For Legends, my main show is 6 matches. One squash match, 1 women's match and then 4 competitive matches. I picture that as about a 90 minute show. If I were to do a secondary hour show it would probably be 4 matches.
I have in the past with a more flexible style, I would have an hour show and on a rare World Title defense that match would be the entire show.

I tend to look at my TV a few ways. It's a combination of making sure the roster is getting used and how many angles I want to run for that promotion. Like my Indy women's fed, there's only 3 matches a week but I don't want to run a long of angles there. Same with my CWF Future Shock. It's a smaller roster and I want a tigher fed with fewer angles. My main Legends fed, I have a more fluid roster with guys coming and going. I have a lot of belts and I tend to run 5-7 angles at a time so 6 match shows make sense. I find that 8 match shows take too long and even with the expansive Legends roster that you burn through matches too quickly. 6 is about the right pace as you can get your big players on about every third show. I tend to like my Legends promotion to be slower overall though.

In my feds I always believed all my shows were on TV or PPV ? I never do house shows as they are just pointless , just going through the motions ?

If you are doing it old school, then TV is really just an infomercial for the house shows. I do TV and PPV but if I feel like running a one off show, I call it a house show. But I guess with modern distribution models that show is probably getting streamed or sold on DVD/blu-ray after the fact.

My show is studio wrestling. Five matches, an opening promo or hightligths dfrom a recent arena show, a mid-way interview or music video and perhaps some closing comments. Mostly squash matches or competitive squashes. Usually four singles matches and a tag match.
I like to keep my roster small and rarely do my main eventers appear in action on the show. I will include them in the area highlights, which I also roll.

I do similar though I tend to throw in a World Title defense around Christmas or New Years as a ratings grabber or something special for the holidays.

Here's a little reference chart I made a while back to put together a TV show. A little late to the show, but that being said… That is awesome! I might try that in the future. I tend to have 6 matches on my weekly shows (3-4 squashes, 1-2 feature matches, and a main event.). And they’re 2 hrs long. I also go by the 50% rule for my televised shows, meaning for a 2 hour show, 60 total minutes are for matches and the other 60 are for entrances, post-match celebrations, promos, and commercials. For pay per views, I go by a 2/3 rule, with 2 hours for matches and 1 hour for everything else.

Here's a little reference chart I made a while back to put together a TV show. Question: If I have a recap from a recent event, followed by a promo of a wrestler reacting to the event, would that be 1 segment (0.25) or 2 segments (0.5)?

Sorry bro I don't get on here much anymore. I would consider that one seamless segment, so (0.25). Thanks, and understandable. I just got really interested in your idea. I've been trying it on past and upcoming shows. For my next one (2 hrs), I have 3 reg matches, 3 squashes, and 1 in ring segment. If I counted correctly, that means 9-10 filler. Guess my vintage guys will be getting better at promos. I also added Dark Matches (0 Points) because my last show (a SNME like event) was 8 pts for 8 reg matches, which means no room for promos, etc. Making 1-2 matches DM would give me a little breathing room. Now I'm wondering how it'd work for ppvs. The only different I could see is some matches (like Survivor, Rumbles, and longer main events) would be at least 2-3 points each. I'm just not sure about how many points for each.
