Agreed but I’m not sure if it counts as a happy ending considering what happens in about 10-15 years.

A touching season finale, I'm in the section of Star Wars fan where I have no issues with the most recent films and the overall SW franchise, but John Favreau really has made The Mandalorian the bench mark going forward...

Great finale. Super fun action. My only minor complaint: I wish they would have waited until the end of this finale episode for him to remove his helmet for the first time. It was a really anti-climactic moment since he'd done so in an earlier episode. It would have meant more. Also loved the after credits sequence and excited for whatever comes from it.

I'm glad I read this, I didn't watch the after credits the first time I watched this episode...

I finally got to see the season finale tonight. Unfortunately some of this show had been spoiled for me, but thankfully I had not heard yet about that final scene after the credits. Oh wow!

I did read a theory on that final sequence ... they have not announced a show with that title coming next year BUT they have announced “The Mandalorian” season 3 for December 2021. So the thought is that the main character of said show may change as the first two seasons are the Book of Djinn. The next two seasons could be someone else’s story.

Incredible season finale. I’m a little foggy on my Star Wars history and timelines so I wasn’t 100% sure exactly what I was watching but it was awesome! Lol

Incredible season finale. I’m a little foggy on my Star Wars history and timelines so I wasn’t 100% sure exactly what I was watching but it was awesome! Lol This show is set a few years after the destruction of the 2nd Death Star in Return of the Jedi (I believe about 10 years after). Its about 20 years before the newest trilogy with Rey and Kylo Ren. Hope that helps. Given that timeline I thought the savior at the end looked a little young still. I saw it coming, but didn't make it any less awesome.

I should probably rewatch the whole series now lol Edit: I kind of thought that was the deal especially w the Grogu stuff but I keep seeing people still calling him baby Yoda so I wasn't 100% sure what was going on.

I agree with you, throwingtoasters. There would have been more impact if that was the first time he took off the helmet.
