CWA Wrestling! w/the great Lance Russell Lance opened the show and Eddie Gilbert tried to join the broadcast team but was informed that, due to what happened last week with him and Adrian Street brutally attacking Brad Armstrong and Tracy Smothers, Eddie Marlin has determined that Gilbert is no longer on the broadcast team and has been moved to the active roster, where he'll have to pay for what he did when SMothers and Armstrong come for revenge. Gilbert was fuming, but Jackie Fargo came out and told him to get lost before he has another problem to add to his collection. Lance and Fargo talked about the altercation last week between Fargo and Billy Wicks. Fargo said he will say it again, he's a pro wrestler and not a sportsman and he never asked Wicks to get involved in his match with Sputnik Monroe. Lance said the two men have agreed to face each other in the ring later this evening and hopefully they can settle their differences tonight. Chick Donavon (w/Jimmy Hart) defeated Jim Jamison via FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.Donavon once again wasted no time and put away Jamison with his finsiher, the FIGURE FOUR. Jimmy Hart came over to tell Lance he was so proud to have a new member of the First Family that won't embarrass him like Lanny Poffo did with his recent losing streak. Lanny Poffo entered the scene and said he's been nothing but a team player, but it was HART who tried to interfere in his match and backfired to cost him the match. Donovan stepped up, but Dirty White Boy came out and told Jimmy his money was good last week and he delivered by beating Dutch Mantell, so if Hart can pony up the cash again Tony Anthony will be glad to take out the trash one more time and take down Lanny Poffo. HArt said "it's a deal" and Lanny jumped in the ring to await the challenge. Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony beat Lanny Poffo with the BUCKSNORT BLASTER.Lanny took over right away and nearly got the pin after the SKY DROP, but Jimmy Hart jumped on the apron to distract Lanny. Hart dropped his cane into the ring and Anthony used it to drop Poffo and go on to win with the BLASTER. PG-13 came out making fun of Scott Taylor and Brian Christopher stemming from their confrontation last week. BC and Scotty ran out and attacked and the match was underway. Scott Taylor and Brian Christopher defeated PG-13 in a four star match when Brian pinned JC.Great action, back and forth with neither team able to establish control for long until PG-13 tossed Scotty out of the ring and took over. Brian made a timely pin save and Taylor was able to make the tag so Brian could come in and hit the TOP ROPE LEGDROP for the pin. Lance welcomed Superstar Dundee back after a few weeks off following his stunning loss to Ox Baker for the Southern title. Dundee said Ox tried to take him out, but you can't keep him down. Dundee noted that the big PRO WRESTLING USA show is coming up in Baltimore and he wants to represent CWA as the Southern champion, but first that means Ox has to actually show up again to defend it. Jimmy Hart came out once again and said Ox is on a well earned vacation but he'll be back to defend the belt next week. Dundee said he wants his rematch, but Hart asked what Dundee has to offer since "he lost and he's old news". Dundee said if he can't beat Ox next week then he IS old news and he'll packs his bags and leave the area. Hart laughed like a maniac and readily agreed.
Superstar Bill Dundee defeated Frogman LeBlanc with the SUPERSTAR DROP.Jimmy Hart lingered around the ring and tried to taunt Dundee, but Superstar could not be deterred and beat LeBlanc with relative ease. Sputnik Monroe appeared on the scene and told Lance Russell he's going to be sitting ringside to watch "those two idiots" Jackie Fargo and Billy Wicks beat each other up, then when they're done he'll pick apart the bones and beat them both again. Billy Wicks won by disqualification over Jackie Fargo.Wicks was dominating early with his superior wrestling ability, but Fargo overpowered and took over. Fargo tossed Wicks out of the ring and hit him with a chair to get disqualified. Following the match Sputnik Monroe ran over and attacked the fallen Wicks while Fargo argued with the referee in the ring. Fargo noticed what was going on and ran out to chase Sputnik away. Meanwhile, Wicks began to recover and when Fargo turned around this time it was Wicks who decked Fargo with a big punch as the show went off the air.
note: if I had not made it clear already, my fictional Pro Wrestling USA coalition is my version of JCP, AWA, and CWA. And they'll all get along quite nicely in the game world where I control the show! The first supercard will mainly feature these three promotions, but I will be putting a match or two from my other "background" territories in there too.

