WEST Quarterfinal at Phoenix, AZ Veterans Memorial #5 seed BLADE BLASTERS (Lazer & Buzzsaw) def. #12 seed SHEEPHERDERS The brothers in paint dominated, as Buzzsaw did much of the damage but a Lazer Superplex rocked Luke. A GLADIATOR PRESS DROP polished off the crazy Kiwis and finished the first round action.
Bonus Match: Dude Brohan def. King Kong Bundy. Morgan Dollar was the referee for this battle of heavyweights and he planned to call a tight match with no funny business. Bundy hit the AVALANCHE early but Dude "BRO'd UP" and hit his LEG DROP for the quick win. The crowd went wild on the pin!

EAST SEMIFINALS at Boston, MA Garden #16 seed EAST COAST ENFORCERS (Page & Albano) def. #9 seed, THE DREAM TEAM, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. Page and Albano dominated Beefcake and used one of the Dream Team's old tricks: an eye gouge with a cigar by Albano to advance to the East Finals!! The Enforcers are the tournament's Cinderella team for sure, can they keep the momentum?
SUPERSTAR CHAMPION Hacksaw Duggan def. Ted Dibiase with Morgan Dollar as referee. Dollar ejected any questionable parties from ringside, especially Dr. Mike Lano. The ref stated that Bill Apter was the only authorized photographer for this match as Lano apparently only has a valid press license in a limited number of states. Duggan waffled Dibiase from the opening bell, winning in quick fashion using the FLYING SPEAR.

EAST SEMIFINALS at Philadelphia, PA #3 seed ROCK & ROLL EXPRESS defeated #6 seed MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (with Jim Cornette) A wild match between long-time rivals. Eaton saved Condrey from a sure-fire pinfall off a DOUBLE DROPKICK. The Rock and Roll connected again but this time it knocked out Condrey. Once the Midnights fully recovered, they attacked Morton from behind slamming Cornette's racket into the throat. While Morton was injured, he is expected to recover in time for his East Final match against the EAST COAST ENFORCERS.
Bonus Matches: Destroyer def. Harley Race, DQ This match had title implications but not a clean decision as Race was DQ'd for roughing up the referee after warning Race to break holds after Destroyer reaching the ropes.

Bonus Match: Slashmaster (with K. Blood) beat Warhawk (with Arizona Chance) The huge slasher was too much for Warhawk, especially when Keith Blood acted as a distraction at ringside. The SLAUGHTERHOUSE took down the Warhawk.

WEST semifinal at San Francisco, CA Civic Auditorium #4 seed TWIN TITANS def . #5 seed BLADE BLASTERS Big-time super tag-team showdown sold out the Civic Auditorium. The match had all superstars along with the current 80MW Champion Lazer, but the heavy hitters on the TITANS kept the BLADE BLASTERS on the defense. Lazer rallied with a diving clothesline nearly pinning Dude Brohan until Pierre made the save. All four men got into the ring and Lazer almost got counted out when Dude slammed him to the floor. Pierre tagged in using a GINORMOUS DROP and DUDE finished the match with a BIG BRO LEGDROP in a somewhat controversial finish.
Bonus Match #1: Dr. Death def. King Kong Bundy Match started slow but heated up as each man used heavy duty moves. Doc landed a Doctor Bomb on the floor, almost winning by count-out. He brought Bundy back in the ring with the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE which setup another Doctor Bomb for the win. Doc got a standing ovation for his show of strength.
Teacher vs. Student bonus match: CAN-AM TV Champion Lou Thesz vs. Tim Donst Teacher vs. student but Thesz sent a lesson to his fellow St.Louis native, wearing him down on the mat and using a GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP to win.

The tournament continues with the WEST finals from Los Angeles along with a couple of special bonus matches.
Bonus Match #1 from LOS ANGELES CLINCH (debut in special opening bout) def. HANDLEBAR FONTAINE. CLINCH, straight from Las Vegas and a stint with the Global Fight League, challenged the resident bare knuckle brawler in his debut here. These two combat specialists rained some heavy shots back and forth as it looked more like the Global Fight League rather than a wrestling match. CLINCH used an ULTIMATE KO COMBO to win and then he grabbed the mike and wanted to see what the best "rasslers" have to offer.
WEST finals at Los Angeles, CA Sports Arena #7 seeds All-Pacific Champions DR. DEATH and TERRY GORDY def. #4 seed TWIN TITANS, with Morgan Dollar and Terry Funk as the referees. Another marquee match-up as the All-Pacific Champions had their work cutout for them. 80MW Champion Lazer, also joined the commentary team to lend some insight to this match. The match was a classic. The teams locked in an epic power struggle going back and forth with several near pins. Highlights included: - DUDE hit a BIG LEG DROP on GORDY but DOC saved the day. - DOC used a tremendous press slam on PIERRE sending the crowd to its feet! - PIERRE almost pinned DOC with the GINOURMOUS DROP but DUDE broke it up. - 80MW Champion LAZER left the broadcast booth to argue with DUDE. LAZER's presence would come into play later on. - Terry Gordy used two PILEDRIVERS to pin PIERRE. The DUDE was distracted arguing with both LAZER and troubleshooting referee TERRY FUNK.
ALL PACIFIC CHAMPIONS, DOC & GORDY advance to the ULTIMATE TAG-LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL!
CAN-AM TV CHAMPION LOU THESZ def. DESTROYER, DQ. Thesz controlled the action on the mat but a few minutes in CLINCH walked to ringside jawing at THESZ. When the action spilled to the floor, CLINCH attacked THESZ forcing the DQ. Security broke it up, preventing further incident but Thesz was livid on the actions of this newcomer.
The EAST FINALS are next from Toronto with the winners scheduled to face for the ULTIMATE TAG LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP at the BUFFALO STAMPEDE. The annual rumble style battle royal was moved to Buffalo as Superstar Pro officials have moved SUPERBRAWL to CHICAGO. See you at ringside!

EAST finals at Toronto, ON Gardens Superstar Pro Wrestling Officials announced that the finals will have two referees assigned to each bout #3 seeds ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS def. #16 seed EAST COAST ENFORCERS, with Morgan Dollar and Ole Anderson for the referees. The clock struck Midnight for the tournament's Cinderella story. The Rock & Rolls used clever double-teaming on both Enforcers to wear down Albano. A DOUBLE DROPKICK almost won it but Page barely made the save. Another save saw Page trying to turn the tables on Morton but Gibson was aware enough to double-team Albano again resulting in the win for the ROCK & ROLLS. One half of the ULTIMATE TAG-LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP is set as the ATLANTIC CHAMPIONS win the EAST BRACKET!
Bonus Tag-Team Surprise Partner Superbout: The TWIN TITANS teamed with RANDY SAVAGE to face the BLADE BLASTERS and JET SET STRUTTER. Savage does not like Buzzsaw or the Strutter.
