WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING! w/Tony and David Tony and David opened the show and talked up the HUGE main event with Wildfire Tommy Rich defending the US title against Nikita Koloff. Lenny Lane defeated Keith Steinborn after MEMORY LANE.Lenny toyed with Steinborn until Keith came back with some forearm smashes in retaliation. Lane shut it down and won with his signature move. Thunderbolt Patterson defeated The Grappler after a HEAD BUTT.Hard hitting, brawling bout that saw Patterson score the win after a waistlock atomic drop followed up with the head butt and pin. Following the match Patterson spoke with Tony and David. Patterson said his friend Jimmy Valiant is down but not out. He's gone back to the neighborhood to reconnect with his street people and he's coming back bigger and badder than ever. In the meantime, Patterson continued, there's a new threat about to hit the ring and together they're going after Fernandez, Dillon, and his entire stable. David wanted to know more but T-bolt told him it can wait until next week. The Fabulous Ones defeated Randy and Bill Mulkey. The Mulkey brothers provided very little resisance. In fact, they got no offense as the Fabs breezed to the win. Steve pinned Bill after the FABULOUS FOREARM. The Fabulous Ones were interviewed post match. They are here for one reason only and that's to take the tag team titles from the Moondogs, a team they've gone to war with in the past. Steve and Stan were interrupted when Lenny Lane showed up. He wanted to make sure everyone saw his "big win" earlier in the show and said he was happy to see "cousin Stan". Stan clarified that they have the same last name, but they aren't really cousins. Lenny said family trees can be funny, so who knows. Steve politely asked Lenny what he was doing out there during their interview time. Lenny said he's the former tag team partner of the Moondogs' manager Rock Riddle, and Rock wants to "big league" him now that he's a manger of champions, so maybe he can help the Fabs when they meet the Moondogs. Steve and Stan patted him on the shoulder and gave a firm "we'll think about it" before leaving. Recap video of the action from Memphis when Magnificent Muraco attacked Bob Backlund at the behest of Bobby Heenan and champion Nick Bockwinkel, followed by a taped interview with the champion and Heenan. They laughed at how Muraco handled Backlun and then Nick talked about his latest title defense over Dundee and thanked the top notch officiating by the referee, calling the match before permanent damage could be done to Superstar Dundee. Heenan said Backlund wouldn't be so lucky because Muraco has been paid handsomely and is going to finish the job he started. Magnificent Muraco defeated Mike Jackson after a REVERSE PILEDRIVER. Jackson put up a good fight, but Muraco used to Asiatic Spikes to soften him up for the reverse piledriver and pin.
Wildfire Tommy Rich beat Nikita Koloff to defend the United States Championship. Uncle Ivan confronted Rich on his way to the ring, giving Nikita a chance to attack from behind and the US champ hard into the corner post. Nikita pressed the offense, giving Tommy no room for a comeback. It looked like Nikita would easily secure the title from the champion, who could offer no offense. Eventually Nikita made the mistake of throwing Rich inot the turnbuckles and charging in. Tommy moved and Nikita hit the corner hard and fell out of the ring. Rich followed and returned the earlier favor by running NIkita into the corner post. NIkita rolled back into the ring and Rich slapped on the WILDFIRE SLEEPER. Nikita tried to reach the ropes to break, but Rich transitioned into a school boy pin for the win (Dreaded SNAKE EYES! And the rollup because I ain't having Nikita lose clean to a sleeper, that's why!). Tommy celebrated his victory with Tony and David after the match as Ivan and Nikita argued with the referee all the way back down the aisle, claiming Nikita's right shoulder was up before the three count. Tommy said they can argue and complain all they want, but the results remain the same. Rich vowed to never let some "commie *******" take the United States title on his watch and whether you're from this country or not, if you don't love it you can get the hell out! The crowd goes wild. Fade out.......and then........

