The one-move curse strikes! But it sounds like Condrey could come out the other side with some quality mentorship... Perhaps Condrey will find that... someday! Thomas Couch has a nice debut and seems to have the fans' support from the get-go. Fantastic ;-) Poffo got rag-dolled by Goodish. Not a total shock, but it does make one wonder if Randy won't be looking for payback eventually. I wish I could insert a "dun dun dunnn!" type sound effect, because I'd totally do that! Thanks for reading, Sam Fain !

Man, gotta love those 1 move matches lol Poor Condrey (not that I think he'd beat Mr. Beyer!) Nice sneaky victory by the tag champs... if only Riddle wouldve used a roll of quarters it would almost be poetic justice in a weird cosmic way. Main event sounded awesome... where's Orndorff when Roop needs him! Great read!!! SIGN PAUL ORNDORFF *sorry* Paul Orndorff is a huge favorite of mine. I would love to sign him. I have met him at the TNTHOF induction, but the opportunity didn't really present itself. Still working on that one. I totally dropped the ball not having Larry Z get popped with a roll of dimes (it was dimes, I remember Bockwinkel saying "a *** damn roll of dimes!) Maybe Riddle will use more treacherous means if there's a title rematch? Thanks for commenting Ken West ! Orndorff would be an awesome signing... if shoot stats were done I wonder what his Rahl rating would be? You are right... it was a roll of dimes. That is one of my favorite matches, I remember marking out when I saw it when they originally aired it on ESPN. I remember Stevens was upset on commentary before he went in and confronted Larry and Curt. Great memories.

Yeah, had to look up Thomas Couch and a certain Polynesian star (figured it was him, but like to make sure) Roll of dimes because Larry Z is too cheap for quarters. Some great action. Orndorff would be wonderful of course.

Episode T5 - September 29 After Freddie Miller’s familiar intro, Gordon Solie welcomes viewers to this week’s show, and we get down to action…
INTERVIEW - Gordon reviews the results at last week’s Omni show, including the near pinfall Bob Roop had on Jack Brisco, the tag team championship match, and Frank “The Hammer” Goodish’s victory.
Larry Zbyszko vs. Rock Riddle (1) - Fans were behind Zbyszko in this match, who was looking for revenge from the tag title match in the Omni. Zbyszko was very aggressive and dominated Riddle. Zbyszko won with a crunching delayed vertical suplex.
INTERVIEW - Gordon introduces the bracketing for the Georgia TV Championship, which will be contested for in a tournament over the next few weeks.
GTVC Round #1 - Jerry Brisco vs. J.J. Dillon - Brisco began the match by locking Dillon in an armbar. Dillon kept trying to escape, but Brisco would arm drag him and hold him down in the armbar. Dillon smartly kicked off the second turnbuckle while in the arm bar, which sent both competitors crashing to the mat. Dillon ended up on top of the heap and the referee counted three! Dillon scooted out of the ring and celebrated while Brisco looked stunned and bewildered.
Kevin Sullivan (1) vs. Dennis Condrey (1) - Two young grapplers squared off in our next match, as Kevin Sullivan returned to the area after a brief tour of the Tennessee territory. Dennis Condrey looked more composed than his recent outing against the Destroyer. Condrey struck first, scoring a near fall with a big body slam. The Boston strongman came back and overpowered Condrey, blasting him with a powerful backbreaker and a pair of knee lifts. He used a high back body drop on Condrey, and began to work over his back. Sullivan wound his opponent up into his BOSTON CRAB finisher, and Condrey submitted.
INTERVIEW - Frank “The Hammer” Goodish comes out to the podium, barking all the way! He boasts of his destruction of Randy Poffo, last week at the Omni. He tells Gordon “you’d have to wrestle like a savage to beat me!” He says he’ll win the GTVC and dominate the promotion.
GTVC Round #1 - Frank “The Hammer” Goodish vs. Mike Graham - Goodish was fired up after his interview with Solie and hit the ring like a tornado! After battering Graham with some wild punches and a bruising body slam, Graham sidestepped a buckle charge and fired off some forearms of his own. Graham took control and even got Goodish into his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, but Goodish made the ropes. Graham went to the air with a big dropkick, but Goodish hung onto the ropes, sending Graham crashing to the mat. Goodish went airborne with his big JUMPING KNEE DROP and got the victory to advance in the tournament!
INTERVIEW - As Solie attempts to close the show, he is interrupted by an irate Rock Riddle and Bobby Heenan. Heenan screams that Larry Zybszko “hooked the tights” on the winning suplex, and he’d never pin Riddle a second time. Riddle challenges Zybszko “any time, any place” for a rematch. Zybszko comes out and accepts the challenge, promising to be ready next week for a rematch. Gordon Solie thanks the fans for watching, and reminds them to tune in next week for more action on Georgia Championship Wrestling!

