In an alternate realm to ours, the year is 2087. The Galaxy is settling after the first intergalactic war, Omega & Morpheus had been running what was the first pro wrestling federation since the beginning of the century. POW was an underground fed that had developed and was garnering a following.
But then in a match between two young teams, one man was scarred by a brutal action. This action caught the attention of governing bodies who threatened to shut them down. But a mysterious financial backer stepped forth and saved the federation and helped make pro wrestling legal. Omega and Morpheus no longer had to hide their passion in life and resurrected the once great federation, LAW.
- so a little how I am going to be running this federation. The year is broken down into ten segments, each with four television tapings (SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN) and one supercard. The four television tapings divide the roster into four parts allowing everyone to have at least one match on these shows. The supercards have every champion fight and then the best feud from each division is featured. I like doing it this way as it gives everyone a share of the spotlight and if someone suffers a minor injury they dont really miss too much time since each show represents a week. - CHAMPIONS we have Galaxian, Galaxian Tag, Interplanetary and some day a Galaxian Womens. I am not a fan of vacating a title so you will rarely see that here. I also dont like "hotshotting titles" so I have installed the to be the man you have to beat the man rule. Each television taping features a champion. That champion usually has a segment/promo spot and then fights in the main event. If the champion is beaten by a contender than the next card the champion is featured on is a title match vs said opponent. - SUPERCARDS, six are normal shows with CIVIL WAR being my flagship show (it has always been my flagship show not sure why but one tradition I'm keeping in my second reboot here). There is still MEGATOURANAMENT which is a 32 man tournament winner gets a super bowl style ring that they can either keep or cash in and fight the World champion in a title match at Civil War. BRAWL AT THE BEACH features a 20 man battle royal. At the #5 and #10 supercard spots are two SUDDEN DEATH events as I am pushing the stables quite heavy in this reboot. The first being SUDDEN DEATH WAR GAMES which features survivior series style matches where the Survivors advance to a battle royal at the end of the night. The second is SUDDEN DEATH DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR which features a survivor series style TOURNAMENT!!
In conclusion, LAW CHAMPIONS is set in an alternate timeline but also in the future of my LAW LEGENDS fed. That fed has some minor historical changes (Johnny Valentine survives the 74 plane crash unscathed, Vincent Kennedy Colby runs that fed, there is no Hulk Hogan, etc) and may effect things in this fed but I will try and reference them. There are also some key changes to this timeline. Thantos I wanted a little more like Magneto than I have represented him before. He was injured at the hands of a young Aethran that I havent named yet (I'm considering to reveal it to be Thakur eventually but want it to be kind of in the background). The breaking of the code is Thantos wanting to go against the Aethrans especially for their part in the war but Warriors family wants the fed to stay the way it was. Lord Nexus is a member of the royal court as the Titans dont really exist in this reboot (I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE ROYAL COURT, lol). But I might go more in depth later today when I post the look ahead to NEW BEGINNINGS which should take place next Friday!

March 15, 2079: In an underground wrestling federation in the Pleiades system (POW), a young superstar named Cosmos suffers a horrific injury at the hands of an Aethran wrestler. The young man is taken to the hospital and survives the incident but will be forever scarred from the incident. Local authorities quickly stepped in and shut the federation down despite owners Morpheus & Omega's best efforts.
August 27, 2079: Morpheus & Omega after multiple meetings with UFSP committees were surprised by a random benefactor who not only funded their effort but used their connections to help legalize professional wrestling once again.
December 20, 2079: Media mogul and one of the richest men in the galaxy, Savvas Colby is revealed to be professional wrestling's benefactor as he officially announces the return of LAW on CBN's (Colby Broadcast Network) Tonight Show. The announcement is followed by Morpheus, Omega and Omega's son Star Warrior greeting fans in the studio. Omega proudly announces a new code that this federation will maintain. Him and his son pose with the code for reporters when a familiar face makes his way through the crowd. Star Warrior recognizes his former tag partner, Cosmos! Cosmos though now wants to be called Thantos, he refuses Star Warriors handshake and takes the code plaque from him and slams it on the ground. "I'll see you soon."
LAW NEW BEGINNINGS 2080 Live from the place that started it all one hundred years ago, LAW begins again in Madison Square Garden. How better to start the first night but with sixteen superstars battling it out in an impossible tournament for what was once the richest prize in all the game?
(I will play this event and the first segment of my 2080 next Friday the 20th. I am starting with the 2087 set with some guys from the classics sprinkled in so I could get to an even number to start out. My LAW reboot began with the Legends of Wrestling and I set the year in 1980. Those titles lineage are part of these title lineages as well as I like a long well built history. I haven't decided what I am doing with the aCe or CPC sets I have in my possession and may sprinkle them in here and there. The Galaxian title will be decided in the first card, the Interplanetary and Tag Team the following card. Feel free to submit predictions and I will post results as soon as I get them!)
BRACKET ONE Thantos, Proteus, Killer Queen & Pulsar
BRACKET TWO Lord Nexus, The Executioner, the Invincible Krakan and Massif
BRACKET THREE Star Warrior, Vanity, Comrade Terror and Commander Sam
BRACKET FOUR Morpheus, Pit Viper, Wolf and Omega
This will be a SWARM inspired IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT as I am looking to crown someone who is worthy of becoming the first ever LAW Galaxian Champion. It will be a round robin style tournament, ties will be broken first by head to head, if a three way tie there will be a triple threat match to determine the winner! At the end someone will walk out with what was once known as the richest prize in the game ...

