Here's what I'm seeing when I look into my AEW crystal Ball -
Punk is going to work with the 'homegrown' AEW talent in the mid card to raise them up... he'll blow through Team Taz the next couple dynamites, then fight Starks at the next PPV... them move on the Jungle Boy.
Meanwhile, we'll get Danielson -Omega. Depending on how much time off Page is taking, this could go a couple ways, but I see it as Danielson taking the title off Omega just in time to feud with Punk for the belt, after Punk goes threw the other guys.
This will lead MJF to ran about getting held down.. then we get Punk - MJF (Danielson keeps the title).
After Omega loses the belt, Page finally gets his match and his victory over him.. then we either get Danielson losing to a heel to get the belt to Page (maybe Pac, or maybe Moxley if they pull the trigger on the full heel turn)
Hopefully, even if Bray Wyatt signs, they won't feud him with Danielson, as that's been done. Having him bring the Dark Order back to the heel side, and having Page try to 'save' them might be fun though.

I'll edit your crystal ball with the theory I saw this morning. Bray shows up and challenges Christian for IMPACT title and wins with Brauns help. Then they run to IMPACT where I think they end up.
I could see them doing a Luger/Hogan thing with the AEW title where Danielson challenges the week before a ppv match. Wins the title but then loses it at the PPv.
I think Page comes back and finally is the one who kicks out of his finisher and wins title. Page will then fight some guys before losing to MJF.

I HOPE that's what happens. Based on last night, I suspect whatever the next PPV is we'll see Danielson-Omega for the title. Maybe is Page is ready by then in interferes? That'd be interesting (sorry, but I Want to beat him!). Then you have Page-Danielson ready to go too... Give Page his run... ultimately they'll have a PPV with Punk-Danielson for the title as the main event. That's happening probably a year from now or so.
I'd be ok with my original thought that Page beats Omega to get to Danielson, too. I think they'll need to give Jungle Boy a title at some point too, but he could be the guy that beats Miro, maybe. (If that doesn't end up being Sammy, which seems to be where they're heading)

Trying to say this in the nicest way possible...flipped on Dynamite about 25 minutes before it was over thinking I would catch Omega vs Danielson. Instead I got a women’s match in the main event. Turns out they put the main event on first and a women’s match on last - literally the same exact stuff I’m turned off by WWE.
Wrestling 101 your main event goes on last.

I was suprised too but Britt has proven before she can handle the main event spot and I think they put on a fantastic match. Kenny vs Danielson was a good call for opener. Got the crowd hot and they kept that momentum going for the whole show

This is off topic but I read in Dutch Mantell's book that they put the main event on in the middle of the card in Puerto Rico in the hopes that people won't be drunk and pissed off at that point in the show.

Omega & Danielson felt like a fight! Especially the end. Bravo for that. I almost didn’t watch it cause the promos felt like everyone was playing. I got the feeling of I want to work with this guy more than I’m going kill this guy. The match gave me hope at least. More hope than i had a week ago

I was surprised when I saw this dream match, PPV level match kicking off the show. I guess it is a great way to get people to tune in and hopefully hyped to keep watching. Also it gives that "you never know what will happen so you can't miss a minute" feel. If you miss the opening you end up kicking yourself. The only other thing I can say, and this is based from what I think happened as I was at work and missed some, is since it was not a clean ending it leaves a true one on one match with a clean ending for a PPV.

Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega was one of the best WRESTLING matches I saw in a long time. I love that it ended in a draw. I grew up watching NWA matches where time limit draws were common. It builds up more anticipation for the rematch--possibly with a 60 minute time limit. I also like how the announcers pointed out that Don Callis was at ringside instead of joining them on commentary because of the importance of the match. It's little things like that that make pro wrestling seem "real" to me again.
