Anyone else going to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this Thursday night?
I got my ticket to see this movie Thursday for 2 reasons:
1) I don't want my 10th graders spoiling the movie for me at work on Friday.
2) I fly to Europe next Saturday and I am not sure it will be playing there (Star Wars might be an exception but generally US movies have later release dates in Europe.)
It is interesting that the next episode of The Mandalorian is on Wednesday (instead of Friday as usual) the day before this move gets released so I will see Episode 7 of The Mandalorian before going to this movie.

Not as excited as I would have been before The Last Jedi a few years ago, but interested to see how J.J. finishes up the Saga. Probably not going on opening night or weekend, so I'll be victim to spoilers.
Thoroughly enjoying Mandalorian and looking forward to Clone Wars S7, Obi-Wan, and Cassian Andor in the future.

I'll see it at some point and I've managed to avoid spoilers even months down the line. I used to go to the second run theater but they decided to stop doing that so I'll probably have to hit a matinee when I do.

I'm hoping I get to see it on the 20th. I will be in Orlando next wek at Universal with the family and then go on a Disney Cruise Friday to Monday. I know they usually play first run movies on the ship, so I'm hopeful this will be one of the ones they are showing. Otherwise I'll have to wait until Christmas Eve to go. I'm excited as I am with any Star Wars movie. The Manadolorian has really invigorated my Star Wars excitement!

I thought about ditching my family and going to the movie Thursday night...but that would probably be frowned upon.

Got my ticket for high noon on Friday the 20th. I can't do Thursday night movies, I would fall asleep. Will probably take my youngest son on the 21st for his 10th birthday. His twin sister isn't a fan, unfortunately. I took her with to The Force Awakens and she hid under her seat for most of the movie! Between taking both of my sons and my own first viewing, I'll probably see it 2-4 times in the theater.

I'm planning on taking my sons on Friday the 20th right after school. Taking a risk with my first viewing being with them, but hopefully we don't have too many bathroom breaks!

I haven’t (and won’t) read spoilers, but I did read that those who did say it’s not good. Still going to see it, but my expectations are obviously not high.
