COASTAL FRONTIER WRESTLING CFW Crowning Achievement (01-Jan-21) From Philadelphia, PA

'The Rocker' Marty Jannetty defeated The Destroyer via disqualification. - The Destroyer was disqualified for pushing the referee aside in order to continue his assault outside the ring. -- Tokens: Jannetty 2
'Macho Man' Randy Savage (w/ Sensational Sherri Martel) defeated 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka. - Savage scored the pinfall with a sunset flip. -- Tokens: Savage 1 - Snuka 3 - Savage rebounded off the ropes with a brilliant counter for a flash finish.
'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers defeated Bruiser Brody. - Rogers gained the submission with a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. -- Tokens: n/a - Rogers stunned Brody with a jab to the eyes after being whipped into the ropes. Trapped in the middle of the ring, Brody had no choice but to tap out.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Nikolai Volkoff. - Duggan scored the pinfall with a FLYING SPEAR. -- Tokens: n/a - Duggan landed a preemptive strike while Volkoff tried to open the match by singing the Russian national anthem.
Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk w/ Paul Ellering) defeated Midnight Express ('Loverboy' Dennis Condrey & Ravishing Randy Rose w/ Jim Cornette). - Hawk scored the pinfall on Condrey with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE. -- Tokens: Condrey 2 - The Road Warriors dominated the action while Ellering kept Cornette honest at ringside.
Handsome Harley Race & Lou Thesz defeated Gorgeous George (w/ Cherie Dupre) & Ted DiBiase (w/ Jazz & Redd Dogg). - Thesz scored the pinfall (snake eyes) on DiBiase with a GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP. -- Tokens: Race 1, Thesz 1 - Thesz blocked a vertical suplex by DiBiase and dropped him to the mat for a surprise three count. - After the bell, DiBiase's entourage jumped Thesz in order to get some payback on the employer's behalf. Race grabbed a steel chair and cleaned house! As George fled from the ring, Race and Thesz decided to turn DiBiase into an object lesson. (DiBiase injured for 5 cards. Race and Thesz each suspended for 4 cards.)
CFW GLOBAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH 'Macho Man' Randy Savage (w/ Sensational Sherri Martel) defeated 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers. - Savage scored the pinfall with a FLYING ELBOW DROP. -- Tokens: Savage 1 - Rogers 1 - Despite controlling the advantage for the majority of the match, Rogers allowed his concentration to slip for an instant and it cost him dearly.
'Macho Man' Randy Savage won the CFW Global Heavyweight Championship.

Lots of action without pin tokens on the under card. Looks like Savage was lucky in the main event and I suspect that Nature Boy will want an immediate rematch.

Congratulations to The Macho Man! Looking forward to The Tag Titles and Women's Championship tournament... Great action from A.C. and Philadelphia. Although Rogers beat Thesz, he did it in true Nature Boy Style. Also digging the announcers and their perspectives. Pariah mania has returned! "The Soft Parade has now begun...listen to the engines hum..."

Totally diggin' the support of my friends and fellow promoters... TTX - Race and Thesz really did a number on poor, old DiBiase... But, I don't expect to see them teaming up on a regular basis... We'll see what their futures hold when they return from being suspended. Crossbones - I was also pleased the Roadies kicked off their CFW career with a big win... What a rush, indeed! @kevinb - Without a doubt, Macho Man is the perfect champion to kick things off... But, I'm expecting there will be some debate regarding how he made it into the semifinals. bookerbill - Potential challengers for the title are starting to line up already... Commissioner Albano is gonna have his hands full. Bri - I'm enjoying the dynamic between DDP and Trish as the ringside commentary team... At some point, I'm sure their opinions will lead them into some in-ring conflict. Gonna try to get the next show posted within a day or two... And there will be some major developments in the title scene!

You speak the truth, my friend... However, a certain Doctor is taking exception to how things unfolded in the quarterfinals... More specifically, he was not happy about having his bell rung by a...
