One of these years we'll have to have all the Galacticup winners who attend face each other in a tournament for fun.

The Ride Didn't decide to go until 11:30 am Friday. Texted Matt and asked if he was still game. He was there to pick me up by 1:30. Several hours later, we were in our seats watching the Pirates live in Pittsburgh. Another hour later after the game we were at the hotel. The midnight release party felt like an old school GCON at the Sheldon House watching everyone find a chair, get quiet and read the new handbook. The majority of fans were surprised to see Godsend return, definitely getting a bigger pop than Drury did when he unmasked as Iron Hand. Matt caught up on his 2108 fed in the corner as everyone enjoyed the new set. GCON Saturday Quickly lost my first match in the GWF tournament to Demon Godsend using Code Destroyer. Lost by DQ using EAT CROW. That gave me time to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones: Blehschmidt Scott Racer, rudmaniac , Will and others. Won the Indy tournament with my boy Jay Briscoe even though the ref TTX tried to screw me thanks Troy! In all seriousness, Troy was a joy to hang out with, and he eventually got the last laugh defeating me in round 1 of the Galacticon Cup tournament using Andre the Giant to squash Swarm. It's a very short and exclusive list of promoters who have defeated me when I've actually used Swarm - so Troy can add that to his GCON resume. Some pics from The midnight release party: Tom discusses Trump - Russia ties (or Demon Godsend finisher - I forget) Alex uses his - 4 power to read the GCON program. Tom looks at the new Godsend card. Overall another wonderful weekend with friends. Great spending time with Pete DK II jimsteel EpicDave MHardcore mikefortune smoke fire @spark reno @ramel Brocster + Diana, @sam @kevinwible + Kathy, jmello The REAL Mr. Jimmyface and everyone else who was there. Special shout out to my brothers Vegas Mike M Tournament Master TOM and Alex. Congrats to Todd on winning the Cup! See everyone next year!

Scott Racer here! I haven't posted much on the boards, preferring to "lurk in the shadows". But now that I participated in my first Galacticon, I think it's proper to post more often. First off, many thanks to everyone who set up the events, tournaments, etc. Todd was extremely helpful with purchasing of new products, and just for being an all-around awesome fella. My reward to him...winning the whole shebang! The Galactic Cup! LOL Thanks to Troy for taking on the unenviable task of running all the tournaments. He did an admirable job keeping things running and moving along. Not gonna lie, as a COTG player debuting in 1990, I totally marked out meeting Tom. I mean, this is the guy who provided more enjoyment and fun than any video game or movie star or actor or athlete. He provided a canvas and an outlet for not just my creativity, but hundreds and hundreds of others. So Tom, thank you, it was a pleasure to meet you and talk. I can't list everyone because it would get boring, but the fact that Blehschmidt and myself were welcomed with open arms into this family meant a lot, and we had an absolute blast meeting and gaming with everyone. I'm all caught up on Legends/Indy products but about 20 editions behind in the COTG world. With any luck, I'll be caught up by next year. Thanks everyone and I look forward to interacting with you all on here.
