Glory opens with news about Summer Slam, which is only two weeks away. The No. 1 contenders for the World TV and the United States titles will be determined next week in a pair of battle royals!

Tonight, a five-woman Gauntlet match will decide who will challenge Madusa Miceli for the NWA Womens title. One of the big title matches at Summer Slam will see the world tag team champions the Road Warriors in a rematch with the Kangaroos. Also, NWA World Jr. champion Jushin Thunder Liger will be there to defend against Gorgeous George. World Six-Man tag team champions the Russians will put those belts on the line against Team Canada.

WOMENS TITLE NO. 1 CONTENDER GAUNTLET MATCH

MISTY BLUE SIMMS def. SHERRI MARTEL

Last month, Martel won a battle royal to get a rematch for the title with Madusa. She couldn't pull it off again as Misty Blue pinned her after the Superfly Leap.

REGGIE BENNETT def. MISTY BLUE SIMMS

An absolutely awesome battle between these two top superstars. A huge amount of near falls as neither could finish off the other. Bennett survived and stayed alive with a side slam.

REGGIE BENNETT def. ALEXIS LAREE

The diminutive Laree almost came out on top, taking advantage of Bennett's fatigue. She attacked with everything she had, but Bennett was able to get the pin with a cross body.

PRINCESS VICTORIA def. REGGIE BENNETT

The Princess benefited from being last, and Bennett was very much worn down. Victoria won with a flying cross body to get the shot at the womens world title. Victoria was the first ever champion.

BRUTUS BEEFCAKE def. GEORGE SOUTH

Beefcake was able to finish off South with the flying knee smash.

KOKO B. WARE Won By Forfeit

Danny Hodge was nowhere to be found for his match and Koko received the win.

ARMSTRONGS def. HEAVENLY BODIES

A real good back and forth tag match with a lot of nice wrestling action. It was Bob Armstrong able to pin Prichard following an atomic drop.

RED BASTIEN def. GORGEOUS GEORGE

Bastien bounced back with a really big win here after losing two shots at the TV title and being knocked out of the Jr. title tournament in the first round. George never knew what hit him as Bastien was on fire and won with a flying headscissors.

KANGAROOS def. S.D. JONES/VIRGIL

Red Berry's team didn't have to work too hard this time and beat Virgil with the Boomerang. Hawk and Animal stormed out from the back and brawled with the 'Roos around the ringside area.

DESTROYER def. JIM LONDOS

A tremendous wrestling clinic by both men. The Destroyer was able to repeatedly work on the leg of Londos and then won with the Figure Four.

GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT def. DICK HUTTON

For awhile it looked like Hutton might pull off another big-time upset after he beat Buddy Rogers last week. Hackenschmidt held on though and eventually put Hutton up in the bear hug.

10-MATCH TRIAL SERIES #8
BUDDY ROGERS def. FRANK GOTCH

Gotch didn't have it at all, and Rogers made a serious statement about his being back and ready to make another run at the world title. Rogers wore Gotch out and beat him with the figure four.

DON MURACO def. ED LEWIS

A real nice win for the Magnificent One, planting Lewis with the Hawiian Hammer. Members of Albano's Army decided to run down and work over the Strangler, until Curt Hennig raced to the ring.

GREG VALENTINE def. CURT HENNIG

The Hammer picks up a huge non-title win over the U.S. champ. Hennig did land the Perfect Plex, but Valentine was tough and won with the Figure Four.

VALIANTS def. HARLEY RACE/LARRY HENNIG

Another non-title bout, the U.S. tag champs put away Race and Hennig. It was a good back and forth match, and Jimmy finished off the Axe with the sleeper.

ALEXIS LAREE def. REGGIE BENNETT and MISTY BLUE SIMMS

An all-out fight between these three ladies. Great back and forth action. Laree came away the surprise winner with a tornado DDT on Bennett.

HEAVENLY BODIES def. SAMOAN ISLAND TRIBE

The Sensational Sherri Martel led her new tag team to the ring and said the wrestling world is on notice as she will be expanding her group os Sherri's Hunks very soon. The Bodies wasted no time as Lane hit the super kick and then the Rocket Launcher on Samu.

VALIANT BROTHERS def. KANGAROOS

A big win for the U.S. tag team champions over the No. 1 contenders for the world tag team titles. The Valiants won after the top rope elbow drop on Heffernan. Lou Albano and Red Berry mixed it up afterwards, then the Road Warriors ran out and all six men fought to the back.

