WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 52 *Kristoff COR Solar Hawk (c) when the "Boy from Mecatoid" dropkicked Solar Hawk through the ropes, where he landed awkwardly on the concrete floor, and was unable to make it back in before the count (**1/2). Kristoff seemed quite pleased with himself, but unfortunately for him, while he gets the win by count-out, Solar Hawk will retain the AAW World Heavyweight Championship. *MAIN EVENT: Bruno Sammartino (c) vs. Big John Studd for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. Big John Studd DQ Bruno Sammartino when Sammartino was disqualified for excessive brawling outside of the ring (**). Well, this battle didn't exactly materialize fans, as our champion lost his temper due to Studd's less-than-honorable tactics in the beginning of the contest. The fans were fine with Bruno retaliating, as in their eyes, the champ was simply fighting fire with fire! Studd didn't seem to want much more of the WWA champ, and headed for the back as soon as the referee called for the bout to end. It is clear that the WWA champion does NOT put up with shenanigans from his challengers fans! (Solar Hawk & Bruno Sammartino pick up 1 career title defense each for their respective career title records). NEXT CARD: Well, it wasn't a night of 5-star classics Joint Promotions fans, but it was entertaining nevertheless....the action always is in Joint Promotions! On our next card, we'll see tag-team action from the WWA, as the champion Midnight Express defend their titles against heated rival The Rock & Roll Express! And, in our Main Event, GWF World Heavyweight Champion Godsend defends his title against Switchblade. We'll see you there fans!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 53 *The Midnight Express (c) b. The Rock & Roll Express with a Flapjack to retain their WWA World Tag-Team Championships (**). The match was not up to their usual standards, as these two teams have burned down the house before, but as we've said, they can't all be 5-star classics! Midnights are having a decent little run with the belts this time around, and were assisted with some timely interference by their manager Jim Cornette once again! MAIN EVENT: Godsend (c) vs. Switchblade for the GWF Heavyweight Championship. Godsend (c) b. Switchblade with Kingdom Come to retain the GWF World Heavyweight Title, grounding the high-flying Switchblade and neutralizing his offense (**3/4). Decent start to the bout, but once Godsend seized control, Switchblad wasn't really able to mount much offensive fire-power. Of course, a well-placed knee to Switchblade's lower extremities didn't hurt Godsend's cause...boo! Boo! Will this man stoop to anything to retain his title? Certainly seems so fans... (Midnight Express and Godsend pick up 1 career title defense each for their respective career records). NEXT CARD: We're going to be following Solar Hawk as he defends his AAW World Heavyweight Title around the territories of the AAW. We'll view his most recent defenses against GQ Stratus, Gordon G. Smack, and Y2K. And, in our Main Event, we'll see Bruno Sammartino defend his WWA crown against Adrian Adonis! Don'tcha Dare Miss It!

Yessir....an all-time great in my neck of the woods! Thanks for following along Rob! I really admire you guys who effortlessly mix and match playing cards in the COTG universe. I have zero anxiety mixing boots/black & white and colored cards in LOW, but for some undiagnosed reason I can’t do it w COTG. Not even with my own guys like Strong. They always just end up lost in the shuffle for me. I wish I could change! Until then, I envy feds like yours. While I have a bootleg fed, I do mix the talent quite freely between that and my GWF. Always have, well, since I started collecting bootlegs that is! I try to use bootlegs that (mostly) conform to the character creation rules, and/or aren't too stacked, but I'll modify stats for characters I really like and just want to use. It's a lot of fun, and I've had some classic battles and feuds over the years. With that said, I still like having a COTG bootleg fed, and an official COTG fed, so I do split 'em up to a degree. But, any reimagined GWF character (such as colorized versions of original black and whites, or alternate versions) I do put in my bootleg fed, and all of the Kronos sets are in my bootleg fed too. It's a lot of fun! And sometime soon, Strong's gonna get a run with the AAW World Heavyweight Title, as a Bruno-type....It's gonna happen! Thanks for reading along sir!

