Fit Finlay vs Matt Striker -Finlay took an amazing amount of punishment in this fairly short match - Matt Striker won in 5:46 after hitting the GOLDEN RULE 4 times.
While Striker is celebrating his win, Finlay gets to his feet and starts berating Striker. Matt turns towards him and the two start yelling at one another. Finally, the referee is able to seperate them as we get ready for our next match.
Blackjack Mulligan vs Joey Daddiego - The Florida crowd loves Blackjack Mulligan. His entrance nearly takes the roof off the building - Daddiego sneak attacks Mulligan while he's getting his ring attire off and nails him from the second rope with an elbow to the head. - Mulligan is not able to recover and Daddiego picks up a quick win with the DEATH VALLEY DRIVER in 3:07
The Heroes of Wrestling and Killer Kowalski vs The Heavenly Bodies and Bob Orton Jr. -Chris Hero pinned Tom Prichard with the CYCLONE KILL in 7:46
The New Age Outlaws vs Hacksaw Duggan and George "The Animal" Steele - Duggan and Steele pulled off a pretty shocking upset when Duggan pinned Kip in 2:35 with a spinning bodyslam.
This next match was supposed to be a First Blood match between Curt Hennig and Steve "Dr" Death" Williams stemming from the ongoing feud between their respective groups, The Midnight Horsemen and the Bobby Heenan Family. However, Williams apparently missed his flight and can't be here. He's been replaced by none other than NICK BOCKWINKEL!!
First Blood: Nick Bockwinkel w/Bobby Heenan vs Curt Hennig w/Jim Cornette -Hennig attacks Bockwinkel before the managers even get out of the ring. The referee sends both managers to the back and signals to ring the bell. - This is a brutal match between two men with an ugly history. - Bockwinkel finally wins in 7:44 after he manages to cut Hennig's arm by slamming it into the ringpost. - Hennig suffered minor injuries and may miss a few weeks of action.
Florida Title Match: Roddy Piper vs Petey Williams - Piper comes to the ring to loud boos that are only drowned out by his wailing on his bagpipes as he walks down the aisle. - Piper wins in 2:49 with the SLEEPER.

Red Bastien loses to the DOUBLE DROPKICK in 3:33
THE ROCK N ROLL EXPRESS ARE THE NEW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
After the match, the Redheads, obviously tired of playing second fiddle to teams like the Express, attack Ricky and Robert with a vengeance. They grab the title belts and beat the Rock n Rolls into a bloody mess with them. This all occurs as the champions music continues to play over the loudspeaker. The Flying Redheads walk back to the locker room after dropping the belts on the announcer's table.
Southern Title Match: Dusty Rhodes vs Randy Savage (Hurt 5) - Savage comes into this match nursing several injuries that may hamper his chance to win. - Dusty walks to the ring with fans hanging all over him. Card # 35- Mid-South Championship Wrestling-Farris Center, Conway, Arkansas
Promoter's Note- This is supposed to be a reincarnation of the NWA. While I'm aware that Mid-South was not officially a member, the only other option, Tri-States had to be used for another promotion, and this was the best option.
One Man Gang, Rich Swan and S.D. Jones vs Player Uno, Player Dos and Johnny Yuma - This was a short match that ended with Johnny Yuma hitting EXPLOSIVE AMNESIA on Rich Swan for the win in 4:05
Austin Theory vs Kevin Steen - Austin Theory starts the match off a little too strong. He gets DQ'd when the match goes outside the ring and he smashes Steen headfirst into the ringpost. Time of match: 1:52
As he leaves the ring, Theory seems frustrated to have lost because he couldn't control his own emotions better.
The next match was scheduled to be Kevin Sullivan and Bob Roop vs PG-13. However, Roop is not here, so Sullivan had to accept the only available peron in the locker room, Brian Christopher! - Sullivan is extremely aggressive from the onset of the match and never allows Christopher to get in the ring. He finally beat Wolfie D with a clothesline in 12:47.