AWA ALL STAR WRESTLING
w/ Larry Nelson Larry Nelson began the show with special in-ring interview with Stan "The Lariat" Hansen. Hansen said Bockwinkel wanted him to fight Bob Backlund to get a title shot, but Backlund's down south getting choked out by some giant goof wrapped in toilet paper being managed by the devil, so he supposed he doesn't have an opponent tonight. BRUISER BRODY made his way down the aisle and BACK into the ring of the AWA. Brody said he and Hansen have been partners and opponents plenty of times in Japan, but if he can get a NWA world title shot by beating Stan tonight, then sign him up. Hansen he ain't the championship committee but he sure doesn't duck a good fight, so they can go in the back and get it signed right now. Playboy Buddy Rose (w/Sherri Martel) defeated Jake Milliman after the INSIDE BACKBREAKER. Rose wasted no time putting away The Milkman, much to the delight of Sherri, who was happy to see one of her men on the winning side for a change.
Back in the studio, Larry Nelson talked about the situation brewing between the Irwins and the OTHER so-called Long Riders from down south, Ron Bass and Black Bart. He said Bass and Bart sent a tape of a recent match from Virginia and we see that match coming up. In a bout taped in Virginia, The Long Riders (Outlaw Ron Bass and Black Bart) defeated Mike Jackson and Keith Steinborn. Bass and Bart had a highlight reel type of match, just beating up the opponents before Bart got the pin on Steinborn with their TEXAS SPIKE tag team finisher. The Trooper won by disqualification over Steve Regal when Larry Zbyszko interferred to break up THE BIG PINCH. The heated situation between Larry Z and Trooper contiunes to escalate. This time Trooper had the match seemingly won when Larry Z ran down and attacked from behind. The two traded punches and spilled out to the floor where it took several referees and wrestlers to break them up. Larry Z spoke with Larry Nelson at ringside after the pull apart. He said it's time for them to step into the ring so Trooper can learn what an amateur he really is compared to a Living Legend. Back in the locker room area, The Trooper was stopped by AWA announcer Ken Resnick. Ken said back in the arena Larry Z had just challenged Trooper to a match and wanted his response. Trooper said everyone knows what his response is: let's do it! The Crusher defeated Butcher Vachon with the stomach claw. This was, of course, a brawl more than a match. In the end Crusher won with relative ease. During the match the camera focused several times on a man in the front row wearing a white mask with a black "x" on the forehead. Once the bout was over the mystery man got up and walked away. Bruiser Brody won by disqualification over Stan Hansen. A great match that of course ended up out of the ring. They were fighting all the way around the ring when Stan grabbed his bullrope and cowbell from the corner and used it to hit Brody and draw the disqualification.
After the match Brody, bleeding from the forehead, stood in the ring with mic in hand and said that didn't resolve anything as far as he's concerned and he wants another match with the AWA referees getting out of the way and letting them fight. No disqualifacation, no countout, and to the winner goes the NWA title match at Pro Wrestling USA in Baltimore.