Memphis rasslin' with Lance Russell and Eddie Gilbert Lance did the show open and welcomed southern champion Superstar Bill Dundee. Bill talked about his disappointment about what happened in his title match with Nick Bockwinkel but he's down and not out. JIMMY HART came out to tell him he's not only down but by the end of the night he's out because OX BAKER is coming to take that title Superstar doesn't deserve. Dundee told him to bring it and he'd see them later tonight. Exotic Adrian Street defeated Frogman LeBlanc.Frogman got a few moves in, but Street wore him down the with cobra hold and pinned him with the CRUCIFIX. Eddie Gilbert was talking trash about Brad Armstrong once again when Brad came out for his match. Brad said he can talk about or be about it, and we all know little Eddie doesn't have the guts to do anything but talk. Randy Rose beat Brad Armstrong after interference by Eddie Gilbert.Brad had things going his way when the action spilled to the floor. Eddie Gilbert ran to the ring and hit Armstrong with the ring bell while Rose had the referee distracted. Eddie tossed Brad back in the ring to allowe Rose to get the pin. Gilbert left the studio after the decision and Jackie Fargo came out to talk to Lance about the injustice. He was interrupted by the returning Sputnik Monroe . Monroe said Fargo runs around like he's the guiding light around here, but he's nothing but a grand standing fool. Words were exchanged and fists followed as the two brawled to the ring. Sputnik Monroe pinned Jackie Fargo after a neckbreaker. What a wild brawl. They fought all over the ring and ringside area but it was finally Monroe coming out on top with the neckbreaker and pin. PG-13 came out for their challenge match as set up last week. They were shocked by the debut of LEIF CASSIDY AND MARTY JANNETTY, THE NEW ROCKERS. PG-13 held on to defeat The New Rockers when JC pinned Leif. The Rockers poured on the offense, but PG-13 were cagey enough to overcome and get the win. Fans were not at all behind the Rockers, as they were nearly as annoying as PG-13. Ox Baker (w/Jimmy Hart) beat Superstar Bill Dundee to become the new Southern heavyweight champion.Dundee was still hurting from last week when he stepped in the ring with Baker. Ox got the advantage early and used the HEART PUNCH to stop Dundee with little fanfare and take the title. Jimmy Hart encouraged Ox to deliver the Heart Punch one more time after the bout, but DUTCH MATELL showed up with his bullwhip to chase Ox away. Dutch told Lance Russell that Ox tried to end his career with the Heart Punch and he wasn't about to sit and watch him do it to Dundee too. He said he's back and he's coming for Baker and the title.

Mothership time again w/Tony and David Tony Schiavone and David Crockett opened the show and BOB BACKLUND was interviewed. Bob said everyone saw what Muraco did in Memphis, and they saw how impressive he looked last week against an inferior opponent, but tonight is the night Bob Backlund gets his revenge and shows Heenan and Bockwinkel they can throw mercenaries in the way and they run but can't hide much longer. George South pinned Mike Jackson after a neckbreaker drop. A very solid opener between two undercard talents. South got the win, barely. After the bout both men were attacked by IVAN and NIKITA KOLOFF, with REDD DOGG watching from ringside. Nikita gave both men the RUSSIAN SICKLE and they went to speak with Tony and David. Ivan said Magnum TA and Tommy Rich had gotten away with typical American cheating for two straight weeks but this week their luck runs out. Lenny Lane defeated Joel Deaton with the MEMORY LANE.Lenny made quick work of his opponent this time and improved upon his winning streak agains lesser opponents. After the bell ROCK RIDDLE, manager of tag team champions The Moondogs, confronted his old partner Lenny. He said just because he gave Lenny the cold shoulder since he was so busy doesn't mean Lane can offer his strategic services to the Fabulous Ones in their effort to beat the champs. He reminded Lenny that he and Stan Lane just have the last name and aren't real cousins. Lenny said Riddle