Big victory by Brody and Sheik might have bitten too much to battle Thesz. Conways continue to rock. Iron Sheik has always been a bit of an overachiever for me, so I'm excited for this potential blow-off between him and Thesz... Next big show is right around the corner!

Pro Class Wrestling Association ACTION TALKS Year 1, Apr-27 Royal Farms Arena, Baltimore, MD
Commentary: Paul Ellering and Trish Stratus
GORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ Cherie Dupre) def. MAGNUM T.A. via submission. - A well timed distraction by Cherie helped George avoid disqualification as repeatedly smashed Magnum's leg against a corner post. Magnum was nearly counted out while trying to shake some life back into his limb. Despite a noble effort, the damage was too much to overcome and Magnum tapped out after George caught him with a SPINNING TOEHOLD. - Tokens: George 1 - Magnum 4
2 COLD SCORPIO and WYLD BOYZ (Marty Jannetty & Randy Rose) vs. DAVID TAYLOR and RED ARMY (Boris Zhukov & Nikolai Volkoff w/ Rock Riddle) resulted in a double disqualification. - With fluid teamwork, Scorpio and the Boyz did an excellent job of controlling the pace. Isolating Volkoff from his own corner, Rose and Jannetty executed a HUMAN COUGH DROP. Before the referee could count the fall, Taylor and Zhukov charged into the ring to make the save. A wild brawl erupted and the referee tossed out the match. - Tokens: Zhukov 2, Volkoff 1 - This battle continued into the backstage area where security finally managed to separate the combatants. Taylor took a parting swing with his flag pole that struck Scorpio across the back. Scorpio grabbed the pole and took off with Taylor's British flag.
At Ringside: The arena went dark as a pulsing blue light flashed from the giant video monitor above the runway. Stratus was pleased the mystery had finally been solved as the familiar voice boomed from the house speakers. "It's me! It's me! It's DDP! Ready or not, someone's about to feel the BANG!"
DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE def. CHRIS CANDIDO via pinfall. - The action moved at a blistering pace. Candido survived several close calls by playing an adept game of cat and mouse, but DDP eventually caught up and hit a DIAMOND CUTTER to earn an impressive debut victory. - Tokens: DDP 1 - Candido 3 - Addressing the cheering fans, DDP told everyone to get ready because he was bringing his own brand of interview segment to Wednesday Night Whiplash called the Diamond Mine. BANG!
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey w/ Jim Cornette) def. BUZZKILLERS (Brad Armstrong & Jim Brunzell) via pinfall. - Brunzell missed a high risk move, allowing Midnight Express to gain a solid upper hand. Cornette lured Armstrong away from his corner just as Brunzell was reaching for a much needed tag. Before Armstrong could get back into postiion, Eaton pinned Brunzell with a Double Goozle. - Tokens: Brunzell 4 - Despite the questionable nature of the finish, Midnight Express evened the score in their rivalry with the Buzzkillers at one victory apiece. Condrey suffered an injury and will be out of action for 3 months.
THE DESTROYER def. AJ STYLES via pinfall. - Destroyer brought the undefeated streak of Styles to an end, pinning him with a handstand knee drop. As a sign of mutual respect, the two competitors shook hands at the conclusion of the match. - Tokens: Styles 4 - Greg Valentine confronted Destroyer as he exited the ring. Stating there is only room for one master of the figure four leglock in this company, Valentine told Destroyer to stop using his trademark hold. When Destroyer started to respond, Brutus Beefcake jumped him from behind. Rushing back towards the ring, Styles grabbed a steel chair and chased off the Dream Team before any serious harm was done.
Backstage: Wanting to ensure a decisive finish in each of the next two contests, Commissioner Dillon declared them both Extreme Rules matches with no one permitted at ringside.
CURT HENNIG def. BARRY WINDHAM via pinfall in an Extreme Rules match. - After whipping his opponent to the ropes, Windham made the fatal error of dropping his head too soon. The telegraphed move allowed Hennig to stun Windham with a rolling neck snap and using the ropes for additional leverage, pick up a quick win. - Tokens: Windham 1 - This result made the upcoming contest between Blackjack Mulligan and Tully Blanchard very important. If Mulligan loses, both he and Windham will be forced to serve Commissioner Dillon as his private enforcers. Neither man has made any secret about their ill feelings towards the commissioner, meaning this could become a very uncomfortable situation.