World Championship Wrestlingw/Tony and David Tony and David opened the show talking about the situation last week when Bob Backlund was attacked by...a Mummy? David said as a result of the attack it looks like Bob will miss the Pro Wrestling USA event. NWA champion NICK BOCKWINKEL and manager BOBBY The BRAIN HEENAN arrived on the scene and Heenan made fun of Backlund's predicament. Nick said it looked like the list of potential challengers had been reduced to one in Stan Hansen when US CHAMPION TOMMY RICH showed up to dispute that. He said he doesn't understand why Heenan and Bockwinkel think they're the championship committee now, but as far as he's concerned he's the US champion and that makes him the number one contender. Rich challenged Nick to face him for the title and Nick balked. Heenan took over and said Nick could face Rich TONIGHT--in a non-title match. BUT, if Rich loses he's out of the running for a title match at the Pro Wrestling USA supershow in Baltimore. Tommy accepted without hesitation. Magnum TA pinned Randy Mulkey after a pair of dropkicks.Mulkey offered little opposition and Magnum got the easy win. After the match Tony and David spoke to Magnum. He said his beef with the Russians is on pause for just a moment because he thinks Don Kernodle has a surprise waiting for the Koloffs and can hold down the fort for a while, but right now he's going to turn his attention to a big goof and his devil manager, because what this mummy did attacking Bob Backlund from behind can't go unpunished. He said he's interested in seeing just how tough this guy is when he's fighting someone face to face. Kharis The Mummy (w/Sinister Minister) defeated George South.South did not go down without a fight and took the Mummy down to one knee at one point. Minister looked like he was about to intervene but his mummy shrugged off South's offense and got the win with his MAGICAL MUMMY FOREARM. After the match Mummy was about to lock in a two handed choke from behind on South when Magnum TA entered the ring. Mummy stood toe to toe with Magnum but Sinister Minister ordered the mummy to back away and led him back to the locker room. Raging Bull Manny Fernandez defeated Jerry Brisco.Fernandez was, as his nickname implies, raging going into this match with one of Jimmy Valiant's allies. Brisco worked the leg early but Manny took over and got the win with a knee drop off the second rope and the FLYING BURRITO. Curiously, JJ Dillon was not at ringside for the bout and the masked man Charlie Brown did not show up either. Ivan Koloff led his charges Nikita and Redd Dogg to the interview area. Koloff said this American fool Don Kernodle has agreeed to face them in a tag team match tonight and he does not even have a partner. Ivan said he and Redd Dogg will dismantle this so-called "Pride Of The Carolinas" and prove the superiority of the Russian athlete once again. The trio went to the ring to await Kernodle. Don Kernodle showed up at the interview area next and said he DID have a partner, but not just any partner. He made a call up north and brought back his GREATEST tag team partner and someone who has a very special interest in putting an end to all of this Russian rhetoric. With that the Marine Hymn began to play and SGT SLAUGHTER joined Don and rushed the ring. Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle defeated Ivan Koloff and Redd Dogg (w/Nikita) after the ATOMIC BOMB on Dogg. The fans were on their feet for this one as Sarge and Don whipped the Russians all over the place early in the match. Dogg and Ivan got their moment to shine later and had Don in trouble until he made the tag out to Slaughter. After some more fighting Sarge and Kernodle used their finisher on Redd Dogg for the win. Following the match Sgt Slaughter recited the pledge of allegiance and led the fans in a big "USA!" chant. NWA champion Nick Bockwinkel (w/Bobb Heenan) beat Tommy Rich in a non title match.Rich had Nick pinned TWICE and both times Bobby made the critical save. The first came after a THESZ PRESS when Heenan jumped on the apron and distracted the referee from making the count. This epic, four star match ended when Rich AGAIN had it won after a piledriver, but Nick rolled over near the ropes and Heenan put a foreign object in his hand. When Rich picked Bockwinkel up to try to lock in the sleeper for the win Bockwinkel floored him with a KO punch with the knuckle dusters and got the pin (that Bobby Heenan manager card is no joke when his guy has a title!). A jubilant Heenan went over to Tony and David after the match and said everyone saw the champ prove it once again: Nick Bockwinkel is the best of all time and it doesn't matter who challenges for the title in Baltimore because the outcome will be the same yet again.

