Jim Ross: "Good evening, folks and welcome to WCW Saturday Night! Please welcome my broadcast partner, 'The Dean' Gordon Solie!"
Gordon Solie: "Thanks, Jim, and do we have a show tonight! In the main event, Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness will take on Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan's Heavenly Bodies to see exactly who will face the Sheepherders tomorrow night at SuperBrawl to become the NWA World Tag Team Champions!"
Ross: "That's right, Dean! And also tonight, we will find out who the final man in tomorrow night's NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament will be! Will it be Rob Van Dam or will it be 'The Condominium With Legs,' King Kong Bundy? Let's go to the ring and get the action started!"

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine w/Captain Lou Albano vs. Frank Dalton
Valentine, the wrestler's wrestler, took his time with Dalton, calculatingly working on the leg and knee before sinching in the Figure Four Leglock. Valentine won by submission, but refused to break the hold at the bell. Valentine kept the Figure Four locked in until Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake ran to the ring. Beefcake dropped and elbow on the Hammer and both men started brawling, until security came out to separate them. Once order was restored, Valentine and Albano were escorted to the back, Beefcake helped Dalton up and then stayed in the ring for his match.

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. The Masked Miser
Beefcake made short work of the masked man, putting him out with the Sleeper. After the match, Tony Schiavone came to the ring:
Schiavone: "Brutus, what happened there between you and Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine?"
Beefcake: "Tony, I was just getting ready for my match when I saw Valentine refusing to release that nasty Figure Four Leglock of his. I hate bullies, and I just came down here to put a stop to it!"
Schiavone: "Well, Brutus, in that case, it might make you happy to hear that I've just been given a message to pass on to you and all the great fans of the NWA from the booking committee: you will face Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine tomorrow night at SuperBrawl!"
Beefcake: "Oh, Tony, you just made my weekend! Someone might get a haircut tomorrow night!"

The Sheepherders w/Captain Lou Albano vs. Lenny Lane and Scotty 2 Hotty
The Sheepherders rolled right over Lane and Scotty, mercilessly beating them up before finally making a pin attempt. Miller pinned Lane after a Battering Ram. Will this be the result tomorrow night when the Sheepherders vie to become the first NWA World Tag Team Champions?

"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Nikolai Volkoff w/Daivari
Savage beat Volkoff quickly with the Flying Elbow Drop, and not even Daivari could help. After the match, Savage was joined by Schiavone: "Randy, we've just been told, and I know you have too, that your first round match tomorrow night will be against Bruiser Brody. What will be your strategy when dealing with someone as unpredictable as him?"
Savage: "Unpredictable? There's never been anyone in this business as unpredictable as 'The Macho Man!' I've already won the WWF title up in New York, it's time for a little Madness down south too!"
Schiavone: "Well, folks, you heard it! The Macho Man is ready for business! And now, it's time for a surprise match! The other six men that have qualified to be in the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament will now square off in a Six-Man Tag!"

Lou Thesz, Diamond Dallas Page, and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Bruiser Brody w/Kevin Sullivan, "The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Rodney, and The Iron Sheik w/Daivari
This match was a wild affair that went all over the ringside area. In the end, the additions of Sullivan, Rodney, and Daivari was too much for both the babyfaces and the ref to handle. While the ref was breaking up Danielson and Daivari, Rodney delivered a nasty underhook Powerbomb to DDP. Brody followed up with his Flying Knee Drop and got the 1-2-3. As DiBiase and Rodney laughed their way to the back, Schiavone made yet another appearance: "Folks, I'm just here to let everyone know, most importantly you, Mr. DiBiase, that NWA officials have decided to honor DDP's request to face you in the opening round tomorrow night!"

Ross: "What an announcement! SuperBrawl is shaping up to look to be pretty exciting!"
Solie: "Absolutely, Jim. And speaking of exciting, up next we have our last NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifying Match!"

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Qualifying Match
King Kong Bundy w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs. Rob Van Dam
Bundy used his size to his advantage, but RVD kept him at bay with those "educated feet." Halfway through the match, Bundy's stablemate, Chris Candido came to ringside, attempting to distract RVD. Possibly due to the frustration of having to deal with not only the 446 lb Bundy, but Bobby Heenan and now Candido, as well as the ref doing absolutely nothing about any of it, RVD took matters into his own hands, grabbing a chair and drilling Bundy with a Van Daminator! The ref called for the bell, and Bundy started to bleed from his head, but shockingly, did not stagger one bit. Bundy advanced on RVD, who tried to make his retreat, but Candido stopped him with a forearm to the back of his head. Candido and Bundy beat down RVD, with Bundy delivering splash after Splash with Candido assisting and Heenan directing traffic. Bundy won by DQ.

