Joint Promotions Presents THE JOINT PROMOTIONS JAMBOREE (formerly known as the Jamboree of Wrestling) (A few more notes before the results. The Jamboree has served as my mid-season Supercard for a while, i.e., a Summer Slam of a sort. It can blow off some 1st half feuds, while continuing others. While my "regular" cards are highlights of matches around the country, from the member organizations of Joint Promotions, the Supercards take place in the Home Arena for Joint Promotions, namely one Legends Hall in St. Louis, MO (fictional arena, but a wrestling paradise in my mind at least!).
Also, my playing got waaaaaaayyyy ahead of my posting, so my champs are different than what were shown in my World Title Tour Threads. Current World Champs are Godsend in the GWF, Jack Brisco in the WWA, and Mike Melesky's creation Granite in my AAW. Finally, this is Season 30 for Joint Promotions. And now, without further adieu, here are the results from the Jamboree!)*Akuma The Ninja b. Rob Van Dam with a foreign object (***). Good feud, between the AAW's Akuma and the WWA's RVD. This time, using nefarious methods, Akuma emerges victorious (last match was a DQ)! *WWA World Tag-Team Championship: Fantastics b. The Sheepherders with the Rocket Launcher to capture the WWA World Tag-Team Titles (***). Good feud, this time the Fantastics emerge the winners and gain some revenge (and the belts)! *Infinity b. Infinity Plex with the Infinity Superplex (***). Good heat between these rivals! *Lord Nexus DQ The Draconian Sheik (**1/2). These two have been feuding for a while now, with Nexus usually wearing the Crimson Mask during these bouts....and he did again in this one! *Buzz Sawyer DQ Jim Londos (***). Another great feud, totally unexpected, emanating from a burn-down-the-house match these 2 had a couple of months ago! So far, Sawyer continues to frustrate The Golden Greek at every turn. Sawyer holds the only clean win in this feud as well. *GWF Interplanetary Title: Vyper b. Lord Nexus Jr. with the Vyper's Sideshow to capture the Interplanetary Title (***). Another rematch between these 2, as the first 2 bouts ended in DQ's. This time, Vyper not only wins the battle, but gains the gold! Boo! Boo! TRIPLE MAIN EVENT (ALL 3 JOINT PROMOTIONS' WORLD TITLES AT STAKE):*AAW World Heavyweight Title: Granite (4th Defense) b. Ric Flaireon with Bedrock to retain the AAW World Heavyweight Title (****). Very good bout, 3rd in a series of heated matches, with Granite winning the feud....for now! *WWA World Heavyweight Title: Jack Brisco (6th Defense) b. Buddy Rogers with the Figure Four Leglock to retain the WWA World Heavyweight Title in an OUTSTANDING MATCH OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE (*****!!). Just a great bout, from the word go. Rogers has been feuding with both Brisco's, and Jack gained revenge against Rogers, who had beaten brother Gerry up badly in a previous bout. Bobby Shayne was at ringside with Rogers, and attempted to interfere on Rogers' behalf, but was foiled in the attempt! Shayne may now get a World Title shot as Brisco wouldn't mind getting his hands on him! *GWF World Heavyweight Title: Godsend (9th Defense) b. Max Shield with Kingdom Come to remain GWF World Heavyweight Champion (**1/2). Shield had a fast and furious opening few minutes, but once the champ seized control of the bout, that was all she wrote tonight! Godsend's on yet another (for him) solid title reign! Joint Promotions' fans, that concludes our annual Jamboree! Thanks so much for your patronage, and we'll look forward to some of the following to come in our 2nd half of our season: *Godsend has a rematch with Spike on the horizon for the GWF Title! *Jack Brisco looks to take on Bobby Shayne soon for the WWA World Title! *Granite will take on Marcus Colby to defend his AAW World Title as well, as Colby has been demanding a title shot! These and other great matches and feuds await all JP fans in the 2nd half of Season 30!

