Cool to see Caelum and Prince grab the gold. Also fun to see Keller win. Interestingly from my old GWF EC fed, Keller held the tag titles with Caelum at one point (Caelum in fact was a double champion) before time and circumstances ended the run. Perhaps I'll go back some day and run some more.

Perhaps I'll go back some day and run some more. I definitely considered Keller and Caelum as a team, they'd be really hard to beat! I ended up going with character development over stats... Keller (as you'll see over time) ended up being the guy to help out the new wrestlers (as he will later with Nexus), while Caelum was more just game for anything, but having no particular loyalty to anyone in particular. (there's a good angle there in a couple game years, too).

1/1/75 Deimos
Omega came out prior to the action starting and announced that the first event outside of Deimos would be on Cetus, and that this would be an extra event, in addition to the monthly cards here on Deimos. He promised that as long as the fans demand it, the GWF will tour and bring wrestling action live to the whole Galaxy
Santon def. Torpor* (Flying Elbow Drop)
Ricken Prince* def. Solar Flare (Bow to the Prince) Vicious Match! Both men introduced the other to the ring post, but it was a bit of gamesmanship that lead to the finish. The Prince pointed out an unruly fan at ringside and while the referee had turned made Solar Flare bow for the victory.
Cross Currents*** def. Mensans**** (Watery Grave) An excellent performance by both teams that really shined the spotlight on the excitement that tag team wrestling can bring. This was by far the Cross Currents best performance, but the Mensans are no slouches.. the action when back and forth several times. A blind tag lead to hitting Cordsar with Watery Grave to secure the victory.
Torin Caelum def. Screw (Torin Death Lock) Screw tried to overpower his opponent as usual but Caelum was able to use a series of brilliant counters to stay away from any big impact moves. The ending came when he twisted around when Screw was going for a power bomb and was able to get behind him and lock in the Torin Death Lock for the victory.
Moonstrike def. Omega*** (Superkick) Surprisingly one sided affair.. Omega seemed distracted and never really go in much offense. He survived a Paladin Drop, but seemed to have no answer for Moonstrike's style. The Titanw ill battle for the GWF Title next month!
Defiance def. Dorado Sundown****(Bad Night) With Morpheus out with an injury, Defiance stepped up to defend the honor of the GWF, and attempt to keep the cowboys out of the title picture. The POW vets are bad men when they want to be, and used quick tags and double teams to stymie any momentum their opponents could muster. After kicked out of Scar Tissue, BLacklash was pinned by Jammer after a double clothesline and Bad Night. Defiance will get the 1st crack at the tag team titles.

So great to see Early Classics still getting love all these years later. I guess that’s why they’re called classics.