HARLEY RACE def. BUDDY ROGERS

A special attraction challenge match between two former world champions. This one was an old-school fight that saw these two legends go toe to toe for nearly 30 minutes. It could have gone either way but Race took the fall after catching Rogers with a neckbreaker. The two shook hands after the match. Rogers asked for a rematch at Summer Slam and Race said definitely.

Interview footage from last week aired of Mil Mascaras saying he feels Jimmy Snuka should be the one to challenge him for the world heavyweight title at Summer Slam.

Hutton opened the night's wrestling action by controlling most of the contest. South got in a few flurries of offense, but Hutton won with the Abdominal Stretch.

S.D. JONES/VIRGIL def. SAMOAN ISLAND TRIBE

An excellent tag team contest, but Lou Albano was noticeably absent from ringside. This one went back and forth before S.D. took the pin with a headbutt on Samu.

WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
ANTONINO ROCCA/ILIO DIPAOLO/PEPPER GOMEZ def. THE RUSSIANS (ch) by D.Q.

George Hackenschmidt, Ivan Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff opened SummerSlam by defending the six-man tag team titles in a one-fall match. DiPaolo took a beating from Koloff's chain and the bearhug. Rocca turned things around with his offense against Volkoff. Gomez rolled up Hackenschmidt for a nearfall. Rocca twice used the backbreaker on Hackenschmidt, bringing the other Russians into the ring. The tide turned and Gomez found himself in a lot of trouble. He escaped to tag DiPaolo. The Russians charged in again after the Airplane Spin. This time the bell rang, giving the challengers the win by disqualification. During the post-match brawl, Playboy Buddy Rose ran in to jump Rocca from behind, as these two will face off tomorrow in Puerto Rico for the WWC Universal heavyweight title.

LARRY HENNIG def. DR. TOM PRICHARD

Prichard strutted to the ring with his new manager the Sensational Sherri Martel. He got off to a fast start against the Axe, but couldn't put him down after twice using a foreign object. Hennig moved out of the way as Prichard came off the top rope. He loaded up and blasted him with the Axe for the pin as Sherri was unable to make it into the ring in time.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
KOKO B. WARE def. BRAD ARMSTRONG and RED BASTIEN

Red Bastien started off on fire, but soon it was all three battling back and forth for the advantage. Koko sent Red off the top turnbuckle to the floor, and nailed Brad with the Ghostbuster to score the pin.

DESTROYER def. ED LEWIS

A top notch wrestling classic between these two. First it was the Destroyer in charge, then Lewis. The Destroyer kept the pressure on and was able to wear Lewis out to win with the Figure Four.

NWA WOMENS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
MADUSA MICELI (ch) def. PRINCESS VICTORIA

The champ really dominated the action, but Victoria wouldn't go away. Madusa was having a hard time putting an end to the match. Madusa whethered all the comebacks and took the win after coming off the top rope.

FRANK GOTCH def. JIM LONDOS

An awesome wrestling display. Gotch really stayed on top of Londos nearly the entire bout. Both men had chances to claim victory, but Gotch used the Toe Hold and then a rolling kneebar to finish off Londos.

NWA WORLD TV TITLE
BOB ARMSTRONG def. STAN LANE (ch) by C.O.

The challenger really took the fight to the champ and came so close to taking the title. He locked the sleeper in tight, and Sherri Martel had to help keep the match going for Lane. The champ got in some shots and with Sherri's help almost secured the win. Twice they brawled on the floor, and the second time Armstrong laid out Lane. It looked like Lane could have possibly gotten back in the ring in time, but he was counted out, and left with the belt.

HANDICAP MATCH
BRUTUS BEEFCAKE def. GREG VALENTINE/LOU ALBANO

Beefcake and the Hammer have been feuding ever since Valentine and Alabano dumped him, and gave the U.S. tag team titles to the Valiants by leaving him alone in the ring. This was Beefcake's chance to get Albano in the ring with him. Beefcake and Valentine went toe to toe to start things out. Albano came in, and was quickly in a lot of trouble and the Hammer made the save. Beefcake sent Valentine to the floor, and pinned Albano after a flying knee.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
NWA WORLD JR. HVYWT. CHAMPIONSHIP
JD MICHAELS (ch) def. JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER and GORGEOUS GEORGE

Only two days ago at ECW Hardcore Heaven, JD Michaels upset Liger to win the NWA World Jr. title in his first title defense after winning a 32-man tournament. Liger had been signed to defend at SummerSlam against Gorgeous George, but the match was turned into a Triple Threat.