Ross: "Somwbody get in there! There won't be anything left of RVD!" Security finally arrived, as well as wrestlers from the back like Thesz, Savage, DDP, and the Rock n Roll Express.
Solie: "Well, Jim, I don't know about RVD's condition, but I do know that we finally have our eight competitors for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament!"
Ross: "That's right, Dean. And here's the official pairings:

NWA World Tag Team Championship Tournament Match
"Bamm Bamm" Terry Gordy and Jimmy Snuka w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. The Heavenly Bodies w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
Heenan was obviously riding high after seeing Bundy advance to the tournament, but that mood quickly changed when he saw his prized tag team get mauled by Gordy and Snuka. The Heavenly Bodies may be the better team, but they just could not match the savagery of the AOD. Gordy pinned Lane after the Eternal Darkness-a Gordy Powerbomb/Snuka Superfly Leap combo-that left Lane in a position where the ref could've counted to 300.

Solie: "With that, the AOD advances to the finals of the NWA World Tag Team Championship Tournament tomorrow night against the Sheepherders-" Solie is interrupted by the Sheepherders hitting the ring! Williams has his New Zealand flag and Miller has a chair! They jump the Army of Darkness and a wild brawl breaks out!

Ross: "Somebody get control of this show! Folks, we're out of time! Don't forget, tomorrow night, the first NWA PPV, SuperBrawl!"

Sinn Bodhi w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
Bodhi is showing a newfound aggression now that he's under the tutelage of The Taskmaster. He overwhelmed Scotty and put him away with the Tallulah Belle finisher.

Dark Match #2
The Funk Rockers (2 Cold Scorpio and Marty Jannetty) vs. Nikolai Volkoff and Daivari
The Funk Rockers finally got a W when Jannetty went over Daivari with the Rocker Dropper.

Main Show

Jim Ross: "Welcome, everyone and thanks for joining us for our very first Pay-Per-View, SuperBrawl! Here with me is my broadcast partner, Gordon Solie, and somewhere backstage, getting all the scuttlebutt, is the third member of our team, Tony Schiavone!"
Solie: "We've got a lot of action to get to, so let's go to the ring for our first match of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament!"

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
Lou Thesz vs. The Iron Sheik w/Daivari
This match started off as a classic wrestling match, with both Thesz and the Sheik trading holds and chain wrestling, until the Sheik turned it into a brawl. He connected with his loaded boot to Thesz's midsection and went for another into his head, but Thesz sidestepped him and delivered a Thea Press before locking in the STF for the submission victory. Thesz advanced to the second round!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
Diamond Dallas Page vs. "The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Rodney
DiBiase didn't even try his usual bribe attempt tonight, knowing it wouldn't work against DDP. DDP went after DiBiase before the bell, but "The Billion Dollar Man" beat a hasty retreat, bailing out of the ring. When DDP went after him, he ran into a nasty clothesline from DiBiase's bodyguard, Rodney. Back inside, DiBiase worked DDP over with power slams and fist drops, but couldn't put him away. Late in the match, DDP finally made his comeback, and Rodney attempted to pass DiBiase a pair of brass knuckles. DDP intercepted them and laid DiBiase out with one punch! He made the cover and the referee counted 1..2..and stopped because he saw the knucks on DDP's hand! He called for the bell and DiBiase advanced by DQ! DiBiase looks dejected as Rodney pulls DiBiase out of the ring and helps him to the back. DiBiase will face Thesz in the second round!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. King Kong Bundy w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
Bundy dominated the majority of this match, but made a fatal mistake. Bundy went for an Avalanche but Danielson rolled out of the corner just in time! Danielson followed up with a missile dropkick and hooked the leg! 1..power kickout by Bundy that sent Danielson between the ropes and out of the ring to the arena floor! Danielson recovered before the ten count and climbed back into the ring, pulling himself to his feet, as Bundy set up for another Avalanche! As Bundy barreled toward Danielson, Danielson dropped to the mat and pulled the top rope down with him and Bundy went over the top rope and crashed through the ringside announce table! Ross and Solie narrowly avoided being crushed by the big man, but papers and monitors went everywhere! Bundy could not answer the ten count and Danielson wins a shocker by countout! Heenan is beside himself as Bundy has still not gotten up from the floor!