Alright Joint Promotions Fans, here's another rip-roaring card of action, brought to you by the Denmark Board of Tourism. WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: SEASON 30, CARD 18 *Bob Armstrong & DragonMaster DQ Abdullah the Butcher and The Sheik (***). Fun...make that very fun....tag-team bout, which featured a great pairing of the WWA's Armstrong and the GWF's DragonMaster. Disintegrated into a brawl, with DragonMaster being busted open, but hey, would you expect anything less? Look for more to come from this budding rivalry! *AAW International Championship: Wolf (5th Defense) b. Turbo with the Savage Face Claw (**1/4). Second time these two have locked horns over the AAW's secondary singles title (and don't tell Wolf that....he thinks its as big as the World strap!). This time its Wolf emerging victorious over the strongman, and looking good in the effort! *"The Showstoppa" Luther Diggs b. Larry Zbyszko with an Elbow Drop (**1/2). Fun little AAW-WWA interpromotional battle, with Diggs defending the AAW's honor. Diggs can make a case for being the GOAT in the AAW. *Barry Windham b. The Spoiler with The Lariat (***3/4). Good bout, Windham looked tough over the last 1/3rd of this contest. *WWA St. Louis Heavyweight Championship: Jumping Jim Brunzell (3rd Title Defense) battled to a time limit Draw with Fritz Von Goering (***3/4). Don't sleep on Fritz fans, as he's a tough out. Brunzell is also proving to be a tough St. Louis champion himself! MAIN EVENT:**GWF World Tag-Team Championship: Aegis & Omega b. The Invincible Krakan & Saber with the Final Salvo to re-capture the GWF World Tag-Team Titles (**3/4). The fans were loving the ever-popular team of Aegis & Omega regaining the tag-team titles, especially from the dastardly duo of Krakan & Saber. Aegis & Omega have proven to be a formidable team in the past, as well as a beloved one. Tonight they were not to be denied, surviving 2 Falling Face Slams early to prevail. Up Next... Be sure to tune in to the next action-packed edition of "World of Joint Promotions", headlined by a WWA World Title showdown between champ Jack Brisco and Bobby Shayne. Other featured bouts include: Abdullah the Butcher vs. Bob Armstrong Max Shield takes on Gino Hernandez in a GWF-WWA showdown Star Warrior takes on K.O. Keller in GWF action All this and more on the next "World of Joint Promotions"! Don'tcha Dare Miss It!

Alright Joint Promotions Fans, here's another rip-roaring card of action, brought to you by the Denmark Board of Tourism. I knew it! I knew you were on the take from Denmark!! Great action today, stu ! I like the odd (?) pairing of Armstrong & DragonMaster. Better luck next time to Turbo! I would imagine Aegis & Omega would be a pretty tough team.

So....a couple of weeks ago, my good friend Chad posted a thread entitled something to the effect of "Have Fun with Your Fed". The link is here: Having Fun with YOUR FedThat inspired me. You see, the original gist of this thread of mine was to post the career projects I was running for individual wrestlers. Only, the discussion board didn't exactly lend itself to doing that in the way I'd originally hoped, i.e. simply updating a wrestler's one post's worth of matches when I ran matches for them. So, I went back to a more traditional title tour format, and holding more traditional wrestling cards. Only....any longer, that's not what I like best doing. What I've come to enjoy the most with this rich universe we have is to run career projects for individual wrestlers and teams, and over time compare results, a la how I've played many tabletop sports games over the years (in which I play one team for a specific season, etc.). It finally dawned on me how to do this simply, and post in a way that's coherent. While I keep more robust career records on my own, I will start posting my results "replay style" again in batches. For example, I may run a series of 4 World Title defenses by Omega, and I'll post these results. When I post them, I'll also include notes on Omega's current career results, so each post is self-contained, and shows how a wrestler or team is performing. Y'all will get the gist as I move forward. I'll still run these in "seasons", so will do a season's worth of replays, and then will still hold at least 2 Super Cards per season that are traditional card formats, that will contain the best feud matches in that season. Again, you'll get the gist as I move ahead. I've found that using this style still develops rich feuds, still lends itself to all the twists and turns (pun intended!) of pro wrestling, and is just the most fun I've ever had with the game in that I can compare and contrast wrestler records over time. For more on this format, which I've entitled "Replay Style", please click on this link: Replay Style. I may tinker with this some more, in that if I run things this style largely for the rest of my playing days, I may want to increase the amount of title defenses that equal one complete World Title reign. More to come on that... And with no further adieu, let's get started.

