Card 018: National Wrestling Legends Alliance @ Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré over George South. George took more time getting to the ring and preparing for action then he did competing from bell to bell as George put South’s shoulder to the mat for the win in just three moves with ROLLING HIP LOCKS.
Malia Hosaka & Princess Victoria stunned Glamour Girls. Victoria used her agility to get out of trouble against Leilani Kai and then again against Judy Martin. Hosaka connects with a flying double chop and then a FRANKENSTEINER ON Martin for the three count from Morgan Dollar in less than seven moves. Angelo Poffo pinned Diamond Dallas Page. After a pair of quick finishes these two provide the fans with a lengthy back and forth battle. Poffo broke out of the stalemate and connected with a NECKBREAKER for a big near fall. Page had the fans support and battled back for a pair of near falls after a discus lariat and a face-first piledriver. Page could not put find a way to put away Poffo who mounted an impressive comeback including several running lariats, running stomps and a knee life until a back elbow smash dazed Page long enough for the three count. Bobo Brazil defeated Mr. Hughes. Mr. Hughes gets into the face of Morgan Dollar and the official is not impressed. Hughes gets the upper hand with his size and connects with a big boot to the face for a near fall. Brazil catches a break and counters a backdrop with a piledriver. He cannot sustain any momentum. Hughes sends Brazil into the corner and charges in but Brazil moves away and Hughes hits the buckles hard. Brazil rolls up Hughes and Dollar is more than happy to make the three count. Fantastics beat Sheepherders by count-out. This was call back to a classic wild and bloody feud that picked up right where these two teams left off. The Sheepeherders were able to cut off Tommy Rogers for a long stretch and nearly had the win after a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER. Rogers stormed back and when bounced Luke Williams’s face off the ringside table. The Fantastics then dominated for several minutes. Both Tommy Rogers and Butch Miller ended up busted open during brawls on the floor and chair shots as the longer this one went the more violent it became. The Fantastics combined for a ROCKET LAUNCHER on Williams but a timely pin save kept the match going. The match ended with a brawl on the floor between Williams and Fulton. Williams backdropped Fulton into the ring just as the referee reached the ten count and the match was over. The fight was not however and both men brawled their way to the back. Barry Windham & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams downed Tully Blanchard & Masked Superstar w/J.J. Dillon . Morgan Dollar gets the fans on their feet sending J.J. Dillon to the back before the bell. This was a back and forth battle from the outset. Masked Superstar caught Williams with a SWINGING NECKBREAKER but could not get the three count. Blanchard & Superstar continued to press the attack but Williams and Windham showed some tag team skills despite their inexperience twice catching Blanchard with a double football tackle. Williams and Blanchard stepped up their intensity and took turns running each other into the ring post. Both men were quickly a bloody mess as the fight continued. Superstar saved his partner from an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE by Williams but a Doctor Bomb followed and gave Williams a three count. National Wrestling Legends Alliance Champion Johnny Valentine defeated Harley Race by disqualification. This one started off slow and deliberate after Morgan Dollar called for the bell. Valentine worked over his challenger with big chops to the chest before moving to the upper body and then lower body. Race came back with punches and knees. Valentine countered a backdrop with a piledriver. An ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER followed and then another but Race got his shoulder up both times. Valentine continued to press the attack and then went outside. Race was able to get the upper hand with a head butt. Valentine ended up across the table and Race dropped a headbutt into Valentine smashing him through the ringside table in the process. The fans were roaring but Morgan Dollar called for the bell and disqualified Race. Both men needed assistance regaining their feet. Night of Dreams Heavyweight Champion Lou Thesz regained against “Wild” Bull Curry by disqualification. Morgan Dollar stuck around for the main event. This was unique clash of styles and Thesz seized control with series of takedowns that caused Curry to hold his ear in pain. Curry was able to drag Thesz to the floor and things went south in hurry for Thesz as he went into the ring post. Thesz was busted open and Curry attacked with a SERIES OF PUNCHES. Thesz kicked out and Curry was back on the champion again with another SERIES OF PUNCHES. Thesz again kicked out. Thesz was tossed to the floor and Curry came out after him. Thesz responded to a charging Curry blocking Curry’s chair swing with one his own. Curry charged again but Thesz managed to catch him in an airplane spin and slammed Curry to the floor. Dollar had already called for the bell due to the dueling chairs and gave the match to Thesz via disqualification. Top Ten: 1. Lou Thesz, Night of Dreams Undisputed World’s Heavyweight Champion (1) 2. Johnny Valentine, National Wrestling Legends Alliance Champion (3) 3. Jackie Fargo, Night of Dreams Hardcore Champion (2) 4. “Wild” Bull Curry (4) 5. “Dr. Death” Steve Williams (5) 6. Harley Race (7) 7. Bobo Brazil (8) 8. Gorgeous George (9) 9. Barry Windham (-) 10. Cool to see Poffo win. I can only imagine Thesz' reaction to having to face Curry. Like the team of Windham and Williams.