Ross: "Good Lord! Gordon, are you okay!?"
Solie: "So far, so good, Jim. Just waiting for the dust to settle!"
Ross: "Well, two men that aren't going to wait for the dust to settle are about to hit the ring! 'Macho Man' Randy Savage and Bruiser Brody!"

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
Bruiser Brody w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage
Savage knew he had to keep moving and make this match about speed and agility, because if Brody got his hands on him, it would be all over. Savage battled back from everything Brody threw at him, but eventually lost a brawl outside the ring that wound up making the difference. Savage went for his running knee to the back, but Sullivan pushed Brody out of the way and Savage wiped out on the ring steps. Brody rolled him back into the ring and hit not one, but two of his Jumping Knee Drops for the 1-2-3!

Ross: "Wow! I think we just saw the bracket buster for a lot of people!"
Solie: "Possibly, Jim, but I think it would be foolish to ever count a man like Brody as an underdog. Now we have our final four as it were."
Ross: "That's right, Dean. The semifinals will be Lou Thesz vs. Ted DiBiase and Bryan Danielson vs. Bruiser Brody!"
Solie: "One of those four men will be the very first NWA World Heavyweight Champion!"

Grudge Match
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine w/Capt Lou Albano vs. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake
This match was made after the events at WCW Saturday Night last night. Valentine attacked Beefcake as he was coming up the aisle, and both men brawled all the way to the ring, where after nearly five minutes of fighting the bell finally rang to signify that the match had started! Valentine was methodical in his offense, obviously working the knees and legs of Beefcake, setting him up for the dreaded Figure Four Leglock. Beefcake made a short comeback, but Albano hopped up on the apron and distracted him, giving Valentine the opening he needed to regain the advantage. However, after whipping Beefcake into the turnbuckle, Valentine followed him in for a clothesline, but Beefcake got out of the way and rolled him up for the surprise three count! Valentine and Albano were irate as Beefcake rolled out of the ring.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
Lou Thesz vs. "The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Rodney
Round Two kicked off with a bang, as DiBiase attempted to bribe Thesz, but the legendary Thesz was having none of it. He slapped DiBiase flush across the face, which started the match. The angry DiBiase let his emotions get the best of him, and as a result, was never really in the fight. Thesz delivered a pair of Greco-Roman Backdrops before following up with the Thesz Press and the pinfall victory!

Ross: "Thesz is in the finals!"
Solie: "But will he be facing the Cinderella story of Bryan Danielson or the monster, Bruiser Brody?"
Ross: "Well, Gordon, let's find out!"

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Match
"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Bruiser Brody w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan
Danielson came out to the sounds of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries and the audience chants of "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Brody came out to Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song and was a sight to behold in his chains. He hit the ring aggressively and the match was underway. Danielson again tried to stick and move against a much larger opponent, but Brody is much more agile than Bundy. Danielson fought valiantly but was stopped in his tracks by a vicious big boot! Brody followed up with a crippling Piledriver and got the W!

Ross: "Thesz vs. Brody in the finals!"
Solie: "The real story here, Jim, is the fact that 'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan is quietly just two wins away from holding ALL the gold here in the NWA!"
Ross: "That's true, Gordon, but now we go to the ring and Tony Schiavone with a special announcement!"

Schiavone: "Folks, I'm here to make a couple big announcements! First of all, as of tonight, we are one month away from Wrestlemania! On Sunday, March 25th, the WWF and the NWA will hold a joint PPV with all of the big names you'd expect to see on a supercard presented by both promotions! And my second announcement is that one match has already been signed: a six man Money in the Bank Ladder Match! Three men from the WWF and three from the NWA will compete in a ladder match where the winner will get a future shot at either title at a time of his choosing! And this Saturday, on WCW Saturday Night, NWA officials have told me that we will be holding our very first qualifying match for the Money in the Bank Match! That's right, Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine will take on Diamond Dallas Page for the first slot! Stay tuned to WWF Prime Time Wrestling tomorrow night for more Wrestlemania match announcements!"