SEASON 30 (continued): WRESTLER REPLAYSSTAR WARRIOR: AAW WORLD TITLE CAREER PROJECT *Star Warrior DQ Prodigy when Prodigy blasted Star Warrior with a chair outside of the ring (**1/2). Boo! Boo! Match was just starting to cook a bit when Prodigy misbehaved. Nice back and forth while it lasted, these 2 will lock horns again. While my AAW has largely been my bootleg fed, any COTG character which has been reimagined, to include all of the Kronos cards, makes its home in the AAW. *Star Warrior DQ Vyper (**1/4). Warrior seems to be getting under the heels' skin as of late, as they are taking it to him in rule-breaking ways. I really enjoy this color version of Vyper, and he may become a semi-regular go-to as a title contender! *Star Warrior b. Olympia with the Cosmic Big Bang in a good bout (***). Well, 1 out of 3 ain't bad in terms of a clean finish! As Star Warrior has had a decent history with Janus, I liked this match-up immediately. Olympia proved a tough out, but once Warrior is in position for the Big Bang, its oftentimes curtains! That'll do it for this batch of Star Warrior title defenses! He picks up 3 World Title defenses, and his career record in the AAW now stands at the following: 3 Title Defenses, 1 World Title Reign.

JACK BRISCO: WWA WORLD TITLE CAREER PROJECT *Jack Brisco b. Dick the Bruiser with a backbreaker (**1/4). Bruiser wanted to make this a brawl early, but our champion would have none of that, and scientific wrestling prevailed! *David Schultz DQ Jack Brisco (**). This match was really just starting to percolate when Schultz took our champion outside of the ring. Brisco gamely fought fire with fire, and unfortunately, its always the 2nd guy who gets caught in a fight! *Jack Brisco b. Ric Flair with a Rolling Reverse (**1/2). This has become a "Feud of the Year Candidate", as the heat is palpable between these 2. This match, however, didn't live up to their earlier bouts, but allows Brisco to even the score from their last battle! *Jack Brisco b. Godsend with a Figure Four Leglock (**1/2). Yes, that's right....Godsend!! If you don't enjoy COTG-LOW battles, you've come to the wrong place folks! This is another feud that's emerging in Season 30, as the two have had 2 strong battles previously. Brisco had his A-game in this contest, however, putting the immortal one away relatively easily. Watch for more between these 2, as well as Brisco-Flair, as both are strong feuds! BRISCO CAREER WWA WORLD TITLE RECORD: 20 Title Defenses, 2 Title Reigns.

