Card #18- Deep South Wrestling- Eddie Marlin presiding
Matt Striker vs Frightmare Frightmare tries to use his spooky mask to get in Striker’s face and yell “boo.” Striker responds by punching Frightmare right square in the face. Frightmare stumbles backwards and Striker presses the advantage. Frightmare never gets in any offense. Striker gets in a near fall with Overdrive and then finishes him off with the GOLDEN RULE.
After losing, Frightmare seems really agitated and frustrated. He grabs the mic and states that he will challenge anyone in the world to meet him in the ring next week. He says he’s not losing another match.
Mike Graham v Matt Jackson Graham starts the match and never lets up. He finishes Jackson off quickly with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Jackson gets up to shake Graham’s hand. When Graham extends his hand, Jackson kicks him below the belt and walks away.
Our cameras catch David Von Erich talking to his opponent for the next match, Bob Armstrong. They’re discussing what it’s like to be part of a dominant wrestling family. Things get heated as each man believes his family is the most accomplished. Bob tells David that if his family had any staying power, Fritz would still be wrestling instead of cowering behind a desk like the weak-minded fool he is. David glares at Bob and then turns to leave. As Armstrong drops his guard, David turns back around and puts the Von Erich IRON CLAW on Armstrong. Bob is helpless and with no referee to break the hold, David doesn’t release it until Bob is nearly unconscious on the floor. Their match is next on the card and I’m not sure Bob can make it out for the opening bell.
Bob Armstrong vs David Von Erich David jumps the wobbly Armstrong just as the bell rings. He takes Armstrong down with a dropkick and then a cross body block for the win.
Kevin Steen vs Tug Taylor This is a rematch from last week after the match ended in a disqualification. There’s no love lost between Steen and Tugboat. They manage a long, hard fought battle before Tug hits the ANCHOR DROP twice for the win. The fight continues way after the pin is registered. The two men are fighting all over the ringside area. Finally, the locker room empties of wrestlers to break up the action. Next we have a four-team tournament for the Deep South tag team championship. The titles were vacated last week when The Fabulous Kangaroos won the World Tag Team Championship from the Midnight Express. The Express are the number 1 team in out tournament, followed by The Tolos Brothers, PG-13 and AC/DC. The first match is coming up next.
The Midnight Express vs AC/DC This first round matchup is tougher than many expect. AC/DC is aggressive from the beginning but Condrey and Eaton’s experience as a team win out. The Midnight Express win when Condrey pins Corbin after the DARK SIDE.
The Tolos Brothers vs PG-13 PG-13 shows why they were such a good team for so long, but the Tolos Brothers get the victory when John Tolos hits the FLYING KNEE DROP ON JC Ice.
World Cruiserweight Championship: Angelo Poffo vs Caleb Conley Conley put up a good fight, but Poffo defended his title with relative ease. Conley would not go down easily, however as he kicked out of 3 pin attempts before Poffo finally got him with the NECKBREAKER.
Jim Cornette is in the ring and takes the mic from the ring announcer. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you The once and future world tag team champions! Loverboy Dennis and Beautiful Bobby…The Midnight Express!!
Deep South Tag Team Title Tournament Final- Midnight Express w/Jim Cornette vs The Tolos Brothers Two of the most brutal tag teams in the sport collide in this one as the win the Deep South Tag Team Championship when Condrey pinned John Tolos after a FACE FIRST LEG SWEEP.