doesn't know that for sure and for sure doesn't know anything about Lenny Lane because he's the one who got The West Hollywood Blondes a tag team title shot and if Riddle had held up his end he's be one of the champs and not just managing them. This time it was Lane who walked away and left Riddle looking perplexed. Thunderbolt Patterson came out laughing and said bad luck couldn't happen to a worse guy than Riddle, but now was the time to introduce Jimmy Valiant's old buddy from the streets who is here to help take out JJ Dillon's army. Charlie Brown from Out Of Town beat Keith Steinborn by pinfall.Keith attacked at the masked man at the bell with punches but Charlie reversed and used a running elbow smash for the fifteen second win. An enraged JJ Dillon ran over to Tony and David while Patterson and the masked man Charlie Brown celebrated in the ring. He said anyone with eyes can see that's Jimmy Valiant and whatever psychosis Manny Fernandez knocked into him he sure can beat out of him too. The Koloffs won by disqualification over Tommy Rich and Magnum TA.Top flight tag team action ensued in this one. In the end the bout went to the floor where Rich stopped Ivan from using the chain on Magnum but instead used it himself to his both Koloffs and draw the disqualification. Bob Backlund won by disqualification over Don Muraco. An absolutely stellar main event. Muraco could not keep Backlund down after the REVERSE PILERDRIVER and tossed Backlund out of the ring. There he used the dreaded finsiher again on the floor to prompt the DQ. The show closed with Muraco grabbing the microphone from David Crockett and declaring himself the most dangerous man in wrestling. He said the NWA world champion and Bobby Heenan hired him to do a job and he will do it right. Referees and personnel tried to help Bob to his feet as the show went off the air, but he pushed them aside and eventually made it up on his own. And once again, after the show close. "He's coming. And only I can control him!" AWA WRESTLING w/Larry Nelson (the missing show...because I accidentally deleted it!)
Larry did the show intro from ringside and introduced newcomer THE TROOPER. Trooper said he's here to enforce the law and climb the ladder of success against the greatest competition. Nelson asked him about how he'd handle some of the rulebreakers in the area like the Vahcons and Larry Zbyszko. He said if they play by the rules so will he. But he's going to fight fire with fire when need be.
Larry Zbyszko beat Jake Milliman with a PILEDRIVER and had an altercation with Trooper after the bell. Larry won with ease and went to set up a second piledriver after the bell when Trooper rushed the ring and clotheslined Larry to get him off of Milliman. Trooper checked on the Milkman as Larry rolled out of the ring. Mr Electricity Steve Regal beat Ric McCord via Ft Lauderdale Leglock.
HIghly competitive match with Regal getting the win with his finisher.
The Trooper defeated Kenny Jay with the BIG PINCH, but was attacked by Larry Z after the bell.
Kenny Jay got in a little more offense then I'd have liked to see, but Trooper came on strong at the end to get the decisive win. Following the deicsion Larry Z attacked form behind and hit Trooper over the back of the head with a pair of nunchucks.
Larry Z went over to Larry Nelson at ringside and said this spudhead doesn't know what he got himself into and by the time the Living Legend is done he'll be back in the middle of nowhere writing parking tickets like the meter maid he is.
Stan "The Lariat" Hansen beat Pampero Firpo by pinfall after THE LARIAT.Rugged, but quick match with Hansen scoring the decisive pin. FOllowing the bout Hansen spoke with Larry Nelson at ringside. He said he's been a champion here, been a champion in Japan, ran over all of the competition that's been thrown his way, and it's time to take out Nick Bockwinkel and become the NWA world champion. Baron Von Raschke and The Crusher won by disqualification over The Vachons. Back and forth match from bell to bell until the action spilled to the floor, where Mad Dog hit Baron with a chair to draw the disqualification.