Six-Man Tag Team Match
The Heavenly Bodies and Chris Candido w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan vs. The Rock and Roll Express and Rob Van Dam
This match didn't take long to turn into a free for all. The ref had his hands full with these six men, and add Bobby Heenan to the mix and he lost control quickly. When Gibson and Morton wound up on the floor with both Heavenly Bodies, RVD saw his opening and flattened Candido with the Van Terminator! He made the cover and the ref turned and saw and made the three count! Heenan lost his mind as all of his men lost tonight!

Solie: "Well, JR, it's time! Time to start deciding championships!"
Ross: "It certainly is, and we're going to start with the NWA World Tag Team Championship Tournament Final between the Sheepherders and the Army of Darkness! This match is not going to be for the faint of heart!"

NWA World Tag Team Championship Tournament Final
The Army of Darkness ("Bamm Bamm" Terry Gordy and "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka) w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. The Sheepherders w/Capt Lou Albano
This match was exactly the brutal bloodbath it looked to be on paper. All four men were busted open by the end of this one and Sullivan and Albano were engaged in a game of one-upsmanahip over who could cheat for his team more. After over 18 minutes of brutal, bloody violence, Gordy pinned Miller after a Bamm Bamm Slam! Your winners and inaugural NWA World Tag Team Champions, the Army of Darkness, Terry Gordy and Jimmy Snuka!

Solie: "Jim, I can't remember a tag match where all four men wore the crimson mask!"
Ross: "I can't either, Gordon, and like you said earlier, this brings Kevin Sullivan within one victory of his goal to rule the NWA!"

NWA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final
Lou Thesz vs. Bruiser Brody w/"Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan
This match had all the makings of the "big match feel." Arguably the greatest American technical wrestler of the last century versus possibly the most dangerous, unpredictable wild man the sport has ever seen. Thesz started out on the offensive, keeping the monster at bay with submission and wear-down holds. Eventually, Brody's power got the better of Thesz, and he took over, delivering much more high impact moves-punches, slams, and backbreakers. This pattern went back and forth for over twenty minutes until Thesz saw an opening and locked in the STF! He had him right in the center of the ring and it looked like Brody would be forced to tap, but Brody powered out, not only breaking the hold, but drilling Thesz into the mat with a one-handed body slam for good measure. Brody followed up with a big boot to the face and a running leg drop, and at Sullivan's command, dropped across Thesz and hooked the leg! 1..2..kickout! There's still some fight in Thesz! Brody then hoisted Thesz up and dropped him into a nasty Piledriver! Another cover! Again, a two count! The crowd goes nuts as Brody starts to wonder just what exactly he needs to do to put Thesz away. He then climbed to the top turnbuckle-probably to go for his Jumping Knee Drop-but Thesz recovered quickly and ran up the turnbuckle and delivered an amazing superplex! Both men laid on the mat for several minutes as we approached the 35 minute mark, but Thesz gained his feet first. He delivered multiple dropkicks and an airplane spin and made a cover of his own, but now it was time for Brody to show his toughness and kick out! Thesz looked surprised but not for long, as he followed up with a Thesz Press and another pin attempt, but this time Brody kicked out even faster and with authority! Thesz then went for a release power bomb, but Brody blocked it and reversed it into a twisting vertical suplex! He quickly went for his finisher, the Jumping Knee Drop and hooked the leg! 1..2..3! Winner and NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Bruiser Brody! Sullivan enters the ring with Brody's belt and presents him with it. As Brody strapped it on, he is joined by the rest of the Army of Darkness, Terry Gordy, Jimmy Snuka, and Sinn Bodhi, as Sullivan snatches a mic from Schiavone and chases him out of the ring: "I told you. I told all of you. I said it was just a matter of time before all the gold here in the NWA belonged to the Army of Darkness! And now, look. It's all here." All three men drape their belts across Sullivan's shoulders. "And now, the NWA enters the era...of...Darkness!" The lights in the arena go off as Sullivan says the word "darkness," and when they come back on the Army of Darkness is gone from the ring!

Riddle gets some offense in but Hennig takes over on the floor.Larry hits the AXE for the pin.

Suddenly STEVE CORINO & ADAM PEARCE hit the ring.Rogers attacks Hennig in the ring.Corino and Pearce attack Race on the floor.Corino delivers the Old School Expulsion to Race on the floor !Pearce with a spinning neckbreaker on the floor ! Pearce then hits a Hangmans Neckbreaker to Race.Corino delivers the OLD SCHOOL SUPLEX and trace is down and looks to be injured.