So some notes in my previous history (an original and one other reboot attempt) - My original federation, I had played six years with the original set before I found out Tom made another edition LOL. The game was given to me as a birthday present in 1989 by my Grandma and I didnt find out there was another edition until 1996. Pit Viper won the original tournament before losing to Thantos at the third ever PPV (Pit Viper defeated Wolf). - In both feds I have done prior, Omega's family has had a rough go at it as far as the Galaxian title goes. Star Warrior only nabbed the title twice with both reigns being short. Alpha Force could never win the big one. - Speaking of those who could never win the big one ... Lord Nexus has also NEVER won the Galaxian title!! - Thantos dominated most of my early years in both prior feds, setting the bar high with long reigns early on. - Proteus gets a nod here having one of my more memorable title runs. He won a MEGATOURNAMENT where an injured Thantos had vacated the title. Proteus then had an epic feud with Vanity and Killer Queen, with both taking the title from him before dropping it back to him. In the end Thantos came back and put an end to this story.
BRACKET ONE Thantos, Omega, Killer Queen & the Mutant
BRACKET TWO Lord Nexus, The Executioner, the Invincible Krakan and Massif
BRACKET THREE Star Warrior, Vanity, Comrade Terror and Commander Sam
BRACKET FOUR Morpheus, Pit Viper, Wolf and Proteus
If I was predicting things based off prior experience ... BRACKET ONE - Thantos in a very close battle with Killer Queen BRACKET TWO - Lord Nexus, this IS a brutal bracket on second thought but I see the storyline of Nexus coming close then falling to continue here BRACKET THREE - Commander Sam narrowly defeating Comrade Terror here. Warrior has a knack of not showing up. BRACKET FOUR - Wolf, Pit Viper doesn't repeat the magic of my original fed.
CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET - Thantos over Lord Nexus to win it cause thats how things play out in my fed ROFL. Funny as I am a big Titans fan too ...
Friday I will play this card out and let you know the results, hoping to have time to play next couple of "house show" events. Thinking second event will crown the tag champs and womens champion (I am taking a combination of shimmer and extra ladies to populate this division. Expect to see some other shimmer names here as well as I am short on ladies here). Interplanetary I may wait till the PPV and decide via battle royal to see how major storylines are playing out!

Ya know what, one of the reasons I like posting on here and waiting a bit to play is I find that I agree on bracket strengths so we are gonna make a change.
Omega & Proteus are gonna change brackets, let's move Omega to bracket 4. Proteus to bracket 1 and let's get rid of Mutant and put Pulsar in there instead.