NWA World Championship Wrestling w/Tony and David Tony and David opened the show and welcomed out Bob Backlund. Bob was clearly still feeling the effects of the brutal attack by Don Muraco last week. He said doctors have advised him not to wrestle again this week, but sometimes you have to go against advice and follow your heart. He said he'd be in action later in a rematch with Muraco and when he's done there will be nobody to shield NWA world champion Nick Bockwinkel. Redd Dogg beat Randy Mulkey via pinfall. This went about how you'd expect. Randy tried some moves but got no positive results. Dogg put him down with a flying shoulder block. After the match Redd Dogg was joined by Ivan and Nikita for an interview. David Crockett said there seemed to be some tension in the camp of the Koloffs with Redd Dogg seemingly on the chopping block a few weeks ago. Ivan told David that everything was settled. He accounted well for himself against Magnum and would have won if Tommy Rick didn't interfere and he continues to steamroll lesser opponents. Tony asked if they'd like to address rivals US champ Tommy Rich and Magnum TA. Nikita stepped to the front and said "vy sobirayetesʹ idti vniz". NWA tag team champions The Moondogs (w/Rock Riddle) beat Joel Deaton and Keith Steinborn in a non title match.Deaton got some offense, but when he tagged outn it was all over. Rex pinned Steinborn after a throat drop on the ropes in just a few minutes. After the match Rock Riddle spoke with Tony and David. He said he doesn't know what Lenny Lane's problem is, but if he's not careful the Moondogs will settle it for him. Lenny came out and confronted Rock again. He said they could settle it themselves "right here and right now" if they stepped into the ring to face each other one on one. Riddle agreed to the match after whispering something to the Moondogs. Rex and Spot headed to the locker room and the bout began. Rock Riddle and Lenny Lane wrestled to a double countout.Nince back and forth action between the former partners in the opening minute. THe match quickly spilled to the floor where they exchanged blows until the referee was forced to count both men out of the ring and declare the bout a draw. Following the match The Moondogs ran out to attack Lenny, but they were cut off by The Fabulous Ones. The champs and would be challengers fought all over the place until they finally made their way back up the aisle and to the locker rooms. Thunderbolt Patterson, Gerry Brisco, and Charlie Brown came out to talk to Tony and David. Tony welcomed Brisco back to the area, then turned his focus to Charlie. He said Dillon and Fernandez have insisted he's Jimmy Valiant in disguise and asked him to prove himself. Charlie said he doesn't have a thing to prove except in the ring and the proof is in the puddnig, daddy. Spoiler, Masked Superstar, and Manny tried to jump the trio ahead of their upcoming match, but the good guys turned it around and headed for the ring in firm control of the fight. Thunderbolt Patterson, Gerry Brisco, and Charlie Brown beat Spoiler, Superstar, and Fernandez.A wild melee ensued, with Charlie pinning Spoiler after the BOOGIE WOOGIE ELBOW....er, THE GOOD GRIEF ELBOW..or something. In a pre-taped interview NWA champion Nick Bockwinkel and his manager Bobby Heenan spoke. Heenan said challengers are lining up all over the country, from Nashville to Minnesota where Stan Hansen is making waves, but the only constant is the world champion. Bock took over from there and said Backlund had his shot and failed, and Don Muraco has been paid handsomely to make sure Bob never gets another title shot. Bob Backlund defeated Don Muraco via pinfall after an ATOMIC DROP. This match played out really well. Muraco dominated most of the bout, beating up the clearly hurting Bob. Finally Bob had taken enough and came back with the ATOMIC DROP to win. Following the decision Bob spoke to Tony and David. He said the result will be the same no matter who Nick throws his way until they finally meet again for the NWA world title and Bob becomes the new chanpion.

CWA Memphis Rasslin Lance Russell and Eddie Gilbert, the hosts. Lance and Eddie welcomed fans and Lance said they'd see some exciting action today, including a big rematch between Jackie Fargo and Sputnik Monroe. Eddie said, speaking of rematches, he's going to personally step away from the broadcast position to watch Exotic Adrian Street's back when he goes against that no good Brad Armstrong. Lance was about to give him the business over that statement when Jimmy Hart appeared. Hart was upset Dutch Mantell tried to spoil the victory celebration of the NEW champion Ox Baker. Hart warned he has something in store for Dutch today, because he went out and brought back a man who is no stranger to Mantell to face him tonight in Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony. And while Tony is NOT a member of the First Family, there IS a new man in town and Jimmy Hart is pleased to introuduce him (and hopefully make people forget how poorly Lanny Poffo has performed lately), Mr Chic Donovan.
