Thank you for the comments. Lawlor's mood was not any better after tonight's card given that Cabana another one from him...
Card 09: Prime Pro Wrestling’s Answering the Opportunity Knock Night Two, Polish Hall, Oshawa, ON
David Marquez welcomes us to Oshawa and runs down tonight’s card including the Prime Pro Wrestling champion Colt Cabana in a non-title three way against top contenders “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson & “Filthy” Tom Lawlor and the Prime Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion Mia Yim against two of her top challengers in a non-title three way as well featuring Veda Scott and Kelly Klein. Plus, new Prime Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions will be determined as the Work Horsemen will take on Osirian Portal. In addition, just signed this afternoon, “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb will battle Matt Tremont in a Oshawa Street Fight!
The Colony def. The Pillars by disqualification The Colony manage to cut off Brett Banks from the outset and it was a one-sided beat down. Banks kicked out after a TKO from Solider Ant and after a BEACH BREAK from Fire Ant. Tyson Dux saved Banks after a second BEACH BREAK and Banks managed to escape to the floor. Banks manages to catch Ant with a modified Blue Thunder Driver sending Ant through a table. Neither man gets up and the referee calls for the disqualification.
Uhaa Nation def. Killer Kross Nation controlled the early action of this powerhouse battle including a two count after a kneeling tombstone. Kross came back including a wicked looking Burning Lariat but he could not get his opponent in a position to go for the win before Nation mounted a comeback of his own and ended it with a standing moonsault. N-Words def. Monster Mafia An early TWISTING TOMBSTONE from “Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander to B Ryce nearly ended it but the save by Acid Jaz kicked off a wild brawl with Jaz clearing the ring. Although both sides were able to make tags, the balance of the action belonged to Jaz & B Ryce from that point and ended with a frog splash by Jaz to Alexander for the three count.
Green Ant def. “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels There was significant intensity between these two from the outset. They both set an incredible pace before Ant settled things down going for the win with both his CHIKARA SPECIAL GREEN and GOOD LUCK CLOVERLEAF. Daniels made the ropes both times to keep the action going. The pace looked to be picking up again but Ant caught Daniels in a single leg grapevine and transitioned to a GOOD LUCK CLOVERLEAF for the victory. Kelly Klein def. Prime Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion Mia Yim & Veda Scott in a non-title 3-Way Match. The first half of the show ended with a thriller. The action was non stop from bell to bell with all three men having chances to shine. Yim looked to have Scott beat after a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER but Klein made the save to keep the match going. Twice, Yim was shoved off the top of the corner by Klein during the match. Klein looked to have Yim submitted with END OF THE MATCH but Scott broke things up to keep the battle raging. The finish came with Scott down on the floor allowing Klein to lock in END OF THE MATCH once again on Yim for the victory. “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb def. Matt Tremont in an Oshawa Street Fight. These two almost immediately went into the crowd and brawled all around the hall. Tremont attempted to put Cobb through a table but a backdrop reversal sent Tremont through the table instead. Cobb then turned up his attack back in the ring with a series of suplexes and a TOUR OF THE ISLANDS. Tremont showed his toughness kicking out each time. Cobb would be not denied tonight as the carried on with his attack until finally a second TOUR OF THE ISLANDS put Tremont down for the pin. Donovan Dijak def. Timothy Thatcher After a brief back and forth, Thatcher went to work picking apart of the upper body of Dijak with Dijak reaching the ropes to escape a cross armbreaker, SAKA OTOSHI and a FIJIWARA ARMBAR. Dijak was able to get the best of a brawl on the floor and powered his way back into the match from that point picking up several near falls. Thatcher attempted to slow the match but Dijak avoided another submission hold until he crushed Thatcher with an impressive looking FEAST YOUR EYES for the win. Chelsea Green def. Su Yung Green looked very impressive early on in what many considered to the be the “bathroom” match of the night including hitting UNPRETTIER for a big near fall. Yung came back after using blood red mist during a battle at ringside but was unable to put Green away even after a PANIC SWTICH. Green came back with her speed picking a near fall after a curb stomp. The finish came when Green connected with back to back UNPRETTIER finishers to get the three count. Prime Pro Wrestling Champion Colt Cabana def. “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson & “Filthy” Tom Lawlor in a 3-Way Match. The story in the early going was the epic beating Danielson took as he was nearly pinned on four separate occasions, twice by each of his opponents. Cabana for the most part avoiding being on defensive end for almost the entire match instead picking his spots to attack and largely otherwise keeping out of the way. The momentum was continuously changing until Lawlor went on a run against Danielson leading to a Cleveland Steamer ’18 but Cabana broke up the cover and then caught Danielson with a Flying Hip Attack for the win. Work Horsemen def. Osirian Portal to win the Prime Pro Wrestling Tag Team Titles The speed of the Portal gave them an early advantage leading to an ORISIAN SACREMENT on Anthony Henry but Henry kicked out at the last second and was able to get the tag a few moments later. The momentum had switched and Ophidian was cut off from his corner. Ophidian survived back to back DOUBLE STOMP MOONSAULTS before “The New Age Enforcer” James Drake hit a single MOONSAULT that crushed Ophidian and ended the contest. David Marquez presents Drake & Henry with the titles after the match.