Great news, wife is out tonight so I can get a start on things to give everyone an early preview!!!
LAW NEW BEGINNINGS
A video package begins the supercard highlighting the history of the LAW World Heavyweight Championship and those who have held the title. It ends with “from the ashes, the phoenix rises. The Legends of Avalon Wrestling Federation has returned. Here where it all started, a new beginning. Who will outlast fifteen other superstars and join the list of those who held the richest prize in the galaxy” the voice narrates as the camera unveils the new LAW Galaxian Heavyweight Championship title belt.
The video cuts to Madison Square Garden and a jam packed crowd, stopping on a huge holovision screen. Below in the middle is an entryway, on either side what looks like very fancy jail cells. “HELLO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN” a man says walking out of the entry way. “My name is Jeremy Judge and welcome to LAW NEW BEGINNINGS!!” he proclaims to a huge ovation. The man makes his way over to the announce table where an older man is already seated. “Tonight we will crown a new champion for the first time in a long time, joining me is a staple of the business. The long time play by play announcer for POW who’s called more historic pro wrestling bouts than anyone else alive, Atticus Turney!” Judge announces taking a seat. The crowd begins a chant of Atticus! ATTICUS! ATTICUS! The elder statemen who’s been there since the beginning of POW along with Morpheus and Omega, stands up and acknowledges the fans.
“Jeremy my friend, I never thought I’d see the day but here we are! No longer an underground movement but in front of the entire galaxy with the lights on bright. Sixteen superstars who will attempt to win a war of attrition, sixteen superstars all seeking the biggest prize, now, in all of the Galaxy … the LAW Galaxian Heavyweight Championship Title!” Atticus declares.
Out first is the gamemaster himself, Thantos’ as his POW theme hits. He makes his way through the entry way to a mixed reception. He stops and holds up a finger. His old theme fades out and then a familiar theme hits (it’s the WCW version of the Horseman theme). Out from the entryway a young lady strolls out and meets Thantos. “Wait, WHAT!?!?! Atticus do you know who that is? That’s Tessa Blanchard, she’s the grand daughter of the late great Horseman Tully Blanchard!?!?!”
“My gosh, can it be Jeremy? The horseman are perhaps the most famed stable in all of professional wrestling. Somehow, like the L-A-W, they seem to have found a way to survive all this time! I can’t wait to see where this goes!” Atticus says.
“The commissioner had said that he had been able to sign eight young ladies, perhaps we will find out on the inaugural Saturday Night Shimmer (the LAW schedule has four holovision tapings and a supercard about every month, the holovision tapings feature three shows called Saturday Night SHOWDOWN and one show called Saturday Night SHIMMER)” Judge comments.
“Maybe you should shoot an instant message to your co-host for Shimmer Rebel Rook to see if she can get to the bottom of this” Atticus notes (Rebel Rook is a royal court member but non-wrestler, she is the color commentator for SHIMMER and is a Bobby Heenan pro-heel type character). A moment after he says this and Tessa has headed back to the back we see a familiar face, Morpheus leading out his newest student Pulsar. Thantos another former student of Morpheus seems to smirk at the irony that at some point he will meet the newest recruit. Morpheus leads Pulsar into one of the cells under the holovision screen and the referee locks them in. Out next is Killer Queen with Exo-King. King grabs Queen from heading to the ring and leads him into the other cell near the entryway. The crowd begins chanting for the Greek God that by elimination must have drawn the first match with Thantos.
IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT, BRACKET ONE: Thantos vs Proteus vs Killer Queen vs Pulsar
MATCH 01: Thantos & Proteus kicked off the show with an instant classic!! In a brutal match, Thantos somehow managed to pull out a win by putting Proteus to sleep with a sleeper hold. Both men looked rough after that encounter.
MATCH 02: Killer Queen was able to out wrestle the newcomer Pulsar, forcing him to submit with CHECKMATE!
MATCH 03: Killer Queen stayed in the ring to meet a bruised Proteus, after a vicious whip to the turnbuckle a flying knee drop and Killer Queen rolled up and beat Proteus MATCH 04: In a meeting between students of Morpheus, Thantos showed his experience and was able to lock the young Pulsar in MASTERLOCK forcing him to tap out.
MATCH 05: To Thantos' dismay, the next draw was him and Killer Queen. One match left in the bracket as the winner would clinch a victory here and a perfect score to kick things off! In another classic and brutal match, Queen bloodied Thantos and looked in control when the referee was knocked out! Queen locked in CHECKMATE and actually forced Thantos to tap out but there was no referee!! Hearing the tap out, Queen released the hold and celebrated what he thought was his big victory. Thantos though used the opportunity to attack Queen and then was able to lock in MASTERLOCK just as the referee came to. Queen tapped out and Thantos emerged the victory. WINNER: A bloody and beat up Thantos
IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT, BRACKET TWO: Lord Nexus vs The Executioner vs The Invincible Krakan vs Massif
The bracket began with Massif and Krakan taking their places in the cells in the entry way. Lord Nexus made his way out with Rebel Rook (no managers allowed at ringside and she was told to head back) in the first match against the Executioner.
MATCH 01: Lord Nexus dropped Executioner FOUR TIMES with TITAN DROP and eventually scored the pinfall
MATCH 02: Massif controlled the Invincible Krakan, hitting a vicious headbutt that knocked him down long enough to score the pin!
MATCH 03: The next match was announced and Massif made his way to the entry way as Lord Nexus smiled and saw a hurt Krakan trying to get to his feet. Lord Nexus had fun dismantling his old foe before eventually putting him away with a TITAN DROP and scoring the pinfall.
MATCH 04: Massif again with an impressive show of power, dominated the Executioner who couldn't kick out of a VOLCANIC DROP!
"Two brackets in and we have another battle of undefeateds, who's going to take this one home?" Judge proclaims
MATCH 05: Massif shocked the cocky Lord Nexus, reversing a power move and then hitting a VOLCANIC DROP out of nowhere WINNER: MASSIF
"Two brackets down Jeremy and two men have advanced to the finals. You have the scarred bitter young man Thantos who's looking to prove himself and win the top belt to prove to Omega and Star Warrior that they were holding him back. And you have the giant of a man, the former body builder, Massif who powered his way through his bracket" Atticus announces.
"Time for an intermission my friend, who's going to be joining them? Stay with us to find out!"

I'm 1-1. My guess is that head butt gave Krakan a concussion thus he was unable to advance.

Yeah Massif came out of nowhere, I think all his wins he out powered his opponent, got to level 3 offense and then VOLCANIC DROP and won. Thantos looks real rough, that bracket was nasty.
Also the first time this reboot that the referee was knocked out and someone actually won the match but the ref was out and then the opponent came back and won. Queen is a knocked out ref from being in a real good spot.
