Pro Class Wrestling Association WEDNESDAY NIGHT WHIPLASH! Episode #6, Year 1, Feb-7 Manhattan Center, New York, NY
Commentary: Paul Ellering and Trish Stratus
LARRY HENNIG def. FRANK DALTON via pinfall. - Dalton attacked Hennig before the opening bell. Hennig immediately reversed a whip into the turnbuckles and nearly decapitated Dalton with a clothesline before ending this match in record time with THE AXE. - Tokens: n/a
In The Ring: The newly crowned PCWA Global Heavyweight Champion, Randy Savage, accompanied by his manager, Sherri Martel, addressed the allegations made by Harley Race on the previous show. He accused Race of being a sore loser that should learn how to accept defeat. OHHH YEAH! When Martel started to speak, Trish Stratus threw down her headset and confronted the manager. Ellering held her back to prevent a physical altercation.
HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN and FLYING TIGERS (Tiger Conway Jr & Tiger Conway Sr) def. JACKIE FARGO and DREAM TEAM (Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine) via pinfall. - The Flying Tigers used their aerial expertise to frustrate their opponents. Beefcake and Valentine tried to regroup out on the floor, but Conway Jr wiped them out with a suicide dive. He tossed Valentine back into the ring and Conway Sr hit a diving crossbody block from the top rope for the win. - Tokens: ConwayJr 1 - Beefcake 1 - Furthering the rivalry that started during the Battle Royal two weeks ago, Fargo and Duggan continued trading blows after the bell. The Dream Team argued for the match to continue because Conway Sr was not the legal man when he scored the pinfall. The Tigers ended the dispute by hitting tandem dropkicks that sent Beefcake and Valentine stumbling over the top rope! - Realizing there was still plenty of heat among those involved in this contest, Commissioner Dillon announced two more matches for Brutal Planet - Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Jackie Fargo and Flying Tigers vs. Dream Team.
Backstage: Sherri Martel stormed into Commissioner Dillon's office, furious over the disrespect shown by Trish Stratus while the PCWA Global Heavyweight Champion was trying to address the crowd. Dillon stated she would get her chance to earn some respect when she faces Stratus at Brutal Planet!
GORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ Cherie Dupre) def. JERRY LYNN via pinfall. - Still fuming over the underhanded tactics used by George during their match a few weeks ago, RVD rushed the ring to prevent him from doing the same against his current opponent. A shouted warning from his valet bought George enough time to react. He latched onto Lynn and RVD, ramming their heads together to escape with another win that disgusted the crowd. - Tokens: George 3 - Lynn 3 - Making a swift recovery, RVD chased George into the backstage area. Security cut him off, giving George time to blow him a kiss before making a clean getaway. Lynn caught up and accused RVD of costing him the match in an attempt to steal the spotlight. Ignoring the complaint, RVD pointed at himself with both thumbs and informed Lynn that the Whole F'n Show owns the spotlight.
Backstage: The Buzzkillers were in Commissioner Dillon's office, being informed they will challenge Miracle Violence Connection for the PCWA Global Tag Team Championship on next week's episode of Wednesday Night Whiplash! The conversation was interrupted by the arrival of Bobby 'the Brain' Heenan and his client, Nick Bockwinkel. The pair demanded that Bockwinkel be granted a fast track to the top of the rankings. Dillon promised that he had already lined up a high profile match for Bockwinkel for next week's main event. When asked for the name of the opponent, Dillon replied that Bockwinkel would face the current number one contender for the PCWA Global Heavyweight Championship, Harley Race!
TED DIBIASE def. JIMMY SNUKA via pinfall in a Big Apple Street Fight. - Moments after the opening bell, Snuka was distracted by the surprise arrival of King Kong Bundy. When Bundy approached the ring, Snuka reached through the ropes to take a swipe at the intruder. DiBiase capitalized on the opening, nailing Snuka with a low blow. Before Snuka could regain his bearings, DiBiase put him down with a backbreaker. Using the ropes for additional leverage, he pinned Snuka and brought the match to an abrupt end. - Tokens: Snuka 2 - Taking a step back, DiBiase allowed Bundy to take over the assault. Bundy tried to deliver an ATLANTIC CITY AVALANCHE, but Snuka managed to roll safely out of harm's way. Pointing at the duo, Snuka vowed to get revenge.

Something amusing about a Street Fight ending with ropes for leverage. Nice victory by the Gorgeous One.

Something amusing about a Street Fight ending with ropes for leverage. Nice victory by the Gorgeous One. When considering this finish, I figured that rope breaks are still a thing even when there's no disqualification... Here's a question though - How can you force a wrestler to break a submission hold after a five count in this kind of scenario? Does the referee simply toss out the match if he refuses?

It's one of those mysteries along with..if there's no dqs, why aren't your partners interfering left and right. Wrestling logic.

The buzzkillers are a surprisingly good team and lots of fun. I think they'll give the champs all they can handle. Race vs Bockwinkel is a dream match no matter when or where it happens and I can't wait to see Brody vs Volkoff. That should be brutal.

Race vs Bockwinkel is a dream match no matter when or where it happens and I can't wait to see Brody vs Volkoff. That should be brutal. I've been pleasantly surprised by the Buzzkillers and think they might give MVC a run for the gold. Race vs. Bock has instant classic written all over it and should have immediate ramifications on the title scene... I'm hoping the dice give Brody a push because I'd like to see him join the hunt as well. Always appreciate the continued interest, my friend... Many thanks!