This one had the crowd amazed and on their feet at the tremendous action. All three went at it tooth and nail, in and out of the ring, using the top rope and the floor to their advantage, while each making saves to keep the match going. JD had April Hunter at ringside, and George had Cherie Dupree, and the ladies also got involved in the match, as well as fighting amongst themselves. JD Michaels hit a pair of top rope elbow smashes while George was down and scored another gigantic victory to retain the World Jr. heavyweight title.

U.S. TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
VALIANTS (ch) def. NAPTOWN DRAGONS

The Naptown Dragons knocked off the then U.S. tag champs the Armstrongs in the first round of the Intercontinental tag team title tournament, and that garnered them this title shot. Lee and Vortekz came close to taking the gold away from Albano's men. Johnny Valiant took a beating, but finally got the tag to Jimmy. The match kept going with each team looking good, but Johnny hit a pair of neckbreakers on Vortekz to win the match and hold onto the U.S. tag team titles.

DON MURACO def. KILLER KOWALSKI

Last week on USWA Glory, Kowalski and Muraco were the last two left in a battle royal for a U.S. title match. Kowalski then turned on Muraco and dumped him out of the ring. However, Sherri Martel came out to announce she already had a title shot signed for her newest charge Ravishing Rick Rude, and this match was signed for SummerSlam.

Kowalsk stormed into Muraco, nearly beating him in no time at all. He battered Muraco around the outside, but it was then that the tide turned. Muraco took advantage and back in the ring used the Hawaiian Hammer to down Kowalski for the pin.

HARLEY RACE def. BUDDY ROGERS by D.Q.

Once more, last week on USWA Glory these two Legends engaged in a spectacular contest that saw Race get the win after almost 30 minutes of wrestling action. The Nature Boy asked for a rematch here at SummerSlam.

Race started out completely in charge. Rogers managed to get some offense going, but Race had the upperhand most of the time. Rogers was becoming very frustrated, and finally lost it on the outside, smashing Race with a steel chair.

U.S. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
CURT HENNIG (ch) def. RICK RUDE

This one was very intense as it was Rude coming out of nowhere with Sherri Martel as his manager last week and announcing he would be challenging for the U.S. title. Before that, he had been in ICW and a member of the Heenan Family.

Hennig wasted no time in putting his stamp on the match, and hit the Perfect Plex. Rude put up a good fight, but Hennig took the win with the Perfect Plex. The Heavenly Bodies, Stan Lane and Tom Prichard, then ran out to triple team the champ under the direction of Sherri Martel. This continued until Harley Race and Larry Hennig were able to put a stop to it.

LADDER MATCH

ROAD WARRIORS (ch) def. KANGAROOS

These two top notch teams went at it one more time in an absolutely brutal Ladder Match. All four men fought hard and endured massive amounts of punshiment. This one could have gone either way on so many occasions, but it was Hawk and Animal coming away victorious.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
MIL MASCARAS (ch) def. JIMMY SNUKA

The Superfly received his shot at getting the title back, one that he never lost in the ring. His feud with Bruiser Brody found itself in a Hell in a Cell match, but he participated in that match against the orders of the championship committee, and was stripped of the title.

The champ looked so good, but the Superfly never stopped fighting back. Snuka took all sorts of high-flying moves from Mascaras. The Mexican Legend took control once more and was able to get the pin with another top rope flying crossbody to retain the world title.

USWA Glory put on a special episode on September 11, remembering those that lost their lives that fateful day.

Talk is surfacing about an all-womens promotion starting so whether or not womens matches will continue in the USWA is up in the air. This one was fast paced as Bennett stayed in against all three opponents. Laree picked things up with a tornado DDT on world champion Madusa. The champ hit a pair of back suplexes on Misty Blue, but it was a Global Bomb by Bennett that pinned Victoria.

Brutus Beefcake def. French Angel

The French Angel lost his debut last week and didn't show much offense this time around either. Beefcake was on fire and though it took some time he beat the French Angel with a knee smash.

Adrian Street def. Koko B. Ware

The Exotic one made it two wins in a row as a crucifix then a knee lift downed the Birdman.

Red Bastien def. Gorgeous George

Bastien kept George in his slump after being unable to capture the world Jr. heavyweight title. The ref went down and while Cherie distracted Red, George almost scored the fall. Bastien held on against the figure four and the spinning toe hold. Red came back after George hit the corner and won with the Boston Crab. Then Adrian Street came out to double team Bastien until Koko B. Ware made the save.

