We must be the same age. I was 13 in 1997. I turned 34 not too long ago. lol I turn 34 on February 16th. I've only been playing since 2005. I started doing the e-wrestling thing in 1997 and that eventually brought me to FG.

I remember seeing ads for CotG in the apter mags going all the way back to the early/mid 90's, but it wasn't until 96/97 that I became dedicated to checking out the "cool looking sci-fi wrestling game from PWI". Glad I did because it ended up being even cooler than I had imagined. My first words when I opened up the package were "Wow..."

I was intrigued by the ads in PWI when it first came out, but it wasn't until 89 that I actually gave in and made the purchase... I was 20. The guy I shared an apartment with used to make fun of me because he could hear the dice rolling through the wall between our rooms at night...

I'll never forget running that first match with the black and white cards: Pit Viper vs. Mutant

Hahaha. I love this. I got the game in 97 when I was 13 and fell completely in love, so if I'm honest and I were in your shoes, I may have done the same. We must be the same age. I was 13 in 1997. . I was 13 in 1987 I meant. Got ten years on ya young man. 👴🏻

I got one of the first 'original 500' sets in 1987. That's awesome. Do you still have it?

I guess I can be considered an original on a technicality. A friend of mine was looking for a second wrestling game to play as we were avid Superstar Pro Wrestling Game players. He bought COTG off of the first ad in PWI and we tried it after it arrived in the mail. Neither of us cared for it as we preferred gaming with actual real life wrestlers, so it went on the shelf. In the early 2000's, another friend directed me to the website for LOW and I was interested but did not jump in until a while later when I saw the ROH edition pop up on their website. I've been a LOW addict ever since but still not into COTG for the same reason I wasn't in the beginning.

I started in 1988. I ordered my first set out the PWI mag, and the rest is history. Been rollin' the dice ever since.
