls himself the greatest wrestler in the world – “walls of steel aren’t going to change that fact,” he states. Bill Mercer talks the fact that Frank Gotch and The Destroyer will be making their RWF returns at “Retribution” to challenge The Valiant Brothers for the RWF Tag Team Championships. Mercer mentions their recent success on a Japanese tour and pitches it to our taped main event. Frank Gotch & The Destroyer vs. Giant Baba & Antonio InokiGotch and Inoki put on a wrestling clinic for the Japanese fans. Gotch manages to hook on a crossface and armbar combination before tagging in Destroyer. Destroyer lands a handstand kneedrop. Inoki scrambles back and makes the defensive tag to Baba. Baba looks for a textbook suplex, but Destoyer blocks and makes a blind tag to Gotch. Gotch shocks Baby with an Iowa backdrop and sinks on the Gotch Toehold! Inoki quickly jumps in to break it up. Gotch immediately locks on the Gotch Toehold again! Destroyer prevents Inoki from breaking things up again, but Baba refuses to tap. A determined Gotch executes two more Iowa backdrops on Baba and hooks the leg. Baba barely gets the shoulder up! Destroyer tags back in and climbs to the high rent district. Baba sends him flying back to the mat and tags in Inoki. Inoki nails a dropkick then attemps a bodyslam. Destroyer slips out of the slam and hooks on the Intelligent Sleeper Hold. Destroyer follows with a sensational suplex. Gotch back in and sinks on the guillotine choke. The crowd gasps then applauds as Inoki makes it to the ropes. Gotch transitions to the Gotch Toehold and Inoki makes it to the ropes again. Destroyer hits the Bombs Away kneedrop and then sinks on the figure four leglock in the center of the ring. Inoki fights for a while before reluctantly tapping! Winners: Frank Gotch & The Destroyer
Mercer closes the show talking about Gotch and Destroyer’s impressive victory over their legendary opponents. Mercer tells fan to tune in next week where “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka goes one one one with “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy, RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers will be in action, and Killer Kowalski returns to the ring!

RWF presents “Wrestle Weekly TV” Episode #14
Sunday, April 30th, 2017 Taped from RWF Studios in Chicago, IL The show begins with “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka and Bruiser Brody pacing around in the ring already waiting for the opening match. Bill Mercer and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan welcome viewers as Bundy makes his entrance. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka w/Bruiser Brody vs. “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy w/”The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiaseBundy gains the advantage early with an eye gouge and a big running powerslam that rattles the ring. Bundy sends his opponent to the ropes and Snuka surprises him with a quick dropkick. The fans erupt as Snuka nails a pair of headbutts and then a leapfrog and chop combination. Bundy retreats to the floor. As an argument between Brody and DiBiase distracts the referee, Snuka smacks the big man across the back with a ringside chair. Back in the ring, Snuka connects with a flying headbutt. DiBiase climbs up on the apron, but Snuka sends him back to the floor with a quick chop. Snuka hooks the leg, but Bundy manages to kick out. Snuka tosses Bundy to the outside. An impatient Brody sends Bundy face-first into the steel post. The referee call for the bell as both teams begin brawling before RWF officials pour out from the back to break them up. Winner: “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy by DQ
Bill Mercer informs viewers that the RWF brass have signed two number one contender matches for next week’s “Retribution” PPV event. First, the top tag team challenger will be decided when The Killer Bees take on The Road Warriors. Also, the number one contender to Nick Bockwinkel’s RWF World Championship will be decided when Harley Race battles “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers! Backstage “Mean” Gene Okerlund interviews Bobo Brazil and Sabu. Okerlund questions both men about the upcoming Captain’s match at “Retribution” and who they have found to be their partner. Brazil soberly states that they have been unable to find someone willing to team up with them. Okerlund wonders aloud if wrestlers are afraid to potentially meet Ox Baker in the ring or perhaps wrestlers are simply unwilling to team up with Sabu. Brazil explains that even if they don’t find a partner they will still be ready for a fight. Sabu points towards the sky as the interview ends. Non-Title Match RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano vs. Martin Murray & Rod HoneycutMurray manages to grab a side headlock on Johnny. Albano yells at the referee and diverts his attention allowing Johnny to kick Murray square in the groin. Jimmy tags in and lands a fistdrop for a nearfall. Johnny enters again and locks on a Boston crab in the middle of the ring. Murray has no choice but to tap out as Albano hoists up the tag team gold. Winners: RWF Tag Team Champions The Valiant Brothers w/Captain Lou Albano