Card #19- Central States Wrestling- Sam Munchick presiding
Stokely Hathaway is standing in the ring as the show opens, holding a microphone. He starts by talking about how women’s wrestling doesn’t get the credit it deserves. He says that the women’s champion is every bit as deserving and every bit as talented as her male counterparts. With that, he asks Sherri Martel to come to the ring. He proceeds to tell her how he can make her a household name, not just in wrestling, but in places like Sports Illustrated. He asks her for a chance to manage her starting tonight, in her defense against Amber O’Neil. She agrees and they walk to the locker room together.
Drew Gulak vs Acid Jaz Acid Jaz won in 7:31 with the Lo Down
Valiants vs Johnny Saint/Tyler Black The Valiants won in 10:17 when the brothers double clotheslined Tyler Black
Red Bastien vs John Pesek Red Bastien won by countout in 15:58 Konnan vs Mr. Saito
This match is wild from the very beginning. Konnan hits a somersault lariat and gets a near fall in the first 30 seconds of the match. Konnan gets 4 near falls on Saito before he finally gets the win by DQ when he drops Saito throat first on the announcer’s table. Saito is injured in this match and could miss up to 3 months
Jim Londos vs Masked Superstar Superstar dodges a kick from Londos to start the match and whips him into the ropes. Londos ducks and elbow and comes back with a diving clothesline that knocks both of them out of the ring. They get back in the ring and Londos locks in a Boston Crab. He maintains the hold for nearly a full minute trying to get Superstar to quit. Superstar won’t even consider that option, so Londos finally lets go and locks in a reverse toe hold. Superstar breaks the hold and Londos tries to kick him in the knee again. Superstar sidesteps it again and flattens his opponent with a clothesline. They continue to battle back and forth until Londos finally locks in a sleeper at 6:36 for the win.
Before the next match, a highlight video is shown of incoming superstar Freddie Blassie!!
The Grappler/The Spoiler vs Ace Orton and Abraham Lincoln The Grappler starts out against Honest Abe. The Grappler is in control until he charges Lincoln in the corner and the resourceful former president moves out of the way, allowing his masked opponent to crash face first into the turnbuckle. Lincoln goes for the quick pin, but The Grappler kicks out at one. Lincoln tags in Ace Orton who immediately smashes The Grappler in the face with his cast. He goes for the pin, but Grappler’s foot is under the ropes. The Cowboy finishes Grappler off with an Orton Bomb at 3:46
The ring announcer takes the mic and announces that Amber O’Neal is not here for her scheduled title shot against Sherri Martel. However, It turns out that someone else is here and willing to take on the shot on short notice. Tonight’s women’s title match will now be between champion Sherri Martel and challenger Mildred Burke!!
Ox Baker vs Randy Savage
Savage starts the match off with a suplex to take control. He whips Baker into the ropes and goes for a back body drop, but Baker drops a big elbow on the back of his head. He grabs the stunned Savage and hits him with the deadly HEART PUNCH and goes for the pin. Savage kicks out at 2 and Baker locks in a bear hug. Savage is fading quickly but he won’t quit. Baker throws Savage into the ropes and goes for a clothesline. Savage ducks it and grabs a Crucifix to try for a surprise pin. Baker kicks out and both men get quickly to their feet and Baker connects with the HEART PUNCH again! And again, Savage kicks out! There’s no way Savage can take much more of this. Baker leaps in the air, aiming a huge stomp at Savage’s chest. Savage rolls out of the way at the last second. Savage connects with a neckbreaker clothesline. He tries another one, but Baker blocks it with his own arm and locks in a nerve hold. Savage breaks the hold and nearly suplexes Baker right out of his boots! As Baker staggers to his feet, Savage climbs the ropes and connects with a flying axehandle for the win in 11:48!
Christina von Eerie vs Sumie Sakai
Sumie Sakai dominated this match from the opening bell and won with a MOONSAULT in 3:54
Baba and Tiger Mask vs Young Bucks
Baba lands a forearm smash on Matt to begin the match. Baba follows up with a headbutt that staggers Matt but he still manages to hit N-Sync and then tag his brother. The bucks tag in and out several times in quick succession trying to wear the Giant down. Matt goes for the X-factor again but Baba counters it and tries to lock in the falling armbreaker. Matt is too quick and escapes the move and then lands the X-factor. Tiger Mask finally tags in and hits a rolling Senton. He tags back out to the legendary Baba who hits the NECKBREAKER DROP for the win in 14:47
Women’s Title Match- Sherri Martel w/Stokely Hathaway vs Mildred Burke In a surprising turn, Sherri completely dominated this match. Pinning Mildred Burke in 3:18 with the TOP ROPE SPLASH.

Blair counter punches and then takes Steen down with an armdrag. He follows up with a series of punches and kicks, but Steen takes him down and locks in a Sharpshooter. Blair reaches the ropes and executes a waistlock takedown to regain control. Blair dishes out some punishment and then goes for a dropkick off the second rope. Jim Cornette has asked for special interview time. And since he owns the League of American Wrestling, he gets what he wants.
Cornette: "Ladies and gentlemen I'm about to say something I thought would never escape my lips. I made a mistake. There...I said it. Don't expect it to ever happen again. I let my mother buy up all the wrestling in this country because I thought it would be fun. Turns out, it's actually a lot of work! My responsibilities took me away from my Midnight Express. And now that I'm working with World champion Buddy Rogers and Curt Hennig, I just don't have time for this nonsense anymore. I've decided to sell this big mess to the only people who are qualified to run it. I'm selling LAW to Paul Boesch, Sam Munchnick and Eddie Graham.
They've decided to dissolve LAW and reinstate the NWA. I can't say it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. They're vacating all titles and will start holding tournaments immediately, starting with the NWA world title, which my man Buddy Rogers will win again and hold until the day he retires. Here's a list of the men who will take part in the 32-man tournamet to crown the NWA world heavyweight champion.
World Title Tournament: 1. Ric flair 2. Lou Thesz 3. Mil Mascaras 4. Randy Savage 5. Freddie Blassie 6. AJ Styles 7. Nick Bockwinkel 8. Roddy Piper 9. Buddy Rogers 10. Harley Race 11. Kevin Steen 12. Rob Van Dam 13. Bryan Danielson 14. Bobo Brazil 15. Frank Gotch 16. Bruiser Brody 17. Jimmy Snuka 18. Giant Baba 19. Terry Gordy 20. Tommy Rich 21. Antonino Rocca 22. Blackjack Mulligan 23. The NWA is coming, great news that I wasn't expecting to hear. Cool way to do it too with Cornette selling it to Boesch, Muchnick and Graham. I'm looking forward to what is to come, especially what looks to be an epic tournament to crown a new world heavyweight champion.