Back to back nights of action and we have two new champions in Prime Pro Wrestling. We are not finished yet this month as the No Limits Fight Club will makes it’s debut on July 25th at The Opera House in Toronto with a huge six man tag team match signed for the main event as Kenny Omega will team with the Young Bucks to face the combination of ReDRagon & Mike Bennett. Card 10: No Limit Fight Cub: Welcome to the Fight Club, The Opera House, Toronto, ON
“Bad Dude” Tito Escondido def. Uhaa Nation The action was back and forth in this one early on but Escondido took control during a brawl on the floor. Nation was nearly counted out after getting run into the ring post. Nation scored with a superplex counter but Escondido recovered quickly and took the win with a deathjump cross body block.
Ryan Taylor def. “Speedball” Mike Bailey This one ended too quickly for many of the fans when Taylor countered a charge to the corner with running lariat and then put Bailey away with a GTS. Incoherence def. BLK Out Both teams showed off their tag skills from the outset with quick tags and double teaming. BLK Jeez and Ruckus managed to cut off Hallowicked for a long stretch but could not put the masked competitor away even after a DREAM SEQUENCE and BLK JESUS WALKS. Jeez went into the ring post and the momentum changed. Twice Hallowicked connected with a YAKUZA KICK on Jeez but could not get the win. Frightmare added a KNEECOLEPSY but still there was not finish. BLK Out used another DREAM SEQUENCE but a pin save kept the match going. The finish finally came when Frightmare hot tagged into the match and took out Jeez with KNEECOLEPSY for the win while the pin save was blocked. Josh Briggs def. Raymond Rowe Briggs just dominated this one. Rowe survived a M6 but Briggs kept coming and finished it with a Go 2 Hell. Rowe has no offensive the entire match. Shane Strickland def. “The Villain” Marty Scurll Scurll was superior from the initial lock out and forced the action to the floor. Scurll unleashed everything on Strickland but could not get the victory even after two CROSSFACE CHICKENWING submission holds and a CATTLE MUTULATION. The referee went down during a deathjump attempt and Strickland was able to take advantage. It was Strickland’s turn to dominate the action including a pair of JML DRIVERS and a SWERVE STOMP but Scurll provided hard to defeat. Strickland kept coming including a 450 splash and then a third JWL DRIVER for the three count. Sami Callihan def. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor This was a hard-hitting contest from the opening bell to the final three count that had the fans rocking. Callihan went for an early submission with a STRETCH MUFFLER but Lawlor made the ropes and the action continued. Lawlor used a solid ground attack including a pair of REAR NAKED CHOKES for near submission. They continued to exchange strikes and suplexes. Callihan landed a CUERNO KILLER but could only get a two count. Finally, Callihan locked in another STRETCH MUFFLER and Lawlor blacked out. Both men were down in a heap as Callihan was announced the winner. Colt Cabana def. Donovan Dijak Dijak used his size to push around Cabana early on but Cabana turned the tables running Dijak into the ring post during a brawl on the floor and then scored with an awesome looking cobra clutch suplex. A COLT.45 gave Cabana the victory. “The Cleaner” Kenny Omega & Young Bucks def. ReDRagon & Michael Bennett w/Maria The fans were electric before the bell and nearly came unglued when Bennett came with a second of pinning Omega in the opening minute after a PILEDRIVER. Both sides were able to get tags and Kyle O’Reilly caught Matt Jackson in ARMAGEDON and then was joined by Bobby Fish for a backbreaker/flying knee drop. The Bucks were able to turn the momentum and cut off Fish from his partners. MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK and INDYTAKER did not get the wins with Fish being saved by O’Reilly both times. Omega tagged in and a ONE WINGED ANGEL lead to the three count.

