'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka defeated 'Mr Perfect' Curt Hennig via disqualification.
- Hennig was disqualified for smashing Snuka with a blatant chairshot. -- Tokens: Snuka 1 - Hennig 1
- Both men delivered a solid performance, but the referee caught Hennig trying to take a shortcut outside the ring.
- Dr Mike Lano tried to interview Snuka after the match. Terry Gordy confronted Snuka, reminding him of their unfinished business. Snuka appeared to be in trouble when Curt and Larry Hennig showed up to stand next to Gordy, but the arrival of Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam turned this into a standoff.
'Macho Man' Randy Savage (w/ Sensational Sherri Martel) defeated 'Dr Death' Steve Williams.
- Savage scored the pinfall with a FLYING ELBOW DROP. -- Tokens: Savage 2 - Williams 5
- Each man was pushed to the limit in this brutal affair. A valuable distraction by Martel prevented Savage from being disqualified when he smashed Williams in the face with the timekeeper's bell.
Bruiser Brody defeated Iron Sheik (w/ Shawn Daivari).
- Brody scored the pinfall with a JUMPING KNEE DROP. -- Tokens: Brody 2 - Sheik 1
- Daivari tried to distract the referee, but Brody knocked him off the apron with a running big boot.
* Iron Sheik sustained a legitimate injury during the match and will be out of action for 2 weeks.

Engines roared as Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors arrived on motorcycles. Commissioner Albano met the trio and said it was great they could make it to the show. Ellering asked the commissioner about his plans and received an immediate response. The Road Warriors would make the ideal opponents for Jim Cornette's Midnight Express at CFW Crowning Achievement. Animal gave a silent nod of satisfaction as Hawk loudly expressed his own thoughts on the matter. Oooooh, WHAT A RUSH!
'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers defeated Lou Thesz.
- Rogers scored the pinfall with a pin using ropes. -- Tokens: Rogers 3 - Thesz 2
- An exceptional back and forth exchange was spoiled when Rogers rolled Thesz into a pinning combination and held onto the ropes to steal a tainted win.
- Unable to believe the outcome, Trish Stratus said that Thesz was robbed of his chance to become the inaugural CFW Global Heavyweight champion. Diamond Dallas Page disagreed, stating the Nature Boy earned his spot by doing whatever it took to get the job done.

Despite being eliminated from the CFW Global Heavyweight Championship tournament, 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase laughed with delight as he watched Lou Thesz - the man who defeated him in the opening round - get defeated himself. Commissioner Albano told DiBiase to find himself a tag partner for a high profile match against the pairing of Handsome Harley Race and Thesz at CFW Crowning Achievement. Ignoring the request of Redd Dogg to be his partner, DiBiase stated that his money could afford a 'gorgeous' associate that would be devious enough to help him achieve his goal.