Card 019: North Eastern Wrestling Legends @ Memorial Auditorium, Unica, NY
Quebecers defeated BWO. Stevie Richards joined his fellow BWO members Blue Meanie & Super Nova during the introductions and the fans ate it up. The action after the bell went back and forth much to the surprise of many at ringside as the BWO showed they belonged in the ring with a team the quality of duo from Quebec. Jacques Rougeau found himself in some hot water at ringside and was nearly counted out after an attack from Nova on the floor. Later, Pierre Carl Oullett was the on the receiving end of a MEANIESUALT and then a BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL but managed to survive both attempts at victory. The Quebecers came back cutting off Nova from his corner and executing plenty of double teaming. TOWER OF QUEBEC would have ended it but a save from Meanie kept Nova in the match just long enough for Rougeau to lock on a Scorpion Death Lock and get the submission. Justin Credible destroyed Stevie Richards. Morgan Dollar ensures that both Blue Meanie & Super Nova had left the ringside area before he called for the bell. It makes no difference as this was a complete beat down from start to finish. Richards did show some toughness kicking out after not one but two THAT’S INCREDIBLE but a SINGAPORE CANE ends it. After the match, Credible gets on the mic and calls Al Snow getting a shot at the Hardcore Title a joke and that he is the only thing hardcore in NEWL. The Valiant Brothers bested Too Cool. The former Night of Dreams World Tag Team Champions were in a foul mood tonight and took out their frustrations on Brian Christopher who was separated from Scott Taylor the entire match. “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant worked over Christopher in and out of the ring before busting him open with a foreign object blast. Taylor made the save after a DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE from the Valiants and after a knee life from Jimmy Valiant. The Valiants then combined for a SUPER ELBOW and that was it. Susan Green pinned Beverly Shade. It was back at Card 11 where Green took it to Shade as part of a tag team encounter only to come out with the losers end of the purse. Morgan Dollar had strict instructions for both competitors. This match was closely contested and intense from the initial lock up to the pin. Both ladies countered to near perfection back and forth with no one being able to get the upper hand. Green finally gets the upper hand and builds to a TEXAS BULLDOG for a two count. The battle again back and forth and Green makes a second run up to another TEXAS BULLDOG but Shade kicks out. Shade runs Green shoulder first into the ring post but cannot really get anything going. Green lands a cross body block and an elbow drop before hitting her finisher TEXAS BULLDOG for the third time to claim the win. Tom Prichard over “Macho Man” Randy Savage by disqualification. The story in this one was Savage dominating most of the action in the ring but just never being able to put Prichard away. Savage picked up near falls after a running knee to the back and a knee drop but Prichard found away to stay alive. Even back to back piledrivers did not keep Prichard down long enough for Savage to land his finisher. They ended up on the floor and Savage let his frustrations get the best of him as he smashed Prichard with a chair across the back and was disqualified. The fans were not impressed and Prichard was barely able to escape ringside with a big victory as Savage chased the referee from the ring. Nikolai Volkoff survived “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both competitors after Volkoff sings for the fans. With Iron Sheik on the shelf courtesy of Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Ivan Koloff departing the territory, Volkoff is on his own tonight. This one was wild and controversial. Smith was in control of the early action but Volkoff manage to score with a throat drop across the ropes and took over. They went to the floor several times. Both men taste the ringside table. Dr. Mike Lano moved in a for a closeup of Smith on the floor and his flashbulb exploded in to the face of Smith. It was mayhem and Volkoff attempted a pin in the aftermath but Smith got his shoulder up at the last second. Volkoff unleashed a vicious assault on a practically blind Bulldog but Smith drew on the fans support and came back. The action went back and forth. Smith connected with a RUNNING POWER SLAM and the fans thought it was over but Volkoff managed to get a shoulder up at the last second. Volkoff caught Smith on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. The finish came when Volkoff caught Smith with a pair of double thrusts and then executed his BACKBREAKER DROP for the three count.
