Wicks vs Monroe is always great. I agree with that. I tend with Legends just to use what move is on the card.

PRO WRESTLINGUSA
Baron Von Raschke defeated Playboy Buddy Rose (w/Sherri). Rose was in control for much of the match, but Baron made a big comeback and got the pin after a over the knee backbreaker.
Raging Bull Manny Fernandez (w/JJ Dillon) won by countout over Charlie Brown (who didn't quite look the same). Charlie had the sleeper locked in but Manny made it to the ropes and bailed out. Charlie gave chase but Manny got the advantage and ran Brown's head into the post before delivering a hard suplex on the floor. Charlie Brown could not meet the count and Manny was awarded the win.
Following the match Manny tossed Charlie Brown back into the ring and began to unmask him, but was stopped by BOOGIE WOOGIE MAN JIMMY VALIANT. Valiant beat up Manny and sent him running to the back. BOB CAUDLE got a ringside interview with Jimmy who said he's thankful for his street people like Charlie Brown and he's back to get revenge on false friends like Manny Fernandez. Jimmy said Manny took his beard but when the Boogie Man is done Manny will be a bald headed geek.
Outlaw Ron Bass and Black Bart wrestled to a double disqualification with Bill and Scott Irwin.A great brawl of a match ended when Bart went for the pin on Scott, but Bill came in to break it up. Bass entered the ring to fight with Bill and a two on two brawl broke out. Soon Bass went to the corner to grab his bullwhip and Bill Irwin went to the opposite corner to grab his own bullwhip. The referee was not having any of it, bailed out of the ring and called the match off. Calmer heads prevailed when AWA president VERNE GAGNE and NWA commissioner BILL WATTS came out and threatened both teams with suspensions unless they broke it up and headed to the back. Chick Donovan (w/Jimmy Hart) beat Southern Champ Bill Dundee in a non-title match.Dundee had Chick in trouble but Jimmy Hart reached in and raked Dundee's eyes when he had the Indian Deathlock applied. Chick recovered and used a vertical suplex for the pin (with his feet on the ropes for leverage).Prince Kharis The Mummy (w/Sinister Minister) beat Magnum TA after the MAGICAL MUMMY FOREARM.Once again manager interference made the difference. Magnum had Kharis in trouble but Sinister Minister James MItchell introduced the Book Of The Dead into the match and clocked Magnum in the head. That allowed the Mummy time to use his "magical forearm" for the pin. The Moondogs (w/Rock Riddle) defeated The Fabulous Ones to defend the world tag team championship. This was a really great tag team match. After about ten minutes Rock Riddle got involved to break a pin attempt on Spot, but Lenny Lane ran over and fought with Riddle to the back. That cleared the ringside area for the finish. Spot had the referee distracted Rex grabbed the bone from the corner and hit Steve to set up the MOONDOG DROP for the pin. Before the main event Gordon Solie conducted an in-ring interview with Japanese dignitary ANTONIO INOKI. Inoki, through his interpretor, said he was happy to be in Baltimore for such a historic event and he is very familiar with Stan Hansen from his time in Japan and with Nick Bockwinkel as one of the great champions in wrestling. Inoki concluded by saying that whoever wins tonight has an open challenge to come defend the title in Japan and make the title a true world title.Nick Bockwinkel (w/Bobby Heenan) defeated Stan Hansen via BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER to defend the NWA world title.Stan wore down the champ and locked in the Brazos Valley Backbreaker, but Nick made it to the ropes for the break. The action went to the floor, but the champion got the better of the altercation and Stan rolled back into the ring hurting. Bockwinkel slipped in behind with the sleeper and got the victory to successfully defend the belt.
Following the match Inoki entered the ring and attempted to shake hands with the champion, but Nick blew him off and turned around so Bobby could strap the title belt around his waist. Inoki grabbed Nick by the shoulder and spun him around. The competitors had an intense stare down and Inoki made it very clear he was coming after the world title by pointing at the belt and then motioning to his own waist, using the universal wrestler language to indicate he wants that belt.

Go Kharis...probably should retire him now as he's unlikely to top that win.

