Should Harley Race fail to earn a shot at the LWF Title tonight, the winner of the Bockwinkel – Rogers match will be the first to challenge new Champion Frank Gotch.
Gary Michael Cappetta explains how the tournament will work. Each team will face the other once. 20 points will be awarded for a pin or submission victory. 15 points to the winner by count out. 10 points will be awarded for a disqualification victory and 5 points each for a draw.

The Warriors connect with a second DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Buff Bagwell but again Beefcake jumps into the ring this time starting a wild brawl. Somehow, Bagwell nails Animal with a BUFF BLOCKBUSTER during the melee for a 2 count. The Warriors regain control and Hawk nearly ends it with a deathjump cross body block on Beefcake. Later, Hawk tosses around Bagwell with a series of gorilla press slams but Bagwell is able to block a backdrop with a piledriver. Beefcake is in with a FLYING KNEE SMASH for a 1 count. Animal is in but Beefcake blocks a backdrop with a piledriver and then traps the Road Warrior in a sleeper. Animal is saved when he falls into the ropes forcing the break. The Insider is the third segment.
Sources close to the ownership of the LWF are telling the insider that LWF ownership is looking to improving the LWF Tag Team division and LWF talent scouts have recently spent time in the South looking at no fewer then four teams. While no formal offers were made, at least two of the teams have entered into serious talks with LWF management and may be joining the LWF soon. One has to wonder however how much improvement the tag team ranks needs with teams like the Valentines, Giant Baba & The Destroyer, Greg Valentine & Buddy Rose, and any two members of the Monster Factory waiting to get their shot in the main event slot. As well, how much more cap space will be available for new talent? Sources in LWF accounting tell the insider that the LWF could sign at least one main event team or two mid level teams with the current cap space available.
We go back to the LWF arena for the last segment.
Commissioner Charlie Cox presents Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff with the LWF Tag Team Title belts and Volkoff serenades the fans with the Russian Anthem drawing classic heat.

Commissioner Cox present the United States Title to the Superfly and the crowd roars with approval.
Booker’s Notes: Snuka goes undefeated to capture the United States Title after a grueling main event match against Kowalski. The real story of the night is the injury to Bobo Brazil at the hands of the Monster Factory. With Brazil out of action (box cars!), Commissioner Cox must face his first major decision. Will the Monster Factory be suspended and if so, for how long? The six man tag team match tonight was excellent especially the string of counters leading up to the finish. Next card’s match between Rogers and Gotch for the LWF Title should be a classic.

The insider has learned that Ted DiBiase attempted to by more than a spot in the United States Title Tournament this past week. In a bizarre turns of events, Ted DiBiase fronted a bid to actually purchase shares in the LWF and become part owner of the Federation. Some quick investigation by the LWF ownership and its investors revealed that DiBiase was behind a conglomerate that had offered a substantial amount of cash to aid the LWF in its start up. Once it was determined that the Million Dollar Man was the driving force behind the deal and was under contract with the LWF, the deal was cancelled at the last possible second. In a brief statement to the media, Commissioner Cox advised the LWF would not mixed business and talent. Cox did not take any questions from the media which is likely a good thing given the current business arrangements between Giant Baba and the LWF.

Rogers break free by rolling Gotch over but Gotch rolls through and comes out with a GOTCH TOE HOLD. Rogers has nowhere to go and submits.

The Insider is the third segment.
The insider looks at the motivations of The Destroyer in his post match attack on Johnny Valentine. Rumour has it that Valentine will miss at least one card of action and may no be 100% for some time. Sources close to The Destroyer have been telling everyone who will listen that the actions of The Destroyer were a result of the heat of the battle. However the insider has learned that The Destroyer may have taken out Johnny Valentine intentionally. Sources on the Championship Committee have confirmed that Johnny Valentine was slated to meet United States Champion Jimmy Snuka on Card 5. Valentine being selected for the title shot following the suspension of Killer Kowalski. With Johnny Valentine out of action, the United States Title opportunity was again up for grabs and has been awarded to Giant Baba. The long relationship between Giant Baba and The Destroyer is well known in the wrestling world. Did Destroyer act on behalf of Giant Baba? Was the act premeditated? The conspiracy thickens when sources in the Japanese Media advised that Baba will soon be leaving the LWF to return to Japan and Baba would like nothing better then to return home the conquering hero wearing a LWF Championship belt. With no real opportunity at the LWF or LWF Tag Team Titles visible in the short term, Baba may settle for taking the United States Title back to Japan. When confronted with this information, the Commissioner’s Office had no comment and would not respond to rumours. The insider has learned however that Baba’s contract is open and can be terminated by either party with little if any notice. Baba continues to be the focus of controversy backstage in the LWF.
The fourth segment features action from the LWF Arena.

The official is reeling and calls for the bell disqualifying Bockwinkel at 1:22. Bockwinkel is not pleased with the decision. Bastien is not happy either and grabs the house mic and challenges Bockwinkel to a rematch next week. Bockwinkel accepts and the crowd shows its approval.

Match 7: United States Title Match – Jimmy Snuka (ch) v. Giant Baba Japanese media flood ringside before the bout to cover the action. Great reaction for both men. Breznikov joins in giving the Foreign Legion the numbers advantage that the Warriors cannot overcome. Security arrives breaking up the action and the Warriors are left dazed in the ring.
No title changes this card but a Destroyer suffered a significant injury at the hands of the Valentines and Buddy Rose. Commissioner Cox has a difficult decision ahead of him. With Bobo Brazil and now the The Destroyer gone with significant injuries and the Monster Factory still under suspension, the LWF roster is depleted to a near critical point. If the Valentines and Rose are removed, the impact could be catastrophic to the LWF. The next card is already sold out on the strength of the Gotch – Rogers rematch but what will the undercard look like?