So, I've been inspired to tweak this ever so slightly, while staying true to my "replay" style record-keeping. KB has come up with a very unique style of promoting the Legends of Wrestling world, and I'm going to utilize elements of that and apply them here, in my Joint Promotions alliance. For those of you who haven't seen KB's fed, it can be found here. Great, great idea, and a fun read...check it out! So, what I'm going to do is a) still utilize my methodology of record-keeping, while b) utilizing Kevin's style of running the matches he wants to see, when he wants to see them, and incorporating a wide range of wrestlers across my 3 feds. Also, I'm adding a 4th tier of replay-style record keeping, in that I'm adding a "Territory Championships" section to each of the 3 Joint Promotions' feds, GWF, WWA, and AAW respectively. I'm not going to keep each individual territory's records for each individual territory title....I'll just record how many defenses (5, to make up one title reign) and how many total territory titles a wrestler wins, in each respective fed. It'll start to make sense as I post results. Finally, I'm going to run more cards than I normally would in this season of Joint Promotions, just to get this off the ground and achieve some critical mass. So, let's pick up with Card 42, in Season 30, of "World of Joint Promotions"! WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: SEASON 30, CARD 42 *Interplanetary Title: Killer Queen DQ Wolf (c)(***3/4). Very good bout, with Queen resorting to nefarious tactics at times, leading to Wolf's temper flaring and the subsequent DQ. These 2 have locked horns several times, and it doesn't take much to rekindle another feud! *WWA World Heavyweight Title: Bruno Sammartino (c) b. George Steel with an Italian Backbreaker to retain the title (**). Steele got in some pretty stiff shots to start the match, but once Bruno seized control, he didn't relinquish it, and had Steel dazed and confused (more than usual!). MAIN EVENT: Godsend (c) vs. Omega for the GWF World Heavyweight Title. Godsend b. Omega with Kingdom Come to retain the GWF World Heavyweight Title in another good bout between these bitter rivals (***). Long-standing feud, which never disappoints! Godsend has been menacing the Omega family for (quite literally) years in my neck of the universe! And he does it again this evening, putting Omega away with his patented finisher! (Wolf, Bruno, and Godsend pick up title defenses in their respective career records). NEXT CARD: Fans, we've got a HUGE show in store for all of you on our next edition of World of Joint Promotions! It will be GWF vs. WWA as the Omega Family takes on the Fabulous Freebirds! Bruno Sammartino defends the WWA World Heavyweight Title against Don Muraco. And, in our Main Event, Sonny Owens defends the AAW World Heavyweight Title against The Champ in a rematch....their previous match was a 5-star classic!

WORLD OF JOINT PROMOTIONS: CARD 43 *The Fabulous Freebirds b. The Omega Family (Bloodline, Alpha Force, & Star Warrior) with a Brainbuster and cover to win a hotly contested WWA-GWF battle (***1/2). Great action back and forth, with the Freebirds proving just a little too tough for the Omega Family tonight. Of particular note was a battle between Michael Hayes and Alpha Force in the middle of the match, which featured some great brawling action. This is the 2nd time these teams have met, and it won't be the last! *WWA World Heavyweight Championship: Bruno Sammartino (c) b. Don Muraco with the Italian Backbreaker in a great match (****3/4). The Magnificent One had his chances in this one...boy, did he have his chances! The champion showed the heart of a lion, however, and just refused to go down, rallying again and again and again, until Muraco just appeared too darn tired to continue. Sammartino just outlasted him tonight, and showed why he is such a great champion! MAIN EVENT: Sonny Owens (c) vs. The Champ for the AAW World Heavyweight Championship. Sonny Owens DQ The Champ in another solid match, albeit not one to measure up to their earlier bout! A lot of heat between these two right from the start, with the fans firmly in the corner of the champion. This match featured a little bit of everything: Chain wrestling, daring maneuvers, and brawling. Just a great rivalry developing between these elite competitors; we shall see this match up again! (Bruno Sammartino and Sonny Owens pick up title defenses in their respective career records). NEXT CARD: The action just keeps getting hotter fans, as we're going into the vault for a GWF twin-bill. The Semi-Main Event will feature Vyper & Splatter defending their GWF World Tag-Team Titles against the great Twin Blood! At the top of the bill we have Endgame defending the GWF World Heavyweight Championship against Monolith! The action should be spectacular!

I like how your doing this, It did give me another idea for a fed to do starting with the 2087 fed that should be alot of fun. Just trying to figure out how many cards I should do to complete a year of the promotion. Great job, keep up the good work.
