I just wanted to let everyone know that this will be my last post for awhile. My only internet access is the computers at the public library, and they're closing until at least the end of the month. That means posting results from my Rebel Wrestling LOW & Rebel Wrestling Network Indy Feds will be on hold indefinitely. Hopefully, I'll be back online sooner rather than later. Stay safe, Promoters! You stay safe too! Hopefully you'll have a whole bunch of results to post once this is all over.

I'm out until March 27th, though they are saying Texas school districts could shut down for the rest of the year. yeah, right now our district is closed until at least April 13th but we have also been told to prepare to possibly turn in our classroom keys for the year

Working retail here so we're staying open for the time being. also, retail outlets are getting stock back in, but at an understandably slower pace, so people need to not go crazy. Personally, I'd be thrilled if my company suspended Premier Customer Service for the time being. We'll help the customer, but just enough to get them out and away while not taking anyone's B.S.
Also, wife has surgery next week because she broke her foot a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately, they didn't postpone it, and this atmosphere of not going anyplace works for her. We just moved into a second story apartment, so she can at least go outside onto the porch without having to deal with people.
Everyone else stay safe and hopefully this blows over by the end of summer.

Yesterday an 88 year old man being treated at a hospital that is only a few miles from where I live and where I work as well tested positive for COVID-19. So yea this is getting to close for comfort.

Now this is getting stupid. We have closed up the whole country. Let's test everyone, lockup anyone who has it and let's get back to life

As a disabled veteran who doesn't work (hooray for Unemployability Status) who also doesn't drive this whole self-quarantine and social distancing thing has been my lifestyle for the last decade pretty much so my life isn't really too terribly affected aside from all the idiots' panic-buying way more than they need and making life harder for those of us who didn't have the opportunities to get to the store to get stuff before everyone bought 9,000 rolls of toilet paper and things.
I mean, I get the idea, to a point, of buying canned goods and non-perishables in bulk for this sort of thing but all that produce and stuff? You've only got so long to eat that stuff before it goes south and you have to dispose of it. I used to think that people, in general, couldn't be as stupid as we've been told but this whole mess is crippling my faith in humanity.
I'm kind of amused that some places have stated that they are going to flat-out refuse to accept returns of all the stuff bought in panic-sized bulk once it's all over and that some areas are trying to actually pass legislation to make people that try to do so have to pay hefty fines.
God, people are terrible.
Anyway, my roommate works for Home Depot (still considered essential) and their response has been really amazing. First, they cut store hours but not employee hours. So, if you work there once the store officially closes for the day they'll give you stuff to do so you can still get paid. On top of that, they're giving all part-timers 40 hours of paid sick leave (and full-timers 80) that will be good till the end of the year. Any unused hours will be bought back by the store for a bit of a bonus.
Just like a week and a half ago, I think my state had three confirmed cases.
Yesterday at this time it was up to 195 confirmed cases and 4 deaths.
This morning, they reported we're up to 223 or 224 confirmed cases, one of which is a Healthcare worker in my local hospital.
I've been playing a lot of games on my PC (I just bought a badass new desktop in February... great timing) and doing a lot of roleplaying games online via Discord and Roll20.net. I also have a giant backlog of miniatures that I need to paint. So I can safely say that I'll be okay in those respects as this goes on.
My concern is that, while I'm lucky enough that my disability pay/VA money is guaranteed to be direct-deposited into my account on the first of the month, having that money won't really matter when I can't buy things I need because of the panic-buying masses. I think that is going to possibly do more damage to many than the virus, really.
Also? If the government shuts down and the TReasury Dept. doesn't issue my monthly cash I'll be in a giant world of hurt.

Dept of Ed is pretty much shut down, hence why I'm unemployed.
