I just got done watching Season 2 Episode 1. It is great to see this series return. I think the person in the final scene (who I will not name here for those who have not seen the episode yet) is the same person who was unseen at the end of one of the episodes on Season 1.

It'll be interesting to see how that person's story is revealed and it is another reason why this series is really good for the Star Wars franchise...

Finally finished S2 of The Boys (decent) and caught up on Fargo (perfection) to get to the first episode of S2 of this. Loved it a lot. Wasn’t so bothered by the stunt casting in this one as there were so many familiar faces /voices from Deadwood (greatest show of all time). Also love the continued use of a practical puppet as The Child. Cannot beat having something physically there as opposed to CGI. Eager to see where the season leads.

I hate to say it but I found myself nitpicking the newest episode. I wish I could just sit there and enjoy it because it’s fiction. But the whole time I’m thinking
SPOILERS BELOW -
“Why are you going to risk your life fighting this giant beast when you can just waste this dude and take his armor?”
Then during the scene where he almost dies trying to blow the creature up he says to the Marshall “take care of the child”. This is the second time he’s been happy to just leave the kid with some stranger he just met. It also reminded me of the episode in season 1 when they tracked down that other big creature to kill for the Jawas. Very similar story.
Totally says more about me not being able to just enjoy it. Nothing wrong w the episode. Just seemed like the story could have been wrapped up by having him crush the Marshall and take back the armor.
I suppose the Mandalorian is a good guy who goes out of his way to help others so that explains him deciding to risk his life, his mission to protect the child and the armor for a group of strangers he just met. I’m interested to hear what you guys think.

I thought season 2 episode 2 was probably the weakest episode in the series so far.
Spoilers below -
The passenger wasn’t much of an interesting character. Baby Yoda eating her eggs was a little morbid too. Poor Mandalorian fights off a new massive monster every week.
What did you guys think?

Definitely one of the weaker shows of the series. Hoping things pick up once they go to the water planet Mon Cala, which I have to think is soon.

I agree that the 2nd episode for this new season was not that great.
But I am really looking forward to the upcoming live-action debuts of Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren.

I liked the third episode. I think they went all out for the special effects. Of course this could also mean next week will be a bottle episode to save $, probably with Mando repairing his ship and possibly getting help.
I don’t think we’ll see Tano right away but I’m hoping we do.

The fight scene at the beginning of last week’s episode was one of the most fun I’ve seen since the Marvel/Netflix series. Great episode this week. Loving all the Deadwood cameos. Someone in casting is a fan.

I liked episode two, but agree it was the weakest in this season and then episode three delivered a fun action packed story...