A pretaped promo from Red Bastien airs. Bastien’s left eye is covered with an eye patch. Bastien cuts a fiery promo running down Gorgeous George and his cowardly tactics. Bastien makes a vague reference to already running one rule breaker out of the company (“Playboy” Buddy Rose). Bastien suddenly rips off the eye patch to reveal that he is fully healed and cleared to compete. “Dupre, I’m only going to give you one warning honey – if you get involved next Sunday I’m going to show you what a real man is capable of,” warns Bastien. “Mean” Gene Okerlund hosts a pretape segment from the RWF news desk. Okerlund hypes up the “Retribution” PPV for next Sunday and runs down the impressive lineup. Okerlund also claims that there have been rumors of an Earth-shattering announcement that will forever change the RWF. Tune in to “Retribution” to find out! Killer Kowalski vs. Antonio RigatoniThe crowd goes bananas for the return of Kowalski to in-ring competition. Mercer talks about Kowalski being so laser-focused on getting revenge against Nick Bockwinkel that he doesn’t even care about the RWF World Championship. Heenan makes a crack about Rigatoni having enemies in the RWF match-making offices. Kowalski cracks the youngster with a pair of kidney punches and then sends him face-first into the turnbuckle. Rigatoni takes a huge bump off the buckle and flies back into the center of the ring. Kowalski continues with a headlock and punch combination for a nearfall. Kowalski waits for Rigatoni to rise and then locks on the Claw Hold. The referee starts to raise Rigatoni’s hand to check for responsiveness, but quickly calls for the bell as Rigatoni collapses to the mat. Winner: Killer Kowalski
Bill Mercer conducts a show closing ringside interview with Kowalski following the victory. Mercer asks Kowalski what he has planned for Bockwinkel at “Retribution.” Kowalski mentions his time spent in the hospital following his previous match against Bockwinkel. “For every day I spent recovering, I’m going to send Bockwinkel’s head flying into the side of the steel cage. There’s a reason why my name is Killer and Bockwinkel is going to find that out very, very soon.”

RWF Retribution
May 7th from Milwaukee Arena in Milwaukee, WI Dark Match: The Crusher vs. “Sailor” Art ThomasThe capacity crowd shows their support for both of the Wisconsin natives. Thomas executes a pair of bodyslams and works over Crusher with a bearhug. Crusher retaliates with power forearms and a stomach claw. On the outside, Crusher grabs Thomas in a headlock and attempts to ram him into the post. Thomas pushes him off and Crusher collides with the post. Thomas weakens Crusher with another bearhug before nailing a jumping headbutt for the victory. Winner: “Sailor” Art Thomas “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan vs. The Iron Sheik w/Nikolai VolkoffDuggan enters the arena holding his trusty 2x4 with one hand and waving Old Glory with the other. Sheik lands a sidewinder suplex right out of the gate and kicks Duggan with his loaded boot for good measure. Duggan catches a kick attempt and rallies with a spinning bodyslam and a Tough Guy clothesline. Sheik bails to the floor to talk strategy with Volkoff. Duggan grabs his 2x4 and uses it to clothesline both men on the outside. The referee calls for the bell as Duggan yells “Hooooooo” and gives the crowd a thumbs up. Sheik and Volkoff scamper to the back. Winner: The Iron Sheik w/Nikolai Volkoff by DQ #1 Contenders Tag Team Match The Road Warriors vs. The Killer BeesAnimal wants Killer Bee #1 to start the match with him. Bill Mercer explains that Animal wants revenge after his embarrassing loss at Gold Rush. Animal powers out of a guillotine and bounces off the ropes with a devastating flying shoulder ram for a nearfall. Animal tortures Killer Bee #1 in a camel clutch before making the tag to Hawk and executing