After the match, Sullivan is talking animatedly to Christopher and Brian is just nodding and listening as they head to the back.
As PG-13 is leaving the ring, the announcer meets them with a microphone. As they start to talk about how they were robbed, Rhino, tonight's challenger for the North Americn Title comes to ringside. Rhino: "You punks clear the hell outta here. This is my interview time!!" When J.C. Ice protests, Rhino GORES him into the concrete. When Wolfie D jumps him he tosses him to the floor and then GORES him when he gets up. Rhino is conducting his interview standing among the broken bodies of PG-13.
The Patriot vs Ed "Strangler" Lewis -Lewis took a lot of punishment in this match. His opponent hit the PATRIOT MISSILE 3 times but couldn't secure the pin. -Lewis grabbed The Patriot in the STRANGLER'S HEADLOCK but couldn't get the win. But he did enough damage that he was able to win with a full nelson in 4:39
We've got word that there's an altercation happening in the back and we've got a camera crew on the scene! It looks like Rhino tried to attack North American champion Bruiser Brody, but Brody was a bit tougher than he expected. They're brawling all over the locker room area where suitcases and clothes are flying all over the place! Order is finally restored but both men are bleeding profusely before the title match even gets here!
Ivan and Nikita Koloff vs Dan Severn and Mark Andrews -Severn was on fire in this match. Ivan never got out of the ring before Severn tied him up in a knot and beat him with the WAKIGATAME (+1) in 4:10
Madison Rayne vs Chelsea Green - Madison won with a diving spear in 3:01
Finlay and Dave Taylor vs 2 Cold Scorpio and Tiger Mask - Finlay and Taylor win in 5:39 when Finlay pinned Tiger Mask with a flying shoulder block.
Shimmer Championship Match- Mildred Burke (Champion) vs Leva Bates - Burke completely dominated this match, winning in 2:34 with a forearm uppercut. - Bates did kick out of 3 previous pin attempts before losing.
Mid-South Tag Team Title Match: Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson (champions) vs Mark and Jay Briscoe - The Briscoes are a fantastic team, but Tully and Arn are a hall of fame machine and it showed in this match. Tully pinned Mark with the SLINGSHOT SUPLEX in 10:12
North American Title Match: Bruiser Brody (champion) vs Rhino - The two big men pick right up where they left off earlier tonight. There is no wrestling happening, as fists and chairs are flying fast. Brody even tries to use his chain. The referee has no choice but to call this match a no contest and beg for help from the locker room to break it up.

#35 NWA New Mexico- McNichols Sports Arena, Denver, Colorado
Welcome to the first installment of NWA New Mexico. As we're bringing back the NWA, some territories might not be familiar to our fans. NWA New Mexico ran in New Mexico, Colorado and El Paso, Texas from 1950 through 1982. Many notable stars came through here, Buddy Rogers and Don Leo Johnathan were both holders of the Rocky Mountain Championship as well as men like "Iron" MIke Dibiase. The world-famous Fabulous Kangaroos held the Rocky Mountain tag titles at one point as well. The new version of NWA New Mexico will run the same towns and have the same titles. Tonight we'll have the initial matches to crown all 3 champions and start to establish the new names that will carry on that tradition!!
The show opens with former LAW world champion Buddy Rogers standing in the ring with Jim Cornette. Rogers: "I know Jimmy here had a good reason for selling LAW and reforming the NWA, but I don't have to be happy about losing my belt without getting pinned! That's ok, though. As great as I am, I'll just go back to my roots, win the Rocky Mountains Title tonight, for old times sake, then use it to get a rematch with that hick, Tommy Rich. Then I'll have my belt back where it belongs!"
While Rogers is talking, Bobby Heenan enters the ring and starts telling Buddy that it doesn't matter what he does, because he can't beat Nick Bockwinkel even if he does beat Tommy Rich for the NWA title. While they're arguing, Cornette is trying to get Buddy's attention, but he reacts too late. Bockwinkel jumps him from behind and Heenan knocks Cornette out of the ring.