Larry Hennig def. Greg Valentine

Hennig powered his way right through the the Hammer. Valentine took the Axe and a bear hug but another Axe ended the match. Albano's Army ran out to beat on Henning until the Road Warriors stormed into the ring.

Kangaroos/Red Berry def. S.D. Jones, Johnny Rodz, Virgil

This one was over in a hurry after the Greek Cross by Costello on Jones.

Jimmy Snuka/Killer Kowalski def. George Hackenschmidt/Don Muraco

Hackenschmidt tried to beat Kowalski with the bear hug early on. Snuka head butted and powerslammed the Magnificent Muraco for the pin. As Kowalski fought the Russian, Snuka hit the splash on Muraco.

Brad Armstrong def. Tom Prichard

A real good back and forth match. Prichard almost won with a foreign object, but Armstrong capitalized when Martel tried to interfere and it backfired.

Dick Hutton def. John Pesek

[/center]

Pesek looked good with several submission moves early on. Hutton repeatedly used the abdominal stretch until Pesek had enough.

Ed Lewis def. Destroyer

[/center]

Another classic mat wrestling match. Each man was determined to out-wrestle the other. Destroyer lived through the side headlock for a long time. Lewis refused to give up to punishment his legs was receiving. Lewis finally got the headlock on again and put the Destroyer away. After the match, the Destroyer called for some sort of pure wrestling event as the USWA has a lot of great old-school grapplers and they should find out who is the best. Lewis agreed, as did Pesek and Hutton.

Jim Londos def. Frank Gotch

Both men said they'd like to see something along the lines of what the Destroyer was talking about. Londos was too quick for Gotch and the airplane spin then the Boston Crab ended things.

Bob Armstrong def. Stan Lane (ch)

Bullet Bob got a rematch for the title after winning by countout at Summer Slam. Armstrong was a man on a mission as Lane retreated at every step. Armstrong never let up, but Lane got his shots in and almost won after a superkick. Armstrong took over again and his sleeper hold knocked him out to win the world TV title as Sherri Martel screamed. Lane's three-mont reign is over.

Harley Race def. Buddy Rogers

An intense feud has erupted between these two. After Race won a near 30-minute match, Rogers asked for a rematch at Summer Slam. Rogers used a chain in that one to get disqualified. This one was epic with both men so close to winning. Race got the piledriver to take the win, but Rogers kept the fight going all the way to the back.

U.S. Heavyweight Title
Rick Rude def. Curt Hennig (ch)

The Ravishing One hit the USWA last month and immediately grabbed a U.S. title match thanks to Sherri at Summer Slam. Hennig retained, but Rude somehow got another title shot. Hennig looked great, but Rude battled back. They went to the floor and Rude came back with the Rude Awakening and took the belt. This spring he was the Intercontinental champion in ICW. Now with Sherri Martel he is the new United States champion! Hennig was champ for just over three months.

A rematch from Summer Slam. The Samoans never got things going their way. Rodz powerslammed Alofa then S.D. put the sleeper on.

French Angel def. Harley Race

A surprise win, the first for the French Angel, over Harley Race. Things were going Race's way but the French Angel hit some palm strikes then the bear hug ended the match. Buddy Rogers ran in to double team Race. Later the Nature Boy was seen paying the French Angel.

Jimmy Valiant def. Larry Hennig

This one went back and forth. Hennig hit the Axe a couple times and the two kept going at it. The sleeper by Valiant won the match.

Kangaroos def. Heavenly Bodies

Former world TV champion Stan Lane may be focusing on tag teaming now with new title holder Bob Armstrong off to defend in ICW. Costello took the fall with help from the ropes and these teams fought to the back.

Destroyer def. George Hackenschmidt

Two years ago it was the Destroyer who took the world title from George Hackenschmidt. Now these two and many others have been talking amongst themselves about just plain wrestling and seeing who is the best. Hackenschmidt thought this one was over but the Destroyer managed to stay alive despite repeated uses of the bear hug. The Destroyer wouldn't give up and somehow put the figure four on to win by submission.

GAUNTLET MATCH

John Pesek def. Frank Gotch

This was also match #10 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. The gauntlet opener saw Gotch start out with the upperhand. Pesek then took control and wore Gotch down with multiple submission moves until finally getting the win.

Dick Hutton def. John Pesek

Pesek looked in good shape for the second match, but in the end Hutton's strength was the difference. He eventually won with an Oklahoma Roll.

Jim Londos def. Dick Hutton

Londos moved into the final match of the gauntlet. He was too quick and won with the Boston Crab.