Corino and Pearce state that they are the team to beat in WWF for the tag teams titles.

The Road warriors hit the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Corino.Riddle rolls into the ring and he low blows Hawk ! The ref is distracted by BUDDY ROGERS on the floor.Corino & Pearce unload on Hawk but they cannot keep him down.The Road Warriors hit a double clothesline to turn the tide.Moments later the Road warriors hit the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Pearce.Scrap iron some how kicks out ! The Road warriors deliver a second DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Pearce again for the pin.21:10

Duggan avoids a clothesline in the corner and he rolls up Firpo for a 2 count.Duggan hits the Tough Guy Clothesline for another near fall on Firpo.The action spills to the floor.Firpo grabs a steel chair.The ref tries to stop him but Firpo shoves the ref to the floor.DQ !

Jim Ross: "Good evening, folks, and welcome to WCW Saturday Night! Here with me is my tag team partner, Gordon Solie! Gordon, what do you have to say about the state of affairs here in the NWA?"
Gordon Solie: "Jim, apparently, the NWA has entered a dark time, no pun intended, with the way that NWA SuperBrawl turned out..."
Ross: "That's right, Gordon, Kevin Sullivan's Army of Darkness walked out of SuperBrawl with ALL the gold here in the NWA! Bruiser Brody took home the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, while Gordy and Snuka won the tag belts!"
Solie: "We'll be hearing from them later in the show, but I'd also like to mention the announcement our colleague Tony Schiavone made about Wrestlemania! We're only three weeks away from the biggest show we've done to this point, cross-promoting with the WWF!"
Ross: "And the other big announcement that Tony made was the interpromotional Money in the Bank Ladder Match! We're going to hold three qualifying matches over the next few weeks and we're going to kick off tonight with the very first one!"

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine w/Captain Lou Albano vs. Diamond Dallas Page
DDP started the match hot, which is not the way Valentine works, usually taking several minutes to warm up. In the end, however, all that heat didn't matter. After DDP hit a Discus Clothesline, he went for the cover, but Albano jumped up on the apron. The ref went to deal with him, and while he was distracted, "The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase's bodyguard, Rodney, jumped into the ring and drilled DDP in the left knee with a chair! Once DDP was down, Rodney delivered a second chairshot to the same knee and bailed out! Albano, seeing that his distraction had worked, jumped down off the apron, while the recovering Valentine saw his opening and capitalized. Valentine hooked in the Figure Four Leglock, and DDP held on for as long as he could before being forced to tap out. Valentine held the hold on for longer than necessary, until the ref threatened to reverse his decision. Valentine released the hold, but the damage was done.

Ross: "Well, it's another case of highway robbery here in the NWA, all orchestrated by the man with the money, Ted DiBiase."
Solie: "Fair or not, The Hammer is going to Wrestlemania! And I don't think we've seen the last of this rivalry between Page and DiBiase!"
Ross: "DiBiase will get his chance next week, when he faces 'The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson for the second MITB slot! But he'll be here a little later in action against another tough opponent, Frank Dalton!"

The Funk Rockers ("Flash Funk" 2 Cold Scorpio and Marty Jannetty) vs. Jeff Costa and The Masked Miser
This may be the first time Costa and the Miser have teamed together here in the NWA, and it certainly looked like it. Jannetty and Scorpio wrestled circles around them until Scorpio put Costa away with the Rocker Dropper/Scorpio Splash combo! We cut to a backstage camera, where we see a beautiful stretch limo parked in the garage. The driver gets out and opens a back door and out steps none other than "The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and his bodyguard, Rodney! "Thank you, Michael. Keep the car running. This won't take long. Oh, and take care of my associates until I get back. We have some celebrating to do tonight!" The cameraman shifts his angle to see Captain Lou Albano and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine in the back seat!

Nikolai Volkoff w/Daivari vs. Scotty 2 Hotty
Volkoff did not need Daivari's interference tonight, as he started the match strong and finished the same way. He ragdolled Scotty all over the ring before forcing him to submit to the Russian Bear Hug.

