A bunch of real big independant hitters seemed to all say they want in with this after NWA was declared "open for business." The two that interested me the most was Michael Elgin and Joey Janela. I'd love to see Storm vs Elgin, and I just really like anything Janela does.

Did anyone watch the Tim Storm vs. Nick Aldiss NWA title match from CWF Hollywood? I did. Aside from sort of a sloppy finish, I thought it was a decent match! The talent is good there, wrestlers are in decent shape and can give good matches. If given some more time, they could be there with the others soon.

Did anyone watch the Tim Storm vs. Nick Aldiss NWA title match from CWF Hollywood? I was there live. The crowd was super hyped for it. Probably my favorite thing was watching the FB live stream numbers climb during the live stream. It was close to 600 people watching when it started and more that 1600 by the middle of the match, minutes later. The streaming was a total last minute idea so kudos to Dave Marquez and his tech crew for getting it all set up and running well (despite some mic issues). The match it self was decent. The ending left a little to be desired, not sure what happened there, but I love how Lagana has already started to spin it with Nick Aldis questioning how the match ended. Other than 'the ring is too small' (it's not), I didn't see any negative comments during the stream. It was only after when the smarks found the feed the bashing Tim Storm crap started. All in all, I'd say it was a success and it certainly got some wrestling fan's attention focused back on the product. Whether they will stay or not remains to bee seen. I'm interested to see what happens next. And Tim Storm, Nick Aldis, Billy Corgan and Dave Lagana are all super nice and friendly. Fun to work with. And thanks for the share Grant. It's because of you I noticed it and watched! It was worth watching it, something different from the other stuff. It was alright for me!

Most of what I read was people hard on Nick but enjoying Tim so guess it just depends who was watching it.

One of the things I like about Tim Storm is that he looks like an old school NWA champion, not like an indy guy fresh out of the gym. He also has the grizzled veteran thing going for him.
If Corgan keeps the belt on him for another year, it will be great for the NWA championship. The worst thing they could do now is flipflop the belt a couple times.

For what it was, I really enjoyed it... I truly hope that the NWA can become relevant again... It has such a great history.

I’ve been watching the Ten sounds of Gold series.
Today I read an article concerning the NWA possibly getting a show on TBS. I really miss the old territory days. I know they are never coming back but I hope Corgan keeps the old school “pro wrestling is a combat sport” that the territories had. I’m going to throw my support behind this new NWA so long as Corgan doesn’t turn the NWA into WWE style sports entertainment.