So....I'm kinda liking this. I've run traditional-style feds for years, and for whatever reason, as this stage of the game, I've come to prefer this method, which I'll again for lack of a better description call "title tour/replay method". It's probably because of several reasons, such as: -I'm a mark for Title Matches, specifically World Title matches. Don't know why, but if a title belt is on the line, color me interested! It's probably because I'm also a bit of a belt mark, so I love envisioning all these great titles being at stake. -I've got a bizmillion (its a real number...honest! wrestlers now, just because I've been around for a while with this wonderful hobby of ours, and I like to use 'em. Now with that said, I certainly have my faves, who will get used much more. But, I like to show each card at least a little love for being in my collection! -I come from a table-top gaming tradition where replaying a season is engrained in me. So, replaying a series of title challenges/defenses for a champ just feels right. Or for that matter, setting up a "career mode" for a wrestler, and seeing how he will do over the years (and if I'm lucky, I'll have many more of those...years, that is! ). -It allows me to go with what I'm feeling at the moment. If I'm in a classics-era kind of mood with GWF, then I'll run some title tours with classics characters. Likewise, if I'm in a 1980's mood in Legends, then I'll do the same for 80's wrestlers. No having to restructure my fed 'cause I'm not feeling it....I just go with what I'm interested in at the moment. And right now, I'm interested in Solar Hawk as World Champ in the AAW, Bruno in the WWA, and Godsend in the GWF! Now, with all that said, there's still a method to my madness. I still have 3 feds, with intact histories that go back over 20 years for my GWF, 18-19 years for my WWA (legends fed), and about 15 years for my AAW (bootleg fed). Feuds have been in place for years, turns still happen, and all the chicanery that comes along with wrestling is all there. And when the mood strikes, and I want to run full cards of matches, I'll do it (same for undercard feuds, or secondary titles). I've just come to prefer picking one World champ per fed, and seeing how he does....when his reign feels "over" to me, then I pick another World Champ. On and on it goes. As always, and as we all know, "its up to you Promoter!", so whatever makes you happy with this game, then you should do that. Maybe someday I'll return to a more traditional set-up...who knows? There so many of you who do this so very well, and you have my admiration...again, whatever helps you get the most out of this great game, well, you should do it! If you've read this, well then, thanks for indulging me while I muse a little bit on my fed. And thanks to anyone who continues to follow along!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 54 *GQ Stratus b. Solar Hawk (c) in an AAW World Heavyweight Championship match with an elbow drop (**1/2). Well, Hawk was not up to his best in this one, that's for sure! This rivalry is about .500 in terms of wins and losses between these two, and there have been some classics, but alas, tonight was not one of them. Stratus did resort to a few underhanded tactics to start the match, and unfortunately, Hawk never recovered. *Gordon G. Smack b. Solar Hawk with a Figure Four in an AAW World Heavyweight Championship match (**1/2). Whew....Hawk's recent trip around the AAW territories has not been good AAW fans, as this one was a bit of a stunner. Smack was ecstatic with the win, and Hawk was left muttering to himself....didn't see this one coming!! *Y2K DQ Solar Hawk in an AAW World Heavyweight Championship bout (***3/4). Finally, a better showing for Hawk, and he had his working boots on tonight! This was one of the better matches between these two, and its a shame there wasn't a clean finish, as the bout was shaping into a classic, the high-flying Y2K vs. the strongman Solar Hawk. Styles make fights, and this match of opposites was a lot of fun! (Tough road trip for Solar Hawk, technically going 0-3, but with the DQ against Y2K, he picks up one AAW World Title defense for his career record...and, it did set up rematch possibilities for all 3!) MAIN EVENT: Bruno Sammartino(c) vs. Adrian Adonis for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. In a fun match, Bruno Sammartino successfully defended his WWA World Heavyweight Title against Adrian Adonis, putting Adonis away with an Italian Backbreaker to win the bout (***1/2). Very good match, with Adonis proving to be one plucky contender! Adonis had Sammartino in "Goodnight Irene" on several occassions, but just couldn't put the champion away....take heart Golden Boy, many have tried against Bruno, and many have failed. Good bout, Adonis shows he belongs in the ring with anybody! (GQ Stratus, Bruno Sammartino, and Solar Hawk pick up 1 career title defense each for their respective World Title career title records. Gordon G. Smack picks up his first AAW International Heavyweight Title defense, which is the secondary title of the AAW). NEXT CARD: Joint Promotions fans, the action just keeps getting hotter, as we've 2 great contests on the docket for our next card. Up first, Solar Hawk goes for revenge against "the Boy from Mecatoid" Kristoff, as he defends the AAW World Heavyweight Title in a rematch. And, in our Main Event, Bruno Sammartino defends his WWA World Heavyweight crown against Classy Freddie Blassie! Don'tcha Dare Miss it!