a nasty spike piledriver. Hawk gorilla presses Killer Bee #1 and tosses him out to the floor. Mercer states that the Road Warriors are more focused and sadistic than ever. As Killer Bee #1 recovers on the floor, Hawk jumps out of the ring and charges at him. Killer Bee #1 gives Hawk a fireman’s carry and sends him skidding dangerous onto the announce table. The referee calls for the bell as Killer Bee #2 helps his partner and they exit. Not happy with their victory and embarrassed yet again, The Road Warriors shake the guardrail in frustration and throw chairs around the ringside area. Winners: The Road Warriors by DQ Red Bastien vs. Gorgeous George w/Cherie DupreBastien, seeking revenge from his eye injury at Gold Rush, takes his aggressions out on George. Bastien gets consecutive nearfalls after a flying body press and his signature atomic drop. Dupre jumps on the apron and attempts to spray Bastien with Chanel #10, but Bastien ducks and she sprays George instead. Bastien rolls George up and George barely gets the shoulder up. Bastien hits the ropes and Dupre trips him up. With Bastien distracted, George chop blocks him and locks on the spinning toe hold. Bastien is forced to tap out. Winner: Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupre
After his victory, George continues to brutally assault Bastien. Bobo Brazil rushes out from the back to aid his former tag team partner, but it’s too late. The announcers speculate about the severity of Bastien’s potential injury. 2/3 Falls Captain’s Match: Greg “The Hammer” Valentine (captain), Johnny Valentine, & Ox Baker vs. Sabu (captain) & Bobo BrazilBobby Heenan laughs and makes fun of Sabu and Brazil on commentary for being unable to find a partner. Baker traps Sabu in a corner and gnaws at his forehead. Baker runs towards the corner, but Sabu lifts a foot up and dazes him. Sabu sends Baker to the turnbuckle and quickly grabs a chair from the floor. The crowd goes wild as Sabu connects with Air Sabu and then nails Baker with an Arabian facebuster. The ref calls for the bell. Winners of 1st Fall: The Valentines & Ox Baker by DQ
As Baker recovers on the mat, members from both teams argue in the ring. The lights in the arena suddenly go out for a few moments. When they turn back on, THE SHEIK is standing in the ring. The Valentines are shocked and Brazil looks surprised as well. Sheik gouges Johnny in the eyes. Johnny attempts an elbow to the head, but it has zero effect. As Greg unknowingly distracts the referee with complaints, The Sheik stabs at Johnny with a foreign object. Brazil tags himself in on Sheik’s shoulder and nails a Coco Butt for a nearfall. The match disintegrates into a huge brawl – Sheik and Baker brawl around ringside while Sabu clotheslines Greg over the top rope. Sabu tags in and attempts a Triple Jump Moonsault, but wobbles on the top rope and ends up missing. Greg becomes legal and sinks on the figure four leglock. Sabu is able to reach the bottom rope. Baker tags in and clocks Sabu with a knee drop to the head. Baker makes the cover, but Sheik jumps in and attacks him with a spike directly in front of the official. The ref throws the match out as The Valentines avoid further altercations. Winners of 2nd Fall and the match: The Valentines & Ox Baker by DQ
During a brief intermission, “Mean” Gene Okerlund officially announces news that will change RWF forever. RWF will be ceasing their television tapings as their weekly television events will now be broadcast live from locations across the nation! RWF will also be holding untelevised events. RWF will announce upcoming dates and locations shortly. “The Billion Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & “The Walking Condominium” King Kong Bundy vs. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser BrodyBundy and Brody trade power moves from the get go. Brody stuns Bundy with a dropkick, but Bundy swats down a second attempt and executes a running powerslam. The action spills to the floor where Bundy viciously runs Brody into the post multiple times. The referee issues a warning and then has no choice but to call for the bell. DiBiase laughs and hides behind Bundy as Snuka attends to Brody. Winners: “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody by DQ #1 Contenders Match Harley Race vs. “Nature Boy” Buddy RogersThese two put on a wrestling clinic in what was perhaps the greatest RWF match of the year so far. After numerous counters, Race nails a diving headbutt and several swinging neckbreakers for a number of close nearfalls. Rogers