BLACKJACK MULLIGAN def. TULLY BLANCHARD via pinfall in an Extreme Rules match. - Mulligan attacked Blanchard before the opening bell and took him apart in record time, pinning him with a lariat. - Tokens: n/a - Windham greeted his father backstage to celebrate. Before Windham had a chance to react, Mulligan pounced with a BLACKJACK CLAW. He shouted that Windham was an embarassment and he would rather join forces with Commissioner Dillon than be associated with a son that is unable to live up to the family name.
MIRACLE VIOLENCE CONNECTION (Steve Williams & Terry Gordy) def. ROAD WARRIORS (Animal & Hawk) via pinfall in a PCWA Global Tag Team Championship match. - All four competitors pushed the envelope in this vicious seesaw battle. The referee was looking for a decisive finish, turning a blind eye to some blatant rule breaking by both teams. The Road Warriors leveled Williams with a double clothesline and were setting him up for the DOOMSDAY DEVICE when Gordy cut down Animal with a chop block to the back of the knees. Even though he was not the legal man, Gordy finished Hawk with a POWERBOMB. - Tokens: Williams 2, Gordy 1 - Animal 1, Hawk 2 Miracle Violence Connection retained the PCWA Global Tag Team Championship. - This was a successful version four title defense.
Backstage: Bobby Heenan made sure to point out that his client, Nick Bockwinkel, was absent due to being home to recover from an injury. He said it was remarkable how competitors seemed to wind up in this predicament while facing Lou Thesz in the ring. Perhaps someone that receives such high praise as Thesz should not feel the need to put others on the disabled list just because he fears a little worthy opposition.
IRON SHEIK (w/ Rock Riddle) def. LOU THESZ in a Last Man Standing match. - Thesz was on fire, pounding Sheik with everything in his arsenal. When it looked like Sheik was going down for the count, Riddle altered the course of the match by passing his walking stick to his client. Sheik bashed Thesz with the foreign object and clamped on a CAMEL CLUTCH. Thesz was unable to answer the referee's ten count, bringing this marathon encounter to an end. - Tokens: Sheik 9 - Thesz 12 - After being declared the winner, Sheik collapsed in the middle of the ring. When Riddle approached to check on his client, Thesz summoned up enough energy to nail him with a THESZ PRESS to the delight of the crowd.
Backstage: Commissioner Dillon was proud to offer Blackjack Mulligan a position alongside Curt Henning and Tully Blanchard. This hand picked group's main responsibility will be protecting the interests of the commissioner and from this point forward, will be known as the Regulators. For his first task, Mulligan was ordered to teach Barry Windham a lesson in humility. Mulligan said he would get the job done and told Dillon he wanted a match against his son on the next episode of Wednesday Night Whiplash.
BOBO BRAZIL def. RANDY SAVAGE, JIMMY SNUKA, JACKIE FARGO, BRUISER BRODY and TED DIBIASE in a PCWA Global Heavyweight Championship Six Pack Challenge. - Order of elimination: 1. DiBiase eliminated by Snuka via pinfall with a SUPERFLY LEAP. 2. Brody eliminated by Fargo via pinfall with an ATOMIC DROP. 3. Fargo eliminated by Brazil via pinfall with a Bobo body slam. 4. Snuka eliminated by Savage via pinfall with a FLYING ELBOW DROP. 5. Savage eliminated by Brazil via pinfall with a COCO BUTT. - As expected, this was an unpredictable affair that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Before leaving the ring after his elimination, DiBiase sucker punched Brody and Fargo was able to swiftly narrow the field. Bailing out to the floor, Fargo tried to wait for things to thin out even further, but Brazil refused to let him take the easy way out. After Snuka was sent packing, Brazil patiently overpowered his last remaining opponent. - Tokens: Brazil 4 - Savage 5 - Snuka 4 - Fargo 2 - Brody 2 - DiBiase 1 BOBO BRAZIL won the PCWA Global Heavyweight Championship.

Bobo Brazil pulls off the big upset. Destroyer continues to overachieve and MVC still hold the tag belts. Lots of fun. Six Packs are possibly my favorite kinda match to play... When it came down to Brazil and Savage, I really thought Macho Man was going to reclaim the gold... But, Brazil landed one COCO BUTT after another until... BOOM! New champion!

Great action and the forthcoming feud between father and son will be epic. This was a case of giving the dice 100% control... If Windham had won his match, I was not going to have Mulligan turn on his son... And if both had lost, they would have remained allies as reluctant members of the Regulators... I'm kinda stoked this is how it played out... Brutal!