Rogers turns and tries to fight Bockwinkel off, but Heenan keeps getting in his way. Bockwinkel locks in his deadly SLEEPER and won't let go. Heenan is keeping Cornette at bay. Rogers is slumping to the mat and he's starting to drool and foam at the mouth. Officials are rushing the ring trying to break the hold, but Heenan is slowing them down. They finally get Bockwinkel to release the hold, but it may be too late. Rogers may be unable to wrestle tonight!
As he's leaving the ring, Bockwinkel grabs the mic and yells "To a nicer guy...It couldn't happen!!!" and then slams the mic down as he continues down the aisle.
While the paramedics are getting Rogers up the aisle, let's go back to the ring for our first match.
Jim Powers vs Zack Sabre Jr. - Sabre totally dominates this match, winning with a Kimura Lock in 3:00 - Powers got in no offense, but he didn't go down easily. Sabre hit him with the CROSS ARMBREAKER 3 times and couldn't get the pin.
The next match was supposed to be Terry Gordy vs Matt Cross. Cross is not here so we've had to make a substitution.
Terry Gordy vs Mad Dog Vachon -Vachon stunned Gordy in this one, by winning with the PILEDRIVER (+2) IN 3:18 - Gordy started in control, but Vachon took over and just continued dishing out punishment until he could get Gordy in position for his finisher.
After the match, Don Leo Jonathan, Buddy Rogers' opponent tonight, comes to ringside and asks for the mic. "I just want to let everyone know that even though I want that Rocky Mountain belt more than anything in the world, I won't win it by forfeit. If Buddy Rogers can't wrestle tonight then I'll agree to postpone the match until I can beat him fair and square. I also want it known that Bobby Heenan and Nick Bokwinkel are a couple of the biggest cowards in this business and I'll gladly step in for Rogers if Bockwinkel needs to have his butt kicked!!"
Trish Stratus vs Candice Larae -This one turns into a brawl as soon as the bell rings. The match ends up outside the ring where Larae is disqualified for strangling Stratus with the microphone cord. The officials finally get the seperated and raise Trish's hand.
Andre the Giant was scheduled to wrestle William Muldoon, but Muldoon no-showed. Instead he will face Mike Graham.
Andre the Giant vs Mike Graham -Andre easily tosses Graham outside the ring and then goes out and bodyslams him on the concrete floor. Andre wins by countout.
Andre takes the mic in his massive hand "I want it known that the only reason I'm here is to enough money to retire in the style I deserve. Bobby Heenan, we've had our differences, but if you pay me enough, I'll make sure Buddy Rogers never bothers you again. Jim Cornette, I'll get Nick Bockwinkel out of your way if your mother's check clears.
Claudio Castagnoli vs Davey Richards - Davey took over early and grabbed the ANKLE LOCK for the win.
Sabu vs Justin Credible -Credible and Sabu continued their violent feud with a short match that saw Sabu get DQ'd for leaping off the turnbuckle into Justin's head with a steel chair.
Shane Douglas vs Buzz Sawyer - Douglas jumps a surprised Sawyer before the bell and never lets up. He wins in 1:57 with the PITTSBURGH PLUNGE.
New Mexico State Title Match- Lou Thesz vs Ric Flair -This is an amazing back and forth match with both men showing off their technical abilities. - Thesz finally won in 8:13 with the GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP (+2)
LOU THESZ IS THE NEW MEXICO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Rocky Mountain Tag Team Titles: The Fabulous Kangaroos vs Barry Windham and Blackjack Mulligan - The Kangaroos completely dominate this match after hitting the BOOMERANG (+3) on Mulligan.
THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS ARE THE NEW ROCKY MOUNTAIN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
Rocky Mountain Championship- Buddy Rogers vs Don Leo Jonathan - Rogers and Cornette come to the ring, but Buddy looks kind of wobbly but he's determined to compete. - "The Nature Boy" actually holds on to win in 5:36 with the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE.
BUDDY ROGERS IS THE NEW ROCKY MOUNTAIN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