CWA Wrestlinglive from Memphis w/ Lance Russell Lance did the show open and said the main event is a big title match with Superstar Dundee and Ox Baker, with Dundee promising to leave the area if he can't win. We'll also see a rematch between Dutch Mantell and Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony. Dutch came out and said Tony Anthony thinks he can bull rush the territory and take over, but he hasn't got the element of surprise on his side this time and he's about to learn a harsh lesson later tonight. Chick Donovan (w/Jimmy Hart) defeated Leif Cassidy via FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.Leif and Chick started the match with something of a dance off, then Chick took over. Leif came back and had Donovan in real trouble until Chick turned the tables and went on to get the win with his figure four leglock. Jimmy Hart, Chick Donovan, and southern champ Ox Baker joined Lance after the match. Hart said his First Family is taking over wrestling and soon they'll be unstoppable. Suddenly Austin Idol made his return after several weeks and said he sees while he was touring the world Ox Baker decided to step in and keep the title warm for him, but he's back and it's time to hand it over. Ox said if Idol wants it he can take it in the ring. Jimmy Hart stepped between them and backed Ox away. Meanwhile, Chick got in Idol's face and got slapped for his efforts. Idol said he doesn't know who that goof is, but Jimmy Hart knows full well who Austin Idol is and what the deal was, but now he can consider it broken. Eddie Gilbert and Exotic Adrian Street defeated David Johnson and Jim Jamison.Street and Gilbert overhwlemed the opposition en route to a lop sided win. Street pinned Johnson with the CRUCIFIX. After the bell Brad Armstrong and Tracy Smothers hit the ring and attacked Street and Gilbert. Street paired off with Smothers as Gilbert and Armstrong traded blows. The fight spilled out of the ring and went all over the building as fans screamed and screeched while security tried to break it up. They eventually made their way out of the side door and brawled into the parking lot before order could be restored. Lance tried to get the show back on track and welcomed Billy Wicks to the broadcast area. They went over the recent three way dispute between Wicks, Monroe, and Fargo. Billy said they are three different types of personality and they all clash in different ways, but he's not going to stand for the nonsense of Sputnik Monroe OR Jackie Fargo and he wants to see them both here next week to try to find a way to settle it. Dutch Mantell defeated Tony Anthony via disqualification.A wild bout ended up outside of the ring as you'd expect, where Anthony grabbed a steel chair. He was about to bring said chair down on the skull of Dutch until LANNY POFFO ran up from behind and snatched it out of his hands. The referee disqualified Anthony for his intended actions. Meanwhile Dutch went over and grabbed his trusty whip to scare Dirty White Boy away. In the broadcast area Lance talked with Lanny Poffo. He said Jimmy Hart claims his stable of wrestlers is a family, but he doesn't treat them as such. He treats them like cattle to be used and sent to slaughter. But there IS one family in wrestling who are not to be messed with, and Lanny Poffo is a blood member. So if Jimmy Hart wants to rally his troops and mercenaries like Tony Anthony then there is a family that's only a phone call away to deal with them. Lanny walked away and PG-13 came out to complain about what happened last week. JC Ice was talking A LOT when apparently Dangerous Dan Spivey had heard enough, came out and grabbed him by the head, and threw him into the ring for the next match. Dangerous Dan Spivey defeated JC Ice with a POWER BOMB.Wolife distracted Spivey long enough for JC to get some cheap shots in on offense, but mostly it was Spivey tossing JC around the ring until the pin. Wolfie attacked Spivey after the bell, but Spivey shrugged it off and POWER BOMBed Wolife onto JC Ice to walk away the emphatic winner. Jimmy Hart showed up in a panic. He said Austin Idol has it all wrong, Lanny Poffo can't take a hint and get lost, and now he's got to go to the ring for the title match between Ox Baker and Bill Dundee. Austin Idol appeared again and said he doesn't have anything wrong and Hart isn't going to that ring for the title match, he's going to the back to talk contracts with the Universal Hearthrob. Hart protested, but Idol insisted that if Ox is championship material he can handle it himself, then dragged Jimmy away by the collar. Superstar Bill Dundee defeated Ox Baker to win back the Southern Title.Ox had the overwhelming size and strength advantage, but Dundee was much quicker. In the end quickness and stamina won out as Dundee hit the SUPERSTAR BOMB to get the pin and win his title back. As the crowd went wild in celebration Dundee spoke with Lance. Superstar said he told everyone he wanted to go to Baltimore and represent the territory with honor as the southern champion and, with the fans behind him all the way, that's exactly what he's going to do. He thanked everyone, kissed the belt, and the fans chanted for their hero as the show went off the air.

