This is a wild brawl from the beginning and Black gets DQ’d for taking his frustrations with “The Macho Man” out with a steel chair. Time of match: 3:19.
Tokens: Savage 1, Black 4
Tyler Black tore a muscle in his wrist. He will be hurt for about 16 cards.

- Before the match, Vader grabs the mic and states that, as the Midwest heavyweight champion, he deserves a US title shot. The new commissioner of the NWA, Charlie Cox, comes out and agrees with Vader and decrees that he’ll get a title shot at the next available opportunity.
- Before the bell rings, Jim Cornette and the Midnight Madness hit the ring. They all attack Vader, while Cornette is talking to Andre, they are obviously hoping to injure him before he gets a shot a US champion Buddy Rogers! Vader manages to fight them off and he seems a little winded but ok as the bell rings.
Vader starts the match in control, but Andre quickly turns the tide and wins with a headbutt in 5:13. It seems obvious that Cornette hired Andre to try and eliminate the threat of Vader, as Vader is limping pretty severely as he leaves the ring. As Vader is limping to the back, Andre comes up behind him and kicks his legs out from under him. He stomps on Vader’s ankle repeatedly until officials threaten a significant fine. As Andre strolls back to the locker room, he’s heard muttering to himself: “This has been a very profitable evening.”

- Styles and Lee are trying to get revenge for Sheik and Volkoff draping the Iranian and Russian flags over them after a recent match.
- Styles has not arrived at the arena and will be replaced by one-half of the Fantastics…Tommy Rogers
Rogers steps right in and takes control against The Iron Sheik. He and Lee look like they’ve been teaming for a while instead of this being the very first time. Sheik and Volkoff, however are a great tag team and they do a good job of isolating Lee. Keith fights through it, makes the tag to Rogers who cleans house and tags again. Lee hits the SPIRITBOMB (+1) for the win in 6:45. Sheik and Volkoff dump Rogers outside the ring and focus on Lee. They double team him until Rogers is able to get back into the ring to make the save. Lee suffers a shoulder injury and will be hurt for about 9 cards.
Sabu vs Justin Credible
This was a brutal match in which both men dished out tons of punishment. Justin Credible finally won in 15:42 with THAT’S INCREDIBLE. After the match he beat Sabu with his Singapore Cane all the way back to the locker room.

The four men engage in a stare down before officials come and split them up.

As the next match is about to get underway, Harley Race comes to the ring and announces that he ready to make a name for himself here in Eastern Sports and if anyone is willing to take him on, He’ll happily humiliate them in a match tonight.
The crowd erupts when none other than Rob Van Dam walks to the top of the ramp and points first at Martinez and then at himself. It looks like we’ve got ourselves a match later tonight, folks!

Trent Seven controlled most of the match but Severn got out of the way of a suicide dive and locked in the WAKIGATAME (+1) for the win.

Backlund explains that he and Keirn are ready to take on all comers and that the Assassins are in for a tough battle. The Assassins enter the area and start arguing with Keirn and Backlund. It looks like they’re about to come to blows when the referee comes out and tells them to take it to the ring.
Bob Backlund and Steve Keirn vs The Assassins
Backlund totally shocks Assassin #1 with a ROLLING BACKBRIDGE in 1:09. Neither man made a tag before this one was over.
Dalton Castle vs Eddie Edwards
Edwards took control of this one early and won with DIE HARD (+2) in 1:48.
World Tag Team Title Match- Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka (Champions) vs The Hamilton Wrecking Crew
As Piper and Snuka approach the ring, they’re attacked by the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette! This is apparently revenge for Piper and Snuka winning the belts from them. Piper and Snuka manage to fight off Eaton and Condrey but they’re obviously weakened from the battle, and the fresh, sadistic, Tolos Brothers are waiting for them.
The pre-match action doesn’t seem to bother Snuka and Piper as Jimmy hits John Tolos with the SUPERFLY SPLASH (+3) for the win in :43
It turns out that Snuka suffered a shoulder injury when he was attacked. He will be hurt for about 13 cards.
Eastern tag team title match: Hartford and Reginald Love vs Tracey Smothers and JT Lightning