"The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Rodney vs. Frank Dalton
As he predicted, DiBiase made short work of Dalton, putting him out with the Billion Dollar Dream, and, as usual, stuffing a $100 bill in his mouth. He looks into the camera: "Look at him! That's how DDP is going to look if he doesn't keep his nose out of my business, and that's how Bryan Danielson is going to look next week, after I beat him in the MITB qualifying match! Everyone knows, money doesn't belong in a bank. It belongs to ME!"

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Lenny Lane
Danielson won another quick match, making Lane submit to the Cattle Mutilation. After the decision, Tony Schiavone entered the ring:
Schiavone: "Congratulations, Bryan, on another win here on WCW Saturday Night, and congratulations on your opportunity next week to qualify for the MITB match at Wrestlemania! What's your strategy for dealing with a man like Ted DiBiase?"
Danielson: "Well, Tony, it wouldn't be very smart of me to let a man like DiBiase know what my strategy was, would it? You'll all just have to come back next week and find out my strategy right when DiBiase does!"

The Heavenly Bodies w/Bobby Heenan vs. The Rock n Roll Express
Both sets of tag team specialists tore the house down with this match, with both teams using multiple double team moves and some high Flying for good measure. In the end, Morton went over Lane after he and Gibson delivered the Double Dropkick! After the bell, Morton motioned to his waist and said, "Bring on the AOD!"

Tony Schiavone is back in the ring and says he has been asked for some interview time by one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Lou Thesz! Thesz comes out, dressed in a suit:
Thesz: "Thank you, Mr. Schiavone for your time. I promise I only have a few things to say and then I'll be on my way. Last Sunday night, as SuperBrawl, Bruiser Brody beat me in the finals to become the first NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Congratulations are in order to you, Mr. Brody, on your victory. Now, I have no gripe with you, as you beat me fair and square, but I am here to challenge you to a rematch. And not just any rematch. I'm here to challenge you to a rematch on the biggest stage possible, Wrestlemania! Now, I-" Thesz is interrupted by the familiar ominous music of The Army of Darkness, and out stepped "The Taskmaster" Kevin Sullivan:
"Lou Thesz, you've been beaten. We have nothing left to prove to you. You go to the back of the line and fight your way back to a rematch!"
Thesz: "I didn't ask you, Sullivan. I'm challenging Brody. But if he's backing down from a challenge, I-"
Sullivan: "The Army of Darkness backs down from no man! And Bruiser Brody certainly never has and never will. I'll tell you what. If you can beat an opponent of my choosing, right here, right now, I will bring your challenge to Brody!"
Thesz: "Sullivan, I don't have my gear tonight. I'm not dressed for-"
Sullivan: "Well, Thesz, if YOU'RE backing down, I understand!"
Thesz takes off his jacket and begins to remove his tie and says, "Bring out my opponent, Sullivan," as the crowd goes nuts.

Lou Thesz vs. Sinn Bodhi w/Kevin Sullivan
Even in suit pants and dress shoes, Thesz destroyed Bodhi in minutes, without Bodhi even getting a punch in. Thesz kept Bodhi off balance with dropkicks and submission holds before delivering the Thesz Press for the 1-2-3. As the ref raised Thesz's hand in victory, Sullivan struck! He struck Thesz in the head with his dreaded Golden Spike! He busted him wide open and continued his attack, with Bodhi now joining in. After beating him down, Sullivan directed Bodhi to hold him and he appeared to be lighting a Fireball! Mercifully, the Rock n Roll Express and Bryan Danielson hit the ring and chased Sullivan and Bodhi off, but Thesz was definitely in bad shape. The camera cut away from Thesz's bloody face and forehead as the show ended.

Ross: "We're outta time! See you next week!"

Nigel tries to send Duggan into the turnbuckle but he misses the clothesline and he hits the turn buckle hard.Duggan rolls up Nigel for the pin.

Jim Ross: "Good evening, folks, this is good ol' JR, with my broadcast partner, 'The Dean' Gordon Solie!"
Solie: "Thanks, Jim, and we've got a great show for you tonight, including a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match between 'The Billion Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase and 'The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson! But let's get to the ring!"