Night of Dreams Hardcore Champion Jackie Fargo bested Al Snow w/Head. Snow showed his diversity in this one as he controlled much of the action after the bout got underway with a “head” chant. The fans were not disappointed as Head made an appearance in the match but did not lead Snow to victory. Snow introduced a chair early on into the ring and made use of the weapon several times to wear out the champion. During a brawl on the floor, he attempted to use a turnbuckle wrench but Fargo took the weapon away and smashed Snow with it busting him open. A bloodied Snow still managed to come back and connected with the SNOW PLOW for a huge near fall that the fans thought would end it. The finish came when Fargo caught Snow on the top of the corner and slammed him onto a chair, the same one that Snow brought into the ring, which set up an ATOMIC DROP and the three count. North East Wrestling Legends Tag Team Champions James Gang over Greg Valentine & Larry Zbyszko by disqualification. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both teams before the bell. The James Gang have the fans fired up and quickly cut off Zbyszko from his corner. A standing dropkick sends Zbyszko to the floor and Kip James follows. Zbyszko cuts him off with a low kick and then head slams James’s face off the ring bell. Dollar has seen enough and makes the disqualification call. B.G. James is quick to check on his partner who is counting his teeth but the James Gang leave the arena with the gold still around their waists. Top Ten: 1. “Macho Man” Randy Savage 2. Jerry Lynn, North East Wrestling Legends Champion 3. Buddy Rogers 4. 2 Cold Scorpio 5. Nikolai Volkoff 6. “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith 7. Al Snow 8. Hacksaw Jim Duggan 9. Tom Prichard 10. Steve Corino

Lots of awesome talent to keep both eyes on... That was a big upset victory for Prichard over the Macho Man on the last show... And it's always fun seeing my Quebecers in action... Great stuff, my friend... As always!

Card 020: American Wrestling Legends Association @ St. Paul Civic Center, St. Paul, Minnesota
Flying Redheads defeated Texas Hangman by count-out. This was a back and forth barn burner to kick off the show. Both sides used plenty of double teaming to dish out the punishment but neither team could get their opponents into a position that would lead to victory. Red Bastien and Killer took it to the floor and then brawled on the ring apron where Killer back dropped Bastien back into the ring just as the referee reached the ten count. Both teams carry on the fight after the bell and security comes out for the pull apart. King Kong Bundy & Midnight Express w/Rock Riddle bested Jimmy Snuka & Badland Express by disqualification. Rock Riddle and his men get into the face of Morgan Dollar and the official looks scared to death. The Badland Express and Midnight Express makes several quick defensive tags to keep things going back and forth before Bundy gets into the match and punishes Jannetty. Randy Rose and Dennis Condrey makes several quick tags in and out of the match keeping the pressure on Jannetty but he gets the hot tag to “Jumping” Jim Brunzell. The match evens out and we get Bundy and Snuka brawling on the floor. Snuka shows his strength and slams Bundy through the ringside table. Morgan Dollar calls for the disqualification. The Badland Express send the Midnight Express packing with dropkicks. The Express and Riddle do their best to pick up a dazed Bundy and assist him to the back. Midred Burke submitted Melina. Bruke was able to withstand a lengthy onslaught from Melina before storming back grounding Melina with several crooked head scissors and then trapping her foe in an ALLIGATOR CLUTCH from comeback win. The Vachons beat Big Van Vader & Stan Hansen. Morgan Dollar has strict instructions for both teams and the fans are ready for another disqualification finish. The action goes back and forth until Vader gets into the ring and dominates. A VADER BOMB would have ended it against Butcher Vachon but Mad Dog Vachon saves his brother. Vader gives away to Hansen who immediately connects with a power bomb. Mad Dog Vachon gets back into the match and things even out until Hansen crushes him with a LARIAT. Vachon kicks out and gets out of tombstone piledriver and then plants Hansen with a PILEDRIVER of his own for the three count from Morgan Dollar. The count appears quick and Hansen is furious after the match. Vader and Hansen tear apart ringside before they head to the back. There is a prolonged intermission while the ring crew puts ringside back together
Stars and Stripes over Alexis Smirnoff & Boris Zhukov. Zhukov overpowered Marcus Alexander Bagwell early on but Bagwell countered a backdrop with a piledriver which allowed a tag to Del Wilkes. Wilkes connected with a deathjump smash and then back to back atomic drops. Zhukov kicked out after the first one and after the second Smirnoff was cut off and Wilkes covered Zhukov for the three count. The fans definitely thought this one would have been longer.