Did you ever have a show where NOTHING went right? Where the wrong guy wins almost every match and none of the storylines can advance the way you planned? THIS is that show!AWA WRESTLINGLarry Nelson did the show open and talked up the HUGE main event with world title implications when Stan Hansen has agreed to meet Bruiser Brody in a no disqualification match. He also said we'll be seeing the return of Alexis Smirnoff and he has promised that he's not coming to the AWA alone. But right now, the opening bout with Doug Somers in a must win situation or else Sherri Martel has threatened to make changes to her stable of wrestlers.
Pretty Boy Doug Somers (w/Sherri) beat Ric McCord via pinfall.director's commentary: okay, you know I wanted Doug to lose here to cause a stir, and McCord's card is good enough to do it since Doug is fairly poor in singles. But Somers looked like championship material here as he picked apart the Ricster without any help from Sherri and got the pin with his finisher. The Texas Hangmen beat The Flying Redheads after the HANGMEN BACKBREAKER on Lyons. This was one that could have gone either way and I'm almost happy the Hangmen won to shake up the tag teams a little. Very good match. Bastein came in to try to save his partner in the end, but was cut off by Psycho as Killer got the win. In a studio interview THE CRUSHER and THE BARON spoke about their ongoing problems with the Vachons. Typical entertaining fare from the two personalities. Then Larry Nelson asked Crusher about the masked man who sat ringside for his match with Buthcer last week. Crusher said he doesn't know who that big turkey neck is, but as long as he stays where he belongs he can wear ladies panties on his head and draw any letter in the alphabet on them. Alexis Smirnoff (w/Boris Zhukov) beat Jumpin Jim Brunzell after the HEART PUNCH.Director's commentary: Unfortunately Jim couldn't get much going here. I was really pulling for the Brunzell win and Russian attack, but it didn't go that way. In the end Brunzell saves face by getting distracted by Boris at ringside right before falling to the Heart Punch, but in reality it was a clean pin roll. In a ringside interview after the match Smirnoff said Boris and he have arrived back in the AWA because a very wealthy oil tycoon from the middle east told them the AWA was about to have a tournament to crown new tag team champions and the Sheik has invested in them to win it all. Larry Nelson tried to pry more info out of Alexis, but he waved him off and the duo left the ringside area. After they left, a recovered and upset Jim Brunzell made his way over. He said the Russians have proven themselves here before and tonight we see they can win a handicapped match, but let's see how they can do in the ring when it's two on two. Brunzell said maybe he needs to find a partner himself and go after those tag team titles, if only to stop Smirnoff and Zhukov from getting them. Before the next bout, the mysterious masked man in the white mask with the black "X" on the forehead showed up to sit at ringside (gee, wonder who HE is? )Larry Zbyszko defeated The Trooper after a PILEDRIVER.Larry spent a lot of the match messing with the top turnbuckle, trying to pull it off so he could use the exposed steel as a weapon against Trooper. He eventually succeeded and used the exposed corner to his advantage over the clean fighting Trooper en route to a fan disappointing win. After the loss Trooper spoke with Larry Nelson. Trooper said Zbyszko set HOUSE RULES, so he'll use them (director's commentary: I'm using the hometown advantage rules in the Ringside Companion to bulk Trooper up a little). Trooper vowed not to be caught off guard next time and he will not let the fans down again. Back in the studio, Ken Resnik interviewed NWA world champion Nick Bockwinkel and his manager Bobby The Brain Heenan. They talked about the main event this evening and the title shot at Pro Wrestling USA in Baltimore. Heenan said it's all coming up roses for the champ: first some stiff with a Charmin sponsorship choked the life out of Backlund and now Hansen and Brody are going to beat each other silly so Bockwinkel can pick apart the bones of the winner in Baltimore. Nick said that's just how it goes when you're the best: skill takes you to the top and the rest just falls into place. They concluded by Nick saying they'd be watching from ringside to see who the unsuccessful challenger will be in Baltimore.Stan The Lariat Hansen defeated Bruiser Brody after THE LARIAT in a no disqualification match. At least this match didn't disappoint. They brawled all over the place and Brody did in fact kick out of the LARIAT on two occasions before being stopped by a third later in the match. After the match Heenan and Bockwinkel got in the ring to confront a bloody Stan Hansen as a trembling Larry Nelson held the microphone and hoped to not be caught in the middle of any violence. Nick congratulated Hansen on the win, but said all it proves is that he's as tough as he is stupid. Because there's no way he's going into Baltimore at full capacity after all that. Hansen, brandishing his bullrope and getting right in Nick's face, said he doesn't have to be at one hundred percent because whatever he's got left is good enough to become the next NWA world champion.