As Yung is heading to the ring, Bates attacks her on the ramp. They fight all over the ringside area. The referee finally gains control and the match starts.

“Cowboy” Bob Orton vs Anthony Nese

Steen made surprisingly short work of Mulligan. He hit F-CINQ but Mulligan kicked out. He followed that up with the PACKAGE PILEDRIVER for the win.
World Title Tournament Match: Ric Flair vs George Hackenschmidt
Flair decides to open the world title tournament in style. He’s wearing his finest blue robe and he has 3 beautiful women on each arm. He walks slowly to the ring, making Hackenshmidt wait as the theme from 2001 a Space Odyssey plays hauntingly over the loudspeakers.
Hackenschmidt takes exception to Flair’s antics and goes after him as soon as the bell rings. Flair manages to roll Hackenschmidt into a small package and uses the ropes for leverage to get the win. After the match, Flair continues the attack. Eager to show that he’s the best in the world. He locks the Russian Lion in the

Card #22 Indiana Convention Expo, Indianapolis, IN
Tyler Black vs Hanson The competitors in this match spend a lot of time fighting outside the ring, which plays to Hanson’s size and strength advantage. He wins the exchange and uses the momentum to hit the SPIN KICK OF DOOM for the win.
Roddy Piper vs Caleb Conley As Piper comes to the ring, he starts arguing with some ringside fans who are criticizing his kilt. Just when it looks like things are going to get violent, Conley flattens Piper with a suicide dive from the top rope and throws Piper into the ring. Conley presses his advantage and keeps Piper off balance until Piper pulls something out of his trunks and hits Conley in the face with it. The referee does not see it and Piper then locks in the SLEEPER for the win.
Claudio Castagnoli vs Trent Barreta Claudio jumped Barreta just as the bell rang and kept the advantage for the entire match. He won in quick fashion with the RICCOLA BOMB.
Tyler Black comes down to the ring and demands a re-match with Hanson next week because Hanson just got lucky and there’s no way he can win twice in a row!. Hanson comes down and agrees. The rematch is signed!
The Killer Bees vs Soldier Ant and Worker Ant The Bees d the Ants with little trouble as Bruzell took Worker Ant down with HIGH FLYING DROPKICKS.
Tony Atlas vs Danny Hodge This is a rematch from last week. Hodge made “Mr. USA” submit to a boston crab. Atlas was really angry after that match and demanded to get Hodge in the ring again. As soon as Atlas steps out of the locker room it’s obvious that he’s still angry. While Bobby Cruise is announcing the competitors, Atlas attacks Hodge and the match is underway! Atlas wins quickly with the PRESS SLAM AND SPLASH
We have a very special guest with us tonight for an interview. The massive…and massively beloved….ANDRE THE GIANT!!! Andre comes to the ring and engulfs the microphone with his massive hand. “Thank you for the kind words…but beloved does not pay Andre’s bills. I’ve made a decision that you may not like and this interview is an advertisement for me. I have decided to rent my service to the highest bidder. So, Jim Cornette, if you need someone to eliminate Nick Bockwinkel for you…or if Bobby Heenan wants Buddy Rogers out of the title picture…all you need to do is meet my price and consider it done. From now on you can call me “Andre the Giant Mercenary” if you wish.

World Title Tournament Match: Bruiser Brody vs Jimmy Snuka This was a brutal contest. Both men hit his finisher, but Brody’s proved to be more devastating as he hit the FLYING KNEEDROP and was able to get the pin. Unfortunately, Brody suffered broken ribs and some internal bleeding from taking the SUPERFLY LEAP. He’ll be out for up to 5 months. The championship committee has ruled that Snuka will advance in his place.