I'm liking Goodish in the tournament to make a run! And I'm liking the Larry Z-Riddle dynamic, could be a fun little feud! The action is hot on WATG!

J.J. over Jerry is a big upset! Jerry's not going to be happy about that outcome. As you can see from my avatar, I'm interested to see how Kevin Sullivan does in your territory. Keep up the great work, brother!

Episode T6 - October 6 After Freddie Miller’s familiar intro, Gordon Solie welcomes viewers to this week’s show, and we get down to action…
Georgia TV Championship - Round #1 - Ivan Koloff (4) vs. Lani Kealoha (3) - This was an outstanding match, with all out action from the outset! Koloff started off strong, but Kealoha’s amazing aerial assault turned the match around. He came off the top rope twice with his HAWAIIAN PLUNGE but Koloff managed to kick out. The Russian battled back, leveling Kealoha with his RUSSIAN SICKLE move. Kealoha kicked out to the delight of the studio audience! As the battled spilled out to the floor, it appeared that referee Bobby Simmons might throw the match out. Realizing the importance of this match, Simmons allowed it to continue but urged the competitors back into the ring. Koloff and Kealoha continued to hammer each other big moves, until Kealoha used a running cross body block to get the three count. The fans exploded seeing the young Pacific grappler upset the veteran wrestler! *****
INTERVIEW - Gordon Solie invited Kealoha over to the interview podium. Kealoha gave an impassioned interview, thanking the fans for their support. Solie encouraged the fans to continue to tune in as the Georgia TV Championship tournament continued.
Thomas Couch (1) & Kevin Sullivan vs. Randy Poffo (2) & Mr. X - Couch and Mr. X started off in the ring together. The masked man gave Couch all he could handle, forcing the tag to Sullivan. After a brief exchange, Poffo vaulted over the top rope into the ring and exchanged punches with Sullivan. Sullivan and Couch had better tag team continuity and were able to take control of the bout. Sullivan used his BOSTON CRAB to force the masked man to submit.
Georgia TV Championship - Round #1 - Jim Brunzell vs. Dennis Condrey - Two young competitors locked up in the final first round match for the Georgia TV Championship. Condrey gained an early advantage, but Brunzell got the submission victory with the figure four leglock.
INTERVIEW - Solie chats with Jim Brunzell, who talks of his increased training regimen in preparation for an excursion to the West Coast during the month of November. He promises to win the Georgia TV title and use it as a stepping stone for a NWA World Championship title shot. NWA Showcase Match - Greensboro, NC - Blackjack Mulligan (4) vs. The Masked Superstar (1) - Solie narrated over some film clips of a recent match from Greensboro, NC, where Blackjack Mulligan defended his Eastern States Heavyweight Championship against former partner the Masked Superstar. From the match footage, Superstar dominated his former partner, including busting him open after a wicked ringpost shot. Mulligan was able to turn the match around and pinned the Superstar after a high kick to the face. Referee Tommy Young failed to notice Superstar’s foot under the boot rope. Superstar has filed an official protest with NWA President Sam Muchnick, NWA Commissioner Lou Thesz, and the NWA Board of Directors in order to get a rematch.
INTERVIEW - Larry Zybszko enters the interview area with his arm in a sling, having suffered a shoulder injury during a match in Macon, GA, earlier in the week. He promised a suitable replacement as his tag team partner Mike Graham entered the ring. Riddle said “he trained specifically” for Zybszko, but Bobby Heenan assured him “the two punks” were similar, and he’d easily beat Graham.
TV Main Event - Mike Graham vs. Rock Riddle (2) - Riddle attacked Graham at the outset, but the young lion turned the match around. He controlled the bout with sleepers, cross body blocks, and even managed to get Riddle in the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. To Riddle’s credit, he made it to the ropes. As the battle waged on, both competitors tumbled to the floor, where they continued to slug away. Referee Scrappy McGowan rattled off the 10 count and had no choice but to rule the match a double countout.
INTERVIEW - Solie reviews many of the matches signed for the October 20 show at the Omni:
World Heavyweight Championship - Jack Brisco vs. Nick Bockwinkel The Destroyer vs. Bob Roop Thomas Couch & Tommy Gilbert, Jr. vs. Baron Von Raschke & Fritz Von Goering J.J. Dillon has an open contract for October 20

That was a very exciting performance by the Pacific Islander and his Russian opponent to kick things off... And the main event finish offered plenty of drama to end the show... Awesome stuff!