..................................................
A special update from Gordon Solie in the PRO WRESTLING USA control center.
As we careen into the home stretch leading up to the big event in Baltimore where the CWA, AWA, and Jim Crockett Promotions will come together to promote an event unlike any other, let's look at the matches that have officially been signed.
- Scott and Bill Irwin, The Long Riders will face Ron Bass and Black Bart, The Long Riders in a battle for the use of the name. The fans have no love lost for either of these rule breaking teams, so it will be interesting to see who the crowd sides with in Baltimore.
- Magnum TA will collide with Kharis The Mummy, the unknown commodity led by Sinister Minister James Mitchell. Magnum looks to avenge Bob Backlund here and it will be interesting to see what the Mummy has to offer against stiffer competition than what he's seen thus far in the ring.
- Once again Southern champion Superstar Bill Dundee will go against a member of Jimmy Hart's First Family Chick Donovan in a non title match.
- The NWA world tag team title will be on the line as champions The Moondogs with Mr Wonderful Rock Riddle face the challenge of Steve Keirn and Stan Lane, The Fabulous Ones. What role, if any, Riddle's former tag team partner Lenny Lane will play in the match remains to be seen. - The main event is now set, as NWA world champion Nick Bockwinkel will face Stan The Lariat Hansen in a title match. Bockwinkel had a very controversial win over US champion Tommy Rich to eliminate Rich from this big event and Hansen overcame Brody to earn his spot, so it's either man's ball game in a main event worthy match in any arean around the world.
All of this and more coming to Baltimore as part of the PRO WRESTLING USA super show.

Like using the hometown rules for Trooper. I think it works nicely when you need to give a wrestler a little bit of a plus against an opponent. To have Chick officially would be great but I'll enjoy him and Dundee regadless. Go Fabs.
Nice win by Hansen.

World Championship Wrestling with your hosts as always, Tony Schivone and David Crockett Tony and David opened the show and were joined by an emotional US champion Tommy "Wildfire" Rich. Tommy said everyone saw he had Nick Bockwinkel beat TWICE and both times Bobby Heenan got involved to make sure his man won the match. Now Tommy is out of the Pro Wrestling USA supershow in Baltimore, but he's going to defend the US title tonight and keep on doing what he does best: winning for the people and staying on that path to the NWA world title. The Long Riders, Black Bart and Ron Bass defeated Randy and Bill Mulkey. The area debut of Bass and Bart was a dominant win over the unfortunate Mulkey boys. Bart got the pin after a Texas Stampede. Bass and Bart joined Tony after the match. Tony mentioned that they've been dominant all over the southern United States as the Long Riders, but their here now and ready to head to Baltimore to attempt to claim the name once and for all agains the Minnesota version of the Long Riders, Bill and Scott Irwin. Bass said there's no reason to put up with a couple of hockey players from up north dressing like them, carrying a bullwhip like them, and claiming to be Long Riders. Bart said the only thing nice he can say about Scott and Bill Irwin is that they fight almost as dirty as him and Bass but that won't help them in Baltimore when all the fans will see that there's nothing like the real thing. A video recap was shown of the confrontation last week between Magnum TA and The Mummy. Sinister Minister James Mitchell came out to talk with David Crockett and said Magnum will soon learn the lesson his friend Bob Backlund did: you can't be the first on Kharis's path of destruction but you can always be next. David asked what the point of it all was and Mitchell laughed. Crockett jumped back as Mitchell said the point was that, just like in life, there is no point except total destruction. He concluded by warning that the Mummy is the biggest of his charges, but he's not necessarily the ONLY weapon at the disposal of the Church. Lenny Lane defeated Moondog Spot (w/Rock