Donovan danced and strutted to the ring as only he can as Jimmy cheered him on. Chic Donovan defeated Ken Raper via FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.Donovan wasted no time. He used a reverse monkey flip on Raper right out of the gate, then followed up with a double thrust to set up his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK finisher. Lance talked about how impressive Chic Donovan looked and Eddie said he's about to see impressive when Adrian Street dismantles Brad Armstrong. Tracy Smothers and Brad Armstrong came out and Brad said he'd be even more impressed if Eddie had the guts to make it a tag team match. Street entered the scene and the four men argued back and forth until matchmaker Eddie Marlin came out and said Brad had a great idea and if Eddie doesn't like it he can find a job someplace else. Brad Armstrong and Tracy Smothers won by disqualification over Exotic Adrian Street and Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert.Brad started hot but got caught in the wrong corner and the opposing team took over. Brad and Tracy made the comeback and the action went to the floor. Eddie had Brad distracted while Street attacked Tracy with a steel chair. The ref called for the bell and Brad rushed over to help his partner, but was jumped from behind by Eddie. Street and Gilbert brutalized their adversaries at ringside and left them a bloody mess. Lance apologized to the fans for having to witness what just went down and promised Gilbert would not be joining him for commentary on the remainder of the show. He then introduced Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor. Brian said that, speaking of apologies, he and Scott would like to apologize to Jerry Brisco for what they did to him not long ago and thank him for being man enough to get in the ring and knock some humility into them. BC promised he and Scott would refocus and become the best they could be. PG-13 strutted out laughing and joking about how Taylor and Christopher "got whipped" by Brisco and Fargo and how PG-13 won their match last week against a world class team Taylor and Christopher probably couldn't stand a chance with. Brian said they can talk this week or they can show up next week and find out who the better team really is. Wolfie jumped in front of JC and accepted the match on the spot, gesturing towards the hubcap JC was holding and saying they'd "put a cap on the careers or Taylor and Christopher next week". Newcomer to the territory DANGEROUS DAN SPIVEY decimated The Masked Menace and won after a POWER BOMB.Spivey won in less than a minute over the outclassed masked man. After the match Spivey spoke with Lance and simply stated that he's here to dominate and destroy anyone and everything in his path. Lance said that's "fair enough" and welcomed out Billy Wicks. Wicks said he's here to watch the rematch between Fargo and Monroe. He knows both fight rough, but Monroe is a different sort of character and if he tries anything out of sorts Wicks is there to put a stop to it. Sputnik Monroe won by disqualification over Jackie Fargo. In a brawl from bell to bell it was Fargo who took it too far and got disqualified for choking Monroe with an electrical cord at ringside. Fargo didn't want to quit choking Monroe after the bell until Wicks ran over and pulled him off of Sputnik. Fargo was confused and said he thought Wicks hates Monroe. Wicks said he does, but this isn't the way a sportsman handles his business. Fargo said he's not a sportsman, he's a "pro wrestler" and punched Wicks in the face before walking off. Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony beat Dutch Mantell in an epic match. Thankfully a couple of the matches earlier were short, because these two gave it their all and went about fifteen minutes. In the end Anthony caught Dutch going to the top rope in an uncharacteristic move and slammed him off the top. He followed with the BUCKSNORT BLASTER for the win. Anthony walked over to Lance after the match and said he officially puts everyone in the area on notice, Dirty White Boy is here to hurt people and make money.

AWA ALL STAR WRESTLINGw/ your host, Larry Nelson
Larry did the show intro from the studio and talked up the show for the evening, including the RETURN of Jumpin Jim Brunzell, Larry Zbyszko in action, and the main event stemming from last week's action when Baron Von Raschke meets Mad Dog Vachon.
