I liked seeing Cole in AEW. He has a better presence in that gritty Indy scene than in NXT where I really never felt like he fit in. Owens is in a similar situation. I feel like he never really fit in WWE. He seems perfect for ROH or AEW. But the rest of the guys - just yikes. They look like they should be following No Way Jose around in a conga line or something. Not sure what the angle there is but I’m not feeling it. I would take the belt off of Omega ASAP. Prob the Bucks too. See if that doesn’t spike the ratings a bit. I actually enjoy these current goofy heel characters better than I enjoy their in-ring work. I've always disliked Omega and the Bucks' mic work but this current gimmick is so over the top that it's kinda working for me for now. It feels like they are the ultimate marks. Omega got the Harley Race stache, Nick Jackson got the Shawn Michaels earrings. BUT I'm glad the belts are off the Bucks. Unfortunately they are now on Lucha Bros. I would hope for Omega to lose the title in the not too distant future as well. The consensus (among fans) for a while was that Hangman Page would be the one to dethrone him but with the influx of high profile talent, I wonder if that might change. I'd be devastated if it wasn't Adam Page. There is so much Danielson and Punk can do without the belt. |

I think Danielson will (and probably should) get a run with the title eventually, but it absolutely should not come at the expense of Hangman.
Punk is as close to a modern-day Roddy Piper as exists currently. He is the ultimate "doesn't need the title" guy.

I'm on the same page as you guys. I agree Danielson will get the title at one point. However, the story all along is that Hangman will be the one to dethrone Kenny. While it was odd he was taken out of the title picture at first, it worked out as he would be overshadowed by the new big names. He will come back and get that shot at kenny on a big stage. probably Full Gear as that's where kenny beat him last year. AEW usually ultimately gives the fans what they want and the fans want Hangman to win. And besides as I said, that has been the story all along and they rarely change course on a long planned angle.

I think at this point I think the Elite needs to be too much for Cole and Omega and then Page returns. Danielson feuds with Cole and that allows Page to go for gold.
I agree with the Punk comments but like Piper he should get a run with the title even if its quick.

I agree with all of this but they definitely need to do something with Hangman besides having him be goofy friends with the Dark Order. |

I think Page has lost momentum being gone. Nothing wrong w going w the flow and having Bryan take the title. Page can still get his big W over Omega in a no.1 contenders match. I don’t think Page gets a big rub from beating Omega like he would with Bryan. Bryan is the far bigger springboard. I think a good booker is versatile and strikes when an iron is hot. Something WWE has failed to do many times.
Punk looks like he’s content trying to get over the younger homegrown guys. Darby (who will hopefully get his W back), and now Hook, Hobbes and Starks.
That leaves Bryan in the main event world title scene where he belongs. I think the new viewers they’re getting will be rewarded. They might not even know who Page is yet.

AEW w a 1.3 RAW w a 1.5 may as well be the same. AEW putting on bloody, gritty wrestling matches while RAW continues to push Charlotte, Nia Jax, Rhea, Nikki ASH etc... Weird. Here's more detail. Charolette will bounce as soon as she can, so this terrible Nia Jax vs. Charolette Flair is mind-boggling. Still trying to figure out why they gave this stupid gimmick to Nikki. Did you see the idea WWE had for Adam Cole and Keith Lee? No wonder he left. WWE has too much talent to be this damn dumb. what was the idea they had for Cole and Keith Lee |