Abraham Lincoln vs Billy Red Lyons
Honest Abe won this match by countout in 6:53
Keith Lee vs Nikolai Volkoff- First Blood Match
There’s been bad blood between Lee and Volkoff ever since Volkoff and The Iron Sheik draped their flags over AJ Styles and Lee. Styles abandoned the team and left the area, but Lee has found a partner in Tommy Rogers that has more than held his own. Now it’s time for some of that bad blood to be spilled. Volkoff goes on the offensive early. He’s driving his knuckles into Lee’s head trying to split the skin and he’s really got his opponent on the ropes. Lee bounces back and hits several of his finishers in a row. He finally draws first blood on the Russian by ramming his head into the ringpost. Time of match: 6:54
Tokens: Lee 3, Volkoff 4

Gordon Solie climbs into the ring to make a special announcement: Ladies and gentlemen…We have a very special event coming up. THE TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS. The TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS will be the annual defining event of the new NWA. This will be a multi-day series of round robin tournaments involving 16 of the top wrestlers in the entire world. On the final day of the tournament, The winners of their respective tournaments will meet in a final round robin tournament. The winner will be crowned THE LEGEND. Also worth noting, The NWA World title will be on the line in every match the champion participates in. The World champion and US champion are automatically entered. So, the winner will likely be the new NWA world champion and he will also be guaranteed entry into next year’s TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS. Also, to ensure the best wrestler wins, there will be no managers, seconds, valets, partners or anyone else allowed at ringside. The others will be determined by a series of qualifying matches, starting tonight. Tonight’s qualifying match will be Shawn Michaels vs “Hacksaw” Butch Reed!.
*Promoter’s Note* Those of you who have been on the boards for a while may recognize this format as the Impossible Tournament, created by Swarm. I’m recreating this concept with his permission.

Bruiser dominated this match from the opening seconds. He beat Koslov with the STOMACH CLAW (+1) in 1:06
Legendary Tournament Qualifier: Shawn Michaels vs “Hacksaw Butch Reed”
Reed jumps Michaels just as the bell rings and rocks him with a clothesline and then a headstomp. Michaels quickly gets to his feet and goes on offense, but Reed stops him with a powerslam and a fist drop. Reed continues his offensive and beats Michaels in 4:34 with a TOP ROPE SHOULDERBLOCK (+2). Butch Reed is going to the Tournament of Legends!

Ivan and Nikita work over Backlund until he’s able to tag in Tommy Rich. Rich locks Nikita in the SLEEPER. Nikita breaks the hold but in his weakened state it’s easy for Rich to tag Backlund back in so Bob can get the win with the ROLLING BACKBRIDGE in 4:58
Mid-Atlantic Tv Title Match Blackheart Bastien vs Drew Galloway
Bastien pulls out every trick in the book and shows his resilience as he kicks out of 4 pin attempts before he finally gets beat in 13:02 with the DOUBLE ARM DDT (+2)
Tokens: Bastien 5. Bastien suffered a shoulder injury and will be hurt for about 8 cards.
Harley Race vs Rob Van Dam
-Before the match, Van Dam grabs the mic and says that if he beats this old-washed up has-been then he should get a shot at the Mid-Atlantic Title. Commissioner Cox steps out and tell Van Dam that if he can’t beat an “old washed-up has-been” like former 7 time world-champion Harley Race then not only does he not deserve a title shot, but maybe he shouldn’t be in Mid-Atlantic Wrestling at all!
Van Dam is kicking the ropes and screaming as Cox heads back into the locker room Van Dam is still furious when Race slips up behind him and tries to roll him up for a quick pin. Van Dam kicks out and the match continues. Race tries to keep the match slow and methodical while Van Dam tries to ramp up the pace and the brutality. He almost gets disqualified several times. Race finally hits the PILEDRIVER (+2) for the win in 5:21
Tokens: Race 3, Van Dam 3- Harley Race tore a muscle in his wrist. He will be hurt for about 8 cards. Rob Van Dam aggravated an existing neck injury and will be hurt for about 12 cards

Mid Atlantic Tag Team Title- Sid Vicious and Dan Spivey vs Randy Savage and Tyler Black
Tyler Black and Randy Savage prove to be a much better team than anyone expected. They’re wary of each other as the match progresses, but both of them obviously want the prestige and money that comes with the tag team championship. Savage and Black do a great job of keeping Sid locked in their corner. Black finally gets the win with the ‘buckle bomb in 7:44. After the match, Spivey can’t believe what just happened. They got beat by two guys who can’t stand each other. He starts yelling at Sid who doesn’t seem to be in the mood to listen. Spivey is disgusted and turns to walk away. Sid spins him around, kicks him in the stomach and hits him with the POWER BOMB!!! In the meantime, Black and Savage take their belts and head for the locker room.