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 55 *Solar Hawk (c) b. Kristoff with a Solar Eclipse to remain the AAW World Heavyweight Champion in a rematch between these 2 combatants (***). Good bout, Kristoff put up a good fight against our champion, but Hawk's power just proved to be too much, as he exerted his physical superiority in a big way the last 1/4 of the bout. Hawk gains a measure of revenge, and Kristoff is left to lick his wounds! MAIN EVENT: Bruno Sammartino (c) vs. Classy Freddie Blassie for the WWA World Heavyweight Championship. Bruno Sammartino (c) DQ Classy Freddie Blassie when Blassie refused to stop brawling outside of the ring, leading to the disqualification. No love lost between these 2, as they have met several times over the years (using various Bruno bootlegs on my part!). Tensions are always high between them, and the two went to Fist City very early on. Just a lot of heat when these two lock up! NEXT CARD: We've got a lot of great rip-roaring action in store for JP fans on our next jammed-packed edition of WOJP! Featured action from around JP includes: *Max Shield defends his AAW Omicron Title against Tsuyoi the Decimator. *Manny Fernandez takes on Wild Bull Curry for the WWA's St. Louis Title. *Akuma the Ninja and Tsuyoi the Decimator (pulling double duty!) defend their AAW Tag-Titles against Ares & Pride. *And, in our Main Event, Godsend defends his GWF World Heavyweight Title against Aegis! Don'tcha Dare Miss It!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 56 Joint Promotions fans, we've got a plethora of great wrestling action for you this evening, featuring bouts from all across Joint Promotions! Let's get straight to the results: *Max Shield (c) b. Tsuyoi The Decimator with the Omicron Force to retain his Omicron Championship (AAW) in a fun albeit short bout (**1/4). Tsuyoi got his licks in early, demonstrating his martial arts background, but once our champion grabbed control, that was all she wrote! Shield continues his winning ways as of late! *Akuma the Ninja & Tsuyoi the Decimator (busy fella that Tsuyoi!) (c) b. Ares & Pride to retain the AAW World Tag-Team Championship (**). Expected a bit more of a fight from Ares & Pride in this one JP fans, but they couldn't muster a whole lot of offense, and Akuma and Tsuyoi rolled. *Manny Fernandez DQ Wild Bull Curry (c), allowing Curry to retain the WWA St. Louis Heavyweight crown (**1/2). It seems that unless its Tony Atlas (whom Curry seems to own in my world), the result is almost always a DQ, no matter who Curry wrestles! Tonight was no different, and Curry busted Fernandez wide open. Fun match between two tough guys. MAIN EVENT: Godsend (c) vs. Aegis for the GWF World Heavyweight Championship. Godsend (c) DQ Aegis in a very good match, allowing Godsend to retain the GWF World Heavyweight Title (***3/4). There's a fair amount of history between these two rivals, who never seem to disappoint whenever they lock up. Match had it all...great technical wrestling mixed in with some wild brawling, which one might expect from bitter foes. Match ended when Aegis was disqualified for excessive brawling outside of the ring, meaning these two will most assuredly go at it again someday! (Max Shield, Akuma & Tsuyoi, Wild Bull Curry, and Godsend all pick up 1 career defense for their respective career title records). Next Card: We're going to follow Godsend in more GWF action on our next card JP fans, as we watch him defend his title against Justice first, and then in our Main Event, against Scion Nexus! Don'tcha Dare Miss It!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 57 *Godsend(c) b. Justice with Hell's Threshold to remain the GWF World Heavyweight Champion (**3/4). Match looked like it might develop for a bit, as Justice got a near-fall very early in this one! Godsend used his devious bag of tricks, however, to put Justice away in the end. MAIN EVENT: Godsend(c) vs. Scion Nexus for the GWF World Heavyweight Championship. Godsend (c) b. Scion Nexus with a Dextral Choke to retain the GWF World Heavyweight Championship (**1/2). Match was somewhat of a repeat of the Justice-Godsend bout, in that Nexus got in some strong offense at the beginning, and Godsend got in a low blow to stem the tide....and that was all she wrote! The dastardly Godsend will stop at nothing to maintain his hold on the GWF gold! (Godsend picks up 2 career title defenses for his career title record). NEXT CARD: JP fans, we've got a stellar double-header for you on our very next card of WOJP! Godsend will again put his GWF crown on the line against Big Superstar (long-time feuding opponent), and, in our Main Event, WWA World Champion Bruno Sammartino defends his title against "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd! Don'tcha dare miss it!