The Sheepherders w/Captain Lou Albano vs. The Funk Rockers ("Flash Funk" 2 Cold Scorpio and Marty Jannetty)
The Sheepherders are obviously angry after losing in the finals of the NWA World Tag Team Championship Tournament and took it all out on Jannetty and Scorpio. They took turns beating them from one side of the ring to the other until mercifully, Miller pinned Scorpio after a Battering Ram. Backstage, we see Bobby "The Brain" Heenan talking to two members of his Heenan Family, King Kong Bundy and "The Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido: "Chris, the NWA has done it again. They've overlooked you for the last time! They left you out of consideration for a shot at the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at Wrestlemania. Well, we're going to show them: next week, this man, King Kong Bundy, has a MITB qualifying match against Brutus 'The F@&$ing Barber" Beefcake! But tonight, Chris, you're going to put a hurting on Beefcake!"

The Iron Sheik w/Daivari vs. Frank Dalton
The Iron Sheik made short work of Dalton, quickly making him submit to the Camel Clutch. After the bell, Tony Schiavone came to the ring, while Daivari brought two oddly shaped clubs into the ring and handed them to the Sheik.
Schiavone: "Mr. Daivari, here with your man, the Iron Sheik-what are these devices that you've just handed him?"
Daivari: "Tony Schiavone, these are Persian Clubs. I wouldn't expect a man of your limited intelligence to know what they are, but the great Iron Sheik is one of few men on the planet that has mastered them." The Sheik begins to hurl the clubs behind his back and twist them around, while Daivari adds, "No man in the NWA can master these clubs like The Iron Sheik. Most men do not even have the strength to lift these clubs! Certainly not this pathetic American here," as he points at the prone, barely conscious Dalton. "In the coming weeks, The Iron Sheik will be issuing a challenge to the NWA, and perhaps even to the WWF, to see if any man has the courage to attempt, or the strength to master these clubs!"

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake vs. "The Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido w/Bobby Heenan
Great, competitive match between these two. In the end, Beefcake got the edge, pinning Candido with the flying knee smash. After the bell, however, Candido chop blocked him, and then followed up with a flapjack and then his finisher, The Blonde Bomb. Beefcake was left lying in the ring as Candido strutted away, mocking him, while saying "Heh, good luck with Bundy next week..."

Wrestlemania Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
"The Billion Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase w/Rodney vs. "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson
This match was chaos from the start. Predictably, DiBiase and Rodney tried their usual attempts at bribing Danielson into laying down, but Danielson wasn't having it. He slapped Rodney's hand away and he and DiBiase began to slug it out. The match went back and forth until, again, predictably, Rodney tried to get involved. Danielson hit him with a suicide dive to the outside and the crowd went nuts! While the ref tried to separate Danielson and Rodney, Diamond Dallas Page hit the ring through the crowd! He spun DiBiase around and drilled him into the mat with the Diamond Cutter, and rolled out! Danielson came back to the ring, saw DiBiase laying on the mat, shrugged and made the cover...1..2..3! Cue the "Yes!" chants!

Ross: "The American Dragon is going to Wrestlemania!"
Solie: "Indeed he is, JR. He'll be joining Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine and either Beefcake or Bundy as the NWA representatives in the Money in the Bank Match!"

The Army of Darkness (NWA World Heavyweight Champion Bruiser Brody and NWA World Tag Team Champions Terry Gordy and Jimmy Snuka) w/Kevin Sullivan and Sinn Bodhi vs. Scotty 2 Hotty, Lenny Lane, and Jeff Costa
This match played out as the massacre it appears to be on paper. The Army of Darkness destroyed their opponents, with Brody focusing on Costa, who first appeared here in the NWA as "Bruiser" Costa. Gordy and Snuka delivered the Eternal Darkness-the Gordy Powerbomb/Superfly Splash combo-on Costa, and tagged Brody back in for an unnecessary Jumping Knee Drop for the 1-2-3. After the bell, Sullivan got on the mic: "Lou Thesz...you say you want a rematch. Well, be careful what you wish for, my friend. Because you just might get it. This monster, Bruiser Brody, will put this title on the line against you at Wrestlemania! And we're so confident that he'll destroy you again, we'll let YOU pick the stipulation!"

Corino and Pearce begin to double team Race with Riddle directing traffic.They send race into the ring.Pearce hits the JUMPING PILEDRIVER.While Race is down riddle applies the BOSTON CRAB.CURT & LARRY HENNIG hit the ring and they run Pearce,Corino and Riddle off.Race slowly gets to his feet and he is absolutely furious.

Brazil hits a COCO BUTT for the pin.