Go Kharis...probably should retire him now as he's unlikely to top that win. ................ For real! I did not expect that win and thought the Mitchell interference would backfire since that's about half the back of his card. Now when Bob Backlund is all healed up that's the match and I have to reconsider what happens to Magnum. Ever since he lost the US title I can't get any momentum going for him.

Once again, it's time for AWA WRESTLING...to disappoint me....(seriously, can the dice just be nice to this territory and my plans for once?)
LARRY NELSON began the show with the big news that NICK BOCKWINKEL successfully defended the NWA world title against Stan Hansen this past weekend in Baltimore and Baron Von Raschke was victorious in the undercard over Playboy Buddy Rose. He said we'll see Baron and Crusher take on Rose and Somers in tonight's main event as both teams attempt to advance to become the new AWA tag team champions. However, one team from the AWA was not successful even though they didn't lose, as SCOTT AND BILL IRWIN could not secure the rights to the name LONG RIDERS in a double disqualification against RON BASS and BLACK BART. Verne Gagne and Bill Watts are currently in negotiations to figure out a way to resolve this situation and more on that in the weeks ahead.
Jake "Milkman" Milliman delivered against "Mr Electricity" Steve Regal with a win after a falling head butt.Getting things started in fine fashion as Regal couldn't get anything going out of the gates and Milliman won in convincing fashion. The Milkman had a rousing celebration in the ring, acting as if his rare win was a title victory. Regal rolled out of the ring and spoke with Ken Resnick at ringside. He said he came here with a 102 degree fever, jet lag, and a stubbed toe besides and THIS is what happens. Regal vowed to bounce back and said big things are on the horizon for Mr Electricity. Larry "The Axe" Hennig defeated Pampero Firpo. As you'd imagine, quite the fight every time Firpo steps in the ring. Hennig got the pin after his second AXE. Studio interview with THE TROOPER. Trooper said Larry Zbyszko got the better of their first encounter, but he did it in an underhanded way while Trooper tried to abide by the rules. Trooper said this made him change his attitude a little and he's looking inside and digging deeper, so don't doubt he'll do whatever it takes next time to shut Larry Z's big mouth. Bruiser Brody mauled Nacho Barrerra.Nacho, to his credit, tried some offense but had little to no effect. Brody tossed him out of the ring, through him back in, out the other side, and finally back in to deliver the big jumping knee for the pin. Larry Nelson conducted an in-ring interview with Brody after the match. Brody tossed a garbage can in the ring and started throwing garbage everywhere shouting "garbage, garbage, garbage" before saying that's what Stan Hansen is if he can't beat a punk like Nick Bockwinkel after he got a lucky shot on Brody. But Brody said all he needs is one chance and tricky Nicky won't be so tricky anymore. Ken Resnick recapped the situation with Jim Brunzell versus the Russians from last week and said tonight they meet in a tag team match. He brought out Jim Brunzell and asked about his partner. Brunzell said the Russians want a fight with the USA so he went out and got MR USA to join him. TONY ATLAS walked out and said they are about to defend the country, defend the AWA, and then go on to become tag team champions. Jumpin Jim Brunzell and Tony Atlas defeated Alexis Smirnoff and Boris Zhukov.About fifteen minutes of intense tag team action. In the end Jim got in trouble but managed to tag out to Atlas. Tony came in and hit his press slam for a cover, but BOris broke it up. Atlas tagged out to Brunzell who got the pin after the dropkick. NWA world champion Nick Bockwinkel was joined by his manager BOBBY HEENAN in a pre-taped interview from the champ's mansion in Beverly Hills. Bobby said he told the world who the greatest was and once again in Baltimore they proved it. Nick said he has dominated the world the same way he dominated the AWA for so long and he looks forward to coming back soon to show the fans of the greatest wrestling in the world exactly what they have to be thankful for when he graces them with his presence. Baron Von Raschke and The Crusher defeated Buddy Rose and Doug Somers (w/Sherri Martel). Sherri's managerial woes continue as her men fell in defeat yet again. They put up a good fight, but the Crusher was too much to handle in the end and got the pin on Doug after the CRUSHER BOLO.