Riddle)One half of the tag team champions attempted to get rid of their manager's former partner Lane and almost succeeded. But late in the match Lenny got on the comeback trail and his MEMORY LANE. Rex and Riddle tried to get in the ring to break up the pin, but were stopped by Stan and Steve, The Fabulous Ones. After the match Stan and Steve were joined by Lenny at the commentary area. Stan said it's not going to be that easy for the Moondogs and Riddle. Steve said they know how Rock thinks thanks to Lenny Lane and they intned to use that inside intel to defeat the Moondogs in Baltimore. Lenny thanked Steve and "cousin Stan" for the save. Sgt Slaughter and Don Kernodle defeated Bill White and Charlie Fulton.White put up a fight, but Slaughter and Kernodle used the ATOMIC BOMB for the decisive win. Following the match Slaughter and Kernodle spoke with Tony. Sarge said he hears the Russians tucked tail and ran back to Moscow after last week but he knows they haven't heard the last from the Ruskies and they're ready to get in the ring with them again at any time. Tony asked, assuming the Russians have indeed left the area, what's next for the team. Sarge said the Moondogs and The Fabulous Ones are fighting over those tag team titles, but one team stands above all others as the next contenders and it's Sgt Slaughter and the Pride Of the Carolinas Don Kernodle. Charlie Brown From Out Of Town beat The Grappler (w/JJ Dillon).A hard fought contest saw Jimmy...Charlie come out on top after the BOOGIE WOOGIE ELBOW. After the bell Manny Fernandez tried to jump Charlie but was stopped by Wildfire Tommy Rich, leading riiiiight into the MAIN EVEEEEENT.... Wildfire Tommy Rich won by disqualification over Manny Fernandez in a US title match.Tommy had Manny on the rocks and Manny bailed out of the ring. Tommy gave chase and the fight was on. Manny lost his temper and grabbed a steel chair to use on Tommy for the disqualification. Charlie Brown ran right back out to get Manny away from the ring, as Fernandez and JJ Dillon went over to talk with Tony and David. Manny said he's coming to Baltimore to rip that mask off of Charlie Brown and then he's coming back to Atlanta to rip the US title off the waist of Tommy Rich and there's not a thing anyone can do about it.

Thanks as always for the comments, Troy and CC. CWA WRESTLINGw/ the one and only Lance Russell Lance opened the show and said tonight we're on our way to crowning NEW Southern Tag Team Champions with the first two matches in the tournament. He also noted the big show coming up in Baltimore where Southern champion Bill Dundee will be representing the region in a non-title match with Chick Donovan. That brought out Austin Idol who said it seems like Jimmy Hart forgot about who the lynchpin of the First Family is supposed to be while Idol was away touring the country. Jimmy Hart entered the scene and again did the "we're all family, we work together" routine. Idol said if they're family then sometimes family fights and tonight he wants to fight Chick Donovan to show the pecking order in the family. Jimmy pleaded with him but Austin said if it doesn't happen then he walks for good. Dangerous Dan Spivey won by disqualification over Wolfie D (w/JC Ice)JC and Wolfie basically worked as a tag team in this singles match. JC interferred every chance he got as Wolfie distracted the ref, but they still couldn't keep Spivey off balance for long. Finally Wolfie rolled out of the ring and Spivey gave chase. Dangerous Dan was cut off by JC and a shot to the face with the hubcap. The two kicked and stomped Spivey until he managed to grab a sledgehammer from under the ring and chase them away. After the match Spivey said if they want to fight as a team then they can meet him next week in a tag team match. In fact, he said he wants to talk to Eddie Marlin about making it part of the tag team title tournament if PG-13 has the guts. Lance asked who his partner would be and SPivey roared "who said I need a partner?" Dan left and Lance segued to a pair of guys who epitomize tag team wrestling, welcoming Ricky and Robert, The Rock N Roll Express to the territory. Ricky