A great final match as Lewis took charge with his headlock but Londos wouldn't go down. Londos kept going to the Boston Crab but won with the Airplane Spin.

One week after winning the title Rude was forced to defend against Kowalski, who earned a title shot by winning a battle royal. That opportunity at Summer Slam was taken away by Rude and Sherri Martel. Rude handled the match pretty easily and won with the Rude Awakening.

Next week is the third annual Jim Crockett Memorial Tag Team Tournament!

Interview: Frank Gotch has not been actively wrestling in recent months. The quiet man had a few words. He announced that the U.S. title is his primary goal at this time. To that end he is undertaking a personal challenge to defeat every man in the top 10 rankings of the USWA before taking the U.S. strap. After that his ultimate goal is the world heavyweight title.

The first of 10 trial matches for Frank Gotch is on the card when he faces Buddy Rose. Gotch has set a challenge of beating the top 10 ranked wrestlers in the USWA on his way to the title. Rose is trying to recover from Sherri Martel leaving him and showing up in ICW.

Frank Gotch def. Buddy Rose
The first of a series of matches pitting Frank Gotch against the top 10 wrestlers in the USWA. Rose fought off the leg work by Gotch who used the figure four and the rolling knee bar to set up the Toe Hold. Rose hung in there, helped out by a foreign object, but finally the Toe Hold was too much for him to withstand.

Quick highlights:

Frank Gotch and the former two-time world TV champion Don Leo Jonathan put on a wrestling clinic. This was also match #2 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. Gotch never let up working on the legs of Jonathan and finally won with the Toe Hold.

Destroyer def. Frank Gotch

This was match #3 in the Frank Gotch Trial Match Series. It was an amazing technical contest as the two traded crippling leg holds. In the end it was the Destroyer coming away the victor after the Figure Four. Surprisingly given the Destroyer's conduct the last several months the two shook hands after the match.

This was No. 4 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. An amazing technical display by both grapplers. Inoki could not stand anymore after Gotch repeatedly used the rolling knee bar and took the win with the Toe Hold.

This was match No. 5 in the Frank Gotch 10 Match Trial Series. Race dominated this one as Gotch never got a strong hold applied. Race hammered away until getting the pin with the Piledriver.

FRANK GOTCH def. BOBO BRAZIL by D.Q.

A great back and forth technical match. Bobo's power gave Gotch trouble, but his mat wrestling kept getting him out of it. Bobo accidentally nailed the referee, and after some time he came to and rang the bell. During the time without a ref, Bobo twice had Gotch down for a pin.

Gotch didn't have it at all, and Rogers made a serious statement about his being back and ready to make another run at the world title. Rogers wore Gotch out and beat him with the figure four.

An awesome wrestling display. Gotch really stayed on top of Londos nearly the entire bout. Both men had chances to claim victory, but Gotch used the Toe Hold and then a rolling kneebar to finish off Londos.

The gauntlet opener saw Gotch start out with the upperhand. Pesek then took control and wore Gotch down with multiple submission moves until finally getting the win.

Buddy Rogers stood in the back trying to find out why he was told to be here for this event when he didn't have a match. USWA officials and Harley Race informed him he did have a match. Race smiled as Rogers went to the ring and his opponent was announced.

ANDRE THE GIANT def. BUDDY ROGERS

An incredible matchup as the Nature Boy showed why he is a former world champion and a serious threat to that title at any time. He went toe to toe with the eighth wonder of the world and very nearly defeated the giant. Twice he was able to apply his figure four but Andre was able to withstand the pain. They battled out on the floor. Rogers continually found offense coming off the ropes. Andre battered Rogers until finally putting him down for the big splash to take the win. (both men had 3 coins)

Glory opened with footage of the press conference where the Destroyer announced the Takedown Masters Tournament to be hosted by the UWF and to start next week. As a preview three matches tonight are the same as in the first round of that tournament -- Curt Hennig vs. Frank Gotch, Jim Londos vs. Buddy Rogers, and Harley Race vs. George Hackenschmidt.

KANGAROOS def. KOKO B. WARE/RED BASTIEN

The former world tag team champions worked over Koko and Red until deciding to finish them off. Al Costello's leglock put away Bastien.

CURT HENNIG def. FRANK GOTCH

Former U.S. champ Curt Hennig is going to focus on this tournament to show he is the best in the world. This was a truly excellent contest showcasing a pair of great wrestlers. Hennig asserted his control most of the way as the two went back and forth. Hennig got the pin with the Perfect Plex.