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING Cowboy Bill Watts began the show with Tony and David and said as proud as he was about the group effort the three top promotions in the country put on in Baltimore for Pro Wrestling USA, it's time to show why World Championship Wrestling is the undisputed leader in wrestling today. Therefor tonight is CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY when the light heavyweight, world tag, and US titles will all be on the line. Watts was interrupted by Bob Backlund. Bob said he should have been part of the Pro Wrestling USA show if not for the attack by the Mummy. He said he's back and he wants his revenge tonight. Bill said Bob is still hurting and barely cleared to wrestle, but if he thinks he knows what he's doing and if James Mitchell will agree then it's as good as signed. Thunderbolt Patterson beat George South.A nice one sided win for T-bolt, who got the pin after the HEAD BUTT. T-bolt spoke with Tony and David after the match. He said there's championships being defended all over the place tonight, and that's a good thing. But what's not so good is that Thunderbolt isn't in the mix. He vowed that's a problem he's going to remedy and it doesn't matter if it's the tag titles with his friend Jerry Brisco who is about to defend his title, the US title, or even the world title held by Nick Bockwinkel, Thunderbolt needs some GOLD. Jerry Brisco beat Lenny Lane to defend the light heavyweight title.Lenny was once again impressive, but Brisco had just a little more in the tank at the end and put him away with the OKLAHOMA ROLL. Rock Riddle led the Moondogs down to the ring after the bout to put the boots to Lane. Lane was saved by Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle. Sarge went over to the mic and said if Riddle wants his men in a fight, there's a pair of men standing right here who can give them a fair one and there's no reason to wait. Bill Watts entered the scene and said that's a great idea, then ordered the referee to ring the bell. Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle beat the Moondogs to win the world tag team championship.Great match. In the end Lenny Lane made the difference. A brawl broke out after Spot broke up a pin on Rex. Riddle had the ref distracted and Rex grabbed the bone from the corner. He went to hit Sarge, but Lenny ran into the ring and snatched the bone from behind. Sarge and Don rallied and Don pinned Rex after the ATOMIC BOMB. US champ Tommy Rich came out to a huge ovation. He told Tony and David that last week there was a disqualification in his match with Raging Bull, but this week he went to Watts and demanded a rematch with Fernandez so he can put to rest any doubt who the real man is in this situation. He vowed that after he's done with the Bull he still has his eyes set on Nick Bockwinkel and the NWA title because all these fans saw Tommy Rich beat the champ three times if not for Bobby The Brain Heenan. Tommy left and Tony was joined by Sinister Minister James Mitchell. Mitchell said Bob Backlund has bitten off more than he can chew tonight and he's about to get all he wanted and more because after the Mummy is done with him he'll be introduced to the newest member of The House Of Horror. Prince Kharis The Mummy beat Bob Backlund after the MAGICAL MUMMY FOREARM.Yes, he did it again. First Magnum and now Bob. Same finish, too. Bob hit the ATOMIC DROP but the Mummy's foot smacked referee Tommy Young in the face on the way down. Bob covered with no ref to count and Mitchell hit Bob in the back of the head with the Book Of The Dead. Young recovered just in time to see Mummy making the pin after the forearm. Following the match Laughing Man Hugh Morrus made his return and hit Bob with the NO LAUGHING MATTER twice in a row. Thunderbolt Patterson and Jerry Brisco tried to get in to help but were held at bay by Mitchell with the book and Mummy swinging wild forearms. Finally Bolt grabbed the bell from ringside and started swinging to get the three villains to evacuate the ring. Tommy Rich (w/Jimmy Valiant) pinned Raging Bull Manny Fernandez (w/JJ Dillon) to defend the US title.Rich once again proved he's the greatest thing not named Bockwinkel going today with a clean pinfall via THESZ PRESS as Jimmy Valiant's presence at ringside negated JJ Dillon so there could be a decisive winner. Rich and Valiant celebrated with Tony and David after the match. Jimmy said Wildfire is the man the street people can get behind but his beef with Manny is far from over. Manny tried to take his beard, his dignity, and his career but the Boogie Man will go down but never out. Jimmy vowed to be a thorn in the side of Manny and JJ Dillon until they're smart enough to tuck tail and run like the wounded dogs they are.