Card 11: Prime Pro Wrestling - Summer Assault Night One, St. Anthony's Banquet Hall, Ottawa
David Marquez starts the night in the ring and hypes tonight’s card including the Street Fight between Christopher Daniels and Green Ant and the best of three falls main event for the Prime Pro Wrestling Title between Colt Cabana and Tom Lawlor. He then welcomes the newest addition to the Prime Pro Wrestling team, Bobby Cruise who introduces the first match. The Brothers of Funstruction def. N-Words. The B of F picked up the victory over their fellow Freelance Wrestling alumni but not without some controversy. The referee went down midway though the match during which time B Ryce unleashed two CURB STOMPS to Ruffo The Clown before being joined by Acid Jaz for a KING COBRA CUTTER but Yabo the Clown made the save just as the official recovered. Acid Jaz followed with SLICED CHOCOLATE but Yabo ended up back in the ring and while the referee escorted Ryce from the ring, Yabo dropped an elbow on Jaz and reversed the pin for the three count. Killer Kross def. “Mr. Athletic” Jeff Cobb by disqualification. Both competitors came into the match needing to make a statement and move up the rankings. It was a stalemate before the action went to the floor. Kross grabbed a chair but Cobb took it from him and smashed Kross with the weapon. The referee called for the bell and that was it. Matt Tremont def. PB Smooth Tremont struggled with the size of his opponent until he used a headbutt with a light tube as an equalizer. Smooth was stunned and momentarily blinded. Tremont unleashed three SITOUT POWERBOMBS but Smooth finds a way to kick out each time but he had nothing left to kick out after a deathjump smash. Penelope Ford def. Shayna Baszler, Faye Jackson & Heidi Lovelace The action was back and forth early on. Baszler focused in on Ford but Ford was able to toss Baszler to the floor and as Jackson moved in on Ford she caught her with a BACK FLIP STUNNER and took the win (Snake Eyes!)
“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels def. Green Ant in an Ottawa Street Fight They don’t wait for Cruise to finish his introductions before they start to exchange blows. The pace was quick. Daniels was able to counter a tombstone piledriver. Last Rites connected and lead to an ANGEL’S WINGS for the victory which left the fans disappointed. The action never left the ring.
Colony def. The Piliars Banks and Fire Ant trade moves but Banks makes a key mistake by staying in the ring too long and it costs his team the win. Fire Ant catches him with a BEACH BREAK. Banks kicks out but Soldier Ant hits both a saluting headbutt and a spinning elbow strike to set up TKO for the win while Fire Ant blocked Tyson Dux from making the save. TJ Perkins def. Ace Austin Austin looked impressive in his debut early on even catching Perkins with THE FOLD but could not get the three count before the experience of TJP took over. Perkins could not get the submission with a FIGURE FOUR DEATHLOCK but kept pressing the attack including a Detonation Kick before locking in another FIGURE FOUR DEATHLOCK for the submission. Twisted Sisters def. Fire & Ice The combination of Holidead & Thunder Rosa put on clinic and cut off Chelsea Green from her partner from the opening bell to the three count. Twice Britt Baker pin saves were blocked but Green managed to kick out four times before Rosa finally caught her with LA ROSA for the victory. “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson def. Donovan Dijak by disqualification This was a classic big man v. little man battle that was controlled in the opening minutes by Dijak’s size before Danielson went to work with strikes, dives to the floor and suplexes. Dijak was countered at every turn until the action returned to the floor where Dijak caught a diving Danielson and then slammed him through the ringside table. The fans were unglued at the finish as medical staff attended to the fallen Dragon after he was announced the winner. Prime Pro Wrestling Champion Colt Cabana def. “Filthy” Tom Lawlor in best of three falls Match 2:0 Todd Sinclair is announced as the referee for the main event. Cabana gets off to quick start and dominates the first fall completely shutting down Lawlor and getting the win with a COLT .45. Lawlor competed with desperation as the second fall got underway and he came close to evening things up with Tomigove. Cabana continued to just hang on and wait for his opening and it came as he connected with a Flying Hip Attack and it was enough to retain the title in two straight falls. We are back in action tomorrow in Hamilton where David Marquez has promised something extra for the fans in addition to the already booked Steel Cage showdown between Green Ant and Christopher Daniels plus a pair of title matches with Prime Women's Champion Mia Yim taking on Veda Scott and Horsemen defending against the Colony.

