Rob, I feel for you. In TX, Gov. Abbott is steadly opening up. At the end of the day, this is all about politics. The amount of lives ruined due to the shutdown is staggering.

No gym though so I finally was forced to buy a squat rack and olympic weights and convert the 3rd bay of my garage from a power wheels parking lot to a gym. 94% finished. Can't bench yet so haven't bought a bench but 4 months post surgery (ruptured triceps tendon in my right elbow) I'm dead lifting again.

The deadlift is a strange move, have the people say it's not worth it the other half say it's a must. I dont think I ever mastered it and I think doing it wrong combined with my gall bladder issues in 2017 derailed my health and fitness journey (I'm just now getting back into it and converted one of our two entry side rooms into a home gym).
Glad to see you able to do something. I've been doing P90X3 for the third time trying to work on my upper body strength. I want to get back in tough mudder or at least 5k shape.

Imo it's the best full body lift you can do. Don't forget squats, bench and overhead press. Those are the staples. My sister and bro in law do the Orange theory/tough mudder thing. Whatever works. I prefer solitude when training and don't need any extra motivation to do it.

Maryland, where I live is being pretty slow in the reopening, but that hardly matters as the Dept of Defense (the military) is moving even slower. So my access to any fitness center on base is going to be even slower in re-opening. we have an elliptical machine, and I have run a few times as the neighborhood has wide sidewalks to facilitate doing so (and a few biking trails as well, but haven't pulled the bike out yet)...but I really would like to get back in the gym to a workout in. If this goes much longer I could find myself in the market for a few dumbbells of various weights (need to start combing the yard sale sites...).

Today I volunteered to take part in the Phase 3 trial of the first COVID-19 vaccine produced in the United States.
They are taking 500 volunteers from the Las Vegas area. I signed up as soon as I heard about it today because I want to play a role in helping COVID-19 research advance.
The Clinical Research Center of Nevada said they are currently evaluating my application and said I might hear back as soon as tomorrow as whether or not I will be accepted as a volunteer in the Phase 3 trial for the 1st US vaccine for COVID-19.
Edit: After rereading the Email I received tonight after submitting my application, I think I hear back tomorrow/later today about not being a volunteer yet but just as to whether or not I make it to the next step where they bring me in for a prescreening to check out my current health status and health history before they then determine whether or not I can qualify as a volunteer in Phase 3 for the vaccine. I should know soon though as Phase 3 in the US does start this month.

I was informed today the CRCN (Clinical Research Center of Nevada) will start making the calls on Monday (I first thought it was today but I learned from calling the CRCN a few minutes ago apparently the form meant the next business day and that would be Monday since they started asking for volunteers on a Friday/yesterday) for those volunteers they select to take the next step which is the prescreening. I hope I make the cut as I would like to play a role in getting COVID-19 under control.