Terry Gordy beat Bruiser Brody by disqualification. Ringside was electric as Brody swung his chain around clearing the ring before the bell. The fans were braced for impact as the referee called for the bell and the punches flew. Gordy pressed the early attack and scored a near fall with a BAMM BAMM SLAM. Later he attempted a submission with an ORIENTAL SPIKE. The referee was knocked down midway through the match (8 moves) and Brody began his comeback will no official around. The official recovered and at one point, Gordy countered a clothesline attempt with one of his own and both men crashed to mat. Brody was up first and landed a JUMPING KNEE DROP but could not get the pin. The action went back and forth from that point until the action spilled to the floor. Brody grabbed a chunk of the broken ringside table from earlier in the night from under the ring and smashed Gordy with it. The referee had no choice but to call for the bell and disqualify Brody who seemed to care less as he hussed and then stormed the ring again sending referee to the back at top speed. The Crusher thrashed American Wrestling Legends Association champion The Destroyer by count-out. Morgan Dollar had strict instruction for both wrestlers. This was as shocker. The Destroyer send his challenger into the ropes but Crusher countered a backdrop on the rebound with a piledriver. CRUSHER NELSON followed but Destroyer made the ropes. CRUSHER BOLO only received a two count from Morgan Dollar. Crusher again locked in a CRUSHER NELSON and Destroyer made the ropes a second time. Destroyer escaped to the floor but Crusher came outside and ran Destroyer into the ring post. Destroyer regained his feet at the count of eight, took one look at the referee, grabbed his belt and left ringside to huge heat. Morgan Dollar finished his ten count
Road Warriors w/Paul Ellering over Night of Dreams World Tag Tag Champions Rock 'n' Roll Express by disqualification. This was a rematch from Night of Dreams when the Express dominated the Warriors to claim the Night of Dreams Unified Tag Team Champion. Morgan Dollar had strict instructions for both teams before the bell. The Warriors came for gold and beat the living heck out of the champions from the from the outset with their unrelenting power attack. Ricky Morton was the initial target and later Robert Gibson took a vicious beating. Gibson manage to kick out after a POWER SLAM from Animal and later Gibson had to be saved after a DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Twice Hawk nearly submitted Morton with an over the shoulder backbreaker. Morton ended up in a brawl with Animal on the floor. Animal hoisted up Morton to launch him into the ring post but Morton dropped down and shoved Animal forward into the post head first. Animal went down in a heap and Morgan Dollar called for the disqualification. Top Ten 1. The Crusher 2. The Destroyer, AWLA Champion 3. King Kong Bundy 4. Terry Gordy 5. Bruiser Brody 6. Del Wilkes 7. Alexis Smirnoff 8. Big Van Vader 9. Stan Hansen 10. Mad Dog Vachon

Morgan Dollar certainly earned his money there with technical decisions helping champions retain their respective titles... Gotta expect that Crusher and the Roadies will be lobbying for rematches in the near future... Fun show!