said they are there for one reason only and that's to face the best teams the NWA has to offer and become the next southern tag team champions. Their scheduled opponents Marty and Leif, The New Rockers came out ot shake hands. Leif said they hear great things about the Express, how they patterned themselves after the Rockers and it will be a pleasure to share a ring with them next. Marty said of course it will be a pleasure to beat RIcky and Robert, but hopefully they can be good sports and go jam with them later after the show. Rock N Roll Express beat The New Rockers when Ricky pinned Marty. When the corny smiling and fist pumping of the New Rockers pre-match routine ends, the wrestling begins. A great tag team match between two highly skilled teams broke out, with the Rockers nearly picking up the win on a few occassions. In the end it was Ricky with a cross body off the top rope on Marty for the pin as Robert kept Leif from breaking up the pin. Jimmy Hart and Chick Donovan went over to talk to Lance. Jimmy was frantic, saying Idol doesn't understand what he's doing and he doesn't want to see his men fight. CHick said it's okay because Austin just feels intimidated because Jimmy went out and found a better version of him while Idol was away. If he wants a fight he'll get one he won't forget. Jimmy fussed over Chick and told him not to get hurt and to try not to hurt Idol too badly either. Austin Idol won by disqualification over Chick Donovan when Ox Baker interferred.Chick more than held his own in this "battle of the figure fours" as both men locked in their similar finishers on different occasions but were unable to secure the win. After some back and forth it looked like Jimmy slid his cane into the ring for Chick to use, but Idol blocked and locked in the LAS VEGAS LEGLOCK once again. Chick was on the verge of quitting when OX BAKER ran in and put the boots to Idol to draw the disqualification. Lance called Jimmy over again to get some answers and Jimmy swore Ox did that on his own. He chastised Baker and said he didn't order him to do that. Ox said nobody orders Ox Baker around when it comes to pride, and Austin Idol tried to make a fool of him which is a big mistake. Ox warned that the price of that mistake is making an enemy of the Great Heart Puncher and that can be very hazardous to your health. Exotic Adrian Street and Eddie Gilbert won by disqualification over Brad Armstrong and Tracy Smothers.Total action from bell to bell in this lengthy grudge match. Eddie kept pulling a foreign object out of his trunks and using it to bludgeon Brad. Eventually Brad was bleeding profusely but managed to tag out. Tracy took the battle to the floor where he grab the object from Eddie and used it in plain sight of the referee to get DQ'd. Smothers continued to attack Street and Gilbert with the object and the teams again fought all over and eventually out of the arena. Lance told the fans we've got a lot of volatile situations between a lot of volatile personalities around here lately and something has to be done to settle it before people get hurt permanently. Which brings up the subject of three men who have a triangle grudge against each other and need a way to settle it. Matchmaker Eddie Marlin brought out Billy Wicks, Sputnik Monroe, and Jackie Fargo. He said they've been going back and forth for the last several weeks, getting disqualified and getting in each others matches and it needs to end. So he's calling for a round robin tournament with the three, no disqualifications and nobody gets interferes or they are fired. All three were ready to go and Marlin did a coin toss to decide the first match, which went ot Wicks and Monroe. Billy Wicks defeated Sputnik Monroe with a rear toehold. Monroe wasted no time going to work on his adversary, choking him on the ropes and using the NECKBREAKER for a near fall in the opening minutes. Wicks fought back and got rough himself before locking in the DOUBLE WRISTLOCK. Monroe made it to the ropes to break, but Wicks pulled him away and locked in a read toehold (ch G, but come on, Wicks ain't using a Tombstone piledriver) to get the submission victory.