avoids an elbow drop and connects on a series of dropkicks and knee smashes for some nearfalls of his own. Momentum shifts back and forth as both men counter each other left and right. Race takes advantage with a headbutt and follows up with his patented piledriver. Rogers gets the shoulder up at the very last second. A clearly frustrated Race executes another piledriver to secure the victory. Winner: Harley Race RWF Tag Team Championship The Valiant Brothers © w/Captain Lou Albano vs. Frank Gotch & The DestroyerGotch and Johnny trade holds before Gotch catches him in a crossface/armbar combination and peppers him with punches. Gotch hoists a disoriented Johnny up with an Iowa backdrop for a nearfall. Albano is pacing at ringside shouting at his men. Jimmy becomes legal after the Valiants secretly choke Gotch with the tag rope. Gotch suprises Jimmy with a series of punches and makes the hot tag to Destroyer. Destroyer runs roughshod and hooks Jimmy in the figure four leglock. Johnny jumps in to break it up. The Valiants regain control following a double clothesline. Somehow, the intelligent Destroyer makes the defensive tag to Gotch. Gotch locks Johnny in the Gotch Toehold, but Jimmy forces the break. Jimmy becomes legal and hits Gotch with his super elbow for a nearfall. Johnny takes out Gotch with a spinning neckbreaker, but Gotch refuses to stay down. Johnny tosses Gotch out of the ring. Albano hands Johnny a roll of quarters and Johnny deliberately punches Gotch and sends quarters flying everywhere. The referee signals for the bell as Albano retreats with his men. Winners: Frank Gotch & The Destroyer by DQ. (The Valiants remain RWF Tag Team Champions) Unsanctioned Non-Title Steel Cage Match RWF World Champion Nick Bockwinkel vs. Killer KowalskiBill Mercer explains on commentary that there are several ways to win the steel cage match – pinfall, submission, referee stoppage, or escaping the cage by climbing out or exiting through the door. Kowalski angrily lumbers after his rival. Bockwinkel ducks the initial charge and executes a pair of back suplexes. Bockwinkel orders the door open and attempts to quickly exit, but Kowalski cuts him off. Bockwinkel hooks on the figure four leglock and The Bockwinkel Sleeper as Kowalski breaks free of both. The champion flings Kowalski face first into the side of the cage. Kowalski is now sporting a dripping crimson mask. Bockwinkel goes back to his leglock and sleeper, but Kowalski battles free from both attempts. Blood is pouring like a faucet from Kowalski’s face. Mercer mentions that it might be time to stop this match for the well-being of Kowalski. The fans erupt as Kowalski blocks a kick and executes a shoulder breaker on the champion. Kowalski tortures Bockwinkel with a stomach claw as the champion wails in pain. Kowalski sinks on his Claw Hold, but Bockwinkel manages to hold on. Bobby Heenan shoves off his headset and stands up in silent worry. Kowalski jumps off the second rope with a Bombs Away knee drop. Bockwinkel thrashes on the mat, but manages to kick out from the pin at the last second. Kowalski pushes the champion towards the ropes and attempts to choke him. A desperate Bockwinkel grabs hold of Kowalski’s trunks and sends him headfirst into the side of the steel cage. Bockwinkel chokes his opponent on the second rope as blood runs like a river down Kowalski’s face. The ref notices that Kowalski is no longer conscious and calls for the bell. Heenan rejoices on commentary as Bockwinkel backs away from Kowalski and collapses to the mat in exhaustion. Winner: Nick Bockwinkel

Really enjoying this 'old schcool' fed and am still popping for the hapless enhancement talents- Crabapple?! rigatoni?! Excellent! Sailor Art Thomas too? Where did he come from?! Pleased to see Kowalski back- one of my all time faves. Good stuff Well thanks, I appreciate the feedback! I'm glad you enjoy the enhancement talent. Rigatoni is probably my favorite - I wish I had the time/talent to actually make cards for guys like him and Crabapple. "Sailor" Art Thomas is from Fitchburg, WI. Seriously though, that card is from a Maple Leaf Wrestling bootleg set (I apologize for not knowing who made it). Fun fact: Thomas worked at the now defunct Oscar Meyer factory in Madison. He also didn't drive so either hitched rides with other talent (including Bobby Heenan) or took trains - this explains why he only worked in the Midwest and Canada. I hope Kowalski can get some momentum going. I was kind of disappointed with all of the DQ finishes, but blame the dice!