PAUL LONDON/BRIAN KENDRICK def. GORGEOUS GEORGE/ADRIAN STREET

This one evolved into an awesome tag team match. London took a beating for quite awhile to start but after that the teams exchanged moves and dominance for a long time. Both teams were well worn down but it was London getting the win with a dropsault on Street. George will be involved in the Takedown Masters event starting next week. This was London and Kendrick's first match in USWA.

DON MURACO/GREG VALENTINE def. JIMMY SNUKA/BRUTUS BEEFCAKE

Snuka teamed up with Beefcake as he has a lot of experience fighting Albano's Army. Beefcake was killed everytime he got in the ring. It was Valentine that Hammered him down for the three count.

JIM LONDOS def. BUDDY ROGERS

Another preview of the Takedown Masters Tournament. An amazing battle as Roger's size advantage helped him crush Londos over and over with the piledriver. It was a very even fight though as both men found themselves in a lot of trouble during the course of the bout. Londos put together a flurry and the Airplane Spin earned him the victory.

GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT def. HARLEY RACE

Hackenschmidt took over with his power advantage but Race showed he could hold his own against the Russian. Race took the bear hug but Hackenschmidt won with a heel hook. Race was seen chuckling after Rogers' loss, and the Nature Boy openly laughed after Race lost his match.

VALIANT BROTHERS (ch) def. PEPPER GOMEZ/ILIO DIPAOLO

Albano's men jumped the challengers in this rematch from the Triathlon Surivor. A double team led to the top rope elbow that pinned Gomez before they even knew the match had started. They then tripled teamed him afterwards.

ANDRE THE GIANT def. RICK RUDE

Andre started his singles work last week with a hard-fought win over Buddy Rogers. This time he took on the U.S. champion with Sherri Martel. Rude was able to land some blows to start but did little to hurt the Giant. Andre ignored Sherri's antics and won after a bear hug and a massive head butt.

S.D. never made a tag. First the flapjack from the Heavenly Bodies. Then Prichard decked him with a foreign object and laughed about. Rick Rude finished him off.

ED LEWIS def. BRUTUS BEEFCAKE

The Strangler took out his frustration over a poor showing in the UWF Takedown Masters Tournament on Beefcake. Brutus just had no answer for the pure wrestling and Lewis punished him before putting him away.

FRANK GOTCH def. JIM LONDOS

Two more grapplers that didn't do well in the big tournament. This match was a classic with both men showing how good they really are. Gotch came out on top this time with the kneebar.

KANGAROOS def. GORGEOUS GEORGE/ADRIAN STREET

The 'Roos may not be tag champs anymore but they are looking for some competition. George never got a tag and was pounded down with ease.

JOHN PESEK def. DICK HUTTON

Hutton has beaten Pesek twice and seemed to have his number again in this one. Pesek pulled out a win with the keylock and then Hutton snapped and beat him all around ringside.

RED BASTIEN/KOKO B. WARE def. VALIANTS

The U.S. champs let this one get away from them. A real good tag match that was pretty even but Koko caught Johnny V. with a flying headbutt for the three count.

DESTROYER def. CURT HENNIG

The Destroyer was really upset with himself for not doing much at the Takedown Masters. He got revenge on Hennig for a pair of defeats, including being eliminated by him. The Destroyer won with the Figure Four.

DON MURACO/GREG VALENTINE def. PAUL LONDON/BRIAN KENDRICK

A fast match with each team seeing some offense. Muraco stopped this one in its tracks with the Hawaiian Hammer on Kendrick.

BUDDY ROGERS/FRENCH ANGEL def. HARLEY RACE/LARRY HENNIG

A great matchup as part of a new feud that is heating up even more between Race and Rogers. It started out one on one but Race is the man that brought Andre in to meet Rogers. The Nature Boy then sent the French Angel after Race and he picked up a win. This one went back and forth and in and out of the ring. Rogers ended it with the Figure Four on Hennig.

ANDRE THE GIANT def. GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT

The Russian Lion thought his power and top level wrestling ability would give him a chance against the Giant. It didn't. Andre was unstoppable although Hackenschmidt did give him a fight and wasn't easy to put away. Andre enjoyed himself immensely as he won with the Big Splash.

Great stuff Ty! Good to see Pesek get on track vs. Hutton. The Nebraska Tiger Man is one of my favorite new cards from Partners. Race v. Rogers is always a great feud, and throwing the French Angel, and Andre into it is awesome!