BUT FIRST, a HUGE announcement. The AWA will be taking part in the first ever PRO WRESTLING USA Supercard coming up in Baltimore. Most of the major promotions in the country will come together to present the pinnacle of the National Wrestling Alliance under one roof, all headlined by a big NWA world title match. More on that later, but now we go to the ring.
The Long Riders, Scott and Bill Irwin defeated Nacho Barrera and Jake Milliman.Barrera and Milliman got in some good offense, but the Irwin brothers took control and Scott pinned Milliman after a SUPERPLEX. Following the bout the Long Riders spoke to Larry at ringside. Bill said he heard about that Pro Wrestling USA supershow coming up, and he can't think of a better place to call out the wanna be Long Riders Ron Bass and Black Bart. Scott said they'd be in Baltimore for the event and they'd see if Bart and Bass have the nerve to show up, too. Jumpin Jim Brunzell defeated Psycho of the Texas Hangmen.Psycho's partner Killer tried to get involved, but it backfired and Brunzell got the win with a sleeper. In the studio Larry Nelson gave an overview about what happened last week between newcomer The Trooper and Larry Zbyszko before throwing the action back to the ring for Larry Z versus Ric McCord. Larry Zbyszko won by disqualification over Ric McCord when Trooper attacked Larry.McCord made a good showing early after the required Zbyszko stalling, but Larry took over with the underhanded tactics. Larry ran McCord's head into the corner post outside of the ring and tossed him back into the ring to go for the piledriver, but Trooper ran into the ring and attacked Larry. Trooper pounded away on Larry until referee's and officials could pull him away. Larry Z ran for the locker room and Trooper spoke with Larry Nelson at ringside. Trooper was HOT and said Zbyszko called him a meter maid but he'll learn soon enough that the Trooper is the long arm of the law and that arm is long enough to reach out and grab his neck no matter where he tries to hide. The Flying Redheads beat Buddy Rose and Doug Somers (w/Sherri Martel).
The losing streak continues for Rose and Somers as Lyons pinned Somers in a good tag team match. After the bout Sherri was MAD and said things need to turn around or changes will be made. Larry Nelson interviewed NWA World Champion Nick Bockwinkel and his manager Bobby Heenan. They were talking about the Pro Wrestling USA show and potential challengers when Stan Hansen broke onto the scene. Hansen was swinging the rope and cowbell and said Bockwinkel knows who the real top contender is and he can quit ducking and put the title on the line. Heenan cut him off and said if he touches the champ he gets nothing but a restraining order. Nick said Bob Backlund thinks he's the top contender, Stan Hansen thinks he's the top contender, so the only solution is for the two to square off in a number one contenders match to decide who gets the privilege of losing to the champ in Baltimore. Mad Dog Vachon beat Baron Von Raschke. Baron had things going his way until Mad Dog retreated to the outside of the ring. Baron followed and Vachon got the drop on him. A slam on the floor led to the PILEDRIVER in the ring for the pin.

