Can't grow your own food? What insanity is that? How can they do that? I can see saying you can't sell it if you were not an established business but not allowing you to grow for yourself is nuts. True story. Rumor is she is trying out to be Biden’s VP. www.rt.com/usa/485572-michigan-seeds-sale-ban-coronavirus/Big-box retailers such as Walmart were ordered to shutter entire sections of their stores – such as furniture, carpeting, plant nurseries, paint, and garden centers – beginning on April 10. Ughh... I can understand why they did it. Keeping people from lingering in the stores looking at projects. That's a very idiotic way of going about it tho.

The governor of Nevada this afternoon says that Nevada can open up starting Saturday under Phase 1 which includes things like 50% capacity limits for restaurants (but I won't be eating in a restaurant anytime soon- I do however get takeout several times a week to support some of the nearby businesses.)
The governor then gave a list of Nevada businesses that have to stay closed. Although I have lived in Nevada for 21 years, I still thought it was hilarious when the governor today at the online press conference said that the state brothels have to remain closed during Phase 1 lol.
I wonder if the libraries are open under Phase 1?

libraries are going to be interesting to reopen just because of the ability to spread the virus via books that are obviously not being wiped down every time someone uses them. Also if it's anything like libraries here, maintaining social distance especially for employees will be hard.

We will be in Phase 2 at the end of May unless new surges happen.

Governor Sisolak yesterday scheduled a press conference for Tuesday where he is expected to announce, barring a sudden surge in cases here over Memorial Day Weekend, the scheduled opening of more businesses including casinos. I know it is bad all over the world in terms of the economy, but in the United States it is especially bad here in Nevada since our economy is overly reliant on the hospitality and tourism industries so we will not get better until everyone else (especially southern California) gets better first. Nevada had the highest unemployment rate in the US in April at 28% (which is even higher than the national unemployment rate during the worst part of the Great Depression in 1933 which was 25%.)

Except the poker rooms won't be open, and that's pretty much all I care about, along with the free alcohol.

Tonight the governor for Nevada announced that starting Friday the gyms and bars that do not serve food can open. He also said that gatherings of up to 50 people will be permitted. FSW already announced tonight after the governor's press recording they will start running shows of up to 50 people.

Really great real news here in MI where our very brave Governor finally opened up travel to up north summer homes and actually tested the waters for us non essential types by enjoying her Memorial Day weekend unmasked without any social distancing at all. So brave! Her courageous husband also decided to test his fate for us terrified idiots by asking to get his boat in the water before everybody else. What a hero. nypost.com/2020/05/25/michigan-gov-gretchen-whitmer-in-hot-water-over-husbands-boat-request/