Aaand, since ASCAP doesn't exist in fantasy land, we cue the music without the annoying WWE Network dub over so the fans can go home happy:

CWAwith your host, Lance Russell
Lance began the show by announcing that, due to the actions over the past two weeks, Brad Armstrong, Tracy Smothers, Eddie Gilbert, and Adrian Street were suspended for the week and matchmaker Eddie Marlin will be here next week to announce how he intends to do to keep the fans safe next time these four meet in the ring.
Then onto the business of what went down at Pro Wrestling USA, where Chick Donovan and Jimmy Hart got the better of Superstar Dundee in a non-title match. Dundee came out and said he wants Donovan in the ring again tonight to right what went wrong in Baltimore. Jimmy Hart and Chick with Ox Baker came out to confront Dundee and it looked like they were about to jump the champion when Austin Idol came out with steel chain in hand and stood by Dundee. Idol said Hart talks out both sides of his mouth but it's clear by his actions he made his decision about what horse he wants pulling the First Family cart and the Universal Heartthrob is second to nobody. Idol told Bill Dundee he has no reason to trust Austin Idol, but he offered to stand in Bill's corner to make sure Jimmy or Ox Baker didn't get involved. Dundee warily agreed but warned that if he gets double crossed there will be hell to pay.
Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony beat Frogman LeBlanc.Nothing to this match at all, as Anthony won in two moves: a face rake followed by a powerful body slam (ch C), and pin. Anthony walked over and told Lance he doesn't get paid by the hour. He continued by stating that there's a lot going on around here lately, but Dundee, Mantell, and everyone else better not overlook Tony Anthony or they may pay with their careers. Dangerous Dan Spivey defeated PG-13.Okay, that was interesting. It wasn't even a long match either. PG-13 started with a double bulldog from behind at the bell, then Wolfie went for a gut wrench that was blocked and countered by a gut wrench from Spivey. Spivey went for a cover but JC tried to interfere, was stopped and tossed out of the ring, then Dangerous Dan used a POWER BOMB on Wolfie for the pin. After the match JC grabbed the hubcap and hit Spivey over the back of the head with it from behind. PG-13 went on to use a spike piledriver onto the hubcap on Spivey to completely incapacitate him (feud table roll of "3" resulting in a two card injury). After Spivey was helped to the back Randy Rose walked out to introduce his NEW tag team partner, Dr Tom Prichard. Tom said collectively they are known as Ravishing Desire and promised they'd go through Scott Taylor and Brian Christopher tonight and win the tag team championship. Ravishing Desire defeated Christopher and Taylor when Rose pinned Taylor.Rose and Prichard worked well as a team. Better than I expected because I didn't figure them in to actually win! Anyway, Prichard ran cover for Rose while he used the ROSE BOMB on Taylor for the pin after about five minutes of action. Lance said it looks like the semi-finals for the tag team championship are set as last week's winner the Rock N Roll Express will face Adrian Street and Eddie Gilbert and this week's winners will face off when Ravishing Desire go against...presumably Dan Spivey. Lance added that he thinks there's going to need to be a decision on that because he can't see one man being able to lay claim to the tag team championship by himself. * Sputnik Monroe won by disqualification over Fabulous Jackie Fargo.Fargo can't seem to help himself from getting disqualified here! A really solid brawl of a match that once again got out of control on the floor, forcing the referee to disqualify Fargo. Superstar Bill Dundee defeated Chick Donovan to defend the Southern title. Austin Idol held up his end of the deal and kept Jimmy Hart and Ox from getting involved, allowing Dundee to use the SUPERSTAR BOMB to get the pin. After the bout Dundee said Idol surprised him by being a stand up guy this time. He thanked Idol and Austin said he doesn't need thanks, all he needs is a title shot down the line once he's done dealing with Ox Baker. Dundee agreed and the two shook hands to end the show.