World Championship Wrestlingw/ Tony Schivone and David Crockett Tony and David began the show and were interrupted by Ivan Koloff. Ivan said he's had enough of the biased US officials and wants satisfaction. He demanded a US title match with Tommy Rich. Rich came out and said he already beat "the unstoppable Nikita" and he's not afraid to take on Uncle Ivan either, so as far as he's concerned the match is on, but he'd better make it count because Magnum TA and Tommy Rich are ready to run the reds back to Russia once and for all. Mike Jackson DEFEATED Manny Fernandez thanks to distraction by Charlie Brown.Manny was thrown off of his game by the appearance of the masked man Charlie Brown at ringside and fell victim to the FLOAT OVER CRADLE in about two minutes. * Manny was FURIOUS after the match and went over to Tony and a giddy David Crockett who couldn't stop laughing at Manny's defeat. Fernandez said Crockett may think that's real cute but nobody is going to be laughing when Jimmy Valiant gets that mask ripped off center ring and maybe his head goes with it. After the commercial Tony and David came back to talk about the Pro Wrestling USA supershow scheduled to take place in Baltimore and the challenge that was laid down by champion Nick Bockwinkel for Bob Backlund to face Stan Hansen in a number one contenders match to decide who challenges for the title in Baltimore. Bob Backlund came out to accept the challenge and said Hansen is just one more step between him and the world title. Suddenly, Backlund was attacked from behind by KHARIS THE MUMMY** who grabbed Bob in a two handed choke from behind and throttled the All American until he passed out. Manager The Sinister Minister James Mitchell ranted and raved into the microphone as David Crockett pleaded for help for Backlund, then Kharis entered the ring for his match.
Kharis The Mummy defeated Bill Mulkey in three moves.Kharis attacked with an overhand forearm, a double thrust, and finally the MAGICALLY MUMMY FOREARM for the win. Rock Riddle, the manager of the NWA tag team champions The Moondogs, entered the scene and congratulated James Mitchell on his great new find in Kharis. He said Kharis will make life miserable for anyone he faces just like the Moondogs do to every tag team foolish enough to challenge for the titles. Which brings up the topic at hand, as The Fabulous Ones face Masked Superstar and Spoiler later today to see who goes for the gold at the Pro Wrestling USA show in Baltimore. Riddle said it didn't matter to him who it is because the result is already guaranteed, but that little jerk ex-partner of his Lenny Lane had better keep out of it or he'll have a surprise waiting for him, too. The Pride Of The Carolinas Don Kernodle made a succesful debut by pinning George South.Kernodle won in impressive fashion with the Cobra Clutch. SOuth offered no offense. Tony welcomed Kernodle to the territory after the match, noting his impressive reputation as one of the top tag team wrestlers in the world. Don said he's not only the Pride Of The Carolinas, he's a proud American and he's seen enough of the Koloffs and that turncoat Redd Dogg. Redd Dogg came out to confront him and said he doesn't see any tag team parterns anywhere, but all he sees between them is air and opportunity, so if Kernodle wants some he can get in the ring and get it. Don Kernodle and Redd Dogg wrestled to a no contest in an impromptu match.Don hit his TOP ROPE CLOTHESLINE and Nikita Koloff jumped in the ring to attack. Nikita and Redd Dogg double teamed Kernodle and Dogg held Don so NIkita could KO him with the RUSSIAN SICKLE. The Fabulous Ones defeated Spoiler and Masked Superstar when Keirn pinned Spoiler.Great tag team action here, as either team could have won at different points in the match. Late in the proceedings Lenny Lane showed up and seemed to be attempting to mange the Fabs from ringside. He said something to Steve right before Stan tagged him in for the finishing blow, so maybe Lenny was helpful after all. The Fabulous Ones went over to Tony and David after the match. Lenny joined them and said maybe he's their good luck charm. Steve wasn't so sure, but Lenny insisted that with what he knows about the way Rock Riddle thinks he can guide them to the tag team titles in Baltimore. Stan said they'd think it over, but he appreciates the enthusiasm from "cousin Lenny". Wildfire Tommy Rich beat Ivan Koloff to defend the Unites States title.Ivan had Rich in deep trouble late in the match, but could not score the pin. Tommy mounted a comeback and went on to win with the THESZ PRESS. * Note: Manny straight up got BEAT here, but Charlie was there for dramatic effect. Manny needed better than a 3 to kick out and got exactly a "3" on the first pin attempt. It be's that way sometimes....and that's when you've got to get some storyline explanation involved.
** I like the name "Kharis The Mummy" better than "Prince Kharis", hence the minor alteration. And I think a match between Bob Backlund and a giant mummy is a hilarious idea. So I'm running with it. Better hope Sinister Minister doesn't go get the Yeti too!
