Should they turn him heel? I say Yes especially now the chances of him getting cheered much is very slim. The Fans hate him and now that he beat and retired the Undertaker they hate him even more
Look at Tonights Raw. Reigns gets destroyed by the monster heel Braun Strowman who gets cheered and the fans chant you deserve it to Reigns
Might be the best thing for his career to turn him now. Same thing happened to the Rock who was booed earlier then Reigns was in his career but the best thing that happened to him was he turned heel and his career skyrocketed
Not saying thats what will happen with Reigns but I think its a mistake if they don't turn him

It would be a massive mistake not to turn him right now. He just retired Undertaker... how do you not turn him heel.

Sometimes heels sell more merchandise then faces. The Fans are picky but if they are a fan of you they most likely still support you as a heel and he could get new fans

Because he sells more merch than any other full time guy? Sometimes heels sell more merchandise then faces. The Fans are picky but if they are a fan of you they most likely still support you as a heel and he could get new fans This is a really out of touch way to look at it especially given that the most recent example that you can use is Rock's heel turn...20 years ago. Roman's primary fanbase are, much like Cena, women and kids. Kids generally stop liking good guys when they become bad guys and guess what happens then? All the shirts, masks, action figures, DVDs of Roman...they don't sell anymore and you're not going to make that money back from the adult males who hate him now. The Rocky Maivia example doesn't hold water either. Rocky was never pushed as a top guy *until* he turned heel. That was a different era when guys had more creative freedom, the target audience was much different and the product was much different as well. Roman, on the other hand, has been pushed as THE guy for over two years now. You can't switch him heel and expect things to go the way they did with Rock. Roman's not going to talk differently, wrestle differently or look differently. He would be exactly the same. Wanting to turn him heel now is as dumb as wanting to turn Cena in 2010...maybe even dumber. Roman is the one active guy on the roster who sells anywhere near as much merch as Cena. Why, if you were WWE, would you turn him heel and lose all of that money when you know on the other side of that turn are the same exact reactions from the adults and those kids might not even watch or ask their parents for wrestling related stuff anymore? Think about it.

Kayfabe went out the door a long time ago. If people like Roman, they'll continue to cheer for him because they think he's a great guy who's just playing a character. It would be like your favorite actor playing a movie villain. You may not like the character, but you still like the man. But for the fans who can't stand Reigns, he could really give them a reason to boo him if he turned heel. But it still wouldn't have the same impact now as it would have if it happened a year or two ago.

Then they never should have had him be the one to retire Taker. Either way you look at it, it's a mistake. He may sell merch but every single segment he is ever shown on right now is ruined by the deplorable reaction he gets from every crowd he steps in front of.

He may sell merch but every single segment he is ever shown on right now is ruined by the deplorable reaction he gets from every crowd he steps in front of. Here's the thing, though: it's not a mistake. Someone had to beat Undertaker to retire him and they gave it to the top guy. They're thinking for the future. Roman makes them more money off of merch than anyone else on the current roster, he's second only to Cena. There was literally nobody else that he could have realistically lost to in his retirement match. Legitimately anyone else on the roster stands the chance of being fumbled, WWE have shown complete commitment to Roman. The fans boo him because they want their guys in the main event, just like they did with Cena. The fans say he sucks because he beats the guys they like, just like they did with Cena. You know what else Cena and Roman have in common? They make the WWE a shit ton of money and it makes no sense to turn them heel because you lose all of that money you make from them because the same people who want to see them turn heel would never buy anything with them on it anyways.

I'm not even a particularly big fan of Roman Reigns but good lord in heaven above it's not hard to figure out why they haven't turned him heel or why they're probably not gonna turn him heel.

nWo were heels, they sold more merch than anyone.
I really dont think it matters either way. All the same people watch wrestling. There's no such thing as a casual fan. Not in the sense we use it. Nowadays a casual fan is just someone who watches RAW and the PPVs each month.
Face? Heel? Tweener? Doesn't matter. No new fans to gain or lose regardless.