TJ Perkins, Matt Tremont and Tyson Dux in a 4-Way Match. There was some wild back and forth action in this one with Perkins seemingly to be everyone’s target at various points in the contest. Ant kicked out and Henry connected with a second one that ended the match while James Drake cut off Solider Ant from making the save. Veda Scott def. Prime Pro Wrestling Women’s Champion Mia Yim to win the title. They went back and forth at the bell with Scott going move for move with the champion. Yim seized control with a series of suplexes that rattled the ring and the challenger. Scott was able to catch a break on the floor and dragged Yim outside and rammed her face first into the ring post. Yim was out of her feet and Scott capitalized with a PLEX EXPRESS to capture the title in a shocking comeback. Christopher Daniels def. Green Ant in a Cage Match. The did not even wait for Bobby Cruise to finish the introductions before the forearms started to fly. Ant dominated the action using the cage wall several times to render Daniels a bloody mess. Twice he had the CHIKARA SPEICAL GREEN in place but Ant could get the submission. Daniels made the ropes to escape a GOOD LUCK CLOVERLEAF and also used a rope break to survive a single leg grapevine. Things were all Ant when Daniels caught Ant with a tackle after being rebounded off the ropes. Last Rites set up ANGEL’S WINGS and Daniels picked up the comeback win. Great showing by Soldier Ant in the Battle Royal to open the show... There were lots of big names competing in that one and he managed to outlast them all... Wonder how he'll make out when he faces Colt, who's been hanging tough since he won the strap... Fun times!

Mia Yim comes out and tells everyone she is leaving London with the belt tonight.
Leva Bates def. Athena, Brittney Blake & Dust in a 4 -Way Match It was back and forth in this one from the bell but the match was not that long as Bates was able to hit the PEPSI PLUNGE for a big near fall on Blake before finishing it with I Am Batman while Athena & Dust traded blows on the floor. Tessa Blanchard def. Shazza McKenzie This was a super competitive contest. Blanchard had the early advantage and connected with a DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER but cannot get the three count. McKenzie battled back starting with slamming Blanchard off the top of the corner to the mat. McKenzie hit back to back SHAZZASTIC STUNNERS but Blanchard kicked out both times. From that point, the match could have gone either way. Blanchard caught McKenzie with a hammerlock DDT and then followed moments later with a second DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER for the hard fought win. Matthews began to slowly get back into the match and avoided a charge into the corner and then rolled up a stunned Wolf for the thee count.
Hudson Envy & Shayna Baszler def. Fire & Ice by count-out. Both sides make frequent tags to keep the momentum going back and forth but Chelsea Green gets caught in the ring for a prolonged period. Baszler gets a KNEE BAR but Green makes the ropes. Green ends up in a brawl with Hudson on the floor and a chop block from Baszler from behind takes her out and she cannot regain the ring before the ten count.
Twisted Sisters def. Team Be Jealous This was an awesome encounter. Allysin Kay and Jessicka Havok took control after some early back and forth action focusing their attack on Holidead. The referee recovers in time for the hot tag and the Sisters are back in the match. The finish comes when Thunder Rosa and Hollidead combine for a FACE PLANT & DOUBLE STOMP on Havok. Kay is in for the save but Rosa despatches her and then hits a LA ROSA for the win. Deonna Purrazzo def. Heidi Lovelace This was back and forth from the opening bell with neither competitor able to find the advantage. They went to the floor and Purrazzo got the best of the exchange. Back inside, Purrazzo immediately locked in a FUJIWARA ARM BAR and took the win.
Kelly Klein battled to a double disqualification with Penelope Ford There was great intensity between the two competitors who are both in consideration for a title shot and both ladies left everything in the ring much to the delight of the ring side fans. Klein nearly ended it with END OF THE MATCH early on but from that point it was back and forth and in and out of the ring several times. The match ended at ringside when both competitors refused to stop brawling and the referee decided to throw the match out. Mia Yim def. Trillium Champion Veda Scott to win the Title Scott absolutely dominated the former champion from the open bell. Yim takes a beating in and out of the ring. Yim kicks out after a PLEX EXPRESS and later after Q.E.D. before the finish comes. Scott comes off the top with a crossbody but Yim turns it into a perfect power slam and gets the three count in her only offensive move of the match!
