That's true, but at least Allin is a legit wrestler. You're not wrong though, that's a good point. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way equating Darby Allin to Marko Stunt. Worlds apart in my eyes. Allin could do something with Hager that might work. I’ve just never been sold on Hager. |

He's not my favorite either.. he makes a good thug/enforcer though  I assume at some point he'll wrestle, and his role will be that of a gatekeeper to keep people off Jericho. |

Random question... Is AEW Dark worth watching? Is it just matches or is there some story elements going on? I mostly watch wrestling on YouTube so I'm curious if I should bother giving this a chance. Currently NWA is a must watch and MLW is one I usually try to make time for. That's it.

Just matches really with Schiavone in the studio.
Kenny Omega vs Joey Janela was awesome! Dark is definitely worth watching. If there’s a match that U think sux, just fast forward. Each one has had good stuff on it tho. This weeks was probably the weakest of the dark eps, but the main event was fun, w Dustin stealing the show. Typical Young Buck ROH (6-8 man) tag match, but worth watching.
Tuesday is nice with NWA (Those commercials are outstanding. Genius idea) and AEW Dark. MLW is always solid too. Plenty of options right now.

Not a bad episode overall. The Inner Circle were great in their heelish-ness and got their butts kicked for it. The way it's supposed to be. The two tag tournament matches were really good despite them missing a few big spots with the cameras. Women's match was ok as well as Omega/Janela. Another excellent delivery by Brandi Obama, whatever it is she was trying to do.  Best Friends were the most interesting part of their match and once again the Old Bucks pull a Cena for the win. As much as I harp on silly stuff, I do like Orange Cassidy a lot. His superkick party was hilarious. Mox/Pac was a good match. I really like heel PAC. |

I agree. definitely a good card overall.. the Inner Circle/Elite thing was great fun (but why DDP? They couldn't have someone else on the roster commit to being Cody's friend?). The two tag matches were great for spots, but I agree with JR general commentary of 'whoa, that was amazing, but someone has to string a couple moves together and actually try to win'... there was far too often where one team or the other would hit a big spot, then flex for the crowd with the other team recovered from the spot. I found that really annoying, especially since it was part of a tournament to win the titles.
While I get that Britt Baker needed to wrestle in her hometown, and the video package was nice, they need to actually have some other women on camera if there is an actual women's division and not just a couple mascots.
They could do a little better job developing the undercard, too. Where was Darby Allin today? I get protecting Jericho, but why not let the other guys have a match? While I love the long matches, they could cut down on the posing and perhaps get another match or two (or a promo or two) to get more of the roster on TV every week.
I agree heel PAC is awesome.. he's quickly become my favorite on the roster.

I was at the show in Pittsburgh, the AEW Dark tapings took care of a few of these. Opener was Dustin & Sonny Kiss vs Peter Avalon & QT Marshall. Penelope Ford vs Allie vs Sakura vs Sadie Gibbs was another one of the matches. Darby Allin vs Jimmy Havoc vs Jack Evans in a No DQ, falls count anywhere match was the Dark main event. |
