While I am excited for the new set, would like to flashback a couple of weeks on a recent edition of Superstar Pro Wrestling TV, from Niagara Falls, ONT.
Can-Am Television Title: Harley Race defends against Buddy Rogers, best-of-three falls with Morgan Dollar as referee. Race took two falls from Rogers using a VERTICAL SUPLEX to win the match. A classic mat encounter, which saw the blood flow and the fans on their feet throughout. Race was dominant in this showcase match for TV.
Interview segment with Bill Apter on the upcoming “Fall Brawl -Unlucky Lottery” from Buffalo, NY.
The event features a 15-Man Unlucky Lottery Battle Royal (matches determined by order of elimination).
A bonus bout is signed for Buffalo as Ted Dibiase defends against Bobo Brazil with Lou Thesz as special referee. Apter spoke with Dibiase about this match and Dibiase laid into Brazil verbally. Calling him a has-been and that the offer is still open for Brazil to become his own personal assistant. Brazil came onto the set and shoved Dibiase, but told him he would do more once he gets him in the ring. Brazil asked for Thesz to referee, as he felt only another wrestler could help enforce the rules. Dibiase has declared Mike Lano will document the match with an official photographic record to ensure no "monkey business" goes on among Thesz and Brazil.
Other matches from the Falls: Superfly Snuka def. Scott Casey Snuka was in control all the way as a couple of power slams setup Casey for a knee drop and pin.
Marty Jannetty def. Randy Savage, DQ Savage showed his intensity as he jumped Jannetty wildly before ring intros were finished. Once the Macho Man dials up the intensity however, it is tough to dial it back. The referee lost control early as he used a video cable to tie up Jannetty. The referee had enough of convincing Savage to keep the match inside and called for the bell.
Non-Televised: Chain Match: Pampero Firpo def. Bruiser Brody A wild, bloody encounter saw both men get busted open with the chain. Each of these wild men used the chain as a weapon, with each man dodging some scary blows which could have ended the bout. Firpo rolled out from one of these smashes and tied up a groggy Brody with a chain and EL GARFIO for the win. This feud is far from over.

With the advent of the expansion pack, plan to rectify confusion I have had with my tag-team division. I plan to stage a tournament using some of the classic arenas to crown the toughest team in a special Knockout tournament. To simulate the high-stakes, there are two referees per bout, with teams must get two DQ's before stopping the match. Hope this just allows me to simulate a warning system to get a true winner.
The final four is NO-DQ to a finish rules to guarantee a winner. Here is the Federal League Toughest Tag Team Tournament First Round Matchups, the tournament will determine the ULTIMATE Tag-Team Champions:
EAST BRACKET #1 - Road Warriors (Superstar Champions) #16 - East Coast Enforcers (DDP and Albano) From Atlantic City, NJ Casino Arena #8 - Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (North American Champions) #9 - Greg Valentine & Brutus Beefcake From Providence, RI, Civic Center #3 - Rock and Roll Express (Atlantic Champions) #14 - Heavenly Bodies From Buffalo, NY Auditorium
#6 - Midnight Express (Southern Champions) #11 - The Fantastics From Baltimore, MD Arena

WEST Quarterfinal at Oakland, CA Convention Center #7 seed DR.DEATH & TERRY GORDY (All Pacific Champions) def. #10 seed Midwest Champions THE HENNIGS.
Doc and Gordy looked sharp here, methodically isolating the elder Hennig in the early going. Curt saved his dad from a pinfall, but a wild brawl broke out which almost resulted in a DQ for the Hennigs. When the smoke cleared, Gordy had Larry woozy and landed a PILEDRIVER to move to a big showdown against Universal Champs, the GLADIATORS.
Bonus Match: 8MW CHAMPION Lazer def. Dark Invader as Lazer moved out of a deathjump and clamped in the LAZERLOCK.
Invader almost escaped twice before succumbing to the pressure! Great win.
Next event continues with double-shot action from the EAST Bracket in Buffalo as Atlantic Champions The Rock & Roll Express face Jim Cornette's Heavenly Bodies. Randy "Macho Man" Savage takes on the Jet Set Strutter in a special bonus match for the matinee.

A special Christmas Holiday double-shot with two matches from the EAST Bracket.
EAST Quarterfinal at Buffalo, NY Auditorium. #3 seeds, Atlantic Champions ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS def. #14 seeds HEAVENLY BODIES (Stan Lane & Tom Pritchard) with Jim Cornette. The Rock & Roll used the DOUBLE DROPKICK on Prichard to win but the Bodies attacked Gibson in a post-match scuffle. The ringside report has Gibson but early prognosis is he will likely return to 100% for his EAST semifinal match.
Bonus Match: Macho Man Randy Savage def. Jet Set Strutter[/font] Manic brawl to close the action in Buffalo. Savage smashed Strutter into a table and pinned him after a Flying Ax Handle.
EAST Quarterfinal at Baltimore, MD Arena #6 seeds MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (Condrey & Eaton) def. #11 seeds THE FANTASTICS Cornette was a distraction but it was Condrey's grit that finished Tommy Rogers - using a Shoulder Power Slam and FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP to advance to the semis. The Midnights will see their long-time rivals the ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS.
BONUS matches: Naughty List match - Santa Wolf put Bobby Heenan on the naughty list, ending the match quickly with the CLAW allowing him to get back on his route.
Buddy Rogers def. Bruiser Brody Rogers used his agility to finish this one as he dodged Brody's turnbuckle charge and locked in the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Brody would not submit but Rogers used the ropes to pin Brody while in the hold.

A New Year's Day show from the Rocky Mountains . . .
WEST Quarterfinal Denver, CO Auditorium #4 seeds TWIN TITANS Dude Brohan & Enormous Pierre def. #13 seeds the KING KONGS (Brody & Bundy). Probably the marquee match of round one featured two Super-Heavyweight Teams. The TITANS were explosive as they really controlled Bundy. The DUDE won using an unconventional finish - he surprised Bundy with a FLYING BODY PRESS off the turnbuckles for the win! Sending the crowd into a frenzy!
BONUS singles bout: Buzzsaw def. Dark Invader Buzzsaw dominated in this preparation for his tournament bout with 8MW Champion Lazer against the SHEEPHERDERS. A PowerSlam rocked the Darksider and used the ULTIMATE COMBO for the win.
The first round wraps up next from Phoenix as the #5 seed the BLADEBLASTERS (80MW champion Lazer and Buzzsaw) face the #12 seed THE SHEEPHERDERS, BUTCH & LUKE.
DUDE BROHAN butts heads with KING KONG BUNDY in a Denver rematch of sorts in the bonus match. See you at ringside!