2/1/2075 Deimos
Screw** def. Bullwhip** (Freakish Face Slam) A real collision between the unstoppable force and the immoveable object! Bullwhip had the early upper hand, but Screw nearly ejected him from the ring when he tried to cover him too soon. The action spilled outside, and Screw was able to dodge a shoulder tackle, as Bullwhip smashed himself into the ring steps. It was academic after that, with Screw delivering the Freakish Face Slam to secure the victory
Solar Flare def. Santon (fallaway Slam) Ultra-quick match.. just 3 moves was all it took!
Omega came out to the ring with a mic for his match against Blacklash, and told the crowd that Commander Sam's knee surgery was a success, and that he would be back to the ring before anyone knew it. Morpheus, on the other hand, would be back on Cetus in just 2 weeks for the first GWF Touring show! Omega promised he and Morpheus would defeat Dorado Sundown and show them the value of fair honest competition. Omega seemed ready to continue when Blacklash interrupted... 'Only if you make it there, Pardner' was all he had to say as he started the match early
Omega def. Blacklash* (Tomahawk Thrustx2) After his inital onslaught, Blacklash didn't have much going tonight, but it turned out that was the plan all along. Bullwhip hit the ring as soon as Omega's hand was raised and hit him from behind with a cowbell. The two rabble rousers had evil intentions when the crowd ROARED to see Morpheus hit the ring with a cattle prod in his hand. Ribs heavily taped and clearly in pain, the founder cleared the ring, wildly swinging the prod, as Dorado Sundown beat a hasty retreat. Morpheus dropped to one knee as soon as the cowboys were out of sight and Omega helped him to the back to a standing ovation.
Mensans def. Cross Currents** (Mensan Lock on Thetis) Vortex never got into the ring, though the crowd was a bit dead after the 'hang over' the the excitement just before, the Mensans showed some impressive teamwork on their way to an easy victory
Galaxian Title Match
Moonstrike def. KO Keller* by DQ The match didn't last long inside the ring, but Moonstrike was able to hang with the champ blow for blow, until he Keller stopped exchanging fists and whipped the title through the guard rail into the crowd, causing the DQ. After a moment of calming down, Keller seemed a big chagrined, and offered a rematch next month to make up for his loss of temper. Moonstrike took his offered hand and agreed.
Galaxian Tag Team Title Match
Defiance* def. Torin Caelum/Ricken Prince***** (shoulder breaker on Caelum) to become the new champs! The challengers came on strong, and after some early back and forth action and a near fall for the Prince, Caelum got cut off and the POW vets went to work, wearing him down with a vast array of submission moves. Caelum just got to the ropes to escape Bad Night, and had to have the Prince make the save from a sleeper. Blood abrupted changed tactics and was able to stun him with a shoulder breaker long enough to get the pin

GWF on Tour Miri War Dome, Cetus 2/15/2075
Thetis def. Torpor by DQ Thetis had his best performance to date, but Torpor wasn't interested in losing and used a foreign object to change the momentum and cause a DQ
Paladin Power**** def. Mensans*** (Titan Drop on Trotarus) Excellent back and forth match that could have gone either way. Trotarus saved his partner from the Paladin Drop, and, once he got the hot tag, nearly got Moonstrike to tap to the Mensan Lock. Solar Flare made a timely save, though and the Paladins resumed control and were able to get the victory
Torin Caelum def. Santon (Abdominal Stretch) solid back and forth match, but a relatively quick victory for Caelum
The Prince came out for his match in rare form, with full regal dress and a few retainers. A hush fell over the crowd as his procession slowly entered the ring. He waited patiently as a minion brought him a mic, and then called out the knaves called Defiance that stole his tag team titles without even pinning him. He was about to continue expressing his disdain when Jammer hit the ring to start their match
Jammer def. Ricken Prince** (Bad Night) Perhaps the Prince should have spend more time focusing on wrestling. Jammer was fired up at the insults, and tore into his opponent and quickly locking in Bad Night. Jammer was slow to release the hold, resulting in 2 of the Prince's entourage to pull him off. Blood took exception, and came out for the save. Not being trained wrestlers, the retainers were quickly disposed of, and allowed Defiance to deliver a devasting double flying elbow drop to leave himi laying in the center of the ring.
Up next on the card, Blood was feeling it, and called out the champ. He told the Cetan crowd he would be the first ever double champ, and asked KO for a title shot after he beat him tonight. KO Keller seemed faintly amused at the notion as he headed toward the ring, and shook Blood's hand to seal the deal.
Non-Title Match KO Keller def. blood by DQ The action quickly spilled outside, as matches between POW alumni often do, and Blood managed to get the upper hand by slamming Keller into the guard rail. With the chaos earlier in the night, the referee was determined to keep control and called for what seemed to be a rather quick DQ
Guardians def. Dorado Sundown (Indian Death Lock) The crowd was pumped for this big showdown, and all four men meant business as they prepared for the match. Morpheus still had his ribs taped and allowed Omega to start against Blacklash. The early action was definitely some feeling out, and Morpheus was in for just a brief time. Omega then locked in the Indian Death Lock on Bullwhip, who tapped surprisingly quickly to send the crowd home happy, but slightly let down at the lackluster main event. [/i]

We’re gonna have to get some of these Early Classics cards in color sooner than later. So many amazing characters who have stood the test of time and absolutely deserve the color treatment.
Especially love seeing Dorado Sundown in action.
