Yeah. The instant factions are fun.
Mikes new “nameless” trio (I’ve been calling Megatoid) has been fun for me. They had a great Trios win over the Oppressor & Antillan Awakening. Which unfortunately for them will put Samuel vs Oppressor in singles and the other 4 in a tag match. They might need a lot of luck again.
Between Kronos and Centra, there have been some good 6-Man teams lately. Loved “the 3” when I saw them and glad to have more teams like the Overmen, Brothers In Arms, etc..
Cant wait to see these guys!

So. The word prequel was used. Am I looking into things too much or are we going to get some sort of look at who Murdok's master is?

I was reading it as they were both of their master, even if Murdok didn't acknowledge it out loud.
